Interference question

Just a quick question, I hope.

Last night, while booking a match for my card, I ran into an interesting thing in regards to interference.

First, what I was trying to do: simply, I was trying to book a DQ finish in a match, and have someone intefere. It was a singles match, so it was supposed to look like X vs Y with Q causing an interference on X for a DQ. Simple, I thought.

And it worked, but here's the question: why does TNM force me to have someone interfere on Y? I don't want anyone to interfere on Y, but it forces me to have someone interfere or else it won't go any further in booking the match.

I ended up booking a test match in my test federation, and the interference happened as I wanted, more or less, but the second person never showed up. Is that intentional? If so, why is there a second person interfering in the match? If not, why didn't this person interfere? (I'm aware that I didn't WANT a second interference, but again, why force the user to select someone if it doesn't affect anything (or is it working on some level we don't see?)?)

Hope that's not too confusing. It's not a big problem or anything, just a curiosity to me at this point.

Edit: I just ran my card, and sure enough, both interfered. But as I said earlier, I didn't want someone to interfere on each person in the match, but I wasn't given an option. Anyone?

I think maybe you were going too fast and missed something. Here's a step by step rundown.

1. new card
2. singles match
3. select wrestlers
4. select finished
5. check book match
6. select ok
7. select new spot
8. select dq
9. select the person executing the action (select the wrestler you want the interference to be against here, the winner by DQ)
10. enter time
11. select done
12. select one interferer
13. type name of interferer
14. select wrestler to be interfered against (same wrestler as in step #9)
15. select yes when it asks are you sure
16. yes or no to select outside interference options
17. will someone else interfere YES or NO, for your case it is no obviously
18. is all of this ok, select yes

The match will then be ready.
I think the main confusion is on step #9, you need to pick the person who is getting interfered with, the winner by DQ, then when you get to step #14, you will obviously select the same person again. If you do step #9 incorrectly, you WILL end up having to set up interferers for both wrestlers, because if you tell it to book a dq and select wrestler x, and then get to the next part and select wrestler y as the person to be interfered with, you still have to have someone interfere with wrestler x, because thats the spot you booked.

I was sitting here running a test card as I was writing this out, so I know it works. But please, anyone feel free to clarify anything that I may have under/over stated.

And 2 more pieces of advice for anyone, words of wisdom I go by, always consult the manual, and always run a test circuit.

I bet that's it. It's not real clear on who is doing what or what it happening to whom for that part, and even after reading the manual, I wasn't real certain on that (though I may have glanced right over that part in the manual in my haste to figure out what I was doing wrong).

I'm going to fire up my test circuit and give this a try.

Thank you much.
