some Memphis exports up on TNM UK

Memphis_VicePosted on 06/30/07 at 06:09:37

Just wanted to holler at all the old Mempho-maniacs and let them know that a 5-pack of my recently created Memphis territory exports have been accepted by TNM UK.

TNM UK is found at http://petabr.freehostia.com/

My Memphis pack is in the vastly underrated Miscellaneous section located at http://petabr.freehostia.com/Misc.htm

Wrestlers included: Andy Kaufman, P.Y. Chu-Hi, Memphis Vice (Lou Winston & Jerry Bryant), and T.D. Steele. There'll be more in the weeks to come, including a cleaned-up, more accurate "in his prime" Jerry Lawler.

I was just thinking today how it would be nice if there was a Memphis export pack.  I grew up not far from Memphis and watched wrestling every Saturday morning.  Keep the exports coming.  Will Jerry's fireball be included?

Already is. Fireball is his desperation move and steel chain is his foreign object of choice.

I've done a little research to shore up my foggy memories of Austin Idol and Brickhouse Brown toward the goal of making exports of them. Found plenty of Austin Idol stuff online, but not so much for Brickhouse. Any lists or memories on movesets, finishers, height&weight, styles, etc. for any Memphis guys you'd like to see would be appreciated.

Other names I'm thinking of getting around to but would like a refresher course on: Chick Donovan, Dirty White Boys (Tony Anthony has a commonly available T.L. Hopper export around & I believe the most common 2nd DWB in the Memphis incarnation was Jerry Stubbs, whom I read about yesterday), Keith Eric, Keith Roberson, Tommy Gilbert, King Cobra, Nightmares Ken Wayne & Danny Davis, Pat Rose, Tony Falk, Ron Sexton, El Grande Pistolero, Robert Reed, Jackie Fargo, Nuthouse Fargo, Sputnik Monroe, William "The Freezer" Thompson, Frankie Lancaster, Action Jackson, "Breakdancin'" Mark Regan, Mark "The Beast" Moline, David Haskins, Angelo Poffo, Sweet Daddy Siki, The Barroom Brawlers (Doug Vines & ?), Dirty Rhodes, Don Bass.... these are a few of the names running through my head that I have been unable to find exports for.

I moved away from Memphis in '92 and thus have never seen people I've heard of there in more recent years like Reggie B. Fine, Tyler Gates, Derek White, Mike Doggendorf.. I'm not sure I've even seen what Corey Maclin looks like. My brain seems to have some kinda placeholder there that looks like a cross between Eddie Marlin and Dave Brown the Weather Clown  :P

19 new classic Memphis exports on the way as soon as I can walk a floppy over from home to this internet machine, i.e. in the next day or two.

Looking forward to them.   Keep it coming!  Have you watched any of the new Memphis?  I've caught the last few weeks, the guy who hosts/books(atleast that's what OWW says) is a terrible announcer but some of the talent is okay.  Nothing to write home about but not unwatchable.

The most I've seen of anything later than '92 is clips off YouTube.  :'(

I've picked up the shows on pwtorrents.net after just joining.  I hope its not against board rules to say anything about that.  One of the guys who lives in the area I guess posts the one hour shows every week and I've been checking it out.
