Monday Mayhem <7/28/08>

Kennedy and Sid are in the ring.  Kennedy says he and Sid have taken Tito Ortiz out of the MCW.  Tonight, Kennedy says he will have his qualifying match for the tournament. He said that with Sid at his side he will bring home the gold and if Tito decides to show up he will be just another victim at Gold Rush.  They leave the ring.

It is announced that Matt Hardy will have a match with Lance Cade to determine is replacement for the tournament should Tito Ortiz or anyone else not be able to compete.

Nigel McGuinness made The Miz submit to a short arm scissors in 0:03:57.

Petey Williams approaches Matt James.  He says he wants to be included in the Light Heavyweight Title match at Gold Rush.  Says he beat Evan Bourne 2 weeks ago and deserves to face Evan and Danielson for the strap.  John Morrison enters the conversation and says he wants a chance too.  James says Petey and Morrison will have their chance to make it a triple threat match when they face off one-on-one later tonight!

MCW Title Tournament Replacement Match:
Matt Hardy pinned Lance Cade with the Twist of Fate in 0:09:10.

Matt Striker and the Agency are backstage with Matt James.  James wants to confirm Strikers mystery man will indeed be here tonight.  Striker tells him not to worry.  James says there is a catch...if he wants his man in the tournament, Striker will have to face Ken Kennedy in the main event.  Striker says he is not active competition, But James says he still owns their services and Striker has to do it if he wants his man in the tournament.  He says a deal fell through and Striker is his last hope.  He also says The Agency will be part of an 8 man tag tonight, as they will team with Thunder & Lightning to face Cryme Tyme and The Briscoe's.  Striker laughs and says "anything to get another shot at Cryme Tyme."  James stops him as he turns and informs him that his men will be banned from ringside against Kennedy, as will Sid Vicious.

The Agency celebrates with T&L, then attacks them.  James comes out on the ramp and says that all 8 men in the match will join The Canadian Bulldogs in a 10-man battle royal at Gold Rush.  The winner will secure the tag team titles for his duo.

Backstage Ted DiBiase Jr. approaches newcomer K.C. Curtis (Played by K.C. James).  Ted says he hears Curtis has a MCW Title qualifier later tonight.  DiBiase Jr. says he is scheduled to face Robert Roode in his debut.  He offers Curtis a clip of money to swap matches with him.  K.C. asks where he got the money.  DiBiase Jr. says its a loan from "A Million Dollar Contributor." Curtis accepts the proposal.

Matt Striker comes out with The Agency.  Ted DiBiase is in the ring awaiting his challenger.  Matt Striker says he would like to announce the signing of a true top prospect...a blue chipper...a main eventer...an...M-V-P!  Montel Vontavious Porter is a member of MCW and more importantly Matt Striker's agency!

MCW Title First Round Matchup:
Ted DiBiase Jr. defeated MVP via DQ after the ref caught Matt Morgan nailing DiBiase with a powerbomb outside of the ring
in 0:10:46.

MVP is irate.  The Agency argues as they leave the ring.  DiBiase laughs at them and gets out of dodge.  Striker can't seem to keep any unity with his faction, but MVP should prove to be a great addition.

The show starts with Matt James on the stage.  He is holding a briefcase which he opens to reviel the MCW Heavyweight Championship.  He wishes everyone the best of luck tonight and says he will waste no time in kicking off the tournament.

MCW Title Quarterfinal Match:
D'Lo Brown pinned Cody Rhodes after the Sky High in 0:04:34.

Cody is visibly upset.  Dusty consoles him and assues him everything will be okay.  Cody shakes his head and says it won't be okay.  He was raised to be world champion and settle for nothing less, just like Dusty.  Dusty tells Cody his day will come and puts his hand out to shake it.  Cody does and pulls him in for a hug.  Cody closelines Dusty!  Cody picks up Dusty and nails his trademark DDT.  He picks up a mic and says he's "done living in the shadow of The American Dream".  He walks out of the ring and leaves Dusty lying.

MCW Title Quarterfinal Match:
Ted DiBiase Jr. made CM Punk submit to the Million Dollar Dream in 0:09:24.

Kofi Kingston pinned Ken Kennedy after a flying cross body press in 0:12:11

Sid Vicious comes in the ring with a steel chair and nails Kofi in the knee.  Kennedy holds his leg down and Sid nails him again.  They leave Kofi rolling in pain.
Kofi Kingston suffered a broken leg. He will be out for approximately 7 cards.

Tito Ortiz pinned Shelton Benjamin after a Brainbuster in 0:05:44.

Matt James walks in Matt Hardy's locker room.  He confirms that Kofi Kingston is injured and he will be replacing him.  He will face D'Lo Brown later tonight for the right to become MCW Champion!

DiBiase is backstage in Tito's locker room.  He tries to buy Tito off and have him throw the match tonight.  Tito says he doesn't have a price and he will quit for no one.  DiBiase says that he know Tito has a price, but the beating he will get tonight will be "priceless".

MCW Title Semi-final Match:
D'Lo Brown pinned Matt Hardy with the Lo-Down in 0:13:30.

Tito Ortiz pinned Ted DiBiase Jr. after a Running Powerslam in 0:02:32.

D'Lo Brown will be facing Tito Ortiz for the MCW Title!  Ken Kennedy and Sid Vicious are show in the back watching a TV.  Kennedy tells Sid they have to do something about this and cannot let Tito win the belt.  Matt James comes in and says he already knows what they are thinking but if either of them interfere, they will be fired on the spot.

Tito celebrates to a huge reaction!  Matt James comes out with the briefcase and opens it up to hand the title to Tito.  The case is empty.  Kennedy and Sid appear on the JumboTron.  They have the title!  Ken Kennedy and Sid Vicious have stolen Tito Ortiz's MCW Title before he even touches it.  What will happen tomorrow on Monday Mayhem!?

Good PPV, Tito Ortiz as Champ is logical. Love the fact his belt was stolen. Good Show.

Monday Mayhem <8/4/08>

The show starts with an angry Tito Ortiz walking through the backstage area.  He is looking for something or someone.  He walks out into the arena with no entrance music and slides into the ring.  Tito calls out Kennedy and Sid and says he wants the title that he rightfully earned.  Sid comes out with Tito's MCW title, followed by Kennedy.  Kennedy says Tito Ortiz could never be a real champion.  He says Tito can't just come in and think he's going to rule professional wrestling.  People like Sid have walked through hell and back to become World Heavyweight Champion.  Tito says he will be more than happy to get in the ring with Kennedy and show him how much a champion he really is.  Tito threatens them to give him the title back.  Kennedy says he has to go through "The Insurance Policy" to get the belt back.  Tito says he will be more than happy to kick Sid's ass tonight!

Later tonight:  The 3 semi-finalists from the MCW Title tournament get a chance at gold in a triple-threat match for the International Title!

Cody Rhodes made T.J. Wilson submit to a sleeperhold in 0:00:25.

After squashing Wilson, Cody picks him up and gives him a vicious DDT.  Cody Rhodes says that he will prove to everyone that he is every bit as good as "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes.  He said ditching his father was just the first step to stepping out of the "enormous" shadow.

"God's Gift To Women" Robert Roode is escorted to the ring by two gorgeous new women.  They walk him to the ring and he demands them to wait on the ramp away from the ring.

After the match, the lights flicker and red laser lights fill the arena.  Roode looks confused.  The words "The Original Heartthrob COMING SOON" appear on the Jumbo Tron.

Highlights from Gold Rush PPV:  A package is shown on the Jumbo Tron from last night's classic 4-star Light Heavyweight Title match between Evan Bourne, Petey Williams, and now champion Bryan Danielson.  Danielson comes out to a huge ovation with the title and joins the broadcast booth.

Petey Williams pinned Evan Bourne with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:11:48.

Danielson puts over both competitors throughout the match.  Afterwards, Williams walks over to Danielson and shouts "That is MINE!".  Danielson takes off the headset and stands up.  They exchange words.  Petey starts to turn away before spinning around and jumping over the table and taking down Danielson.  They brawl.  Danielson takes down Petey and charges in.  Petey picks up the Light Heavyweight title and nails Danielson!  Canadian Destroyer on the announcers table!  Petey stands over Danielson and holds up the LHW Title.  Petey receives major heat from the crowd.  Medics attend to Danielson as Petey drops the title and walks off.

Backstage, Nigel McGuiness approaches Matt James.  He tells James that he is sick of having half-assed opportunties in the MCW and came to America to put on a show for the fans.  Matt James says he understands Nigel's frustration but it's a crowded bunch field and he has to stick out.  John Morrison enters and mocks Nigel, portraying him as a cry baby.  They argue before being interrupted by James.  James says he is going to give both Morrison and McGuiness a chance to shine.  That match us up next!

Nigel is angry as Morrison smiles and walks up the ramp.

Earlier tonight:  Knox and Noble are looking for a partner to take on The Agency later tonight.  They look all over the arena and run into CM Punk.  Noble says he's not really into "that punk rock stuff", he and Knox are more country, but they could really use a partner tonight against Matt Striker's Agency.  Punk says the name isn't a pun on music but he's looking for a way to get back on the map.

Sid and Kennedy escape with Tito's belt again!  Tito picks up the mic.  He says that if Kennedy rightfully wants the belt then he will give him a shot.  He challenges Kennedy to a match at the next PPV, August Heat.  Kennedy accepts.  Tito says he has one more thing to add...the match will happen in his world....a steel cage!  The crowd pops.
