TNM Puroresu Project

DragonShirasayaPosted on 08/10/03 at 17:54:51

First, you should go check out a post I just made earlier...

http://www.tnm7.de/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=2;action=display;num=1060530131

What could I be hinting at? Well, for a long time, TNM has lacked the people who make good puroresu exports. There have been a few, but most just make a pack or two and then have no reason to do more. Well, with the renewed interest in TNM, the time has come for me to step into this realm. So yes, coming very soon, I will start to pump out accurate puroresu exports. I have loads of footage sitting around that I might as well put to good use.

What can people expect? The theme for this project might as well be, "Quality over quantity". I cannot guarentee the number of exports I will end up doing. I will however, attempt to do as many of the most requested wrestlers as I can. Not only will I be doing current wrestlers, but I will also be doing versions of wrestlers from different wrestlers. I am glad that legends exports were announced right before I make this announcement, as I feel these exports tie in nicely with that project.

I do need a little help with this, however. What kind of help? Well for one, I need to see what wrestlers are the most requested. So, it would be a good idea to reply to this thread and tell me what wrestlers you would like me to work on. Secondly, I will need a place to host these exports. If any of the people with sites are interested in hosting these exports, you can also respond in this thread.

I hope this proves to be benefitial to some people who want the very best puroresu exports.

I'd be more than happy to host them over at TNM UK.

An Update to anyone who cares:

Right now, I have no idea when the first pack will be coming out. Here is who to expect as of right now:

Satoshi Kojima (AJPW)
Keiji Mutoh (AJPW)

Plus, a retro Shiryu (Kaz Hayashi) from 1996.

I don't know how much interest this is going to garner, but please, if you have a request, make one. I'll do my best to accomodate it. Right now, I'd like to add two more wrestlers before this pack is released.

Does Joshi Wrestlers count?
DragonShirasayaPosted on 08/15/03 at 04:06:48

Yes, but I will tell you, that joshi footage only makes up a small percentage of my tapes (but this is coming from a man with 1400+ tapes in his house). And what I do have isn't exactly recent. However, I will try my best to do something, as long as you don't mind the movesets being outdated by a couple of years. Though you know, very few joshi wrestlers actually change their movesets that dramatically, so it honestly wouldn't matter.

So the short answer is: Yes, I am open to doing them, but I can't make any guarentees that I'll be able to.But really, give it a shot. I have access to more footage than I even own.
Special KPosted on 08/15/03 at 06:50:31

Ok, I will give you two. An easy one and a little tough one.

Kayo Noumi (Wrestled since 1995) and Takako Inoue.

I will give a Puroresu wrestler.

Misawa from Noah.

Lyyn, Hart, and Jericho are all available on the wrestler export page at www.tnm7.com. It's a pretty cool site; you should check it out some time.
LionsaultPosted on 08/18/03 at 06:49:23

Well, I obviously, though not to you, meant how they wrestled in Japan, which is/was QUITE different than in the US.
leftsaidfredPosted on 08/18/03 at 06:59:53

Yeah, I was joking. Ease up, man.

Lynn was in new Japan for so little under the JL mask,
so thus, I wouldn't have enough footage really to do him.

A Jericho one I should be able to do at some point.

Owen Hart - eh, that's kinda on the fence. I'd have to go back and see how much footage I have of him from his time in New Japan.

Jimmy Yang - as soon as I get some new All Japan footage, I am planning on doing him anyway.

Wild Pegasus - That shouldn't be a problem either right now.

On that note, I should give the current status of the project. The first pack will include:

-Satoshi Kojima (AJPW)
-Keiji Muto (AJPW)
-Yuji Nagata (NJPW)
-Shiryu (Kaz Hayashi, ~'96 Version)
-Wild Pegasus (Chris Benoit, ~'94 Version)

I will probably get one more guy in this pack and then release it.

I will be getting plenty of footage soon, so you can expect plenty of lesser-known guys coming soon - including many participants of the NOAH's Differ Cup and New Japan's Young Lions.

Any updates on the wrestlers that I listed???
Dameyon_MoorePosted on 09/16/03 at 08:37:53

How about The Bloody/The Bloody Phoenix?  Can't find an export of her anywhere.
