The Assassins continue to turn away all challengers as they successfully defended the 2W World tag team titles by beating Jake Roberts and Brad Armstrong.

Hulk Hogan still has been unable to take advantage of his chances of winning the 2W World heavyweight title as Cpl. Kirchner worked the challenger to a draw.

Controversy hits 2W when Assassin #2  who is the co holder of the 2W World Tag Team titles, walked  out the arena and took the belt with him. Assassin #2 has been working the last few weeks without a contract and refused to work again until both sides came to an agreement.

To add to the situation, Dick Murdoch replaced Assassin #2 in the 2W World title match against the Horsmen and lost. Rick Flair and Tully Blanchard claim that they are the new World Champions but Management has yet to recognize the victory.

Jack Killwosky, 2W's Operations manager, stated that Assassin #2 will be fined and will forfeit his $25,000 dollar bond if the title is not returned by end of business today. Killwosky also stated that the status of who is 2W Tag Team Champions will be decided in two weeks.

Match observations:

Jack Killwoski announced that because Assassin #2 failed to return the 2W World tag team belt, the Assassins have been stripped of the titles and a four team tournament will decide the new champions.

The Horsemen Flair and Blanchard were not happy about the announcement claiming that they already won the titles last week. Roberts and Armstrong came to the ring and told the Horsemen to fight or go home. The Horsemen took the words to heart and took out Roberts and Armstrong.

Jim Brunzell came to the ring after the match and talked about respect and the lack of it. He said he was tired of being the side kick and ready to grab the brass ring and Hogan was in the way and that tonight he will step closer to getting that ring.

Greg Gagne and Tatsumi Fujinami teamed up against Dick Murdoch and Stan Hansen. Gagne was able to lock on the figure four to advance to the main event and a shot at the World titles.

Rick Martel held of Tony Anthony to retain the 2W Television title.

Hogan looked to get some revenge on Brunzell but the Great Muta came down and spit some green mist into Hogan's eyes allowing Brunzell to lock on a side headlock for the win.

Flair and Blanchard didn't wait for the bell as they attacked Gagne and Fujinami but it didn't take long for Gagne to take over control. The action goes outside the ring as the ref counted to ten.

Great Muta finally got the better of Rick Martel and wins the 2W Television title.

Mr. Olympia made his 2W debut and faced an upset Stan Hansen who feels that he has been overlooked when it comes to title opportunities. When it looked like Mr. Olympia was about to take the match, Hansen tosses the referee out the ring for the immediate disqualification.

The Horsemen made sure that Gagne and Fujinami didn't get too attached to the tag titles as they defeated the champs just one week after they won them.  Flair and Blanchard promised a long and painfull title runs.

Jim Brunzell and Hogan battled it out once last time to see who will get a shot next week at Cpl. Kirchner and the 2W World Heavyweight title. Hogan once again fell short of his task when Brunzell hit his flying cross body to pick up the win.

In a rematch from last week's 2W Television title, Rick Martel was unable to win back the title as the Great Muta was counted out when he was unable to answer the referee's 10 count.

Ken Lucas and Ron bass battled as Lucas was able to lock on the Sleeper for the win.

Stan Hanson continues to take out his frustrations on Mr. Olympia with an impressive 48 second win after hitting a devastating Lariat.

Greg Gagne and Tatsumi Fujinami wanted another sot at the World titles and may get that shot with a huge win over the Horseman. Gagne locked on the Sleeper and wouldn't let go till the referee called the match.

The main event pitted Jim Brunzell and Cpl. Kirchner in a battle for the World title. Brunzell came close many times but tonight he was able to finally get over that hump and pin Kirchner to become the new 2W World Heavyweight Champion.

Match observations:

On this week's edition of World Wrestling, Cowboy Ron Bass faced Rick Martel but was confronted by Ken Lucas. Bass took advantage of the distraction by hitting Martel with a road sign while the referee was trying to get Lucas out the ring. By the time the referee turned back to the action in the ring Martel was out and Bass picks up the pin fall.

Greg Gagne faced Tully Blanchard in singles action and from the start you knew this was going to be more of a handicap match. Flair made sure each time Gagne exited the ring he received a cheap shot of some kind. This did not stop Gagne from taking control of the match and locking on an abdominal stretch. Blanchard couldn't hold out long and submitted before Flair could get in the ring. The two men started to kick Gagne and Flair then locked on the figure four. Tatsumi Fujinami came running to the ring but the damage was done and Gagne lay in the ring in obvious pain.

Nick Bockwinkle and Hulk Hogan both claim to be the number one contender to the 2W world championship but it was Bockwinkle who got the win with the powerdriver.

The new 2W World Heavyweight champion Jim Brunzell made his first title defense facing Stan Hanson who for weeks believes he has been overlooked. Well Hanson took full advantage of his shot but Brunzell will not give up and battled to a time limit draw.

In backstage news, Former 2W Heavyweight champion Cpl. Kirchner has decided not to resign with 2W.
