IPW SPOILIN' FOR A FIGHT June 14, 2009

A promo video is shown to "Spoilin' For A Fight" by AC/DC of the upcoming matches tonight. The camera cuts backstage where Christian York is shown laid out in a bloody heap. Matt Bentley rushes over to check on the fallen champ. When he does not respond, Bentley calls for a medic.

Ruckus pinned Scorpio Sky with the Hate Crime in 0:13:00.

Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens walk into the commissioner's office.
AD: Mr. Roberts, last week in our crushing defeat, I don't think that fans got feel for just what The Naturals can do..
JR: And you want to go out and do what?
CS: Well, maybe you could give us another chance to prove just how much we have to offer, by giving us a match tonight.
JR: Well, I suppose I could do that. Why don't you 2 head out to the ring and I'll get you some opponents.
AD: Alright! Thank you sir. Come on Chase, this is gonna be a good one.
JR: Oh, and guys, just so you can't back out, this match will be a No Countout match.

No-Countout-Match:
The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated LK and Rhett Titus when A . Douglas pinned R. Titus after the Natural Disaster in 0:28:54.

During the match:
A very pretty, black haired woman in a business suit (with a very short skirt) came out on the entranceway carrying a clip board. After taking afew notes she turns around seductively and goes backstage.

Elix Skipper and Sonny Siaki defeated Team Macktion (Kirby Mack and TJ Mack) when Skipper pinned Krazy K with the Play of the Day in 0:05:35.

Matt Bentley barges into the Commissioner Roberts' office.
MB: What are you going to do about what happened to Christian York? He's getting stitched up as we speak, but, he's in no shape to compete.
JR: First of all I have to find out who jumped him.
MB: I think it's pretty obvious that it was RVD & Ruckus. They need to be suspended & the title match called off.
JR: Oh really? Called off huh? I've got a better idea. If Christian York can't compete tonight, you will defend the title in his place. Either that, or I'll strip him of the title & award it to RVD. And then & only then, after I conclude my investigation of just who attack York will I take any action against them. So you go tell the champ what I said & maybe you should get ready to wrestle later just in case. And trust me, I am a man of my word.
Bentley looks upset & frustrated as he storms out.

Footage is shown from the past 2 weeks of the rivalry between Hardcore Holly & Ryan O'Reilly.

Hardcore Holly pinned Ryan O'Reilly with the Alabama Slam in 0:16:44.

Footage is shown from last week of Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney beating Mexico's Most Wanted to advance to the finals of the IPW Tag Team Title Tournament.

The Hardcore Chair Swingin' Freaks (Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney) defeated Mexico's Most Wanted (Damien 666 and Halloween) when B. Mahoney pinned Damien 666 with the Nutcracker Suite in 0:19:26.

Footage is shown of the confrontation between Christian York & Rob Van Dam last week. And then of the attack Christian York suffered earlier tonight. RVD is introduced & Matt Bentley then comes to the ring with a microphone.
MB:Well, I hate to diappoint you Rob, but, the beating you put on Christian has given him a concussion. So, it looks like your revenge will have to wait. But, don't worry, I'm here to make sure that you get what's coming to you. (Just then Christian York comes out of the crowd and he hits Rob Van Dam from behind with the title belt.)
The referee calls for the bell starting the match.

Christian York pinned Rob Van Dam with the Inverted Cross in 0:18:54.

Match observations:

Even after getting stitches & a slight concussion, Christian York was once again able to walk away with the IPW Heavyweight Title. RVD came close to a victory on a few occations, but, thanks to Matt Bentley's timely interference, he was unable to capture the gold.

The Hardcore Chair Swingin' Freaks once again took down MMW in a non-title match. It was a hard fought victory for the tag champs as the 2 teams brawled all over the arena before ending back up in the ring for the finish.

Hardcore Holly picked up a win over the young upstart Ryan O'Reilly. These 2 seemed primed for a long rivalry.

And just who was the mystery woman that appeared during the tagteam match between The Naturals & the team of LK & Rhett Titus? What did she write on her clipboard? Will she be back next week?

Next week, Christian York will try to get a measure of revenge against one of his alleged attackers as he defends the IPW Heavyweight Title against Ruckus.

Good job running with the What If? scenario.  I enjoy rosters without the bloating of stars so I'll definitely keep following.  Keep up the good work!
