Max Roster Size?

TheWavePosted on 08/16/06 at 23:50:28

Can't find the answer to this elsewhere:

When in standard circuit mode (that is, not email mode, have to hire wrestlers to contracts), is there an absolute max number of wrestlers that can be hired?

Obviously, the more you hire, the more likely the next guy will turn you down.  But is there some number where, once you hit that roster size, you absolutely cannot hire another wrestler until someone else leaves?

On a related note, does anyone know what all the factors or variables are that determine whether a wrestler agrees to a contract or not, besides current roster size?  Don't need to know exactly how it works, just curious what the actual factors or variables are.

Thanks!

As far as I know, there are no real limits, but as you said, the more you have hired, it'll be that much harder to hire someone else.

You could always use TweakCirc to get the people who don't wanna work for you... if you don't mind 'cheating' a little, that is. In the same vien, you can always switch over to e-mail mode, hire everyone you want, then switch back to contract mode. People will still quit randomly, however.

As far as factors, I think the more Main Eventers you have, the less likely one will join, for the simple fact they want to all be top dog.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Couple follow-up points/questions:

1. I know there are ways to cheat a little and add more wrestlers than seem to be agreeing to contracts, but I wanted to at least make a circuit as big as I could without resorting to that, and do it within the TNM hiring boundaries.

2. What is the largest circuit (in total number of wrestlers) that anyone here has had or seen?

Thanks again!

Another cheat you can do is do a Mystery Opponent match and only select the _one_ guy that won't sign with you (instead of highlighting everybody, just highlight that guy)- because of the Mystery Opponent stipulation, he'll have a short contract with you.

As far as large rosters, my "main" E-Fed circuit (which uses contracts) has about 100 guys, but I have had to "cheat" to get specific folks I wanted in, though. It seems to get ugly around 45 guys- lots of turn downs start coming in. I have a smaller mostly legal circuit that has about that many.

I know your question was more about "legal" circuits, so I'm curious as to the answer, too. I'd love to hear some numbers on this...
