 5) Sideshow Kjell
His name is Sideshow Kjell?? Lol.. that is hilarious.. Kjell is a Norwegian name.. kind of a goofy name.. if you know what I mean.. like Billy Bob for you guys.. hehe.. lol
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 12/04/04 at 18:19:07

Now that you think of it, I busted out laughing when it came to name Kjell.
Rick GarrardPosted on 12/05/04 at 22:15:45

yes Kjell is a Norwegian name.  And if you google it, the top name is for Kjell & Co, which appears to be almost like a Best Buy or a Circuit City type of store, so I highly doubt it to be a "billy bob" type of name.

Also let's not forget two former NHL'ers with the Kjell name:
Kjell Samuelsson and Kjell Dahlin

I'm guessing at the Sideshow Kjell gimmick, but I would think it to be more of a "strongman" type of schtick, since most of the better competitors in the yearly World's Strongest Man competition are from that region of the world than anywhere else.

meanwhile... after a visit to upw.com...
Looks like the Kjell gimmick is just a gimmick.   The guy's a light heavyweight.

And on a side note... did you know:  That Tough Enough 3 star, The Miz has been training and working with UPW since 2002?  And Justice Smith is ALSO a trained wrestler as well?   It seems that only shootfighter Daniel Puder hasn't at one time or another graced the "finishing school of the WWE's" ring in UPW.

So the end of TE3 is going to CLEARLY be a work.  Puder vs The Miz.  with Puder siding with Hardbore Holly and The Miz with Al Snow for the "Dixie Dogfight" boxing match at the PPV.  (at least that's the guess, based on Puder being the only one to shake Holly's hand in the ring last week, while The Miz was taunting Holly)
TerryFunkaPosted on 12/05/04 at 22:41:29

I think both will eventually be in WWE in some role as have pretty much every tough enough contestant so the winner doesnt mean shit.
Snabbit888Posted on 12/05/04 at 22:52:35

Except the winner gets a $250,000 a year contract and the runner-up will get $500 a week if he's lucky.  That means a lot.
TerryFunkaPosted on 12/05/04 at 23:31:29

lets look at past tough enoughs

tough enough 1 - maven (chronic injuries) , Nowinski (injuries),Nidia(fired),Josh Matthews (announcer)
tough enough 2 - Miss Jackie (they wont even let her wrestle real matches), Linda Miles (manager and doesnt wrestle)
tough enough 3 - haha both guys are in ovw or somewhere sittin there gettin paid doin shit

they both will be in wwe eventually and the miz has lhis reality show connections he can just do realworld/road rules challenges for money, and Puder can just do shoot fights.

And if you happen to be from Norway, you'd probably know, right? Dunno if the comparison is right, but Kjell IS a goofy name in Norway. I am Norwegian, I should know.
Other goofy Norwegian names are: Kenneth, Leif, Ronny and Jonny.
Even though it appears a lot on google doesn't mean it's not goofy.

This doesn't even make sense.  Johnny Nitro and Matt Cappotelli are both training and such.  They're not sitting on their asses doing nothing.  Miss Jackie doesn't get to wrestle real matches because she's not skilled enough to.  Linda Miles was fired for having a crap attitude.  Nowinski had skills but suffered an unfortunate injury.  Maven's had injuries but is solid and is getting a push.  Nidia got fired because well, she was nothing special.

So I don't really see what this post had to do with anything.
TerryFunkaPosted on 12/06/04 at 00:44:20

winning tough enough while givin you a contract or money as you can see none of them have exactly blown the fish out of the water so to speak and whats mavens excuse?hes the first winner for cryin out loud
Snabbit888Posted on 12/06/04 at 01:49:36

Winning Tough Enough wasn't a guaranteed mega push.  Hardcore Holly's been in the WWE over a decade, and he's never been World champion.  What's his excuse?  Your argument is flawed here.
TerryFunkaPosted on 12/06/04 at 02:33:37

Well he had matches with Lesnar that flopped and injuries.
Snabbit888Posted on 12/06/04 at 02:50:30

That, and he's not talented enough to be World champion.  I love Hardcore Holly, but yeah, not gonna happen.  You seem to have a mistaken thought process that the longer you're there, the better you should do.  If that's the case, Undertaker and Holly would be feuding over the World Heavyweight Title, trading it back and forth.  Not a pretty sight.
TerryFunkaPosted on 12/06/04 at 02:54:00

No, longer you their more you improve if you improve at all.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 12/06/04 at 23:55:02

Getting back to the subject. I wanted to know if anyone had any UPW exports for download? Let me know.
Snabbit888Posted on 12/07/04 at 01:50:33

If anyone did, I'm sure they'd tell you, regardless of where this thread ended up. :)
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 06/21/05 at 00:19:10

It's been awhile, I wanted to know if anyone had any UPW exports? Past or Present shows. It doesn't matter.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 06/21/05 at 00:43:13

They would've let you know by now.

Seriously, enough of these monthly or weekly checks of yours. It's seriously getting annoying. You're doing it in the discussion forum as well.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 06/22/05 at 00:25:28

This is why I no longer display any of my circuits online. It's people like you that always ruin it for me.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 06/22/05 at 01:07:00

No, you ruin it for yourself. You overcomplicate everything with your circuits. For instance, you act as if your circuit can't be complete without certain plugins. Plugins that aren't necessary and can just be better served by using your imagination (the arena plugin and GM plugin).

And you do rub people here the wrong way. You must see this, right?

Post your circuit. You actually get more replies than most people do on here.
Rick GarrardPosted on 06/22/05 at 03:51:11

I would concur.  People would rather reply to JimiC's circuits that usually die an overbooked death than to mine that have plenty of history and backstory to them.

And to follow-up to Snabbit's post on the Tough Enough Alums...

tough enough 1 - maven (Simon Dean's water boy) , Nowinski (post concussion syndrome but still under WWE contract),Nidia(fired),Josh Matthews (Velocity's #1 announcer)
tough enough 2 - Miss Jackie (Marrying Charlie Haas is the only thing she got out of the deal), Linda Miles (fired)
tough enough 3 - Matt Cappotelli (OVW), Johnny Nitro (one half of Smackdown WWE Tag Team  Champions with Joey "Mercury" Matthews), Matt Morgan (former bodyguard to Carlito on SD!)
tough enough 4 - Dan Puder (working indies), Mike Mizanin (recently appeared on yet another MTV Road Rules/Real World special and is the current reigning champion of most reality TV show appearances), Marty Wright (old guy that lied about his age, was cut before the final 8, is now in OVW and is slated to soon be the "BoogeyMan" in WWE)

Could it be?  The long lost brother of Bastion Booger?! :)

Numerous UPW talents are in the PWG export on TNM-UK. I'm not sure if that helps but it's worth a shot.
