Ideas to look at

ChaosbringerPosted on 07/01/06 at 06:13:47

I have a few possible add ons/questions.

1) ROH did a 4-Way 60 min-Iron Man Match to crown it's first World Champion.  I like this idea but was unable to reproduce it when I tried to schedule it in my circuit.  I ended up having to do a 4-Man 30 min-Iron Man TNM.  Needless to say not as cool.

2) Is there a way to run a Submission Match??  If not can there be??

3) Booking Options should be added like allowing Tag Partners turn on each other, or am I just missing this??

4) Can any of the TNA Gimmicks like Ultimate X or King of the Mountain be run on TNM??

1) Yes, that would be a good idea. And I don't see how it is not possible though. Oliver might say otherwise though. :-)

2) Yes there is. It's an easter egg. To run a Submission Match, assign the name "Submission Match" (without the quotes).

3) I think that would give TNM more angles to work with. I always thought when I read the spot in the writeups "Wrestler X leaves the ring" meant the wrestler turned on his tag team partner.

4) I'd assume Ultimate X could be done in a FCA Match. (It's a plugin). However, I don't know how true to the real match it would be. Although, isn't Ultimate X basically a glorified ladder match?

As for King of the Mountain, isn't it basically a Four Way Ladder Match?

I use Ladder matches but I think Hanging from the Cable potentially adds more spots.

Actually it is a 5-Way where you must first pin an opponent and then Hang the Title instead of pulling it down.  The Key is your pinfall/submission must be active.  It's interesting.

Well, could you just book a five man battle royal with pinfalls/submissions on and just use your imagination for the title hanging to win the match? I know I had to just make a 6 Man Tag Team Ladder match in place of the Money in the Bank Match for WrestleMania, and edited it to read as if it were a six man wrestling match.

I can't wait until TNM gets an upgrade.

Ultimate X is available at TNM UK as a match usable with the FCA Cubed plugin. It is, however, only for two wrestlers at a time.

That, and FCA Cubed is awful because of how buggy it is.

That might actually be an easy way to do a tag turn -- just allow the action of a wrestler walking out of the match to be bookable (since there's already a flag for that). Then, after booking the walk-out, allow the person who walked out to come back and interfere against his former partner. No changes to the game engine necessary. Mind you, it's not as nice as just having a turn occur in the ring, but it would be (potentially) a way to do it without much work on Oliver's part. All he'd have to do is add "Walks Out" to the list of bookable actions.

Well, I already ran a "Snabbit for Admin" campaign. Maybe it's time to make a campaign for "Proux for Junior TNM Programmer".
