Next Generation Wrestling

Hopefully I now have a stable TNM that won't crash after while but this one will be backed up. This circuit is based on the "What if" presented by Unright that can be located at http://www.tnm7.de/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.cgi?board=2;action=display;num=1149303715;start=15

History

The concept of Next Generation Wrestling originated shortly after the end of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) (2001). Owen Hart, Bret Hart and Jim Niedhart contemplated their futures in the business of wrestling. The World Wrestling Federation (WWF) remained the only wrestling product on U.S. national television — WWF had purchased WCW in March 2001, and Extreme Championship Wrestling had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy that same year. Bret felt that this situation led many television stations to regard wrestling as bad for business, and suggested a company that does not need television, but rather just goes straight to pay-per-view. Of the three, only Owen took the discussion seriously (the other two thought of it as talk)

Owen eventually talked Bret and Jim to buy in to the idea and later found the financial help they needed. NGW was created.

NGW #1
In the beginning
May 2nd 2002

Live from the Corral @ the Stampede Park, This is Next Generation Wrestling! It didn't take long before Jeff Jarrett came down to the ring. He told the crowd that he was the chosen one. He is the one who puts butts in seats and he will be the one who will turn this from a mom and pop back yard production to a world class organization. That is why he and he alone is the only qualified person to walk away NGW Heavyweight champion.

This brought out Bret Hart down to the ring to a huge ovation from the crowd. Bret Hart told Jarrett that this is Next Generation Wrestling. He continued by saying that the crap that went down at WCW will not happen here. He finished by saying that anyone in the back has a legitimate shot at the belt. Jarrett told Hart that may be true but only he has the stroke to make it happen.

Cool concept!

Did you book the Battle Royal? Impressive of Jarrett, especially since he, according to the What if-scenario, died as the Blue Blazer instead of Owen Hart.  ;D

Oh, and DQs due to heels pushing the referee happens way too often.. I recommend that you tweak that in TweakCirc, if you can get it to work, that is..

Nice to see a fed here among all the spam posts!
lazy duckPosted on 10/06/09 at 11:50:06

The BR was booked and I will tweek the ref thing for the future cards. For the "What if" I kinda modified it where no one died that day but it was the Harts who start up a new fed and not Jarrett. Thanks for reading...the circuit that is, not the spam:)

very interesting concept. love it! keep it comming!

NGW #2
Explosion
May 2nd 2002

Scenes from last week epic Battle Royal is shown highlighting key eliminations then the final elimination with Jarrett walking to the back clutching the NGW Heavyweight belt. We then go live into the ring with Jeff Jarrett with the belt around his waist. He tells the crowd that last week everyone witnessed greatness. He continued saying that for over an hour he battled everyone in the back and outlasted them all. He finished by saying that he was the King of the mountain the man with the stroke and there is nothing no one can do about it.

On cue, Bret Hart came down to the ring. Hart told Jarrett that the only "stroke" he has is the one does at night alone in his room. He continued by telling Jarrett that he still doesn't get it and that this is his company. He runs things here. He told Jarrett that next week they will face each other for the title. That statement brought out Ken Shamrock who made his way to the ring. He reminded both of them that there was someone else last week who lasted over an hour and that was him. He also told Hart that he may be part owner of NGW but he does not run anything. Out walked Eric Bischoff from back stage and entered the ring. Hart asked what the hell he was doing here. Bischoff told Hart that Fusient Media Ventures is the majority investor of Next Generation Wrestling and as President and CEO that made him the man that runs things. Hart was beside himself but Bischoff told him to calm down. He continued by saying that if Hart wants to face Jarrett next week for the title he will need to be victorious over Shamrock tonight. Bischoff ended by saying that he was making tonight's match between hart and Shamrock and number one contender match.

He finished by saying that it didn't matter because he was facing Jarrett next week and Shamrock was going down.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Low Ki pinned Owen Hart with the Ki Krusher in 0:18:51.

This was a great matchup with Low Ki picking up a big win. Owen didn't take the loss well as he sucker punched Ki when he offered his hand. Hart kicked Ki over and over and walked away to the boos of the crowd.

Shamrock got things going early but Hart took the advantage when Ken lost focus jawing with Jarrett. Hart locked on the Sharpshooter but was too close to the ropes. Shamrock was able to use the opening to hit a momentum changing atomic drop. Shamrock hooked the Ankle Lock and Hart had no choice but to tap. Shamrock pointed to Jarrett then to the belt. Jarrett shook his head and walked towards the back.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Card rating: *** 3/4

Match observations:

Bischoff pulls the first power play in NGW by trumping Bret Hart and paving the way for Ken Shamrock to get the first shot at Jeff Jarrett's heavyweight title.

Next week NGW will host a 4 team tournament for the NGW tag team titles. Teams will be announced soon.

Apolo becomes the first NGW Dungeon Champion but Amazing Red has demanded the first shot at the champ. Will Apolo reign be a short one? Will find out next week at NGW #3 Fallout.
rey619Posted on 10/07/09 at 12:28:21

A lot of great matches here, too bad your main event was the second worst.. (and even that was a pretty good match).

Bret/Shamrock/Jeff is a good main event program to start of with, it'll be interesting to see where you go from here.

NGW #4
Payback
May 26th 2002

In the ring NGW'S CEO Eric Bischoff was in the ring and he welcomed everyone to tonight's event. He then called out Bret Hart, Ken Shamrock and NGW Heavyweight champion Jeff Jarrett. All three made their way to the ring. Bischoff talked briefly about why he is here. He told everyone that he had no intentions of taking an active role again in wrestling. He continued that when his company was approached by the Harts it was as investors only. Since NGW #2 I have been asked to take a more involved role as CEO and majority owner of NGW.

Bret Hart interrupted Bischoff telling him that the agreement was that Bischoff handles the books and Harts run NGW. What Bischoff did at Explosion overstepped his boundaries. Bischoff smiled and then told Bret that he needed to look over the contract again. Bischoff pulls out a copy from a briefcase and starts reading. Bischoff reads a statement confirming what Hart said but continued by reading a line that said that at any time the majority Share holder (Fusient Media Ventures) may step in and take operational control if holder believes the integrity of NGW becomes into question. Bischoff puts the contract back into the briefcase and tells Hart that he is enacting that clause of their contract and assuming control of NGW.

Hart was furious and told Bischoff he couldn't do that. Bischoff told hart that his actions last week has jeopardized the integrity of the NGW Heavyweight title and doing so may cause damage to the brand which his company was a major investor in. He continued by telling Jarrett that this week he has off but in two weeks he will face the winner of Bret Hart and Ken Shamrock next week. They will compete in a ladder match for the contract to face Jarrett the following week. With that Bischoff walked out the ring as hart continued his protests.

He then talks about Bischoff and his power move last week. If Bischoff wants to play it that way that's fine by him but the Hart's have forgotten more about wrestling then Bischoff will ever know. He then turned his attention to Jarrett. He told Jarrett that once he takes care of Shamrock he will be gunning for him and the NGW belt.  His days of hiding behind Bischoff are coming to an end.
