Edit a Booked Card

kurropt_antagonistPosted on 01/22/05 at 16:44:29

As the subject says, I'd like to be able to edit a card that I've not yet run, but have already booked.

There have been so many times where I've messed up during a card only to realize it AFTER I've saved it.

The lastest one was a card where I ran a World Tag Team Title Tournament... only there were no titles on the line.  Now, I realize after I run the card, I could just edit in the Tag Titles, but it seems the records wouldn't recognize a title change that way.

Yeah, being able to look at and edit your card before running it is a big wish for me as well. I know you can see the card lineup while still in the booking mode, but it should also say if there are any special rules applying to the match, as I've had a couple of instances where I accidentally booked an Iron Man Match in a normal match.. guess my fingers work a little to fast for my eye..

You should definitely be able to change the match order of a card before it runs.  For example, often times I will know what my main event matches are first, and would like to be able to book them first, but still run them at the end of the card.  I've always considered this a bug in TNM.

If you use the Circuit Editor and add in the title winning line, it will recognize them.

eg. (The Basham Brothers won the WWE Tag Team Titles.)

Both the title history function and the Weight Class Wizard (if you use it) will recognize it that way.

I might be able to do this.
I already do this on my own so I can probibly do it into a plugin. I'll try once I finish my current project.

In the current world, editing a card after saving it isn't possible anymore - I'm sorry for that. Reason is that once you save your card, it is preprocessed such that the match engine knows what it is supposed to do. It isn't saved in a format that the card scheduler can work with again once the scheduler is exited.

Sorry!
