The camera pans the crowd as the announce team welcomes all the fans in attendence & viewers at home.
Man #1: Ladies & gentlemen, welcome to the debut of Impact Pro Wrestling's Eruption. My name is Kevin Kelly & with me at ringside is my broadcast partner; former NWA World Champion, United States Champion, & multi-time Tag Team Champion: Barry Windham.
BW: That's right Kevin & I have got to tell you how excted I am to be here at the birth of what is sure to be the hottest new promotion in wrestling.
KK: And to top it all off tonight, Barry, we will crown the first ever IPW World Heavyweight Champion when every man on the roster competes in an over the top rope Championship Rumble.
BW: Who knows who will walk out of here tonight as the first ever IPW Champion? It could even be one of the men in our opening match tonight, so let's go to the ring for the introductions.

Maven pinned Curt Hawkins with the Leaping Double Knee Backbreaker in 0:09:27.
Rating: ** 1/4

Backstage interviewer: Lizzy Valentine is with the winner of the opening match, Maven.
LV: Maven, you made your return to the ring, and walked out with a big win.
M: That's right Lizzy, I'm back and I'm going to go straight to the top here in IPW. (Another man steps into frame with a similar look to Maven.) Who are you?
Man: Don't act like you don't know. I'm Scorpio Sky, the only man here that has enough talent to win the IPW Title tonight. Now why don't you step back & watch how a true superstar goes out there & performs. (Sky walks away, leaving Maven looking upset.)

Scorpio Sky pinned Ryan McBride with the Top Of The Class in 0:11:28.
Rating: * 3/4

The live crowd was unsure how to react to Sky's victory since neither of the men were that well known. The camera cuts away from his victory celebration & goes back to the interview area where Lizzy Valentine is with her special guest.
LV: Ladies & gentlemen, my guest at this time: Kurt Angle. (Angle steps into frame.) Kurt you are just one of the men entered in tonight's main event to determine the first ever IPW Champion.
KA: You know it's got to be obvious just who is the best man to win the title. He's got to be a winner, preferably have a few on his resume already that way management knows they can rely on him to propel their company into the future. In short, a man like me. I'm not trying to sound conceited, but, the facts speak for themselves. I'm an Olympic gold medalist, a former King of the Ring, European Champion, Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, Hardcore Champion, Tag Team Champion, X-Division Champion, and, oh yeah, 10 time World Heavyweight Champion. Everyone in this building knows that I'm the best that this business has ever seen. Oh it's real, and it's damn true.
The camera cuts away & back to the ring announcer who is just about to introduce the particpants for the next match.

The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated Team Macktion (Kirby Mack and TJ Mack) when A. Douglas pinned Krazy K with the Natural Selection in 0:15:02.
Rating: ** 3/4

After the break, Kevin Kelly & Barry Windham announce that next week will begin the first round of a tournament to crown the IPW National Champion.
Lizzy Valentine is backstage awaiting her next interview as Samoa Joe walks by her. She tries to get his attention, but, he ignores her & keeps walking. She stops following him and looks dejected, until Ted Dibiase walks up to her.
TD: Well, well, well, it looks like someone is about to score the biggest interview of her career.
LV: What? What do you mean?
TD: Well Lizzy, it should be obvious that you're talking to the soon to be first IPW Champion.
LV: But, Ted, you have to go into the Rumble & win. Wait... Does that mean you're # 30?
TD: Well, that's a secret, but, it won't matter what number I enter. Because with my money, I can guarentee that I'll be the last man standing. It's just like my dad always said "Everybody's got a price." And on top of all that money, I have all this talent. Is there really a doubt about me walking away with even more gold that just this "Million Dollar" title in my possession? I heard Kurt Angle talking about all his accomplishments, and I can't argue with his history, but, that's all he has... history. It's time for the new generation to take control. I have the look, the talent, the genetics all to become a champion. And I have the most important thing of all to take me to the top... the money.

ERUPTION
MAY 8, 2010

The opening video plays & immediately after, Kevin Kelly & Barry Windham welcome the viewers to tonight's broadcast.
KK: Ladies & gentlemen, welcome to tonight's broadcast of IPW Eruption. I'm you're host Kevin Kelly & with me as usual is my broadcast partner: Barry Windham. Barry, tonight we will see 16 men paired up in 8 first round matches of the IPW National Title tournament.
BW: Not only that Kevin, but, tongiht Jeff Hardy will be presented with the IPW World Heavyweight Title in what is sure to be a wild celebration.
Just then, Hardy's music plays as the new IPW Champion comes to the ring to the cheers of the fans. By the tie he gets into the ring, Barry Windham is standing in the center of the ring, holding a briefcase. Windham congradualtes Hardy and hands him the briefcase. Hardy opes it & pulls out the IPW Title belt. He then climbs each corner showing it off to the fans> Windham hands Hardy the microphone, bu, before he can speak, Chris Jericho's music plays as he makes his way to the ring carrying a microphone of his own. Once he steps through the ropes, Jericho speaks.
CJ: Before this celebration gets too raucous, I just wanted to be the first to congratulate you on such a great accomplishment. I mean, you entered at #27 and last a whole 11 minutes, eliminating 3 men to win the biggest prize this company has to offer. And just in case you can't understand the sarcasm in my voice, let me explain just how dismal your performance was by comparison. I entered at #10 and lasted over 26 minutes. I single-handedly eliminated 5 men before the exhaustion of my efforts had gotten to me & I was attacked from behind, only to be disposed of from the ring. But, if you still don't understand, Jeffery, I'll make it even simpler for you. You don't deserve to be a champion, like I do. So how about you put your money where your moth is and put that title on the line against me tonight.
JH: Well, Chris, you did put up an impressive performance last week, but, like always, you came up short. But if you want to try & take this title from me, I say that tonight is as good a time as any.
CJ: You know Jeff, a lot of people say that you make bad choices, but, I can safely say that this is the worst decision you have ever made.
Jericho starts to walk off, but, quickly turns around in an attempt to catch Hardy from behind. Hardy senses the pending attack & hits Jericho with a kick to the mid-section. The champion then hits the Twist of Fate on Jericho, dropping him hard to the mat. The crowd cheered as Hardy left the ring with the title belt held high.

The camera cuts backstage to Lizzy Valentine who is with Tyler Hilton.
LV: Tyler Hilton, tonight you open up the first round of the National Title Tournament against Frankie Kazarian, a man that has held championships all over the country.
TH: Hey, I've held titles on the independent scene myself. I'm in the best shape of my life and ready to take my place at the top of the wrestling world. So 15 other guys are going to be disappointed when I walk away with the gold.

Frankie Kazarian pinned Tyler Hilton with the Wave of the Future in 0:07:53.

Shawn Stasiak pinned Ryan McBride with the Hangman Neckbreaker in 0:12:10.

Before the match can start, Ted DiBiase gets the microphone & offers his opponent, Gregory Helms, a bribe if he either lays down to get pinned, or simply walks away & gets counted out. Helms thinks about the offer momentarily and then dropkicks DiBiase, sending him crashing to the mat.

LV: Maven that's 2 big victories for you in 2 weeks.
M: (breathing heavily) That's right LIzzy. I'm back & better than ever. Soon enough I'll be a champion...(Scorpio Sky comes out)
SS: I don't know why you're wasting you time on this guy. He obviously doesn't have 1/2 the talent that I do. And when I win the National Title, don't bother asking for a shot.
Sky walks down to the ring for the next match.

John Morrison pinned Scorpio Sky with the Starship Pain in 0:07:05.
Rating: *** 1/2

Mr. Kennedy makes his way to the ring for his 1st round matchup. He gets into the ring & does his signature pose for the microphone to be lowered into his hand. Once in his grip, he gives his own introduction.
MK: Ladies & Gentlemen, the man that stands before you weighs in tonight at a trim, fit 238 pounds. He hails from Green Bay, Wisconsin. And he is going to become the IPW National Heavyweight Champion... mmmmmmMMMMISTERRRRRR KENNEDYYYYYYY! (He mounts the second corner and speaks into the mic just above the whisper.) Kennedy.

MAY 15, 2010

After the opening video, Kevin Kelly & Barry Windham welcome everyone to tonight's show as the camera pans over the crowd.
KK: Welcome everyone again to another exciting edition of IPW Erupion. This is Kevin Kelly alnog with my broadcast partner Barry Windham & have we got a show for you tonight.
BW: That's right Kevin. Tonight we will be bringing you not only the second round of the IPW National Title Tournament, but, the 1st round of the IPW World Tag Team Title Tournament.
KK: All that plus more as we head up to the ring for our first contest.

IPW National Title Tournament Round 2:
Shawn Stasiak pinned Maven with the Hangman Neckbreaker in 0:15:15.
Rating: **

As soon as Stasiak finished celebrating and left the ring, the music of the new IPW World Champion: Chris Jericho played as he made his way to the ring.
CJ: It should be aparent to you all by now that I was destined to wear this title. My history speaks for itself: 4 time tag team champion, 8 time Intercontinental Champion, and 6 time... I mean now 7 time World Champion. Jeff Hardy was simply not ready to hold this title. Jeff Hardy was simply out classed, out wrestled, and out done by myself. It's unfortunate that you hypicritical, petulant tapeworms cannot see that I am the best not only in this company, but, in the entire world of professional wrestling. I am better than anyone in that locker room. Jeff Hardy didn't deserve to win this title, and I proved to the entire world that I am the rightful champion. Jeff Hardy can't hold a candle to me in the ring. Jeff Hardy...
Suddenly Jeff Hardy's music plays & the former champion steps out form the back & joins Jericho in the ring.
JH: Well Chris, since you had to pull every trick in the book to take that title from me last week, how about you put your money where your mouth is one more time? And in case you don't get what I'm sayin'... I want my rematch TONIGHT!
CJ: Jeffery, you don't get it do you? You're not in my league. I have the title now & you're back at the bottom where you belong. I don't need to gve you a rematch. You haven't earned it.
JH: I think I get what you're saying Chris. It sounds to me like you're scared to face me again.
CJ: That's funny. You trying to use reverse psychology on me. But Jeff it won't work. It won't work because I'm too smart to fall for it. I will give you an "A" for effort however. As a matter of fact, I'll even give you a reward for being so brazen as to attempt to outsmart me. You can have your rematch tonight, but, when I win don't expect another. (Jericho drops the mic exits the ring.)
JH: One chance is all I need Chris. That title is coming home with me.

IPW World Tag Team Title Tournament Round 1:
BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) defeated Curt Hawkins and Scorpio Sky when Ruckus pinned C. Hawkins with the Hate Crime in 0:12:06.
Rating: ****

Lizzy Valentine is backstage with "The Universal Soldier" Phill Shatter.
LV: Phill Shatter, last week you got past hardcore original Axl Rotten when you laid him out with a powerbomb on the concrete. Now you're going from a hardcore expert to a submission expert tonight when you face Josh Daniels.
PS: It doesn't matter what style my opponent is best at, I can & will adjust my offense to beat them. That's why I am the "Universal Soldier" because, I am the only man able to do those things. That's why I will be unstoppable on my way to the National Title. Nobody is gonna stand in my way. After tonight, it'll be 2 down 2 to go before I get my hands on the gold.

IPW National Title Tournament Round 2:
Phill Shatter pinned Josh Daniels with the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in 0:09:33.
Rating: ** 1/4

As Shatter celebrates while leaving the ring, the camera cuts backstage to catch Axl Rotten & Rhino going over their gameplan as Kevin Kelly lets everyone know that they will face The Naturals after the break.

IPW World Tag Team Title Tournament Round 1:
The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated Axl Rotten and Rhino when C. Stevens pinned Rhino after the Natural Disaster in 0:13:00.
Rating: *** 1/4

Before the next match can start, Ted DiBiase takes the microphone.
TD: I'm going to make you the same offer I made that ingrate Gregory Helms last week. I have a briefcase full of money for you John Morrison and all you have to do is leave the ring and get counted out so I can continue on my way to the National Title.
Barry Windham is heard in a voice over.
BW: I can't believe the gaul of DiBiase, trying to buy off opponents. His father did it 20 years ago, but, this is a new era. How far does he think his money will take him?
John Morrison reaches for the briefcase as Windham speaks, but, instead of taking it, he punches DiBiase in the jaw. The referee calls for the bell to start the match.

IPW National Title Tournament Round 2:
John Morrison pinned Ted DiBiase with the Starship Pain in 0:13:06.
Rating: ** 3/4

After the bell, DiBiase recovers as Morrision celebrates. DiBiase grabs his Million Dollar Belt & hits Morrison in the back dropping the self professed rock star hard. Officials rush to the ring to keep the assault from going too far. As they break things up, the camera cuts to the back where Lizzy Valentine is with Team Macktion.
LV: Kirby & TJ Mack, Team Macktion, you guys are up next in the first round of IPW World Tag Team Title Tournament against a team without alot of experience together: Matt Bentley & Joey Matthews.
KM: Well, both men have been tag team champions in the past, so we're not going into this taking things lightly.
TM: But we are going into this looking to become the IPW Tag Team Champions. Say what you want, we're too young. We're too small.
KM: We're the best team in the business. My brother & I are going straight to the top on a rocketship made of gold... tag team gold.

IPW World Tag Team Title Tournament Round 1:
Team Macktion (Kirby Mack and TJ Mack) defeated Matt Bentley and Joey Matthews when Krazy K pinned M. Bentley after the Death From Above in 0:06:00.
Rating: ** 3/4

Lizzy Valentine is backstage with Frankie Kazarian.
LV: Kaz, up next you are going one on one with "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe.
FK: Well you know that Joe & I have alot of history. We both got our start out in California. We used to ride together on the road. We trained together, ate together, been on TV shows together. And now, here we are in IPW together about to go at it one more time for the right to move on in a tournament for the IPW National Title. All I can say is that the only thing that would make this better would be if this was the finals for the gold. There is no one I would rather face & help blow the roof off this place. It's just too bad that only 1 of us can win. Too bad for Joe,that man is me.

IPW National Title Tournament Round 2:
Frankie Kazarian defeated Samoa Joe by countout in 0:03:05.
Rating: * 1/4
[Mr. Kennedy interfered against Samoa Joe.]

After the match, Kennedy & Joe keep fighting up the aisle as Kazarian celebrates half-heartedly in the ring. Officials try to seperate Kennedy & Joe, but, it takes men from the locker room to actually pull them apart & keep them that way.

Footage is shown from last week of Frankie Kazarian advancing in the IPW National Title tournament thanks to Mr. Kennedy jumping Samoa Joe forcing him to be counted out. Lizzy Valentine is backstage with Kazarian.
LV: Kaz, last week, you didn't get the epic battle with Samoa Joe that you thought.
FK: You know Liz, it wasn't just me that got cheated out of a great match last week. The fans lost out on seeing 2 of the best going at it too. All I can say, is that my prediction did come true though, I did win the match & advance to the semi-finals. That means 2 more wins & I'm the National Champion. Tonight is just another toward the future, (points at himself) and "The Future" looks good.

IPW National Title Tournament Semi-final Round:
Phill Shatter pinned Frankie Kazarian with the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in 0:16:25.
Rating: ** 1/4

Shatter celebrates in the ring over the fallen Kazarian as the crowd boos. The camra quickly cuts to the back where we see Samoa Joe & Mr. Kennedy brawling. Officials try to pull them apart, but, aren't having much success. Finally, an unnamed member of IPW management comes up as Joe & Kennedy get pulled apart. He tells them that if they want to fight so bad, tongiht they can do it in the ring. Kennedy backs down & smiles, telling Joe that he'll be happy to make Joe look foolish again this week. Joe looks him in the eye as officials continue to restrain him, then growls out that he will make Kennedy pay dearly for last week as we go to break.

IPW World Champion: Chris Jerico comes to the ring as we come back from the break. Jericho is carrying theIPW Title belt over his shoulder & is dressed in a black silk suit. He calls for the ring announcer's microphone as soon as he steps into the ring so he can address the jeering crowd.
CJ: I told you all that Jeff Hardy was an unworthy champion, an unworthy opponent, and just an all around unworthy competitor. And I was right. Now while some may call the match from last week one of the best in recent memory, to Chris Jericho, it was just another night. It should be obvious to all you gelatinous, parasidic drones that there is no one that can compete at my level. My record speaks for itself. Seven World titles, 4 Tag Team Titles, 9 Intercontinental titles, European & Hardcore Championships, lasting longer & eliminating more men tan anyone in the Championship Rumble 3 weeks ago. I am Chris Jericho, the greatest wrestler this sport has ever known...
Just then trumpets blast fanfare thoughout the arena as Kurt Angle steps out from the back to the cheers of the fans. Angle steps into the ring, holdinghis own microphone.
KA: Now Chris, I heard what you had to say and it's painfully obvious that you forgot you aren't the only great wrestler on the IPW roster. You want to flaunt your resume, well I have afew accomplishments of my own to list: 13 time World Champion, 2 World Tag Team Titles, Intercontinental, Eurpoean, & Hardcore titles, King of The Ring, 2 time King of The Mountain, and, oh yeah, Olympic Gold Medalist. And there is one more thing, in the Championship Rumble, I was the one that threw you out. Oh it's true and it's real.
CJ: Kurt, you and I have done this all before. You beat me, I beat you, we go back & forth afew more times, but, when it's all said & done; I'm the one that leaves as champion.
KA: Well Chris, you do have a point. I mean, we have gone through this quite afew times. And you have taken me to my limits. Maybe we would be better off just shaking hands & being allies.
Kurt extends his hand as the crowd reaction starts to sour. Jericho gives a half smile as he takes Angle's hand & they shake.
KA: Or I could just kick your ass right now.
Kurt pulls Jericho in  delivers the Angle Slam. Angle then takes off his suit jacket & locks the World Champion in the Ankle Lock as the crowd erupts. Jericho taps & yells in pain as officials rush the ring to pull Angle off. Angle exits the ring as Jericho crawls over to the World Title belt & clutches it to his chest in fear that his reign may be shorter than he expects.

IPW World Tag Team Title Tournament Semi-final Round:

ERUPTION
MAY 29, 2010

The show opens with footage from last week of the confrontation between IPW World Champion: Chris Jericho & Kurt Angle. Kevin Kelly & Barry Windham are quick to welcome the viewers to tonight's broadcast as soon as the opening video fades.
KK: Welcome ladies & gentlemen to Eruption. I am Kevin Kelly & with me as always is my broadcast partner, the legnedary Barry Windham.
BW: That's right Kev, and tonight we are coming to you live from The Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan. And tonight Kevin, 2 new champions will be crowned.
KK: Thats right Barry. New IPW World Tag Team Champions will be crowned later tonight when Joey Matthews & Matt Bentley face Kirby & TJ Mack. But up first it will be either John Morrison or "The Universal Soldier" Phil Shatter that walks out tonight as the IPW National Champion.
BW: Well then let's head up to the ring & find out just who it will be.
The ring announcer introduces John Morrison first. Morrison comes out to the cheers of the fans & waits in the ring for his opponent. The ring announcer introduces Phill Shatter who steps out from the back & stops at the top of the aisle. Just then Ted DiBiase's music plays as he steps out carrying a silver metal briefcase. DiBiase hands the briefcase to Shatter & then walks to the ring. DiBiase steps through the ropes & takes the ring announcer's microphone.
TD: I told you all that I would do whatever it takes to become the National Champion. Week after week in this tournament, I kindly & generously offered a large sum to potential opponents so that I could advance. Foolishly, each man declined and I was forced to teach them a lesson. And when one of them, you John Morrison, actually eliminated me from the tournament, it forced me to rethink my gameplan. So, I offered Phill Shatter twice the amount I offered you 2 weeks ago to take his place in the finals tonight. He was smart enough to accept my offer, so here I am. Unfortunately for you John, I'm not making you another offer, I'm going to beat you with my own 2 hands.
Barry Windham sat listening to DiBiase and as soon as t=he finished speaking, Windham voiced his disapproval to the viewers at home.
BW: I can't believe DiBiase just bought his way into the finals. More than that, I can't believe a former Marine like Shatter would take such a deal. DiBiase needs to be taught a lesson in respect & humility, and hopefully Morrison will be able to teach him in the most painful way possible.

Back from the break, Kevin Kelly informs everyone about tonight's main event.
KK: Coming up in tonight's main event, after what transpired last week, IPW World Champion: Chris Jericho will team up with Mr. Kennedy against "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe & his partner: Olympic Gold Medallist Kurt Angle.

Backstage, Lizzy Valentine is with IPW World Champion: Chris Jericho.
LV: Chris, last week you were confronted by Kurt Angle, who laid out a challenge to you for the IPW World Title.
CJ: That's right Lizzy. You see, Kurt Angle couldn't just wait his turn to get a shot at my title. He had to come out, interupt me, & then attack me in hopes that I would want to extract revenge. Well Kurt, our little ploy didn't work on me. I have no need for vengeance when i'm the one walking around with the gold. However, the MENSA candidates of the IPW management seem to think that Mr. Angle does deserve a match against me. So now, next week, I will have to defend my title against a man that is nothing more than a common cheap shot artist. But first, tonight, I have to face him in a tag team match. He gets to team with an out of shape bohemeth with anger issues in Samoa Joe, while I get to team with a man of true integrity. A man of honor, courage, and a man that has defeated Samoa Joe one one one in that very ring: Mr. Kennedy. (Kennedy steps into the shot.)
MK: Chris, you have nothing to worry about. I know Joe's weakness. I know Kurt's weakness. It's the same for both men: pride. neither will let the other be the one that comes out on top. They won't be able to work together as a unit. And that's where you & I will take control, and victory. Tonight, the men walking out with their hands raised will be the IPW World Champion: Chris Jericho & his partner: mmmmMMMMISTERRRRR KENNEDYYYYYY... (looks straight into the camera) Kennedy.

Rhino pinned Shawn Stasiak with the Gore in 0:14:35.
Rating: *** 1/2

Backstage, Lizzy Valentine is with "Universal Soldier" Phill Shatter.
LV: Shatter, earlier tonight you took Ted DiBiase's offer to take your place in the National Title Tournament final. Just how much was in that briefcase?
PS: Don't you worry your pretty little head about how much was in there. The reason I gave up my shot for this money is because I know that my time will come. I will get a shot at the belt eventually, so I figured "Why not make afew bucks in the process?"But that wasn't good enough for the IPW management, because now they are forcing me to compete tonight ina tag team match with Curt Hawkins as my partner. And just who are we facing? Two men that I eliminated from the National Title tournament in the second & third rounds. That being Josh Daniels & Frankie Kazarian. I already beat them each one on one, so what makes them think that teaming up will let them do any better? I'll beat them both single handedly, all Curt Hawkins has to do is stay out of my way & he can share in the victory of "The Universal Soldier".

Frankie Kazarian and Josh Daniels defeated Phill Shatter and Curt Hawkins when Kaz pinned Shatter with the Wave of the Future in 0:17:40.

JH: The future is unwritten, but, what I can tell you is that Jeff Hardy is going back to the top. I know it'll be a long, rough climb, but, make no mistake about it, I am up for the challenge. I won't rest until I regain that title & show the world that I am the best.

Backstage, Lizzy Valentine is with Kurt Angle.
LV: Kurt, tonight you get your opportunity to become the IPW Champion when you go up against Chris Jericho. But, there is just one other thing on everyone's mind: what is your relationship with Samoa Joe after what we saw last week?
KA: I haven't spoken with Joe all week. Not that I haven't called, he just wouldn't answer. So to answer your question Lizzy, I don'tknow myself just what our relationship is, or if we have one. All i know is that tonight, I've got my chance to shut Chris Jericho's mouth & take his title. I'm the best wrestler in the world and everyone knows it. You know it, I know, the fans know it, & Jericho knows it, even if he won't admit it. I will walk out tonight as the IPW World Champion, because I'm Kurt Angle, thebest anyone has every seen. Oh it's true, & it's damn real.

Footage is shown from last week of Rhino beating Shawn Stasiak. Lizzy Valentine is with "The War Machine".
LV: Rhino last week, you made impressive work out of Shawn Stasiak. Just how long until we see you back in the title hunt?
R: I'm always in the hunt. It's just that for some reason, the management where I used to work forgot just how destructive I can be. So just like Jeff Hardy last week, I made a vow to return to the top & never be overlooked again. I'm gonna plow through the competition & leave a path of bodies like no other. Sooner or later you're all gonna feel the gore. Gore! GORE!

Rhino pinned Big Vito with the Gore in 0:12:06.

Backstage, Lizzy Valentine is with John Morrison & Team Macktion.
LV: Guys, this week you're going to team up against the men that you faced in respective tournament finals.
KM: Joey Matthews & Matt Bentley got lucky last week, plain & simple. We knocked them out in the first round & if it wasn't for Johnny The Bull getting hurt, we would be the champions right now.
TM: What's worse is the had to use every dirty trick to steal what should have been ours. Bentley & Matthews need to realize that Team Macktion isn't going to rest until those belts are around our waists.
JM: And with me by their sides, they can't fail. Who knows Joey Matthews better than I do? But, Joey, you won't be my main concern. My focus is on you, Ted DiBiase. Like Team Macktion, I eliminated you, but, you just couldn't let that go. You had to buy a place in the final & then cheat to pick up a victory. Well, no amount of money is going to buy your way out of me taking the National Title.

LV: Gregory Helms, just afew weeks ago, you teamed with Tyler Hilton in the opening round of the IPW Tag Team Title tournament only to have him attack you when you failed to advance.
GH: That was my fault for trusting a low life like Tyler Hilton in the first place. I thought this would have been over after I beat him 1 on 1, but, he just couldn't let that go. Then, he got the better of me last week, so I guess you can call this the "rubber match". Now Lizzy, you know me, I'm usually a pretty happy go lucky, help out a friend kind of guy. But now, desperate times call for desperate measures. I'm gonna have to stoop to his level. It's no more Mr. Nice Guy. I'm not gonna be a role model, I'm nobody's hero anymore.

Tyler Hilton pinned Gregory Helms with the Inverted Powerbomb in 0:14:18.

KK: Ladies & gentlemen, I have been told by officials to make the following announcement. By next week, IPW management will have appointed an official spokesman that will be the man in charge here on Eruption. This man's identity has not been made known just yet, but, I can assure you that he will have the best interests of the fans as well as IPW in mind so he can make our product even better each week.
Just then, IPW National Champion: Ted DiBiase's music plays & he comes to the ring. He stands in front of Kelly, and takes the microphone.
TD: Kevin, I know that you have been told who this new figure head is going to be. So my deal is simple, (he reaches into his pocket & pulls out a large wad of bills) name your price. I'll give you whatever you want if you just whisper in my ear the name of the man that will be in charge. (Kelly rejects the offer.) I don't think you understand Kevin. I'm offering you any amount of money you want, and all I want is a name. (Kelly again refuses.) Look, I can either pay you & you tell me, or I can beat it out of you. (Kelly backs up into a corner, still refusing, but pleading with DiBiase not to hurt him.) You're not leaving me with much of a choice Kevin.
DiBiase drops the microphone, and draws back to hit Kelly. That's when Barry Windham decided he had seen enough. Windham hops up from the broadcast table & climbs into the ring. He blindsides DiBiase and hits him with a hard right hand, that sends the National Champion crashing to the mat. DiBiase is back up quickly, but, Windham grabs him & whips the champ into the ropes. As DiBiase rebounds, Windham hits him with the lariat. Windham tries to continue his assault, but, the young champion quickly rolls out of the ring & backs up the aisle holding his neck & jaw. LV: Chris, up next...
CJ: Up next I will successfully defend my World Title against Kurt Angle. And before you can ask me any other irrelevent questions, I don't know, nor do I care about whether or not Samoa Joe & Kurt Angle are getting along. I am completely focused on retaining this belt and showing the world who "the best" truly is. Angle thinks that his record should speak for itself, but, he forgets I've beaten him before, and I can do it again whenever I please. And I will do it again, tonight.

Back from the break, highlights are shown from last week of Kevin Kelly making the announcement abut IPW's new authority figure and Ted DiBiase's attempt to bride the identity out him. The video plays through Kelly's refusal & the aftermath which caused Barry Windham to come to Kelly's rescue. After the video, Kevin Kelly is in the ring ready to make an announcement.
KK: Ladies & gentlemen, please join me in welcoming Impact Pro Wrestling's new Executive Ambassador: Mister James E Cornette!
The Midnight Express' theme plays as the tennis racket weilding former manager comes to the ring to a round of cheers. Cornette shakes hands with Kelly & takes his microphone.
JC: Thank you all so much for the warm welcome. For those that know me, you know that I am a man that likes to cut to the chase & get right down to business. So, I'm not gonna ramble on about who I am or where I've been, but, I do have to explain just what my job is supposed to be. I am here to organize the chaos that has occured ver the past few weeks. And my first piece of business as Executive Ambassador is one that I do not take any pleasure in. In fact, I think that it sucks. Barry Windham, last week, you were involved in an alterication in this very ring with the IPW National Champion: Ted DiBiase. I'm sure that Kevin Kelly is very grateful to you for saving his hide, but, the fact remains that in your contract it states that you cannot be involved in any physical alterications with the in-ring talent unless personally provoked. Your actions, while selfless, were in direct violation of those terms as seen by the board of directors. Barry, you and I have been friends for over 25 years, and this is something I dont agree with, and it's something that ever since I was notified I have tried to fight. As a result of your actions last week, Barry, I have no choice but to release you from your contract & inform you that your services are no longer needed.
The crowd boos & Windham is visibly shocked & saddened by the news. Windham gets up from the announce table and heads to the back with his head down, just then, Ted DiBiase's music plays & the National Champion comes out to join Cornette in the ring.
TD: Well Jim, it looks like your first act here in IPW is the right one. For weeks, all I've heard is Barry Windham run me down, and then he finally loses his temper & attacks me. I'm glad my lawyer got my point across to the board of directors. It was money well spent. Now Jim, it's time for you to make another good choice & put me into the main event picture.
JC: You know someting Ted, I can see why Barry kicked your behind last week. You're a punk kid with no respect. If I were you, I would worry less about getting into the main event picture, and more time worrying about how I'm gonna hold onto the title in my possession. Now, I've been informed that you are unable to compete tonight due to last week's attack. So I'm going to abuse my power alittle bit & make a match for next week. Ted DiBiase, you will defend the national Title next week against a number 1 contender that will be determined in an over the top rope battle royal later tonight. (DiBiase throws a fit in the ring, but quickly calms down.)
TD: You know what Mr. Cornette, that's fine by me. I don't care who I face next week, because it won't be John Morrison. When my lawyers drew up the contract for the 6 man tag team match last week, they snuck in a clause that stated if John couldn't beat me personally in that match, I wouldn't have to defend against him again. So you hold your little battle royal, while I head for my limo, go to my penthouse suite, relax, & watch the rest of your little show in comfort. (laughs) It's good to be rich.
DiBiase exits the ring & the arena. Cornette hands the microphone back to the ring announcer & exits the ring. He then takes the seat vacated by Barry Windham to join Kevin Kelly for the rest of the night on commentary.

Having to publicly fire Barry was one of the worst things I have ever had to do. And I was involved in an angle with the Dynamic Dudes. Seriously though, to answer your question, what I have in store for IPW is alittle order & organization. For just the few weeks of operation before I got here, the inmates were running the asylum, so to speak. Well that's all about to change under my watch. And next week, I am going to do something that I did back in TNA, and address the entire roster, publicly, and set everyone straight. Things are about to change, for the better for some and for the worse for afew more.

ERUPTION
JUNE 26, 2010

After the opening video plays, the camera goes straight to the middle of the ring, where Jim Cornette stands holding a microphone in one hand & a clip board in the other.
JC: Ladies & gentlemen in the audiance, I want to thank you for time. So if I could have all the talent step out form the back & join me around the ring, we can get this thing started. (The entire roster comes out slowly & surounds the ring.) Gentlemen, I want to thank you as well for allowing me some of your time for this first public company meeting. The first thing on my agenda is to take care of what happened to open the show last week. Phill Shatter, Homicide, & Josh Daniels please step forward. (All 3 step up into the ring.) Now far be it for me to try & stop guys that want to fight from doing so in the ring. So later tonight, you 3 will face off in a triple threat match. I suggest you take this time to go prepare. Second on my list is what's going on between the IPW World Tag Team Champions & their top challengers. Joey Matthews, Matt Bentley & Team Macktion, last week you all got out of control. Well this week, we're gonna have the match that we were supposed to have last week. Joey Matthews, you & TJ Mack will face off one on one, and if TJ can pick up a win, then Team Macktion will earn a shot at the tag team title. However, if your brother interferes, then your shot is gone. (Bentley & Matthews start to laugh.) Don't get all gitty yet, you two, because if you Matt Bentley, interfere in that match, I will strip you of your championship. (Bentley & Matthews throw a fit over the news.) Now you genltmen are excused. Number 3: Chris Jericho, you have been running around for the past month or so with the IPW World Title. And while you've been defending that title, you have been using every dirty trick & every kind of intereference you can figure out. Now, I'm the kind of guy that likes to see championships won in the ring, not just handed out, so tonight in the main event, you are going to defend that title once agian against Kurt Angle. Now Kurt, I know that you can handle Mr. Jericho all on by yourself, but, since both of your respective tag team partners over the past few weeks have seen fit to get involved in the matches, I have decided that tonight's main event needs to have some special enforcers outside the ring to keep both sides in check. Those 2 enforcers are none other than Mr. Kennedy & Samoa Joe. Now guys, I know that it may seem like I'm just stacking the deck for a 4 way brawl, but, hear me out 'cause you're gonna have a stake in the outcome of the match. If Kurt Angle wins & becomes the new IPW Champion, Mr. Kennedy, you will get a shot at the title. If by some chance Chis Jericho retains the title, Samoa Joe, you get a title shot. That way, maybe, just maybe this will keep things on a level playing field. My final piece of business has to do with you: Ted DiBiase. So if you would, please join me in the ring. (DiBiase steps into the ring & stands in front of Cornette with the IPW National Title draped over his shoulder.) Two weeks ago, you & your lawyers forced me to do something that I not only didn't like, but, something I knew was morally wrong. That being firing my friend of 25 years, Barry Windham as a commentator, when all he was doing was coming to the aid of someone that couldn't defend himself. Now I have been watching your matches, and I can't deny your talent. But, I do see what alot of others are talking about; your lack of respect. And from the general concensous of the fans, they would like nothing more than to see you pounded into a puddle of goo. So, I took it upon myself to find you an opponent that will not only challenge your considerable skill, but, teach you a lesson in respect at the same time. So next week, you will defend the National Title against a man that I have just signed to the roster. (DiBiase demands to know who it is.) Now, now, Teddy, be patient. I'm not one to just let the cat out of the bag & jump the shark on my first outing. So next week, when you're in the ring ready to defend the title, you'll find out just who your opponent is. Thank you all again for your time, now let's get to what everyone came to see, some actual wrestling.
