NAWA Glory 4/14/05

NAWA Commissioner New Jack is in his office with an announcement. Last week, Tony Mamaluke pinned Miles Stylish in a tag team match. This gave Larry Sweeney fuel to his campaign to get Mamaluke an NAWA World Title Shot. So, more to get Sweeney to shut up that anything else, New Jack is announcing that Tony Mamaluke will square off against the NAWA World Champion tonight on Glory. However, New Jack metioned that he's also going to force Tony Mamaluke to put his NAWA International Title on the line as well, so tonight it will be Tony Mamaluke and Miles Stylish. Belt for Belt. Champion Versus Champion. NAWA International Versus NAWA World Title. The entire landscape of Wildfire could change with this one main event match but Glory begins right now.

Tonight: Ron Waterman, Raven, and Teddy Hart square off against the Archangels of Anarchy in a six man tag team match. Samoa Joe squares off against Matt Bentley and the just announced belt for belt match. All that and more tonight on Glory.

The Gambler gets his hand raised up into the air, as he continues his winning ways since returning to the NAWA, as Excalibur lays on the mat, completely flattened by the assault. The Gambler squares off against Christopher Daniels. Let's go backstage where the Archangels of Anarchy are standing by.

Backstage:

We cut to the backstage area, where Destruction and Armageddon are on their knees, shackled to the wall, as Desdomia steps forward, with the NAWA World Tag Team Title belts on the ground. She talks about recent success that the Rottweilers have had against the Archangels in recent weeks. The Fallen Angel is not pleased with this and neither is she. Desdomia says that their success is a reflection on the success of Christopher Daniels, and his continued quest to become the NAWA World Title. She says that the Archangels continued health hinges upon their ability to keep those NAWA World Tag Team Titles. Desdmoia leans agains the wall, sighing, saying that this Sunday, she will step in the ring with Armageddon and Destruction to face off against the Rottweilers, along with their manger, Julius Smokes in a six person tag. Many do not believe that the Archangels stand a chance against the Rottweilers, but Desdomia counters it does not matter what the uninformed masses believe, it only matters what will happen this Sunday. Desdomia turns to the Archangels, saying the shackles represent the burdens of their failure and the only way to remove those burdens is to keep their titles at Wildfire. Continued failure is unacceptable. With that we fade out, as Desdomia turns her back on Armageddon and Destruction, an indifferent look etched on her face.

(Miles Stylish retained the NAWA World Title.)
(Tony Mamaluke retained the NAWA International Title.)

Mamaluke and Sweeney look absolutely pissed, as if that match would have gone just a fraction of a second longer, Tony Mamaluke would most likely have been NAWA World Champion right now! Stylish sits up and SWEENEY AND MAMALUKE BEGIN PUTTING THE BOOTS TO STYLISH! The headset drops and Jerry Lynn enters the ring with a steel chair in his handsm chasing Sweeney and Mamaluke off. It's obvious that Lynn, being the competitive athlete he is, wants Stylish at his best, at one hundred percent for their sixty minute Iron Man Match at Wildfire. Stylish is up to his feet, and he is handed the NAWA World Title Belt. Lynn looks at the belt, and mouths: "Sunday" but Stylish responds by shaking his head. Both men involved in the NAWA World Title Match this Sunday are staring each other down, Stylish looking a bit dazed from going thirty minutes full tilt with Tony Mamaluke. This Sunday, he'll have to go Sixty Minutes in perhaps the most grueling match in wrestling, the Iron Man Match. Wildfire should be one to remember but we are out of time, see you Sunday!

Woooh, terrific main. I'll tell you why as well - there was no way in hell Mamaluke was ever going to win that match, yet there were times I thought he was. Great match though, and you'd almost think some mutual respect existed between Lynn and Stylish at the end there... almost.

It's good that Joe has himself an angle right now, obviously having started off squashing people left, right and centre, even though he doesn't have anyone at the PPV. Still, is it just me or was Bentley his toughest match to date?

Huge win for Raven over the tag champs. That sets things up for his big one with CM Punk... I'll have more to say about that in the predictions thread. And yes, an engraved invitation would be nice.

Pussy flippy floppy bitch? Right, I'm calling people that in real life now!

Not that I can see Gambler beating Daniels, but he needs more "Viva Las Vegas" again. Yeah, I remember.

Aries gets the obvious win seeing as he's challenging for the title shortly, not that he'll win though. Actually that was quite one sided there.

New Jack hasn't been "Gangsta'" enough lately. He needs to talk jive some more. :P

You know, after all that searching, Diamond may have stumbled across the right partner after all. Another impressive victory for the duo.

Yes, my comments were an unordered mish-mash of whatever I felt like talking about first.
