TNM7-- Worth the buy?

Justin WPosted on 03/13/03 at 02:46:20

The subject pretty much says it all. I've played the game before, but is it worth the $35?

Any opinions of the game and price would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

It is definatly worth it if you have a longer attention span twords your games and can deal without the fancy graphics. I personally think the price is a little high but I was a TNM6.2plus user so I got a phatty discount. I prefer TNM to every other wrestling game/sim I own with the exeception of FireProWrestliing.

All da cool kidz have it, its all the rage!  ITS DA SHIZIT!!!

Ok, seriously, its a very solid program that is easily the best at what it does: being a wrestling simulator program.  Honestly, thats not something everyone or even every wrestling fan would want.  If you download the trial and like what you see, then its worth it, simple as that.  Most TNMers have been using it for years - the relaunch of TNM7.com has brought a number of them out of the woodwork :)

As Lilla says, downloading the trial is your best option, and there's not much that can be added to that.

I'll put it this way.  I've spent forty, fifty, sixty, seventy bucks for a video game for just about every home game system imaginable when I had them all, only to beat them and never play them again--aside from fighting games and classics like CastleVania: Symphony of the Night.

I bought TNM7 yeaaaaaars ago, and I play it and have played it more than any video game I've ever bought.

It might seem a little steap steep steip however you spell that bastard word when you look at the price, but the millage you get from the thing assures you that you'll get your money's worth out of it.  And then some.

You can't compare TNM to a computer game because you're in complete control with TNM.
I've had it for years now, and always find new things to do with it. I started out running a fed in email mode with all wrestlers in there and just at random doing matches. Then I simulated the WCW and the WWF. Now I'm doing a fed with wrestlers I created from scratch. This is the reason why TNM lasts longer than other games. Where the other games dictate you where to go, here the only limit is your own imagination.

Aside from the fact that it hasn't been $35 for more than a year *g*, it all depends on what your usage patterns are.

If you download the trial and find that you're using it maybe for half an hour a week, I wouldn't recommend purchasing it.

What I've heard from several customers, though, is TNM 7 is a great travel companion when on long flights, train trips or simply for killing time in hotels.
