Hey everybody,

Just wanted to let you know that I'm working on upgrading the forum software so spammers won't have such an easy time anymore.

The only problem so far: the migration isn't working. The forum software's migration routine regularly crashes midway during user migration. I'm working with YaBB's developers and support community to find the problem.

I guess people would rather not start over, right ;-)?

exactly.  starting over is not good.  would most likely do irrepairable damage to the community.

thanks for checking into the upgrade for the forums.  hope the migration goes well.  :)

Just had another unsuccessful upgrade attempt. May take a bit longer still :-/

I've set up new unofficial boards here:

This is not an official replacement but until such time as Oliver is able to make an official one it'll have to do.  It uses Captcha and it can also be set up to require new accounts to be approved by Mods if necceary so it should be able to stay spam-free.
