I like your simple, concise reporting of the results. It's sort of like Pro Wrestling Illustrated. I might have to try this out instead of going into so much details (seems fitting too for the time period when wrestling was the focus). The fact it contains old school wrestling is an added bonus.

Monroe - Monroe Civic Center witnessed some great wrestling action Saturday. For the last few weeks Bad News Brown and Dream Machine have been battling the Fantastics. The last few meetings ended in time limit draws but Jimmy Hart made sure that would not be the case in this meeting. With referee Carlos Rodriguez distracted by Jimmy Hart, Bad News Brown hit Rodgers with Hart's megaphone knocking him out and getting the pin.

Jose Lothario picked up a big win over cocky Rick Rude. After the match Rude told Lothario to find a partner and they try it again next week. Lothario said no problem but added that Rude put up the southern Tag team titles. Before Saul Weingeroff could say anything Rude agreed.

The main event pitted Terry Funk up against Southern Heavyweight champion, Ted Dibiase. Funk refusal to release a choke hold cost him the match but it seemed Funk didn't care. He wanted to make a statement and one he did.

Clarksville - Some may have seen it coming but the fans in Clarksville were totally disgusted at the brutal display from one Rick Rude. The brash and cocky Rude took out his frustration of losing the Southern tag team titles last week on Sputnik Monroe who took the fall this week against Jumbo Tsuruta and Johnny Valiant. Rude first took out Saul Weingeroff then on Sputnik Monroe. To make matters worse, Jimmy Hart came to ring side with his boys Bad News Brown and Dream Machine. They jumped in on the mayhem until the Fantastics came to even things up. Rude also did the unthinkable by knocking out referee Carlos Rodriguez with a horrific DDT. The match was called a no contest as officials checked on referee Carlos Rodriguez. Jimmy Hart seemed to be pleased with the actions of one Rick Rude.

In the main event Southern Heavyweight Champion Ted DiBiase continues to be the dominate force in Big South as he remains undefeated by defeating Terry Funk to retain the title. How long can Ted DiBiase ride this wave?

Match observations:

Memphis - After last week's disgusting display, Big South Wrestling fined Rick Rude $10,000 dollars which was gladly paid by Jimmy Hart. Rude told Ring Report that he was tired of carring Sputnik Monroe and that Jimmy Hart has promised big things. Rude, Dream Machine and Bad News Brown teamed up against Sputnik Monroe and the Fantastics in a great 6 man tag team match. Monroe proved he still had something left as he was able to get the pin on Ric Rude.

Del Rio the masked marauder from Mexico told Ring Report that he has been over looked since day 1 and in order to make statement he has to do something that no one has done, that's defeating Ted DiBiase and winning the Southern Heavyweight title. He challenged DiBiase to match next week in North Carolina.

In the main event, Southern Tag team champions Johnny Rich and Jose Lothario defended their titles against the Aristocrats, "Gentlemen" Chris Adams and his partner "Lord" Steven Regal. A great match but the duo from across the pond came up short. In a show of poor sportsmanship Adams and Regal attacked Lothario and Rich and walked out with the tag team belts.

Match observations:

Greenville - Rick Rude and Bad News Brown made sure Sputnik Monroe and Tommy Rogers would not repeat what happened last week in Memphis. Rude beat Monroe to a bloody pulp then slammed 69 year old Saul Weingeroff on the hard arena floor. Bad News Brown finished off the match by adding insult to injury with a fallaway slam for the pin.

Southern tag team champions Jose Lothario and Johnny Rich looked to get their belts back from the Aristocrats who took possession of the titles last week in Memphis. Adams and Regal did not bring the belts with them and mocked the champions about it. In one of the great matches of the year, "Gentleman" Chris Adams passed out in Johnny Rich's Sleeper hold. Steven Regal pulled his partner from the ring in defeat but still have hold of the Southern tag team straps.

There can be only one word that can describe the Southern Heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase and that is dominant. Tonight was no different. Del Rio looked determined to end the streak and take the belt from DiBiase but it was not to be done tonight. After fighting of near fall after near fall, DiBiase was able to mount a comeback and get the Masked Matador in the cobra clutch and the win.

Charlotte - Charlotte was the site for some big news and great wrestling action. On May 19th at the Omni in Atlanta Georgia, Big South Wrestling will present Bedlam. 2 teams of 5 will battle in two rings surrounded by a cage, two wrestlers start off for five minutes; after that point, a new wrestler enters the cage every two minutes until all members of the teams are in the cage; from that point, the first submission counts. Rick Rude will face Sputnik Monroe. Monroe stated that if he fails to defeat Rude, he will retire from wrestling. The Southern tag team titles will also be defended. Jose Lothario and Johnny Rich will face "Gentleman" Chris Adams and "Lord" Steven Regal.

Mr. Wrestling continues to blaze here in Big South as he picks up a big win over Terry Funk. Dream machine and Rick Rude defeated Tommy Rogers and Bobby Fulton in single action. With or without the Southern tag team belts, the team of Jose Lothario and Johnny Rich continue to impress the fans here in Big South Wrestling with a great win over Johnny Valiant and Rey Brooks. Match observations:

Clemson - Before the action got started in Clemson, the teams were announced for Bedlam next week in Atlanta. In another huge announcement, there will be a 4 man tournament to crown the new Appalachia Heavyweight champion. Once the announcements were over Jimmy Hart showcased his newest find the Canadian powerhouse, Dino Bravo. In a show of pure strength, Bravo made Jumbo Tsuruta submit with an Airplane spin.

Bobby Fulton may have picked up the victory over Rick Rude but Rude got the final say as Bad News Brown and Jimmy Hart laid a beating on Fulton. Tommy Rogers tried to come down for the save but was met by Dino Bravo who almost cracked the arena floor with a devastating body slam.

Rey Brooks and Johnny Valiant picked up a big win over the Southern tag team champions with help from Steven Regal. Johnny Rich told Regal that they will settle this next week in Atlanta.

The main event was a tag team match between team captain Jake Roberts and Terry Funk and team captain Ted DiBiase and Mr. Wrestling. Jumbo Tsuruta was guest referee. Terry Funk and Jumbo Tsuruta were jawing the entire match, but Funk should have been paying attention to Mr. Wrestling who was able to hit a Northern suplex to pick up the win.

Match observations:

Atlanta - The atmosphere was electric in the Omni as Big South Wrestling presented Bedlam. Billy Jack Haynes carried the momentum from the start and used it to his advantage to get passed the crafty Nick Bockwinkle and the dangerous Rey Brooks. Billy jack Haynes walks away from Atlanta the new Appalachia Heavyweight champion. Rick Rude retired Sputnik Monroe with the Hotshot.  Rude wasn't done with Monroe yet. While Monroe was thanking his long time manager Saul Weingeroff and the Atlanta crowd, Rude interrupted Monroe and tossed him from the ring. He then got on the microphone and told Monroe to shut up and leave the arena and start being retired. The crowd in Atlanta was horrified with Rude's actions. There is no love loss for Monroe but no one deserves to be treated that way.

Jose Lothario and Johnny Rich defeated the Aristocrats Chris Adams and Steven Regal and took back the Southern tag team belts that were stolen from them in Memphis. The main event was our Bedlam 10 man elimination cage match. The Atlanta crowd made no bones on who they were behind as Southern Heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase led his team of the Fantastics, Jumbo Tsuruta and Atlanta's own Mr. Wrestling. Jake Roberts who's from Stone Mountain was the first to be eliminated by DiBiase. Dream Machine evened things up with the elimination of Tsuruta. Del Rio then took control by eliminating both members of the Fantastics. DiBiase came in and was able to pin Bad News Brown to make it 3 to 2. Terry Funk surprised the crowd with a quick move that eliminated DiBiase. Mr. Wrestling outnumbered 3 to 1 tried to hold his own and eliminated Terry Funk but did not have enough as Del Rio and Dream machine made quick tags to wear down Mr. Wrestling and pick up the win for his team.

Match observations:

Atlanta - With Bedlam in the books Big South returns to the Atlanta Ballroom. Billy Jack Haynes made his first defense of the Appalachia Heavyweight belt in a rematch against Rey Brooks. Dino Bravo tried to influence the outcome by handing Brooks a bat. To Brooks's credit he tossed the bat out the ring. This however gave Haynes an opportunity to take control of the match and latch on the full nelson for the win.

Everyone knew sooner or later Bad News Brown and Dream Machine and Southern tag team champions Jose Lothario and Johnny Rich would cross paths and tonight was their first meeting. A great match up as Bad News Brown and Dream Machine have become one dangerous team. Jimmy Hart distracted Jose Lothario while Brown came from behind and smashed the Megaphone across his back. Referee Carlos Rodriguez called for the disqualification.

Rick Rude made Ron Bass's debut in Big South one to forget as Rude used Bass to send a message to Ted DiBiase that he wants a shot at the belt.

Nick Bockwinkle had no problem defeating Haruka Eigen then called out Billy Jack Haynes to put the Appalachia belt up next week in Athens.

Jumbo Tsuruta and Mr. Wrestling teamed up in a Bedlam rematch against Terry Funk and Jake Roberts. Roberts looked to be in control until Tsuruta hit the Jumbo knee and picking up the big win.

Del Rio looking to feed off his big win Sunday at the Omni faced the undefeated Southern Heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase. The Atlanta crowd seems to will DiBiase through the match. Del Rio came within inches of winning but DiBiase was able to get to the ropes. Del Rio missed drop kick gave DiBiase the opening he needed and locked on the Cobra Clutch.

Match observations:

Athens - Nick Bockwinkle made good on his title shot and defeated Billy Jack Haynes for the Appalachia Heavyweight title. Harley Race surprised the Athens crowd with his appearence and made quick work of Haruka Eigen.

Rick Rude called out Southern Heavyweight champion and actually complemented the champ on his impressive winning streak but then called him a weak and ineffective champion.

Before the main event, Del Rio came to the ring and said he and Mr. Wrestling were more alike than either one would like to admit. Del Rio then asked Mr. Wrestling for a match next week, a battle of respect. The Athens crowd was not buying Del Rio's act and Mr. Wrestling also leery of the offer. Maybe Del Rio's offer distracted Mr. Wrestling who was unable to keep Jake Roberts down. Roberts picked up the win to the displeasure of the crowd.

Match observations:

Sarasota - Big South Wrestling returned to the Sarasota Fair Grounds. Last week, Del Rio challenged Mr. Wrestling in a "match of respect". Mr. Wrestling agreed and it soon turned into a slug fest. Del Rio tossed referee John Shaw out the ring and continued to viciously attack Mr. Wrestling. Once referee Shaw regained conciseness he quickly disqualified Del Rio.

Billy Jack Haynes still upset at loosing the Appalachia title last week to Bockwinkle, came to the ring early and took out his frustration on Jimmy Valiant. The Sarasota crowd was shocked at Billy Jack Haynes attitude. Jack Roberts was disqualified because of Haynes' actions and awarded the match to Valiant.

Billy Jack then called out Bockwinkle for a rematch from last week. Bockwinkle told Haynes that he does not owe Haynes a rematch but gave him one anyway. They gave the Florida crowd a great match and battled to a 20 minute time limit draw.

In Single action Jose Lothario defeated Dream machine in a rousing match.

The Aristocrats' Steven Regal defeated Tommy Rogers of the Fantastics with the Regal Stretch.

Ron Bass and Harley Race battled to a time limit draw.

Bad News Brown defeated Southern tag team champion Johnny Rich with the Getto Blaster.

Terry Funk and Jumbo Tsuruta have been at each other's necks for a few weeks now and tonight they continued their battle. Funk pushed referee Carlos Rodriguez in between him and Tsuruta in a last ditch effort to slow down Jumbo. Rodriguez quickly called for the bell and to the surprise of the Sarasota crowd awarded the match to Funk.

The main event had Rey Brooks taking on the undefeated Southern Heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase. Brooks put up a spirited fight but the champ soon took over. Before DiBiase could continue Rick Rude came to ring side and blasted DiBiase in the back with a chair. Referee John Shaw called the match but Rude was not finished. In a dastardly move he hit the champ again with the chair leaving DiBiase bloodied in the ring. Rude was booed out the Fair Grounds.

Mr. Saito defeated Harley Race and Haruka Eigen in a triangle match after Harly Race stated he could defeat any wrestler in the back.

Next week in Miami, Bad News Brown and Dream Machine will get a shot at the Southern tag team titles after beating the champs Jose Lothario and Johnny Rich and The teams of Fantastics and Aristocrats in an 4 tag team battle royal.

The main event pitted Rick Rude and Southern Heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase. After the brutal attack last week, DiBiase quickly ask and was granted a match against Rude. Rude looked like he was about to end the champs winning streak but DiBiase moved out the way when Rude attempted a flying elbow drop. The champ was about to lock on the sleeper when Jimmy Hart hit the champ with the megaphone. DiBiase slid out the ring to confront Hart but was blindsided by Bad News Brown and Dream Machine. Match observations:

Miami Beach -What a great night of wrestling at the Convention Hall Sunday night. Mr. . Wrestling and Jake Roberts opened the night with some great wrestling action. Mr. Wrestling used the energy from the crowd and locked on the sleeper to get the win.

Last week Jumbo Tsuruta was pinned by Nick Bockwinkle in the 6 man tag match and this week the two faced again this time for the Appalachia Heavyweight belt. Bockwinkle and Tsuruta went back and forth with Tsuruta almost picking up the win. Bockwinkle was able to hold off Jumbo for a time limit draw.

Billy Jack Haynes picked up another big win with the full nelson over Del Rio.

Terry Funk and Johnny Valiant met in a Caribbean Strap Match. Last week Valiant got the countout win over Funk and this week Funk picked up the win.

Harley Race was upset when his open challenge blew up in his face when Mr. Saito locked him into a Japanese Sleeper. This week was a repeat of the same as Saito once again locked on the sleeper and making it two straight over Race.

Once again Bad News Brown and Dream Machine looked to win the Southern tag team belts from Rich and Lothario. They defeated the champs last week in a tag team battle royal but tonight the champs were locked and ready. Steven Regal came down and tried to change the flow but Bobby Fulton caught him before he made it to ring side. Lothario locked on the sleeper and that was it. Lothario and Rich retained the titles.

The main event had the Convention hall rocking as Rick Rude faced Ted DiBiase for the Southern championship. Rude had DiBiase locked in the sleeper hold twice and each time the champ fought his way out of them. DiBiase outlasted Rude and wore his opponent down and walked away still undefeated and Southern heavyweight champion.
