Need help with some stats

disciplesixxxPosted on 01/14/06 at 06:20:26

I'm working on making some "classic" versions of certain wrestlers for a new "Legends" fed that I'm creating, but I'm not real good at coming up with realistic stats for workrate, stamina, and charisma.  What would be realistic values for these three stats for the following wrestlers when they were in their primes:

Ric Flair
Hulk Hogan
Shawn Michaels
Undertaker
Randy Savage
Roddy Piper
Hawk
Animal

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

as far as stats go, all these guys had top-notch charisma and Piper, Savage, Flair and Michales were all great in ring performers so in the mid to high 90's for workrate each, in his prime I'd say 'taker would be in the mid to high 80's while Hawk, Animal and  Hogan would be in the mid 70'2 to low 80's.
Stamina would be a biggest question mark here, both Flair & Michaels were capable of going an hour (and both have) so they'd be close to if not at 100, in their primes, both Savage and Piper should be mid to high 80's for stamina while 'Taker I think would be in the low 80's to mid 70's, Hogan and the Road Warriors had the worst stamina and didn't participate in to many long matches, I'd say mid 70's on their best days to high 60's on the low end.....
but hey, I've started the ball rolling, let's see what the other guys think.....

First up, I was of the impression that workrate also translates to the number of moves used within a period of time, which would greatly lower the rating of someone like Undertaker. My own ratings for these folks in their prime would be something like:

Michaels: 95
Flair: 90
Savage: 90
Piper: 87
Hogan: 75 (even in his prime, he was very methodical on offense)
Animal/Hawk: 70
Undertaker: 60

For charisma, I'd agree that almost all of these guys would be 90+. Hogan and Flair probably approach 100, with Savage and Piper around 95 and the rest around 90-92.

For stamina, I'd definitely give Flair 100, and Michaels...well, maybe a tad lower, perhaps 97. Hogan, while he may have fought short matches for the most part, did have the capability to go much longer, as is demonstrated by his work in Japan during the same era. I'd probably peg him at about 80-85, with Savage maybe a little higher, say 87, and Piper a little lower, maybe 78 or so. Undertaker also didn't work too many long matches in his prime, but has shown he can go longer when needed, so I'd probably give him 80-85 as well. I'm not quite as sure on the Road Warriors, but 70-ish sounds right.

Thanks for the help.

I was thinking of straight 100s for Flair, and possibly the same for Michaels.

A lot of what I came up with was pretty close to what you two suggested, so I must be getting the hang of this.

87 is way too high for Piper.  Even at his peak he really wasn't any better than Hogan--just a kicker and a puncher.  Awkward bumper, too.  Piper was a great personality but never a great in-ring worker.  I'd put him around 75-78.

I agree that Piper was never a *good* wrestler. However, workrate is more of a measure of pace, and in his prime Piper was quite a bit more active in the ring than Hogan was, even if his moveset was even more limited than the Hulkster's.
