Yeah, is it just an amazing co-incidence or are matches in TNM that go less than 15 minutes capped at **** 1/4?

For my televised shows, I usually have 8 matches, allowing no more than 15 minutes per match and on most shows I'll get a **** or ****1/4 match but never higher apart from the few special occassions I allow a match to go longer (and lo and behold, I get ****1/2+). We all know that in reality, matches can go below 15 or even 10 minutes and still get above ****1/4, so what's the deal there?

Or am I just really unlucky?

You're just really unlucky.  When I started playing TNM a few years ago, I had a match between Ken Shamrock and Toshiaki Kawada goe around 5 minutes  and it got 5 stars.

That's the problem with using the wrestlers TNM came with and not editing them.  No way should Shamrock's workrate be that high. ;)  But that's another issue entirely.

Have to second Fighter Hayabusa (good reference to the good old NES days BTW *g*). There is no cap on matches as far as match time goes.

However, it IS hard to exceed **** 1/4, so that may come out as the cap you're writing about.
