Tap-out....
james_mercurial | Posted on 06/24/04 at 11:26:43 i'd like to see tapping out as a new form of winning a match. not getting rid of the submission way of course, but i think having a 'Tap Out' match could be good! opinion's? |
Owen Hart RIP | Posted on 06/24/04 at 16:16:40 great idea! |
PeteF3 | Posted on 06/27/04 at 07:29:44 And, uh, what exactly is the difference between a submission and a tapout? |

americamamushi | Posted on 06/28/04 at 17:15:20 just name the match "Submission Match" and you'll get a true submission match. |
Critic of the Dawn | Posted on 06/28/04 at 17:32:03 He just wants the text changed a bit to keep up with the times, I expect. Instead of this: American Dragon submits after 34 seconds. he wants this: American Dragon taps out after 34 seconds. This would presumably carry over into the match results as well. Chris Benoit made American Dragon submit to the Crippler Crossface in 23:53. Rating: ****3/4 would become Chris Benoit made American Dragon tap out to the Crippler Crossface in 23:53. Rating: ****3/4 Personally, I just assume that a submission is a tap out unless the move used is one that traps both arms. They're pretty much synonomous these days. Eric "Critic of the Dawn" |
