Alex Shelley pinned AJ Styles with the Shell Shock in 0:25:04.

[So Cal Val interfered against AJ Styles.]

Alex Shelley won the first match in what seemed to be very close match. AJ had the upper hand for the first part of the match, but Shelley came through with the victory when the smoke cleared the ring, and will advance in the tournmanet for the California State Title

Well, this match in the tournament was all that and then some. This match went back and forth the whole night, but in the end Quack pulled off the win with a backslide over Danielson in what has been the match of the night so far.

Claudio Castagnoli defeated Christian Cage when Christian Cage passed out in
a stretch muffler in 0:42:22.

[Dawn Marie interfered against Claudio Castagnoli.]

Well, this was another tournament match that did kept the fans at the edge of their seats. Castagnoli made Cage tap out to a stretch muffler in yet another see-saw battle between two great wrestlers.

[Dawn Marie interfered against Dean Malenko.]

Yutaka Yoshie pulled out the victory over OCPW Founder Dean Malenko tonight in the tournament to crown the first California State Champion. This was yet another incredible match. It seems as if two of Dawn Marie's charges: Alex Shelley and Yutaka Yoshie have advanced to semifinal matches.

Semifinal Match 1: Alex Shelley vs. Mike Quackenbush

[Semi-Finals]: No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Alex Shelley pinned Mike Quackenbush with the Shell Shock in 0:20:59.

Mistake on my part: So Cal Val manages Shelley) But anyway, Shelley with the win over Quack in the first semifinal match.

Well, it looks like Claudio Castagnoli advances in yet another great match, which sets up the final between Shelley and Castagnoli. Should be another interesting bout.

Final Match To Determin the first ever OCPW California State Champion: Alex Shelley vs. Claudio Castagnoli

[Finals]: No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match for the vacant OCPW California State Title:
Claudio Castagnoli pinned Alex Shelley with the Ricola Bomb in 0:36:41.
Rating: *****
(Claudio Castagnoli won the OCPW California State Title.)
[So Cal Val interfered against Claudio Castagnoli.]

Well. The fans loved every second of this one as they were on the edge of their seats the whole night, and in the end Claudio Castagnoli became the first ever OCPW California State Champion. But Alex Shelley is not going to take this loss lying down as he challenged the champ for a rematch next week, which the champ accepted.

Arrogance (Chris Bosh and Scott Lost) vs. SBS (Super Dragon and Excalibur)

Barbed Wire No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Arrogance (Chris Bosh and Scott Lost) defeated SBS (Super Dragon and Excalibur)
when Bosh pinned Excalibur with the Maximum Bosh in 0:34:54.
Rating: **** 1/2

Arrogance with the win over SBS, which only means that they will be trouble in the tag team tournament next week. Should be an interesting tournament.

Austin Aries vs. Chris Sabin

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Austin Aries pinned Chris Sabin after a belly-to-back suplex in 0:33:46.
Rating: *****
[Alex Shelley and So Cal Val interfered against Austin Aries.]

Austin Aries won his first match, but sadly, for Chris Sabin, he lost his, but there is always next week.

Drew Blood vs. Brent Albright

Smashing Mirrors No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Drew Blood pinned Brent Albright with the Teabag in 0:24:17.
Rating: **** 1/4

This is probably the biggest upset of the night as Drew Blood went on to defeat Brent Albright.

Chris Hero vs. Joey Ryan

Singapore Cane No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Chris Hero made Joey Ryan submit to the STF in 0:24:04.
Rating: **** 1/2

Chris Hero was victorious in what was a rather brutal match. I'm expecting big things out of both of these two guys in the future at OCPW!

Larry Sweeney vs. Yoshitsune

Dog Collar No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Larry Sweeney pinned Yoshitsune with the Piledriver in 0:20:46.
Rating: *** 1/4
[Dawn Marie interfered against Yoshitsune.]

This was a decent match, but the fans were not into it as much as some of the rest of the matches on the card so far. Still a decent match, and Sweeney and Yoshitsune have nothing to be ashamed of.

After the match was over Chris Sabin comes down the isle, and grabs the mike:

Sabin: Austin Aries, you got lucky this week, but next week, I challenge you to a tag team match with myself and Alex Shelley. You find a tag team partner, and enter the damn tournament, because next week The Motor City Machine Guns will exit the ring with both the tag team titles, and the California State title in our grasps. And perhaps the week after that, I will win the North American Heavyweight title.

Shelley comes down, and raises Sabin's hand in the air, just as Austin Aries music hits, but he's not alone, he's got someone with him.

Austin Aries: I accept, and allow me to introduce you to my tag team partne.
(Aries takes the hood off his partner to reveal AJ Styles)
Aries: You want it, you got it.

Main Event

Rene Bonaparte and Rhett Titus vs. Milano Collection A.T. and Samoa Joe

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Rene Bonaparte and Rhett Titus defeated Milano Collection A.T. and Samoa Joe
when R. Titus pinned Joe after outside interference in 0:23:10.
Rating: *** 3/4
[Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin interfered against Milano Collection A.T..]
[Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin interfered against Samoa Joe.]

Well, what a week it has been in OCPW. The Motor City Machine Guns made their mark on the card, even if they did not win all their matches, even going as far as interfering in the main event, costing Milano Collection A.T. and Samoa Joe a win over Rene Bonaparte and Rhett Titus. Stay tuned for the tag team tournament next week, it should be interesting to say the least.

Not only will Alex Shelley have a rematch for the CS title, but is also in the tag tournament for the North American Tag Team Titles as well. Is the cocky heel biting off a little more than he could possibly chew, tune in next week, and find out.

Good start. Not sure who some of these folks are but not enough to stop reading. Is the California State title you main title?

No, the North American Heavyweight title is my primary title, that will be decided in a two week tournament starting on week 3.
