TNA World X Cup 2008

Hey BonerPosted on 12/22/08 at 07:17:11

Hey there,

One thing I like about TNA is the X cup Tournament the hold heach year. I decided to run the tournament again but change it up a little so here are the rules.

The tournament has 4 rounds. In each round if a team or wrestler wins a match, his/their team gets a point, depending in which round the match was won. In each round the points increase. In the first round, when a wrestler or team wins they get one point. In the second round, two points, in the third round, three points, and in the fourth, four points. After the final round, the team with the most point gained over the four rounds is declared the winners and presented with the World X Cup.

Round 1 = 1 point

Tag Team match up. Round Robin style

Round 2 = 2 points

Single matches Round Robin Style

Round 3 = 3 points

Tag Team Elimination Battle Royal

Round 4= 4 points

Team Captins Elimination Match

Team with most points wins X cup.

Round 1 coming soon

Match observations:

Some controversy here in day 1 as Team International captain Daivari protested the substitution Averno for Team Mexico for the missing Ray Bucanero. After a few minutes the judges allowed the change.

Things went bad to worse for Team International; beside going scoreless this first day of competition, they lose their captain Daivari who dislocated his knee during his match against Team TNA. Daivari could miss the rest of the 1st round and maybe day 1 of round 2.

Match observations:

Things heated up on day 2 as tempers flew all over. Masato Yoshino refused to release a choke hold when the ref warned him and got disqualified. Rey Bucanero decided he was tired of the ref and tossed him from the ring.

Curry man did his job and won both his matches putting Team TNA in first by 2 points.

Round 2 finish up on Day 3

Curry Man vs. Puma
Volador Jr. vs. Alex Koslov
