Error 5 shutdown
Superhuman | Posted on 08/24/09 at 19:10:21 Has anyone encountered an error 5 message while trying to open the program. It flashed the error and shuts down immediately. I can't get into the program. Any clues as to what I can do? |
Plutar | Posted on 08/24/09 at 19:34:03 What happened before the error? Did edit or change any settings etc? |
Drunken Fool | Posted on 08/24/09 at 19:34:16 You can't get into the program at all? Or does it happen when you go to a specific area in the program, like the database? |
Superhuman | Posted on 08/25/09 at 05:18:55 No, when I click on the link to open TNM, the window pops up as if the program is activating, then it quickly blinks "Error 5," though it's so fast I can't read the address of the violation. Then it shuts down without going to the main menu. The program worked fine on Friday. On Saturday, this began. |
psz | Posted on 08/26/09 at 03:36:06 Have you tried running TNM form the command prompt to see if you can see the entire error message? |
Superhuman | Posted on 08/26/09 at 18:06:02 Trying the command prompt, but can't get this silly thing to switch directories. I'll try in safe mode. |
Superhuman | Posted on 08/26/09 at 18:31:00 Okay...now it's officially making me crazy. The game is running through the command prompt (?!?), but when I open it inside Windows, the "error 5" shutdown continues. I have no clue where the error is or why it's happening. As much fun as I'd love to have running this only in command prompt mode, I'd rather have it open in Windows like it did before. |
Plutar | Posted on 08/26/09 at 19:51:16 what happens if you go start>run>cmd and then run from the windowed command prompt? |
Superhuman | Posted on 08/28/09 at 13:43:06 The program runs in a command window, yet won't execute the cmd.exe file within Windows itself...I have no idea why this makes a difference since that is a part of Windows, too. BTW, it stayed up long enough for me to see the numerical designation for the error. If I read it correctly, it said 154530. |
lazy duck | Posted on 11/15/09 at 04:36:47 Hey TNM was running fine earlier then trying to schedule a card and I get Error 5 at pgm-ctr: 14481 Any idea? I tried intalling the back up and get the same error at the same spot. Thanks Duck |

Carlzilla | Posted on 11/20/09 at 23:26:43 This looks like an issue with your circuits wrestler database. |
