Every freaking time I try to run a match...

sphanlonPosted on 12/22/06 at 04:59:06

this is what I get

Error Code:  75
Line of code:  417096

anyone know what's up with this? I can't run any matches, this always happens.

Forgot to mmention I did run the diagnostic plugin and it says the dbs are fine, so it must be something else I guess.

Are you running Windows 2000/XP?  Have you tried this?
sphanlonPosted on 12/22/06 at 19:33:41

Thanks anyway, but no dice. I've tried running the game with only one export file worth of wrestlers, now it only gives a runtime error a little more than every other match, oh joy! This game is unplayable right now. I have a new computer, quite powerful, lots of memory, blah blah. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the game several times. There's got to be something more than the amount of wrestlers. I refuse to believe many of you would be playing it if it simply glitched out when you have a 20 man roster or more.

It sounds as though it may be your computer.  Maybe it's too powerful? :-/

Do you have a lot of background programs running while using TNM7?  Like anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc?  If so, maybe shutting them off might help?

I don't know. I have no idea what to do. i emailed Oliver, but nothing yet. How responsive is he? Does he get back to even demo users? I'm sure not buying it if this is all I can ever do with it, so he should help people like me.

Oliver's very helpful to everyone.  However, there are times when Oliver isn't always fully available.  But he'll get back to you as soon as he can.  ;D

When you say one export file worth- how many wrestlers would that be? Cuz that's usually what messes people up with runtime errors. I'm hoping Oliver can help you out- it's really a fun program. I've been around since 6.2. Good luck!

can you or anyone tell me what's the biggest roster you've had being able to run the game smoothly. I've tried just running it with the latest RAW export file on the download  page here.

Thanks guys, I got it serviceably working. I kept just quitting out of frustration everytime I got the error, figuring everything was just totally messed up for that card at that point. But I found out if I do the "hit any button to retry match", it only takes once or twice to get the match going and finish. It's still not preferable, but at least I can run shows.
triad4evrPosted on 12/23/06 at 20:56:37

Once in awhile I have that problem, too, but not more than maybe one out of ten cards or so- one thing that might be a factor- when I have that problem, it's usually with wrestlers that have long theme songs- most of my guys have just 30-60 second snippets but a few have the full length song, and those are the guys that are usually involved in the match when it crashes out for me like that- maybe there's your answer- are all your wrestlers using full-length songs?
sphanlonPosted on 12/23/06 at 21:06:35

Oh, I don't even know. I'm new to this and I've only played the game with my speakers off so far. Can I remove theme songs from wrestlers, I don't need them. Will that work?
HugeRockStar760Posted on 12/23/06 at 21:37:12

Sometimes the Image Visualizer will cause problems and make TNM exit, at least for me. Not sure if that is similar to your error with the game.

Wrestlers won't have music unless you give it to them.

I think HRS is on the right track.

From the Main Menu, go to Options and make sure Visualizer is unchecked. Then see if you can run matches ok.
