Jake "the Snake" Roberts used all his devious tactics (as well as plenty of help from the likes of Mr Fuji, The Undertaker and the Powers of Pain) to win the 1992 Royal Rumble and guarantee himself a title shot at Wrestlemania.

The man Roberts will face at WM1 will be the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who managed to defeat World Heavyweight Champion Sting in just under 4 minutes to win the title.  Needless to say with Flair involved it wasn't done entirely within the rules, but he is the champion and that is that.  It will be an interesting match at WM1 between 2 renowned rulebreakers and after the way Roberts dumped Windham from the ring to win the Rumble, there is plenty of bad blood between the Horsemen and Fuji's stable!

Earlier in the night, all the other current UCW titleholders managed to retain their titles, in entertaining matches.  The next Clash of the Champions event may well feature some No.1 contenders matches, for those titles.

What a night of action and controversy in the UCW!!!

The Steiners earned the right to face The Rockers at Wrestlemania with a hard fought victory in a specially arranged Battle Royal to determine the No.1 contenders.

The next match of the card was a Four Corners match to decide who will face Ronnie Garvin for the Television Title at WM 1.  A fantastic match was only spoilt by a very dubious finish when referee Danny Davis disqualified Bret Hart, giving the victory (and title shot) to Irwin R.Schyster.

Next up, Bob Backlund has a win in the record books but he paid a heavy price as he was brutally attacked by The Undertaker before, during and after their match.

Sgt Slaughter will face Stan Hansen for the UCW InterContinental Title after gaining all 3 pinfall victories in the Four Corners No.1 contenders match against Randy Savage, Rick Rude and Bam Bam Bigelow.  The other talking point in this match was the animosity building between Savage and Rude which will lead to a match between the two being signed for Wrestlemania!

In a special grudge match following the Royal Rumble, Jake Roberts met Barry Windham in the squared circle.  However, these men were soon joined by the likes of The Undertaker, The Powers of Pain and the other Horsemen as it resembled more of a lumberjack match than a standard wrestling encounter.  Roberts managed to gain the upper hand, but that was just the signal for an 8 man brawl in the ring!!

The fallout from that match was felt in the main event of the night, as Sting managed to regain the UCW World Heavyweight Title at the first time of asking in a best of 3 falls match against Ric Flair.  The victory was tainted however, as The Undertaker interfered throughout, costing Flair the match.  Neither Flair nor Sting were happy with this outcome, but Sting is the champion again, and Flair can do nothing about that for now.

We have a new UCW Champion !!! Jake "the Snake" Roberts has won his first world title, thanks to some very devious tactics he employed throughout his match with Sting. At the end of the match Roberts gathered together Mr Fuji, The Undertaker and The Powers of Pain and announced this was the dawn of a new era in wrestling - the era of the Ministry of Evil who will take over the UCW one step at a time, and there was nothing anyone could do about it, especially the likes of Sting, Ric Flair and the rest of the Horsemen. An eerie silence crept over the arena, only to be broken by the appearance of the Horsemen, followed by Sting, Randy Savage and The Steiners. The pay per view ended with all these men staring intently at each other. What will happen next.....

Stan Hansen and Ronnie Garvin both looked very impressive again as they defeated tough challengers to their InterContinental and Television titles respectively.

We do have new World Tag Team Champions though as The Steiners managed to unseat The Rockers in a very entertaining encounter. The Rockers have already invoked their rematch clause as former champions and that match has been signed for the next Clash in April.

The first Superbrawl began with the final 4 qualifying matches for the King of the Ring tournament as Barry Windham, Arn Anderson, Bam Bam Bigelow and I.R.S. progressed.

What followed was an incredible 4 corners tag team match to determine the No.1 contenders to The Steiners titles.  The match lasted nearly an hour and it was an incredible performance from all 8 men involved, but eventually it was The Powers of Pain who prevailed, to earn them a title shot at the next pay per view, King of the Ring.

Bret Hart won his first UCW singles title, defeating Ronnie Garvin in a classic technical wrestling encounter.

Stan Hansen once again saw off Sgt Slaughter when Slaughter's frustration got the better of him and he was DQ'ed.

The Undertaker seems to have Ric Flair's number at the moment, but you can never count out the Nature Boy.  The strangest sight of the night though, was to hears cheers for The Undertaker, despite him being a member of the reviled Ministry.

In the main event, The Ministry and The Horsemen got involved and in the confusion, Jake Roberts rolled back into the ring (while Rude was distracted by The Warlord), to retain his title.

What a night for the Ministry of Evil!!!!  Not only did Jake Roberts overcome the odds to defeat both Sting and Ric Flair in the main event, but The Undertaker defeated longtime champion Stan Hansen (and Rick Rude) in a triangle match to win the UCW InterContinental Title and The Powers of Pain managed to dislodge The Steiners to win the UCW World Tag Team Titles.  The Ministry now controls every title except the UCW Television Title (which was not up for grabs tonight due to Bret Hart's participation in the King of the Ring tournament).

Add to that the addition of a new member of the ministry, the bizarre voodoo man Papa Shango, and it was no wonder Jake Roberts and Mr Fuji were smiling at the end of the night.

Another man has entered the fray however.  By winning the KotR tourney, Randy Savage has earned a title shot at Roberts at SummerSlam.  It will be interesting to see if the Macho Man can deliver after he overcame 3 very tough opponents to deservedly win the crown.

In other news, following his brutal post match beating at the hands of Papa Shango, Ronnie Garvin will be missing from UCW rings for the forseeable future and Stan Hansen (following his title defeat), has been given permission to return the Japan, no doubt we will see both men at some time in the future, but for now we can only thank these two original titleholders for their contribution to the UCW.

LATE BREAKING NEWS...........

UCW President Harley Race has announced that the main event of The Great American Bash in July will see Sting and The Four Horsemen face all current members of The Ministry of Evil in WarGames!!!!!!!!

From the first match to the last, this was possibly the best pay per view event of the year so far!!!!

In an entertaining tag team encounter, The Steiners were once again too good for The Rockers.  Rumours are circulating that Shawn Michaels in particular, has had enough of tag team wrestling, we shall see what the future brings for the former champions.

Nikita Koloff made a stunning debut in UCW defeating Tito Santana in just 19 seconds!!!

Koloff made his prescence felt again later in the night, attacking Sgt Slaughter during his match, and causing the former drill sergeant to lose to Bam Bam Bigelow, via countout.

Demolition and The British Bulldogs faced off in possibly the best tag team match of the year so far, and after more than 30 minutes of intense action, it was Demolition who prevailed, meaning they will face the Powers of Pain for the UCW World Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam!

In the best match of the night, Bret Hart just about managed to defeat Bob Backlund, in a best of 3 falls encounter for the Television Title.  After the match, both men shook hands in a show of class from Backlund in particular.

The main event was a brutal affair in which all 10 men put their careers on the line, battling in the War Games arena.  It was the Ministry of Evil who prevailed however, thanks mainly to The Undertaker, who was still receiving a mixture of boos and cheers from the sellout crowd.

What will The Undertaker make of the fact he seems to be growing more popular with the UCW fans, and what will Jake Roberts, Mr Fuji and the rest of The Ministry feel about the situation.

See you at  SummerSlam!!!

The UCW has a new World Champion.  Randy Savage overcame the odds (as well as most of the Ministry of Evil) to defeat Jake Roberts and win the title.  Unfortunately, his celebrations were cut short as The Ministry attacked again leaving Savage lying in the ring.

In a strange match The Undertaker retained his InterContinental Title after he was intentionally disqualified against Rick Rude for using a blatant choke hold and refusing to let go!!

The Powers of Pain were also disqualified in their title defence against Demolition, this time due to Mr Fuji's use of the cane on Ax.

One title that did change hands however was the UCW Television Title.  Arn Anderson defeated Bret Hart to win the title for the first time.

Finally, Sgt Slaughter managed to defeat Nikita Koloff, but this is by no means the end of the situation between these two men, who absolutely hate other.

UCW President Harley Race announced that there will be at least two new faces making their debuts in UCW in the very near future, to freshen up the roster.

Randy Savage retained his title but had to dig deep to see of Jake Roberts, while Bret Hart managed to regain the Television Title from Arn Anderson.

Earlier in the night Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, gave away some of his fortune to an appreciative audience before defeating Freebird Michael Hayes on his debut, after he was attacked from nowhere by taxman Irwin R. Schyster.  Perhaps IRS feels The Million Dollar Man owes him some cash?

There are bound to be some rematches at Halloween Havoc following some of the "non matches" tonight but before that, a large chunk of the UCW roster are heading east for a special pay per view event at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

Earlier in the night, The Powers of Pain held onto their tag team titles with another cheap DQ loss.  However, at the next Clash, it will be no DQ and no countout.  Can The Barbarian and The Warlord see off Demolition.

Finally, in the first match of the night, Jeff Jarrett made his UCW debut.  With Jimmy Hart in his corner Jarrett, was very impressive in defeating veteran Tito Santana.

An epic, classic main event, in which all four competitors can be proud of themselves, saw Ric Flair outlast his opponents to claim the prized No.1 contenders spot and a shot at the UCW title at Starcade in December!!

Finally, Demolition managed to defeat The Powers of Pain to win the UCW World Tag Team Titles!!!  Without any rules or stipulations to assist them, Barbarian and Warlord were powerless to stop Ax and Smash!!

Their first challenge could well come from Steve Williams and Terry Gordy, who may have finally managed to overcome The British Bulldogs in their long running feud.

The Ministry of Evil put the voodoo man Papa Shango in his path but, cheered on by his fans, The Undertaker won his first match since being unceremoniously deserted by his former allies.  Jake Roberts - beware!!

In his final singles match in the UCW, Tito Santana defeated Irwin R. Schyster in an excellent technical match.  After a mixed run in the UCW, it will be sad to see Santana leave, but he will be around for the next pay per view, The Survivor Series 1992 which will feature four 4 man team elimination matches.

Who will survive??
