Results of OCPW Year 1 Week 3: Beach Wars:

North American Tag Team Championship:
The Motor City Machine Guns (c) vs. Milano Collection A.T. and Samoa Joe

No-Time-Limit-Match:
The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) defeated
Milano Collection A.T. and Samoa Joe when C. Sabin defeated Joe by countout in
          0:48:35.
Rating: **** 1/4
(The Motor City Machine Guns retained the OCPW North American Tag Team Titles.)
[So Cal Val interfered against Samoa Joe.]
[So Cal Val interfered against Milano Collection A.T..]

Well, the Guns hold on to their belts, but win in a very controversial manner. I don't think the Guns have heard the last of A.T. and Joe.

Final 8 Qualification:
Drew Blood vs. Super Dragon

[Final 8 Qaulification Match]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
Super Dragon pinned Drew Blood after an Asai moonsault in 0:15:39.
Rating: **** 3/4
[Excalibur interfered against Drew Blood.]

Well, I guess Drew Blood ran out of luck this week, because Super Dragon managed to beat him this week. Dragon did have some help from Excalibur though, so maybe Blood is not quite finished with either of those two yet.

California State Championship (steel cage match):
Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. Alex Shelley vs. Brent Albright

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Triangle Cage Match:
Alex Shelley defeated Claudio Castagnoli and Brent Albright by escaping the cage
in 0:41:11.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Alex Shelley won the OCPW California State Title.)
[So Cal Val interfered against Claudio Castagnoli.]

Well, Alex Shelley is now not only one half of the North American Tag Team Champs, but is now the new California State Champion as well.

Shelley grabs the mike: I told you so. I told each and every one of you stinking fans that I was going to win the Cal-State title, and I did so this week, and it's only a matter of time before me or Chris win the North American Heavyweight title as well.

So Cal Val takes the mike from Shelley: This is the biggest night of my life. Not only did we retain the tag titles, but now we also have the Cal-State title in our possesion as well.

(Chris Sabin comes down to support and congradulate Shelley)
Sabin: Congrats Alex, I knew you could do it, even if these rotten fans didn't. The Motor City Machine Guns will rule the world!
(Sabin drops the mike as they all head back to the dressing room)

Final 8 Qualification Match:
Christian Cage vs. Yoshitsune

[Final 8 Qaulification Match]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
Yoshitsune defeated Christian Cage by countout in 0:11:38.
Rating: ****
[Dawn Marie interfered against Yoshitsune.]
[Dawn Marie's Stalker interfered against Christian Cage.]

Yoshitsune won a qualification match for the final 8 when the mysterious stalker from last week showed up again, and attacked Cage outside the ring, allowing Yoshitsune to pick up the countout victory.

Final 8 Qualification Match:
Bryan Danielson vs. Dean Malenko

[Final 8 Qaulification Match]: Barbed Wire No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-I-Quit Match:
Dean Malenko made Bryan Danielson submit to the Texas Cloverleaf in 2:03:55.
Rating: **** 1/4
[Yutaka Yoshie interfered against Dean Malenko.]
[Dawn Marie's Stalker interfered against Bryan Danielson.]

Malenko won this match via the Texas Cloverleaf. In this match the stalker showed up again! Why is this guy so obsessed with Dawn Marie? Who is he? A jilted ex-lover perhaps?

Chris Bosh vs. Mike Quackenbush

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Chris Bosh pinned Mike Quackenbush with the Maximum Bosh in 0:28:11.
Rating: **** 1/2

Well, Chris Bosh picks up his first singles victory in OCPW over Mike Quackenbush. For some reason Quack has not been fairing well as of late, but hopefully, that will change sooner rather than later.

Scott Lost vs. Rhett Titus

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Scott Lost and Rhett Titus battled to a double countout in 0:30:45.
Rating: *** 1/4
[Samoa Joe and Milano Collection A.T. interfered against Rhett Titus.]

Scott Lost was not so lucky in his debut singles match as Bosh was, but at least it was not a loss. The fans also did not seem to be into this match as much as they were Bosh's either.

First 8 Tournament

[First 8 - Round 1]: Barbed Wire Lightbulbs Death No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Yutaka Yoshie pinned AJ Styles with the Diving Body Press in 0:16:57.
Rating: *** 1/2

Well, Yutaka Yoshie won his match over AJ Styles. Ironically, the stalker did not show up in this match, as Yoshie is managed by Dawn Marie.

[First 8 - Round 1]: Barbed Wire Lightbulbs Death No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Austin Aries pinned Joey Ryan after a somersault slam in 0:29:42.
Rating: *** 3/4
[Chris Hero interfered against Joey Ryan.]

Austin Aries advances with a win over Joey Ryan.

[First 8 - Round 1]: Barbed Wire Lightbulbs Death No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Chris Hero pinned Larry Sweeney after the Running Forearm Smash in 0:20:42.
Rating: ***
[Dawn Marie interfered against Chris Hero.]

Chris Hero pulled out a victory over Larry Sweeney, it looks like Hero's luck is starting to change for the better.

[First 8 - Round 1]: Barbed Wire Lightbulbs Death No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Rene Bonaparte pinned Excalibur after the Michinoku Driver II in 0:22:14.
Rating: *** 1/2

Well, the former Rene Dupree had a win over Excalibur in the First 8. This should be an interesting tournament.

[First 8 - Semi-Finals]: Barbed Wire Lightbulbs Death No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Yutaka Yoshie pinned Austin Aries after a German suplex in 0:23:41.
Rating: ****
[Dawn Marie interfered against Austin Aries.]

Yutaka Yoshie advances to the finals of the First 8, and no stalker again!

[First 8 - Semi-Finals]: Barbed Wire Lightbulbs Death No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Chris Hero pinned Rene Bonaparte after a small package in 0:28:12.
Rating: **** 3/4

Well, this match went Back and Forth, but in the end Chris Hero prevailed to advance to the finals against Yoshie. Will the stalker show up this time?

[First 8 - Finals]: Barbed Wire Lightbulbs Death No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Yutaka Yoshie pinned Chris Hero after a flying bodypress in 1:32:29.
Rating: **** 1/4
[Dawn Marie interfered against Chris Hero.]

Well, this match went back and forth again, but in the end Yoshie pulled off the victory with a flying bodypress and a handful of tights for the right to be the in the match for the North American Heavyweight champion. And guess what? No stalker again.

Chris Hero grabs the mike: Dawn Marie, Yutaka, you cheated to beat me, and I want a re-match. Next week, you put your shot on the line against me. The winner of course gets to take on the winner of the final 8 in the iron man match. Plus Dawn, don't you have problems of your own to deal with, I mean you have this stalker. I wouldn't worry about winning the NA title next week if I were you, Yoshie.

Dawn Marie takes a mike: You know what, your on Chris Zero. And let's make it interesting. Let's make it a 2 out of 3 falls match

Hero: Deal
(just as Chris Hero drops the mike, Dawn Marie's men surround him, all with chairs)
Hero looks around with no place to go, just then the stalker runs down the ring with a barbed wire baseball bat in his hand, and Dawn Marie's men bail out of the ring, as the show ends.

I want to give this a chance, but so far, I can't.  I know it's just TNM, but these shows are all like 6 hours long and every match ends up being a **** to ***** classic.  It just takes me too much to suspend the disbelief as of now.

I've decided to just have the final tournament on the fourth card, and maybe a tag team title match, and a battle royal. I think the amount of matches is a little bit of overkill right now, but I am working to try to trim it down a bit
