We start the night off with a 6 man tag match featuring 6 men looking to make names for themselves. After 20 minutes nothing was solved as they battled to a draw.

(Sputnik Monroe no-showed.)

The first 6 names are announced for the World Championship Battle Royal

The Hard Liners (Dick Murdoch and Dick Slater) vs.
Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson)


Great tag team action between two formidable teams but it was the Hard Liners who came out ahead with Murdock hitting the Gourdbuster on Gibson.

Winner: Hard Liners with the Gourdbuster in 0:19:43.

Ron Starr and Tom Prichard defeated  vs. The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal)

More tag team action and it was a great one. Ron Starr and Tom Prichard shocked the Philly crowd when Prichard hit Hawk with the Piledriver to take the win.

WCWC World Heavyweight Champion Dusty Rhodes enters the Arena but is stopped by ric Flair who tells Rhodes not to get to attached to that belt because it will be his sooner than later.


Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Pat Hutchinson

Yatsu had no problem with Hutchinson to win the opening match.

Winner: Yoshiaki Yatsu after a lariat in 0:02:10.

Curt Hinnig is seen talking to about tonight's 4 corners match for the North American title. He said that him winning the title will be simply perfect.

Magnum T.A. vs. Jim Jamison

Terry Allen was not able to put away Jamison.

Tully Blanchard vs. Koko B.

Blanchard and the Birdman took it out the ring and ended up getting counted out.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Randy Savage

In this rematch from last week's Battle Royal, Savage and Slaughter went at each other but the Sarge was able to get Savage to submit to the Cobra Cluth.

Winner: Sgt. Slaughter with the Cobra Clutch Sleeperhold in 0:06:47.

The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) vs. The Hard Liners (Dick Murdoch and Dick Slater)

The Road Warriors still upset over their lost last week took out some frustration against the Hard Liners picking up the win.

Winner: The road Warriors with a flying shoulderblock in 0:11:58.

Rick Steamboat vs. Playboy Buddy Rose

Not the greatest match but Steamboat picked up the win by countout.

Winner: Rick Steamboat by countout in 0:12:47.

Ron Starr and Tom Prichard vs. Jim Jamison and Robert Gibson

Starr and Prichard were to face the Rock n Roll Express but Ricky Morton was a no-show. Jim Jamison was the last minute replacement but that would not help Gipson get the win.

Winner: R. Starr and Prichard by a sleeperhold in 0:19:39.

WCWC World Heavyweight Champion
Dusty Rhodes vs. Ric Flair


Great match between these two superstars but it was the World Champ who took this one telling the Nature Boy he plans to hold on to the title for some time.

No-Time-Limit-Four Corners Match for the vacant North American Heavyweight Title:
The Italian Stallion, Mark Youngblood, Kato Kung Lee and Curt Hennig


Curt Hinnig came in claiming he was going to win but it was the Italian Stallion who came out the winner; Hinnig promised Stallion he would have a short run.

Winner: Italian Stallion pinned Curt Hennig with the Stallion Slam in 0:23:02.

Sgt. Slaughter and Randy Savage are beating the hell out of each other outside the locker rooms. Steamboat tries to help Slaughter but is taken out by Ric Flair. Officials soon break up the rukus but I'm sure this isn't over.

Earthquake vs. Koko B. Ware

Size does matter when your talking about Earthquake. Koko's talent only goes so far as Quake takes the win.

Winner: Earthquake with the Earthquake Vertical Splash in 0:14:25.

Backstage Slaughter looking for revenge calls out Savage but Savage does not respond. Slaughter continues by telling Savage to find a partner for a match tonight.


Magnum T.A. vs. Kato Kung Lee

A win is a win and TA will take it.

Winner: Magnum T.A by countout in 0:07:27.

Backstage, Savage answers Slaughter's challenge and said he has a partner. Flair enters and talks about Steamboat and how he was going show him why he is called the dirtiest player in the game.


Jim Jamison vs. King Kong Bundy

Jamison should get the win just for lasting 20 minutes with King Kong Bundy but it doesn't work that way.

Tully Blanchard vs. WCWC North American Heavyweight Champion The Italian Stallion

This was a great match and the Stallion looked like he was on his way to defending his title when Curt Hinnig came in and distracted the ref. Blanchard gets a low blow on the champ and hits a slingshot suplex to take the win and the belt.

Winner: Tully Blanchard with the Slingshot Suplex in 0:12:25.

Boris Zhukov vs. Playboy Buddy Rose

The Russian made his WCWC debut and looked impressive picking up the win over the Playboy.

Winner: Boris Zhukov with the Flying Headbutt in 0:16:27.

The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) vs. Ron Starr and Tom Prichard

You know Hawk and Animal had this match circled since they lost to Starr and Prichard in Philly. A great match with the Warriors picking up the win and some revenge. The Road Warriors move to the World Tag Team Titles Finals

Winner: Road Warriors with the POWERSLAM in 0:13:24.

WCWC World Heavyweight Champion Dusty Rhodes vs. Pat Hutchinson

Rhodes faced Hutchinson who he eliminated in Philly for the title fared no better tonight as Rhodes had no problem defending his title.

The Hard Liners (Dick Murdoch and Dick Slater) vs.
Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson)


Murdoch and Slater stated over the week that they wanted another shot at the Road Warriors and for the title would just be extra. Rock N Roll Express put up a good fight but it was not to be. We have a Road Warriors/Hard Liners title match.

Winner: The Hard Liners with the Piledriver in 0:15:29.

Rick Steamboat and Sgt. Slaughter vs. Randy Savage and Ric Flair

These four men went at it leaving it all in the ring but after 20 minutes, nothing was settled.

Match for the vacant World Tag Team Titles:

As advertised this was a great match up as both team came close to winning. Animal hit a power bomb on Slater and the Warriors are World Champs.

Good group of talent.  Only thing that worries me is that when it's unbooked, TNM tends to go haywire with title changes.  TNM's designed in a "one card a month" fashion, so titles tend to change hands more.

Still will see what you do with this.

- World Champ Dusty Rhodes is asked about his title match tonight. Rhodes talked about not being worried and said he was walking out of Canton the way he came in, World Champion.


The Powers of Pain (The Barbarian and Warlord) vs. Allied Powers (Davey Boy Smith and Lex Luger)

Both these teams looking to jump into the WCWC and it was the Powers that made the big impact pinning Davey Boy Smith with all things a small package.

Winners: The Powers of Pain after a small package in 0:10:59.

It is announced that Dusty Rhodes opponent for the World Heavyweight championship would be Barry Horowitz. Horowitz said he was going to shock the world and win the title here in Canton.


Randy Savage vs. Pat Hutchinson

Savage wanted to make a statement to one Sgt. Slaughter and destroyed Pat Hutchinson.

Winner: Randy Savage after a clothesline in 0:04:22.

Kato Kung Lee and Sputnik Monroe vs. Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson)

Morton and Gibson looking to turn things around are still looking as Lee and Sputnik Monroe took out Morton with the Kato Kick.

Winner: Kato Kung Lee and Sputnik Monroe with the Kato Kick in 0:17:26.

Ric Flair talked about his Iron Man match against Rick Steamboat next week. He told Steamboat to get ready to ride Space Mountain because the Nature Boy was use the match next week as a step closer to Rhodes and the World title.
