Oliver, I have noticed that there has been a recent influx of users signing up to post on these boards.  Though obviously not everyone who signs up posts, some of the screennames look suspect to me as to their legitimacy.  Nothing has come of it, but I think it's worth mentioning after the flooding problem we had a few weeks ago.

I think it is spambots trying to get emails to send email to, at least the members with public email addresses.

Be like John C. Dvorak and never get any spam... or any other email for that matter. ;)

Ryan, if you click on the "members" link at the top of any page here, the "generic" members list is sorted by order that posters joined the forums.  And as you have pointed out, most of the newest sign-ups are from highly suspect usernames.

That's where I got my suspicions from.  That, and in the past month we seem to have a high percentage increase in new people registering.  They haven't started posting or anything, but it makes you wonder.

Maybe I should send "pornnnn" a private message.  Sounds like a good chap.

Good idea Ryan.  Perchance I cound find a lady friend in SexyRussianGirl or SexAngel777, which is 111 times better than SexAngel666, who turned out to be quite the disapointment.  :'(

actually, you should ask them for their predictions on SummerSlam... and if they reply with Ron Jeremy over Jenna Jameson, then you know you've got yourself a true spammer.

What about the audi.info guy? Seems quite odd to use a website as your nick..  :)
rey619Posted on 08/16/06 at 00:19:45

Or our newest member... datingservices2
americamamushiPosted on 08/16/06 at 00:57:12

Damn it Rey! I will not have you talking ill about datingservice2! :)
PulsarPosted on 08/16/06 at 02:52:36

Rey and datingservices had a long history...full of blood, guts, and even a crucifixion...but I degress.
rey619Posted on 08/16/06 at 07:55:16

Hey, pulsar, I thought we agreed to put a lid on that? Damn it, stabbed in the back by my tag-team partner. I demand a steel cage match!

I personally like buy_Imitrex_online and comprar-viagra-espana. They aren't trying to blatant or anything.
Rick GarrardPosted on 08/30/06 at 04:30:42

shouldn't they be banned for hyping a licensed product in their username?  It would be like coming here and claiming to be WWEVince or something.
