9-1-09

The show opens with clips of various wrestlers on the roster set to Crooked X's "Adrenaline". After the opening video the camera pans around the arena showing all the fans, as the announce team welcomes everyone to the show.
Announcer #1: Ladies & gentlemen welcome to the debut of what is sure to be the hottest 2 hours of wrestling on television today. My name is Kevin Kelly and joining me here at ringside is none other than founding member of the Fabulous Freebirds: Michael "PS" Hayes!
MH: That's right Kevin, and just like you said tonight will be the hottest 2 hours on tv in a long time. And it will all be capped off by our main event: a 20 man Royal Rumble that will crown the first APW Heavyweight Champion.
KK: With that being said, let's head up to the ring for our first match here in APW.
"Rock Superstar" by Cypress Hill plays as Kaos is introduced by the ring announcer.

Kaos pinned Derek Frazier after a Frankensteiner in 0:03:22.
Rating: *** 1/4

Backstage interviewer, Lance Wright is with Christian Cage to talk about tonight's main event.
LW: Christian, tonight you have the chance to become the first APW Heavyweight Champion in a Royal Rumble type match. Before we went on the air tonight, everyone drew a number to determine his entry into the match. Can you tell us what number you picked?
CC: Well since you're so interested in numbers, I have a couple for you. Number 1, why would I tell anyone what number I drew & spoil the surprise? Number 2, who are you? Well, that really doesn't matter either. You see, the way I look at things is if I picked numbers 1 or 2, I'd be in the match for the longest amount of time, but, I'll still walk out as champion. If I got #20, I wouldn't have much to do at all & I'll still walk out with the belt. It's really a no-brainer. No matter when I enter the match, I'm walking out on top & as champion. So if you didn't know before, now you do. 'Cuz that's how I roll.
The camera cuts back to the ring just as the ring announcer introduces the team of Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase as they come to the ring for the next match.

The Spanish Announce Team (Joel Maximo and Jose Maximo) defeated Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes when Jose pinned DiBiase with the Maximizer in 0:11:47.

Lance Wright catches up with DiBiase & Rhodes at ringside.
LW: Guys, I'm sure this was not the way you envisioned your debut here in APW.
CR: Those 2 just got lucky tonight. We'll get our revenge soon enough. And before you know it, we'll have gold around our waists.
TD: Don't forget, we're both in the Rumble tonight for the title. And if Cody doesn't win it, I will. And the look on all these people's faces will be Priceless.

Hardcore Holly defeated C.W. Anderson by countout in 0:03:00.
Rating: *

As CW Anderson is helped away from ringside by officials, Kevin Kelly informs the viewers about what to expect on next week's show.
KK: Fans, I have just been informed that next week, we will kick off a tag team tournament to crown new APW Tag Team Champions. Eight teams will particpate in four matches, with the winners moving on the following week to compete in an elimination match to determine the first ever APW Tag Team Champions.
MH: Well Kevin, with teams like The SAT, Rhodes & DiBiase, & Lethal Consequences, not to mention all the other superstars on the roster. That tournament is bound to be out of this world. And it all happens next week on Adrenaline.
KK: Now let's get back to the ring.
Linkin Park's "Figure .09" plays as the ring announcer introduces Patrick Brink to the crowd.

Patrick Brink pinned BJ Whitmer with the Brink of Destruction in 0:14:11.
Rating: ** 1/4

Matt Striker comes to the ring & takes the ring announcer's microphone.
MS: Hello all my students. It is I, you're favorite teacher; Matt Striker. I have come here tonight to bring something back that has been missing from professional wrestling lately: wrestlers. Now, you already know that I am a great educator, but, what you may not realize is that I am also a great motivator & coach. The men that chose to follow me are not only great wrestlers, but, top scholars as well. I have assembled a team of the finest student/athletes in the world, a veritable Varsity Club, if you will. First, a former 2 time Big East Champion, from the University of Seton Hall, Charlie Haas. (Haas comes to the ring dressed in his Seton Hall singlet to some boos) Next, the man that holds the record for most career wins at Kent State University, where he was known as Nick Nemeth: Dolph Ziggler. (Ziggler comes out in his Kent State singlet to even more boos) And every great team needs a captain, so I went out and found a man that was a 2 sport athlete and a 2 time All-American, from the University of Oklahoma: "The All-American American" Jack Swagger! (Swagger joins the others in the ring wearing his Oklahoma singlet to the loudest round of boos of the group) The 4 men all shake hands & Swagger & Striker step through the ropes as the opponents for Haas & Ziggler are introduced.

The Varsity Club (Charlie Haas and Dolph Ziggler) defeated Lethal Consequences (Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed) when C. Haas defeated Lethal when Lethal passed out in the Haas Of Pain in 0:14:57. Consequences Creed suffered a back injury. He will be out for approximately 4 cards.
Rating: *** 1/4

As Creed is helped to the back by Lethal & officials, Kevin Kelly explains the rules of the main event to the fans watching at home.
KK: Tonight's main event will be for the APW Heavyweight Title and will be held under Royal Rumble format rules. Earlier tonight, the entire roster drew numbers from 1-20. The match will start with the 2 men that drew 1 & 2, and every 2 minutes after, the man that drew the next number will join them in the ring. The only way to be eliminated is to go over the top rope to the arena floor.
MH: The last man standing will walk out tonight with the gold. And it looks like our ring announcer is ready to tell everyone who drew #1 & #2. So let's go back to the ring.

9-8-09

The show opens with highlights from last week's main event & of CM Punk becoming the first APW Heavyweight Champion. After the footage, the opening theme video plays and it is soon followed by the camera panning the crowd on hand as the announce team of Kevin Kelly & Michael Hayes welcome everyone to the show.
KK: Welcome everybody to another excited broadcast of APW Adrenaline. I am Kevin Kelly & next to me once again, is Freebird Michael "PS" Hayes.
MH: That's right Kevin & we just saw highlights from last week of CM Punk winning the 1st APW Heavyweight Title and tonight will be another 1st for Punk, as he will defend the belt for the very first time against Christian Cage!
KK: That, plus, tonight we will have the opening round of the APW Tag Team Title tournament. 8 teams will compete in 4 matches with the winners moving on to next week in a 4 team elimination match for the gold.
Cypress Hill's "Rock Superstar" plays as Hayes starts to talk again.
MH: Well it looks like our first team is on their way to the ring. Let's throw it up to the ring announcer & get the action under way.

Hardcore Holly and BJ Whitmer defeated Gregory Helms and Kaos when Whitmer defeated Kaos by disqualification in 0:10:11.
Rating: ** 1/4

Kaos let frustration get the better of him, as he was unable to keep Whitmer's shoulders down for a 3 count. After one near fall, Kaos took that frustration out on the referee & tossed him out of the ring. When the ref recovered, he immediately disqualified Kaos & Helms, costing them the opportunity to move forward in the tournament.

As order is restored around ringside, Kevin Kelly & Michael Hayes inform everyone of a change to tonight's show.
KK: Ladies & gentlemen, we were informed earlier tonight that Jose & Joel Maximo, otherwise known as The Spanish Announce Team, have withdrawn from not only the Tag Team Title Tournament, but, from the APW completely.
MH: Now, since officials were informed of this early in the day, they have been on the phone trying to come up with a team to replace The SAT.
Just then, Hayes is interupted by the music of The Varsity Club as Matt Striker leads Dolph Ziggler & Charlie Haas to the ring.
MS: Yes, once again it is I, everyone's favorite teacher, Matt Striker. And tonight, I am going to instruct you all on the very important subject of quitting. You see, our scheduled opponents, The SAT, decided to quit the company in an effort to find greener pastures. That now leaves my Varsity Club without any opponents in this first round of the Tag Team Title tournament. Now, it should be an easy decision for the officials to make & just hand a first round bye to my team & automaticly advance us to the final match next week, due to our superior intelligence, superior skill, and the benefit of just alittle bit of luck.
Suddenly, a voice booms throughout the arena, "SORRY ABOUT YOUR DAMN LUCK!" The crowd erupts as 3 time TNA Tag Team Champions: "Tennessee Cowboy" James Storm & Robert Roode, also known as :Beer Money Inc. step out from the back, dressed to compete.

Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) and The Varisty Club (Charlie Haas and Dolph Ziggler) battled to a draw in 0:20:00.
Rating: ** 1/4
[Matt Striker interfered against Robert Roode.]

The time limit expired just as Storm & Roode were setting up Haas for the DWI. When they hear the bell, Beer Money drops Haas to argue with the referee for just a few more minutes. The crowd breaks in to a chant of "5 more minutes", but their calls fall on deaf ears as the referee refuses to restart the match. As Storm & Roode continue to plead their case, Haas & Ziggler attack them from behind. All 4 men brawl through the ropes & up the runway all the way to the back.

Backstage, Lance Wright is with "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal.
LW: Jay, last week, your partner Consequences Creed was sidelined for the next few weeks by a back injury. You 2 were supposed to be in the Tag Team Title Tournament tonight, how does this effect your plans?
JL: Oooooh yeah "Mean Gene", tonight, tonight I was supposed to go up against "Razor Ramon" and ""The Nature Boy", but, before that could happen, something was taken from me. But, just as I lost something last week, I come here this week with something extra. (Paul London steps into frame) So now, "Razor Ramon", tonight when you go up against me, you won't just face the multitudes of my Maniacs, but, the power of all the Warriors as well. Tonight, we combine together as the "Ultimate Maniacs" and no force on Earth can stop us. Ooooooh yeah!
Lethal walks out & London just smiles and shrugs his shoulders as he follows Lethal out.

Patrick Brink and C.W. Anderson defeated Jay Lethal and Paul London when Brink pinned P. London with the Brink of Destruction in 0:15:56.
Rating: ** 3/4

Brink & Anderson picked up a fairly easy win over the inexperienced partners London & Lethal. As they celebrate in the ring, Kevin Kelly & Michael Hayes speculate on what will happen during the match for the title next week since Beer Money & The Varsity Club fought to a draw earlier.

Backstage, Lance Wright is with the new APW Champion: CM Punk.
LW: CM Punk, first off congradulations on winning last week's 20 Man Royal Rumble & becoming the 1st ever APW Heavyweight Champion. And now later tonight, you will be competing in your first title defense against Christian Cage.
CP: Well thank you Lance, it's nice to have someone appreciate all my efforts. You see, last week when I captured this title, alot of the fans were less than reseptive to my victory. My guess is that the majority of them were so inebriated, they just couldn't help themselves from voicing their opinions. I can only hope that they all got home safely & could sleep it off. That way they may have been less inclined to talk so much the next day. That's why I think it'll be extremely gratifying to hit Christian with the Go To Sleep because, when your'e asleep you can't talk. And Christian likes to talk way too much.I plan on making him take alittle nap. When he wakes up, he'll probably start talking again, but, at least for one night I can shut him up. And for anyone else that wants a shot at this title, I will gladly give you a shot. Whether I have stitches, broken bones, I will do whatever it takes to hold onto this title.

Derek Frazier and Frankie Kazarian defeated Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes when Kazarian pinned DiBiase with the Wave of the Future in 0:13:11.
Rating: ** 3/4

Caught in a mid-ring collison, the referee went down hard near the end of the match. DiBiase & Rhodes tried their best to double team Kazarian & cheat their way to victory. But, it would be Kazarian's partner; Derek Frazier that turned the tide for his team. Frazier dropkicked Rhodes out of the ring then dove onto the 2nd generation star, taking him completely out of the match. That gave Kazarian enough time to set up DiBiase for the Wave of the Future, just as the referee regained his composure to make the 3 count.

Backstage, Lance Wright catches up with Beer Money Inc. as they leave the office of APW officials.
LW: Guys, you made your debut here in APW tonight in a spectacular 20 minute time limit draw against The Varsity Club. But the winning team in that match was supposed to advance to next week's championship final. Now, here you are coming out of the officials' office. Any news you can share?
RR: Lance, what everyone witnessed tonight in the ring was very real. You see, after last week when The SAT gave their notice, Beer Money was right there waiting to fill the void. We came here to APW to compete against the very best and become the APW Tag Team Champions.
JS: This isn't a joke. We are one of if not the best tag team in this sport today and we want nothing more than to prove it to the world. So we went to the officials that make the matches and we told them that there was really only one way to solve the problem of the open spot in the finals next week: a rematch. They told us that they would think it over & do whatever was best for business. But, regardless of what they say, we're gonna put eery team here on notice that we're comin' for you.

Jack Swagger pinned AJ Styles with the Gutwrench Power Bomb in 0:13:58.
Rating: **
[Matt Striker interfered against AJ Styles.]

Just when Styles looked to have the match well in hand, Matt Striker tripped up the high-flyer & distracted him just long enough for Swagger to collect himself & attack Styles from behind. Swagger quickly hit the Gutwrench Power Bomb to pick up the win. As Striker & Swagger start to make their way to the back, Lance Wright cuts them off for a quick interview.
LW: Matt Striker, with that victory over AJ Styles, Jack Swagger has got to be concidered a top contender for the APW Title.
MS: Jack Swagger should always be concidered a top contender to any title, no matter if he gains a victory or suffers an occational loss. AJ Styles was just the beginning here tonight. As soon as he feels the time is right, Mr. Swagger will make his bid for the APW Title and in one fell swoop he will wrench it from the grasp of whoever the champion is.
Just then Styles rebounded off the ropes & made a diing attack on to Swagger & Striker, leveling both men. Styles quickly got to his feet & began stomping both Striker & Swagger until officials came & pulled him off.

Footage is shown from last week, highlighting the Rumble for the APW Heavyweight Title. Kevin Kelly & Michael Hayes hype up tonight's main event after the video. They are interupted by Christian Cage's music. Cage comes to the ring for the main event, but, he has something to say before it can start.
CC: CM Punk painted quite the picture for everyone earlier. It's all so much clearer now. Now, I'm not out here to deny the fact that he won the match last week. Hell, I'm not even going to leave out the fact that he eliminated me on his way to victory. But, now it's time for Punk to man up & put that title on the line against me 1 on 1.
Punk's music plays as the new APW Heavyweight Champion walks to the ring for the main event.

CM Punk pinned Christian Cage with the G.T.S. in 0:07:46.
Rating: ***
(CM Punk retained the APW Heavyweight Title.)

Even though the match was fairly brief, it had a good share of back & forth action between the 2 competitors. Punk managed to silence his challenger with the GTS, living up to his prematch boast backstage.

Card rating: ** 1/2

Next week:

APW officials have come to a decision regarding the outcome of the match between The Varsity Club & Beer Money Inc. Since they promised a 4 team elimination tag team match to determine the 1st APW Tag Team Champions, both teams will face off in a rematch to open the show with the winners moving on to the main event for the title.

CM Punk successfully defended the APW Title tonight, but, Christian Cage isn't done chasing the champ just yet. Next week he & AJ Styles will team up to face Punk & Varsity Club captain Jack Swagger.

And next week's main event will be the 4 team elimination match for the APW Tag Team Title: the teams of Derek Frazier & Frankie Kazarian, Patrick Brink & CW Anderson, and Hardcore Holly & BJ Whitmer will be joined by the winner of the match between The Varsity Club & Beer Money Inc with the last team standing becoming the 1st APW Tag Team Champions.
King_Of_Old_SchoolPosted on 09/09/09 at 09:30:01

I love the name of Patrick Brink's finishing move, it's genius. Did you come up with that?
JustinPossiblePosted on 09/09/09 at 14:29:50

Its actually the real name of the move (it's just the Razor's Edge). He wrestled in FCW as Kaleb O'Neal but before that I got familiar with him while he worked in Maryland Championship Wrestling where I'm on the ringcrew (he has since returned to MCW)
King_Of_Old_SchoolPosted on 09/09/09 at 14:33:33

Yeah, I thought it was the same guy. Brilliant name for a finisher!

9-15-09

The opening video plays & immediately after, Kevin Kelly & Michael Hayes welcome everyone to tonight's broadcast. They do a quick rundown of the main attraction matches for the night, heavily hyping the main event 4 team elimination match to crown the 1st APW Tag Team Champions. Just as they finish running down the 3 teams that qualified last week, The Varsity Club's music plays. Matt Striker leads Charlie Haas & Dolph Ziggler to the ring for the opening match.

Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) defeated The Varisty Club (Charlie Haas and Dolph Ziggler) when J. Storm defeated Ziggler by disqualification in 0:09:36.
Rating: * 1/2
[Matt Striker interfered against James Storm.]

The match was back & forth much like their encounter last week. This time, however, Storm & Roode were ready for anything this time out, reversing moves & double teaming their collegiate themed opponents. Storm was preparing to set Ziggler up for the Eye of The Storm, when "Coach" Striker got into the ring & struck him across the back with a steel chair. Striker's interference was right in front of the referee, leaving him no choice but to disqualify The Varsity Club. Luckily for Beer Money, before more damage could be done to Storm, Roode got into the ring with a chair of his own & chased all 3 men off to save his partner.

As Roode & the officials helped Storm to the back, Kevin Kelly & Michael Hayes question the condition of Storm & his ability to compete later tonight in the main event. The camera cuts away to Lance Wright who is with "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal.
LW: Jay Lethal, in just a moment you'll be stepping into the ring with Gregory Helms...
JL: I've said it all before. What it is, is what it is. And tonight, in just a few seconds, if you can wait 'cuz I can't...
LW: You seem jittery.
JL: I'm always jittery. It's my personality to be jittery. It's part of my charm. And tonight, "The Total Package" is gonna find out that "Black Machismo" is the real total package. I'm gonna getcha! Oooooh yeah!

Gregory Helms defeated Jay Lethal by disqualification in 0:10:10.
Rating: ** 3/4

Lethal let his temper get out of control, much like his "mentor", and threw two referees out of the ring. The first when he was kept from going after Helms in the corner, and the 2nd after he failed to make a fast enough count after Lethal hit the Flying Elbow Drop. Lethal tried to continue his assault on Helms after the referee gave his decision, but, officials ran out from the back to keep him away from Helms. As they escorted Lethal to the back he warned Helms that it wasn't over.

A video plays highlighting last week's title match between APW Champion: CM Punk & Christian Cage. After the video, Lance Wright is backstage with APW Heavyweight Champion: CM Punk, who has his left shoulder taped up.
LW: CM Punk, last week you narrowly escaped with your APW Title still intact...
CP: "Narrowly escaped"? What match were you watching, Lance? I pinned Christian right in the middle of that ring, just like I said I would. I even nearly dislocated my shoulder in the process. The trainers & medics told me that I shouldn't compete for at least 2 weeks, but, being the man that I am and the champion I am, I'm going to defy them & step into that ring tonight. True, it's only a tag team match, but, I plan on shutting up all the critics and putting an end to Christian's title hopes once & for all.

Paul London and Kaos battled to a double countout in 0:05:46.
Rating: **

London & Kaos had never faced off before, but, this week they went at it like a pair of lions fighting over a fresh kill. It started as a competitve match between 2 skilled performers, but, it quickly broke down into a brawl when Kaos took it to the arena floor. That's where Kaos reverted to his "extreme" past from XPW: grabbing chairs, ramming London into the announce table, even hitting him with a road sign (where ever that came from). But, London was not to be outdone. He battled back with vicious shots of his own, and at one point tried to put Kaos through the announce table, only to be knocked off by the self proclaimed "Rock Superstar". The 2 fought into the crowd as the referee counted to 10 & continued their fight out of camera range, as Kevin Kelly & Michael Hayes tried to refocus on what was up next.

After returning from commercial, the cameras caught up with Kaos & Paul London still brawling in the backstage area & into the parking lot.

CM Punk and Jack Swagger defeated AJ Styles and Christian Cage when Swagger pinned Cage with the Gutwrench Power Bomb in 0:14:27.
Rating: *** 1/2
[Matt Striker interfered against AJ Styles.]
[Matt Striker interfered against Christian Cage.]

APW Champion: CM Punk let Swagger do most of the work in the ring, due to his "injury". Swagger was double teamed by Cage & Styles, but, had a distinct power advantage over both men. "Coach" Striker also made sure his man was safe on afew occations by shoving both Styles & Cage off the top rope at different moments in the match to save Swagger from what could have lead to, at the very least, a near fall. Swagger battled back using his amatuer skills & power to hold off Cage & Styles as they tagged quickly in & out. The fall came when Swagger was able to fight out of Christian's attempt at a tornado DDT, and then hit his gutwrench power bomb. Punk jumped into the ring to celebrate, but, quickly turned to stomping on Christian shouting that he will never be champion as long as Punk has the belt. Swagger & Striker left their ally to his business & headed to the back. Punk continued to taunt the fallen Christian, until, Styles leapt off the top rope & hit the champion with a flying forearm, sending Punk crashing to the mat. Punk quickly rolled to the floor, as Styles stood tall in the ring. Styles then picked up the APW Title belt and dared Punk to get back into the ring to reclaim it. Punk thought the better of it & slowly backed up the runway to allow the officials to return his property to him later.

Footage is shown from last week of how the first 3 teams qualified for tonight's APW Tag Team Title match, and then of Beer Money Inc.'s victory earlier tonight, allowing them to join in the match as well. The camera cuts away to Lance Wright who is with Frankie Kazarian & Derek Frazier.
LW: Guys, we are just moments away from you getting the opportunity to become the first APW Tag Team Champions. Now, you guys are the smallest team in the match, how does that effect your strategy going into tonight?
FK: Tonight, we're going in as the ultimate underdogs. No one is giving us a chance due to our size, but, they're forgetting to account for our ability.
DF: My only question is after we win the titles is; what kind of excuse will James Storm give for being beaten by 2 guys that no one gave any chance? I mean let's not forget, we beat a pair of former tag team champions to get into this match. And they were so badly embarressed that they didn't even bother to show up tonight.
FK: Maybe we'll run 3 more teams out of this company after tonight when we're the last team standing holding the titles high in the air.

No-Time-Limit-Four Corners Match for the vacant APW Tag Team Title:
Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) defeated BJ Whitmer and Hardcore Holly, Patrick Brink and C.W. Anderson and Derek Frazier and Frankie Kazarian:
x Kazarian beat C.W. via the Wave of the Future in 0:14:10
x J. Storm beat H. Holly after the DWI in 0:17:20
x R. Roode beat Kazarian via the Payoff in 0:26:49
Rating: ** 1/2
(Beer Money Inc. won the APW Tag Team Title.)

Kazarian & Frazier almost made good on their prematch promise to walk away with the tag team titles. First they had all 3 other teams on the run during the first fall, using double team manuvers & high flying tactics. This all lead up to Kazarian getting the 3 count over Anderson with the Wave of the Future, ending the championship hopes of the former ECW star & his partner Patrick Brink. The decided to catch their breath during the brief 2nd fall when the somewhat injured Beer Money caught Hardcore Holly by surprise with the DWI, sending him & BJ Whitmer to the back. When the final fall started, the battered James Storm fought valiantly against both Kazarian & Frazier, until he was able to make a hot tag to Roode. Roode came in quickly & leveled both men with hard clotheslines. Storm re-entered the ring to send Frazier to the floor. As he followed him out of the ring, Roode picked up Kazarian & hit the Payoff to become the first ever APW Tag Team Champions.

Card rating: ** 3/4

Next week:

Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes will seek revenge against Frankie Kazraian & Derek Frazier for eliminating them from the tag team title tournament.

Jay Lethal may have let his frustrations get the better of him tonight, but, how will he react next week when he faces Gregory Helms once more?

Paul London & Kaos will battle it out to find out who is truly the better man.

After what happened in tonight's tag team match, Jack Swagger will go one on one with Christian Cage & AJ Styles will face CM Punk in a non-title match.

And next week's main event will be for the APW Tag Team Title as new champions Beer Money Inc. take on Charlie Haas & Dolph Ziggler of the Varsity Club.

had a tnm crash & had to reload everything so i''ll be starting up new circuit as soon as i redo everything
