UWE WARFARE
3/7/07

Tonight UWE comes to television, in the premire of the weekly television show, UWE Warfare!!

(The Show begins with some video clips from Opening Night, including Eric Young's upset pin over Chris Jericho, the four way brawl between Edge and Orton, and Christian Cage and A.J. Styles, and finally, John Morrison accidently hitting MVP with a chair and then Booker T hitting the Ax Kick, and lastly, MVP and Kenny Dykstra laying out Morrison.)

As the camera pans around the arena, showing the fans going crazy, the music of MVP begins as He and his buddy Kenny Dykstra make their way to ringside.

MVP:  Booker T!!!  Don't think I'm gonna let this go between me and you.  You gotta fluke pin last week cause me and Kenny picked a jackass for a partner.  We left him unconscious, and the next time me and you cross paths, the same things gonna happen to you.

DYKSTRA:  And John Morrison.  We put our faith in you last week.  We thought having you along side would make us an unbeatable triad.  But we were obviously wrong.  If you're looking for an apology, it's not gonna happen.  If you're looking for a reason, why we left you laid out, well it's just because you suck.  So Booker T, we got rid of our weak link, so if you want to go again, the tonight, let's dance.)

(Booker T's music hits and Booker comes out to the stage entrance for his response)

BOOKER T:  I don't care who screwed what up, or who was the weak link, bottom line is, MVP, your shoulders were pinned to the mat, and it was me, getting the one, two three.  Now you wanna go again, if you ain't had enough, then I'm game.  But leave your little girlfriend at home, and let's do this tonight, you, me, one on one.  Now can you dig that ... SUCKA!!!!

MVP: Forget later, let's get it on now.

MVP jumps out of the ring and starts making his way up to Booker, when security comes down to get in between the two of them.  Meanwhile, Dykstra stayed back in the ring watching what was transpiring between his buddy MVP and Booker, and didn't see John Morrison come out from under the ring.  Morrison slid into the ring and knocked Dykstra in the back with a chair shot.  MVP saw and hurried back into the ring, but Morrison was quick enough to get out and make his exit.

Coming back from Commerical, the first match of the night was AJ Styles going against Randy Orton.  The match was made after last week each wrestler jumped into the middle of the Edge/Christian Cage fight.

AJ Styles pinned Randy Orton with the Styles Clash in 0:18:55.

I don't think it came as a surprise to anyone that the end of the match looked very similar to last week as Edge jumped in the ring to attack Styles, and Cage came to his aid, and all four men were left brawling again.  Security wasn't enough to keep the two teams apart, but the only thing that could stop the brawl was the music of GM Shawn Michaels, who made his way to the ring to get in the middle.

HBK:  Okay, so the UWE is less then a week old, this is only the second live event, and already you four men have had two brawls.  I think there is only one fair way to settle this.  Next week, in front of a live tv audience on Warfare, it will be Edge and Randy Orton, against Christian Cage and A.J. Styles.  Fair enough??

All four men seemed to agree and HBK started to leave the ring, but turned around and came back.

HBK:  Oh, and one more thing.  Your match next week.  It will be to determine, the first ever, UWE World Tag Team Champions.

The four men seemed both shocked and pleased with the added stipulation.

In the back, Mr. Kennedy was looking for backup for his upcoming match with Lance Cade, knowing that again Trevor Murdoch will be at his partner Cade's side.  However, everyone was preoccupied with other matters.  Kennedy tried going up to Chris Masters, but Masters was to busy trying to hunt down Petey Williams.  Kennedy tried Booker T, but he was focused on his match with MVP.  As Kennedy left Booker's locker room, Curry Man acctually came to present himself to Kennedy but Kennedy didn't take him to seriously.

KENNEDY:  Come on man, I need a little more then that.  Thanks for the offer though.

Lance Cade pinned Mr. Kennedy after a fisherman suplex in 0:10:29.

The match went as Kennedy thought it would with Murdoch interfering on behalf of Cade.  It was a two-on-one beating after the match, when  despite being shrugged off, Curry man came down to help out Kennedy, but it didn't seem to do much good as he as well got beat down by Cade and Murdoch.

Rob Van Dam next came to the ring for his match, and he was ready to put on a show.

RVD:  Back at opening night, don't get me wrong, there were some great performances, and a lot of great athletes here in UWE.  But none of them have what I have.  You fans want to see the Whole F'N Show, Rob Van Dam.  And now, it's time to put on another show for all of you.

Petey Williams came down to the ring for the match but was quickly blind-sided by a revenge seeking Chris Masters.  Masters locked Williams in the Masterlock, until once again, UWE security had to make another appearance to separate the two and help Williams to the back.

RVD:  Woah, that's my opponent tonight.  I came out here to put on a show for the paying UWE fans, and if Williams can't fight, then anyone else in the back is welcome to come down and be apart of history.

The one answering Van Dam's call was Mexican superstar, Psicosis.

Rob Van Dam pinned Psicosis with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:21:40.

(Petey Williams no-showed.)

Kenny Dykstra came back down to the ring.

DYKSTRA:  John Morrison!! No more sneak attacks, let's do this face to face one on one.

Morrison came running down and met him in the ring and an impromptu match began.

John Morrison defeated Kenny Dykstra by disqualification in 0:05:58.

[MVP interfered against John Morrison.]

Dykstra and MVP began a double team until Booker T came down for the save and MVP told Booker he'll get his later tonight.

Video highlights played of the Jericho/Young incident from last week starting with Jericho ripping up Young's HBK autograph, and ending with Young scoring the upset pin.

JERICHO:  If there's one thing I'm sure we can all agree on, is how big of a role fluke's play in sports.  And last week you saw one of the biggest ever.  This little kid, Aaron Young, I don't even know if you're old enough to be in wrestling.  There is no way you could ever defeat an icon like Chris Jericho.  So Aaron Young, if you really think you can do it again, the come out here.

(Eric Young made his way to the stage)

ERIC:  Mr. Jericho, my names Eric, not Aaron.

JERICHO:  First of all, don't talk to me junior. Second of all, your name is what I saw it is.  So Aaron, if you really think you can beat me again, the step in the ring and prove that you really are a man.

Chris Jericho pinned Eric Young with the Codebreaker in 0:10:58.
Rating: ** 1/4

Jericho didn't seem satisfied with just getting the win.  After the match, he locked Young in the Walls of Jericho and wouldn't let go until, security made yet another appearance to pull him away.

The main event got underway, but if anyone thought this would end up being one-on-one, they'd surely be mistaken.

Dykstra came down to assist MVP, but he was quickly countered by Morrison.  The two of them fought to the back and we thought we could possibly have just the two superstars going at one-on-one. But that wasn't going to be the case either.  As Booker and MVP continued their fight, out of the stands appeared Tomko, who took out both Booker and MVP and stood alone in the middle of the ring as the cameras faded out.

Booker T and Montel Vontavious Porter battled to a double countout in 0:18:04.

A good start.  I like the mix of characters and it'll take a bit to establish everyone's place on the card, but that will fall into place in time.

My one major beef is the match lengths.  It may not seem like a huge deal, but it really takes me out of it.  The match between RVD and Psicosis was for all intents and purposes a glorified squash, but the match went over 20 minutes.  That's an epic match for a squash.  Those kind of details really take me out of it.

But like I said, it's early so I'm still reading. :)
