GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: JANUARY 5, 2008
LOCATION: SOVEREIGN CENTER, READING, PA

Announcer #1: Ladies & Gentlemen, welcome to the debut of Global Wrestling Revolution Saturday Night. My name is Kevin Kelly & joining me here at ringside is my broadcast partner, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart.
Jm Neidhart: Let me tell you something Kevin Kelly; I don't need you to do my talking for me. Just like the men we're gonna see tonight. Their actions will speak louder than any words ever could.
Kevin Kelly: That's right Jim so let's start things off on a proverbial & literal high note as we toss it up to our ring announcer: Bill Knox.

Bill Knox: Ladies and gentlemen, this first contest is a TAG TEAM LADDER MATCH! The team that retreives the clipboard hung above the ring will get to sign a contract to remain here in Global Wrestling Revolution. The losing team will leave tonight, never to return. Introducing first at a total combine weight of 375 pounds: the team of Cory Kastle & Niles Young: CKNY! (Kastle & Young come to the ring to a mild round of boos.) Their opponents: hail from Chocolate City, the weigh in a total combine worth of over $41 Million Dollars. Sabian & Ruckus: BLKOUT! (BLKOUT come to the ring to Cassidy's "I'm A Hustla" & the crowd cheers alittle louder for the more known of the 2 teams.)

Ladder Match:
BLKOUT vs CKNY

Kelly & Neidhart do their best to call all of the fast paced, high flying action. Kastle & Young did their best to battle BLKOUT at every turn. At one point, Kastle actually took Ruckus down from the top of the ladder with a Frankensteiner! Both men lay motionless in the ring as their partners battled on the outside. As Ruckus & Kastle recovered, Young & Sabian both fought on the ladder to see which team would remain in GWR. Kastle was the first to recover, and he & Young took over on Sabian. But, never one to back down, Sabian took both members of CKNY on alone. Sabian, after taking down both Young & Kastle, tried twice to capture the contract suspended above the ring, but, each time came up just short. The end came when Kastle, thinking his partner had Sabian tied up, climbed the ladder only to have "The Black Jesus" hit a missile dropkick toppling the ladder. Sabian then set it back up & scrambled up to grab the contract & secure BLKOUT's place in GWR.

Ladder Match:
BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) defeated CKNY (Cory Kastle and Niles Young) in 0:19:07.
Rating: * 1/2

Before Knox can introduce the next match, a voice fills the arena "YO! YOU'RE DEALIN' WITH THE X FACTOR!". A familiar looking man wearing a leather jacket & jeans comes from the back & to the ring . He takes the mic from Knox & chases him from the ring.
Man: For those of you that my not remember; my name is Sean Waltman! I was once a member of one of the most dominant groups in history. I'm not talking about DX. I maean The KLIQ! And then when the Kliq was broken up, titles were kept off me, I was pushed down the card, and left for dead. Now, here in the GWR, there will be nothing to stop me from reaching the top, at all costs. I'm going to take over this company, just like I did when I was with the nWo. So I'm just lettin' everyone here know: your ass is grass & I'm gonna smoke it!
Suddenly, a somewhat familiar guitar riff plays, the words "ONE OF A KIND" are blasted through the arena, as the fans go wild when a man dressed in an airbrushed singlet with his hair pulled back in a tight pony tail steps out from backstage. The man stops at the top of the entrance way & smiles as he looks around to all the fans. The man raises his arms, sticks out his thumbs, and points to himself 3 times. With each point of his thumbs the crowd screams the name: ROB VAN DAM!
Rob Van Dam: Did I hear someone say the words "smoke" and "grass"? If there's one person around here that knows a thing or 2 about that; it's me (points to himself again) R-V-D. But, I also know a thing or 2 when it comes to wrestling & being pushed or held back. Now, you can blame politics or whatever you want for how you were treated. But I think I know the answer. Maybe it was because you just sucked. If you think you're so bad why don't you put your money where your mouth is and face me later tonight? (The crowd roars its approval)
Sean Waltman: (looking flustered) Van Dam, I've gone toe to toe with guys like Jerry Lynn, Triple H, and Kane. Do you really think I'm intimidated by you?
Rob Van Dam: You better be. Because I've stood toe to toe with the same men that you have, with one exception: I actually beat them. And I'll have no problem beating you later tonight.
Van Dam drops the mic & walks away. Waltman looks as if he is about to attack, but, just as he makes a move, Van Dam turns back & hits Waltman with a sharp superkick, sending him to the floor.

BJ Whitmer vs. Julio Dinero

This match was full of back & forth action. Both men traded submission holds early on, but, it was when Whitmer started to lose his cool that things started to pick up. When he failed to put Dinero away with a frog splash, Whitmer threw referee D. West out of the ring, risking disqualification. But the somewhat leaniant West let the match continue on. Dinero, however, had experience on his side and managed to hit the Jalapeno Popper (Vertibreaker) on a surprised Whitmer for the win.

Julio Dinero pinned BJ Whitmer with the Jalapeno Popper in 0:12:07.
Rating: ** 1/4

As officials tried to seperate Credible & Doring, another ECW original: Axl Rotten made his way to the ring carrying his trademark chair.
Axl Rotten: You know, I have to admit that I kinda long for the old days. Back when men were men & the matches were hardcore to the bone. So what I'm gonna do right now is lay out an old fashioned "open challenge" to whoever thinks they have what it takes to kick my ass in a match with no DQ and no countout. Come on boys, I know somebody back there must have some balls!
Disturbed's "Enemy" plays throughout the arena as the former 4 time XPW King Of The Deathmatch Champion: "The Human Horror Film" Supreme steps from the back carrying a chair of his own.

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ Match:
Axl Rotten vs. Supreme

The crowd was treated to an old school, hardcore fight. With the reputaions of both men well known, the fans were chanting early on for blood to be spilled. And not one to disappoint, Axl not only busted open his opponent but after a hard whip into the ring post, was bleeding steadily himself. Although not as long as the previous matches, all the violence that was expected was delivered by the bucketfull. The match finally came to an abrupt end when Supreme mounted the top turnbuckle and put Axl away with the Mecca Toad Splash for the win.

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Supreme pinned Axl Rotten with the Mecca Toad Splash in 0:10:50.

Kevin Kelly: Jim, I've just been informed that next week, GWR will be holding an 8 team tournament to crown the first ever Global Wrestling Revolution Tag Team Champions.
Jim Neidhart: Well ya know baby, you can bet that everyone's gonna want to be a part of that and that they're all lining up in the back to make sure that their team is on the list. As a matter of fact, I'm willing to bet that the 2 teams in this next match are already to go for that gold next week.
As Neidhart finishes up, the sound of a single guitar fills the arena as 2 men dressed in bright blue come to the ring. Both are sporting blue t-shirts. One is overweight with blue hair & the other has a painted on beard. Bill Knox introduces the team to the cheers of the fans.
Bill Knox: Ladies and gentlemen, making their way to the ring, weighing in at a total combine weight of 445 pounds. "Hollywood" Nova & "Da Blue Guy" The Blue Meanie: THE BLUE WORLD ORDER! (Nova takes the mic)
Nova: (impersonating Hulk Hogan) Well you know something brother, "Hollywood" and "Da Blue guy" brother are here for one reason, brother. And that is: we're takin' over, brother! (hands the mic to Meanie)
Blue Meanie: (impersonating Scott Hall) Hey yo! That's another one FOR THE BLUE GUYS!

The bWo vs The Naturals

The crowd was up for seeing former NWA World Tag Team Champions: Stevens & Douglas but quickly turned against them thanks to their underhanded tactics. But not to be out done by cheating, Nova & Meanie broke out some double teaming & trademark comedy that made them favorites in the old ECW. In the end, The Naturals experience proved to be too much as they hit Meanie with the Natural Disaster to pick up the win much to disappointment of the fans.

The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) when C. Stevens pinned Meanie after the Natural Disaster in 0:17:23.
Rating: ** 3/4

Neidhart puts over the last match, talking about his own tag team & championship history, reminding the fans that next week; the first GWR Tag Team Champions will be crowned.

Christian York vs Luke Hawx

This was a battle of 2 high flyers that wanted to make a big impact. It was Luke's youth against York's vast experience. The former XPW King Of The Deathmatch Champion took the fight straight to the former multi time champion: York, matching him move of move, both on the mat & in the air. With the speed & agility that both men possess, Neidhart & Kelly had a hard time keeping up with all the action at times. On 2 occations, Luke went for a moonsault to try & put York away. The first time York managed to roll out of harms way, and on the second, he pulled his knees up at the last moment to keep his hopes of winning alive. After recovering, Luke decided to take the fight to the floor. Using the techniques he learned by fighting men like Supreme & Vic Grimes, Luke battered York all around the ring. York, never one to be outdone, fought back with all he had once they got back in the ring, but, the damage had been done. Luke continued to be unrelenting with his high impact offense & hit the holy Driver to pick up the pinfall.

Luke Hawx pinned Christian York with the Holy Driver in 0:11:15.
Rating: * 1/4

As DeMott & Kelly put over the last match, the particpants for the next match head to the ring & ring announcer: Bill Knox makes the introductions.
Bill Knox: Ladies & gentlemen this next contest is scheduled for one fall with a 20 minute time limit. (a hip hop beat plays as Knox continues) Introducing first from New Orleans, Louisiana weighing in at 276 pounds & accompanied to the ring by Jazz: "The Bad Dogg" Rodney Mack!
The crowd recognize Mack & Jazz and let them hear their displeasure until they hear the familiar sound of a woman's voice saying "THIS IS A TEST". Bill Knox immediately announces the tall, musclular man dressed in a red & black. "His opponent: from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing 278 pounds.... "THE PUNISHER" ANDREW MARTIN! (the crowd erupts)

Andrew Martin vs. Rodney Mack w/ Jazz

This match wasn't pretty and neither man's feet seemed to ever leave the ground, but, the 2 experienced brawlers showed the crowd a traditional old school fight. Martin would not go down without a fight, even managing to escape Mack's Blackout hold at one point. Martin's downfall came however when his frustration with the former protege of Junkyard Dog got the better of him & he took it out on referee Danny Davis. When Davis failed to complete a 3 count on Mack, Martin threw the referee turned wrestler turned referee over the top rope. When Davis recovered a few minutes later, he had no choice but to disqualify Martin & give Mack the victory.

Rodney Mack defeated Andrew Martin by disqualification in 0:15:32.
Rating: * 3/4
[Jazz interfered against Andrew Martin.]

The camera cuts backstage & catch up with Axl Rotten & Supreme continuing their fight through the hallways as officials & security rush to seperate them.

Danny Doring vs. Aaron Stevens

In another match of youth versus experience, former ECW & MCW Tag Team Champion: Danny Doring took on young upstart "Idol" Aaron Stevens. Stevens, a former Smackdown competitor, took all the ECW original had to dish out, & gave some back in return. The match spilled out of the ring on several occations & that's where Doring's "Extreme" background gave him the advantage. But once they got back in the ring, Stevens turned it up & showed his wrestling background, finally being able to hit The Downer & pin Doring 1, 2, 3.

Aaron Stevens pinned Danny Doring with the Downer in 0:13:13.
Rating: * 1/2

The crowd in the arena & at home are shown the confrontation from earlier tonight between Sean Waltman & Rob Van Dam, leading up to the main event, which is next.

Rob Van Dam vs. Sean Waltman

The main event promised to be hard hitting & both men delivered from the opening bell. They exchanged stiff kicks as each tried to wear down the other's legs. But, it would be Van Dam whose "educated feet" that took control. Leveling Waltman with a superkick, just like earlier in the night, allowing RVD to climb to teh top & hit a high cross bodyblock for what should have been a near fall. "Should have" because on his way down Van Dam's legs took down referee D. West, rendering him unable to make a count. Waltman would use Van Dam's distration of trying to wake the ref to take over. Waltman would use the incapacitated referee to use all the underhanded tactics he could to try & gain a larger advantage. Even going so far as to pull out a pair of brass knuckles to use on the former WWE & ECW World Champion. Van Dam, used to foreign objects from his days in the old ECW, caught Waltman in the middle of his plan, & stole the knux from him. He then used the weapon against it's owner & literally drew first blood as a gash opened up on Waltman's head. Van Dam with the crowd firmly behind him, took control & aside from some brief moments of offense from Waltman, maintained his dominance throughout the remainder of the match. When the action left the ring, Van Dam pulled a road sign from under the ring (how it got there we'll never know) & brought it down hard over Waltman's head. That would set up Waltman for the finally of the match when Van Dam rolled him back in. Instead of just following his prone opponent through the ropes, Van Dam climbed up to the top & hit the 5 Star Frog Splash to pick up the win in the first ever main event of GWR.

Rob Van Dam pinned Sean Waltman with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:06:44.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: JANUARY 12, 2008
LOCATION: THE ASBURY PARK CONVENTION HALL, ASBURY PARK, NEW JERSEY

After the opeing video, Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart welcome everyone to the show & remind the viewers that tonight will be the 8 team tournament to determine the first GWR Tag Team Champions.

Round 1:
Andrew Martin & BJ Whitmer vs. The Naturals

The first half of the match saw alot of back & forth action between both members of the Naturals and Whitmer. Stevens & Douglas used many double team moves on Whitmer to hold the advantage & keep things under their control. But, after a hot tag from Whitmer to Martin, the match took a drastic turn. Martin's size and freakish strength to take on both Naturals at once. The end came when Whitmer knocked Douglas out of the ring & he & Martin double teamed Stevens. When the referee finally stepped in & made Whitmer leave the ring, Martin hit Stevens with the Pumphandle Powerslam to pick up the win & advance his team to the semi-finals.

[Round 1]:
BJ Whitmer and Andrew Martin defeated The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) when Martin pinned C. Stevens with the Pumphandle Powerslam in 0:16:55.
Rating: * 3/4

Ring announcer Bill Knox comes to the ring to introduce the teams for the next match.
Knox: This next match is scheduled for one fall and is the second match of the first round of the Global Wrestling Revolution Tag Team Title Tournament. Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by the most dangerous woman in wrestling: Jazz;  from New Orleans, Louisiana weighing 275 pounds: "The Badd Dogg" Rodney Mack! (Mack's music plays as he & Jazz make their way to the ring) His partner is alos hails from New Orleans, he weighs in at 180 pounds; "The Southern Stomper, "Bad Boy" Luke Hawx! (Luke comes to the ring to alot of boos.) Their opponents are the former CZW & MCW Tag Team Champions: from Chocolate City, weighing in at a total combine street value of over $60 million dollars, he is the Bill Duke of the Dookie Shoot... ladies only... The Nubian Messiah... The Black Jesus... Sabian! (crowd pops lightly) His partner is the Michael Hayes of Getting Blazed, The Mene Gene of Smoking Green, The Teddy Long of Hittin' The Bong, The Butch Reed of the Green Weed, The Jake The Snake of Getting Baked, The AJ Styles of Black & Milds, and The Bruce Lee of OOOOOOOOO WHEEEEEEE! RRRRRRRUCKUS! (crowd cheers get louder)

[Round 1:
BLKOUT vs. Rodney Mack & Luke Hawx

Macks power advantage seemed to be too much for the smaller team of BLKOUT as both Sabian & Ruckus felt the wrath of the Dogg. It wasn't until Luke got into the ring that the former CZW Tag Team Champions were able to gain control with high flying moves & double teaming. But that control would not last long as Luke was able to get help from his larger partner, and a well timed distraction from Jazz, to deliver the finishing blow to advance to the semi final round.

[Round 1]:
Rodney Mack and Luke Hawx defeated BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) when Luke pinned Sabian with the Holy Driver in 0:13:27.
Rating: ** 1/4
[Jazz interfered against Ruckus.]

Aaron Stevens & Julio Dinero are in the ring waiting for the arrival of The bWo as the screen for the viewing audience goes blue when their music plays. The crowd cheers as "Hollywood" Nova & "Da Blue Guy" come to the ring passing out t-shirts around ringside.

Round 1:
The bWo vs. Aaron Stevens & Julio Dinero

Stevens & Dinero were at a distinct disadvantage, going up against the more experienced team of Nova & The Meanie. And even though The bWo team may not have had much success in the past, they controlled this match & looked to be a team that is well on their way to a championship. Double teaming was a main part of the bWo offense, keeping one man isolated from his partner. The end came when Stevens finally seemed to have things going in his favor, but, his inability to put Nova down for a solid 3 count caused "The Idol" to lose his temper & get disqualified for not breaking a chokehold by the referee's 5 count.

[Round 1]:
The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) defeated Aaron Stevens and Julio Dinero when Nova defeated Idol by disqualification in 0:12:30.
Rating: 1/2*

A video plays from last week of Cory Kastle & Niles Young losing the ladder match to BLKOUT & therefore losing their places on the GWR roster. After the video, Danny Doring & Christian York are introduced for the next match.

Round 1:
Danny Doring & Christian York vs A Mystery Team

Doring & York are in the ring awaiting the arrival of the mystery team that they have to face. YO, YO, YO, YO, POP A 40 & CHECK YOUR ROLLIES. IT'S CRYME TYME! The crowd gives a mixed reaction to former Raw Tag Team Title contenders: JTG & Shad Gaspard as they come to the ring to close out the first round of the tournament.

Round 1:
Danny Doring & Christian York vs Cryme Tyme

JTG started this one off with Danny Doring, and was quickly over matched. Quick tags kept Doring & York in control over JTG, & years of experience would draw in Shad & keep the referee's attention. When Shad finally got the tag, he came in & used his size to take over. Shad tossed both Doring & York around like they were training dummies. Shad threw York from the ring & both members of Cryme Tyme brutalized him right in front of the announce table. York managed to get Doring back into the ring, but, it was too little too late, as Shad's momentum was too great. Doring tried to fight back, but, Cryme Tyme had everything going their way as Shad lifted Doring up & JTG hit the G 9 for the win.

[Round 1]:
Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) defeated Christian York and Danny Doring when JTG pinned Doring after the G 9 in 0:12:05.
Rating: * 1/2

Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart go over a quick highlight video showing how the teams for the next match advanced to get there.

[Semi-Finals]:
BJ Whitmer & Andrew Martin vs. Rodney Mack & Luke Hawx

The would turn out to be the most evenly contested match of the tournament. Martin, who knew Mack from their WWE days, picked up where they left off last week, attacking Mack before the bell. Martin's advantage didn't last however, as Mack was able to battle back, matching him in power & technique. Interestingly, it would be Whitmer's speed that took control over Mack's power & cheating. But, when Mack tagged out to Luke, the momentum once again shifted back to the team from New Orleans. Whitmer would twice kick out from Luke's 450 splash, and regain control after the second. Then it was back to the power men of the 2 teams, as Mack & Martin battled it out in the ring. Martin would gain control & force Mack to tag out, which would prove fatal for his team. Martin's size & strength was way too much for Luke to battle, and he quickly fell victim to the Pumphandle Powerslam, allowing Martin & Whitmer to advance to the final.

[Semi-Finals]:
BJ Whitmer and Andrew Martin defeated Rodney Mack and Luke Hawx when Martin pinned Luke with the Pumphandle Powerslam in 0:10:29.
Rating: ** 3/4

Another video is shown highlighting how the next 2 teams advanced to reach the semi-finals.

[Semi Finals]:
The bWo vs. Cryme Tyme

This match went back & forth with no team truly gaining an advantage. That is, until Aaron Stevens came down to the ring to get revenge on the team that knocked him out of the tournament. Just as Shad got control over Nova, JTG distracted the referee as Stevens hit Nova across the back with a steel chair. This caused Nova to stagger forward into the waiting grasp of Shad , who then hit a huge spinebuster to put the match away.

[Semi-Finals]:
Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) defeated The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) when S. Gaspard pinned Nova with the Spinebuster Slam in 0:10:46.
Rating: * 1/2
[Aaron Stevens interfered against The Blue Meanie.]
[Aaron Stevens interfered against Nova.]

Kelly & Neidhart put over both teams that made to the championship final as a video is shown of the road both teams took to get there.

[Final]: For the vacant GWR Tag Team Title:
BJ Whitmer & Andrew Martin vs. Cryme Tyme

Whitmer & Martin were just alittle more well rested for this final match for the championship, as they took control early over the more experienced team of Shad & JTG. But it would be Shad's power & underestimated wrestling ability that would get his team back on top. But when Cryme Tyme would try to double team Whitmer, Martin would charge in to even the odds. Whitmer appeared to have the match won at one point when he hit the Wrist Exploder Suplex on JTG. The referee seemingly counted to 3, but, then inexplicately let the match continue. During the confusion, Shad grabbed Whitmer & JTG hit the G 9 to pick up he win & become the GWR Tag Team Champions.

[Finals]: Match for the vacant GWR Tag Team Title:
Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) defeated BJ Whitmer and Andrew Martin when JTG pinned Whitmer after the G 9 in 0:19:21.
Rating: **** 1/4
(Cryme Tyme won the GWR Tag Team Title.)

Kelly & Neidhart go over the 2 matches from last week that lead up to tonight's main event. Neidhart talks about how the backstage fight between Supreme & Axl Rotten was almost as brutal as the one they had in the ring. Kelly, however, counters with the high flying assault that both RVD & Sean Waltman put on should be the spots to watch next.

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Rob Van Dam & Axl Rotten vs Sean Waltman & Supreme

Tonight's main event picked up where last week's left off, with Waltman & RVD exchanging kicks & chops. Once Van Dam got control, he tagging in Rotten who used his size to push Waltman around & manhandle the smallest man in the match. But, thanks to his speed, Waltman made a tag to bring in Supreme. Again, these 2 picked up where they left off last week, trading hard punches that caused the action to spill out of the ring. All 4 men started brawling in the ringside area, using whatever they could get their hands on. As they traded opponents, Supreme busted Van Dam open with a fire extinguisher. RVD then fought back & tried to put Supreme through the announcer's table, only to have the "Human Horror Film" move at the last second so RVD could crash through alone. Later in the match, RVD would try to put Supreme through another table at ringside, but, this time he would be successful as he found teh mark with a top rope leg drop. Waltman & Rotten would trade punches in he ring as RVD & Supreme recovered outside. But once he recovered, Supreme showed RVD no mercy. Putting Van Dam down with a chair shot & then scaling the corner & hitting Van Dam with the Mecca Toad Splash all the way to the concrete floor! If it wasn't for Axl getting there in the nick of time to break up the pin, the match would have ended right there. As Axl & Supreme brawled, RVD got up & grabbed the ring bell & used it to bust open the shaved head of Supreme. By the end of the match, all 4 men were covered in blood. The end saw a bloody Axl Rotten lay out Waltman with a vicious chairshot, & then do the same to Supreme as RVD climbed to the top rope. Van Dam would then hit the 5 Star Frog Splash on Supreme as he lay on the concrete floor to pick up a hard fought win.

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Axl Rotten and Rob Van Dam defeated Sean Waltman and Supreme when RVD pinned Supreme with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:17:54.
Rating: *** 1/2

Axl Rotten comes over & picks up Van Dam after the match to celebrate, but, Van Dam is in no shape due to the effects he feels from his own high risk finisher. As the show closes, the camera cuts away from the ring & a video package plays that is reminiscent of the old ECW's "Pulp Fiction" montage. The music playing in the background is Joe Satriani's "Mind Storm". The video starts with new GWR Tag Team Champions: Cryme Tyme.
Shad Gaspard: Check out the new gold. (to JTG) We gots the gold, we gots the power, & now we gots the money, money, yeah, yeah. (chanting) Money. Money. Yeah, Yeah. (JTG joins in)
Both: (getting louder) Money, money. Yeah, yeah. Money, money. Yeah, Yeah.
The bWo is standing in a locker room.
"Hollywood" Nova: Let me tell you somethin' brother! The bWo, brother, isn't done yet, brother. We may have suffered a set back this week, brother, but, now we're gonna get back on track, brother, and get those tag team titles, brother. (poses like Hogan) Brother! Brother! Brother!
Meanie takes the toothpick from his mouth & flicks it at the camera.
Sean Waltman: Axl Rotten, you need weapons to take on someone of my caliber. A chair, a table, chains, signs, whatever. Well, next week, you're not gonna have any of that, but, I will have the only weapons I need: my hands & feet. I will make you pay for the blood you spilled tonight.
BJ Whitmer: I don't know what Cryme Tyme did to get the ref to cheat me & "The Punisher" out of the tag titles tonight, but, next week, revenge will be sweet when we take those belts from those 2 thugs.
Andrew Martin: It's not revenge, it's punishment!
Axl Rotten: Sean Waltman, you like to talk about how lethal your hands & feet are. Well, X-Punk, I've done more damage with these fists growing up on the streets then you could ever imagine. I don't need a chair to crush you. I don't need a chain to bust you open. All I need is this taped hand to take you to the extreme & pound you into dust.
Rob Van Dam: Supreme, I'll be the first to admit that you took me to a place I haven't been in years. You drew first blood, you took extreme to another level. But now, next week, I plan on showing you why I'm not just Mr. Monday Night. I'm not just Mr. Thursday Night, Mr. Friday Night, Mr. PPV. I'm gonna show you that I am the entire week, that I'm the "Whole F'N Show". That I am (points to himself) ROB VAN DAM!

I really liked the pairing of Whitmer and Test, they are a perfect power heel tag team.

I initially felt that you went a little too quick to the NO Dq match in the RVD/Rotten vs Superme/Waltman feud, but I get an ECW-like vibe from your promotion, so it isn't such a bad fit after all.

Would I be correct to assume that your matches are mostly booked (winners, but not detailed) ?
JustinCaseYouForgotPosted on 01/08/08 at 23:39:42

Actually, I'm doing the "Put Up Or Shut UP" What If... using Rick's Old School Rules. Just about everything has been unbooked so far. And Whitmer & Test are actually a face team thrown together for the tag tourney.

As for the old ECW feel... I figured with the talent on hand & free agents out there for the scenario, I'd go the way of Paul E. & make lemonade from the lemons of life.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: JANUARY 19, 2008
LOCATION: FIRST ARENA, ELMIRA, NEW YORK

"Adrenaline" by 12 Stones is the song played under the opening video package. As soon as it ends, we are welcomed to the show by Kevin Kelly & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, as the teams for our opening match head to the ring.

The bWo vs. The Naturals

This was a rematch of sorts from our first show 2 weeks ago. Last time, The Naturals used their experience to take advantage of the bWo, who hadn't teamed together in years. This time, however, The Meanie & Nova were out for revenge. Tonight, Nova & Meanie put away the comedy ct that made them famous & got straight to work on the Naturals. The Naturals held their own for the match, but, The bWo never let up or backed down. The 2 teams fought outside the ring, where the former ECW duo took their "bingo hall brawling " to use. Throwing the Naturals into the guard rails, swinging chairs, and just getting dirty to keep control. The end came when Nova chased Douglas from the ring, allowing Meanie to climb to the top rpe & hit the Meaniesault for the win.

The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) defeated The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) when Meanie pinned C. Stevens with the Meaniesault in 0:14:35.
Rating: **

Christian York vs. Aaron Stevens

This match started off with a mixed reaction from the crowd for both men. The action, much like the crowd, swayed back & forth between both men for much of the match. It wasn't until Stevens started using alot of underhanded tactics, that the crowd truned on him & got behind York. York fought back bravely & managed to get control back with some high flying moves, finally hitting the Moonsault for he win.

Christian York pinned Aaron Stevens with the Moonsault in 0:11:48.
Rating: * 1/2

Footage is shown from last week of the Falls Count Anywhere Match in which Sean Waltman & Supreme took on Rob Van Dam & Axl Rotten.

Axl Rotten vs. Sean Waltman

Waltman threw all his technical ability out the window in order to brawl with Rotten. Surprisingly, he was able to hold his own with the veteran of the Thai Pai Death Match. Rotten used his size to push Waltman around and it was the hard trips to the mat that made him rethink his game plan. Soon, it was back to martial arts kicks & high flying for Waltman. The crowd was firmly behind Rotten, even going as far as to chant for Waltman's blood, but, everytime Rotten tried to ablige them, Waltman would fight back just enough to save his bodily fluids. It was when the match spilled into the ringside area that Rotten's grip on control would get tighter. Tossing Waltman into teh ringsteps & then back into the ring where he would catch his opponent by suprise, hitting Severe Skull Trauma on Waltman to pick up the 1...2... 3.

Axl Rotten pinned Sean Waltman with the Severe Skull Trauma in 0:13:22.
Rating: * 3/4

After the break, Ruckus & Sabian, aka BLKOUT, come to the ring with thier long time "business associate": "Primo" Robbie Mireno.
Robbie Mireno: Everybody knows that BLKOUT has won titles all over the country. Well last week, when my boys couldn't be outclassed, they got out cheated. So to prove to any doubters out there if we are for real, BLKOUT is issuing an open challenge to any team that thinks they've got what it takes to hang with the best team there is today.
Heavy metal music plays as 2 large, familiar looking bald men walk to the ring. The Harris Brothers have come to answer BLKOUT's challenge.

BLKOUT vs. The Harris Brothers

Don & Ron Harris easily tossed around their smaller opponents as this match started off. It seemed like the 2 bald bikers would be too much for BLKOUT as they kept shrugging off whatever Ruckus & Sabian would throw at them. It was clearly a mismatch of styles & the fans let everyone know that while they appricaied BLKOUT's efforts, the match was going alittle long for them. It would be the Harris' frustration caused by their inability to put Ruckus & Sabian away that lead to the finish. Ron had Ruckus held high in the air in a chokehold that he refused to break, leaving the referee no choice but to dq the large GWR newcomers.

BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) defeated The Harris Brothers (Ron Harris and Don Harris) when Ruckus defeated R. Harris by disqualification in 0:16:00.
Rating: 1/2*

Danny Doring vs. Julio Dinero

This one started off with the crowd behind Doring all the way, but, that didn't stop Dinero from using everything in his arsenal to get ahead. Doring, not to be outdone, came back to even the score with some less than legal tactics of his own. The match went outside the ring when Dinero sent Doring over the top rope with a clothesline, then followed him out by hitting Danny with a slingshot tope. Unfortunately for Dinero, he hit his head on the floor and busted himself open. After getting back in the ring, the action went back & forth with neither getting an advantage. With his frustration growing, Dinero once again took the match to the arena floor. This time, Dinero was able to gain the advantage & hold on to it. Sending Doring crashing into the ringsteps, Dinero then hit an STO on the floor. After rolling Doring back into teh ring, Dinero hit the Jalapeno Popper for a hard fought win.

Julio Dinero pinned Danny Doring with the Jalapeno Popper in 0:17:29.

More footage is shown from last week of Sean Waltman & Supreme facing Axl Rotten & Rob Van Dam in the Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Rob Van Dam vs. Supreme

RVD had the crowd going wild as soon as he stepped through the entranceway. Supreme however, had other plans as he ran up the runway to meet Van Dam starting this match where last week's main event left off: on the arena floor. They brawled all the way to ringside & into the ring itself, where Van Dam would gain control. That wouldn't last as Supreme got the upper hand back & threw Van Dam back out of the ring. After tossing RVD into the guard rails & ringsteps, Supreme seemed happy to take the countout victory as he climbed into the ring & instructed the ref to keep counting. Van Dam recovered quickly enough, but, instead of just getting back in the ring, he went under it to pull out a table. Sliding the table into the ring, Van Dam was now armed with one of his favorite weapons. RVD would try a few different tactics to put Supreme through the table, but, "The Human Horror Film" would counter each attempt. Ironicly, it would be Supreme that put Van Dam through the very table he brought into play with the Mecca Toad Splash. But instead of going for the cover, Supreme wanted to dish out more punishment. The crowd roared in disapproval as Supreme continued his assault on RVD, but, cheered when Van Dam managed to fight back. Too bad for Van Dam that the splash through the table took so much out of him, as he was never fully able to get Supreme on the run. Supreme was able to score a couple more near-falls on Van Dam, but it wasn't until he hit a second MEcca Toad Splash that he was ale to put the former multi time champion away for a 3 count.

Supreme pinned Rob Van Dam with the Mecca Toad Splash in 0:12:00.
Rating: ** 1/2

Footage is shown from last week of Cryme Tyme winning the GWR Tag Team Title.

For The GWR Tag Team Title:
Cryme Tyme (c ) vs. Andrew Martin & BJ Whitmer

Tonight's main event had all the makings to be as great as last week's tag team title tournament final. This time looking to avenge the controversial loss from last week, Martin & Whitmer came out fighting, trying to pick up a quick win. But, Cryme Tyme were up to the task of fighting back the challengers as big Shad stood toe to toe with Martin exchanging punches. It was when Martin tagged in Whitmer that things started to really go the challengers' way. Whitmer's speed was too much for Shad to deal with this time. When JTG got back into the match, the champions took back control of the match. JTG & Whitmer battled outside the ring (seems like the theme of the night), but, the challengers would not back down. The crowd was solidly behind Martin & specially Whitmer, who came close on several occations to pinning JTG for the titles. The challengers had everything going there way, until, Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens came down to the ring. As Chase distracted the referee, Douglas attacked Whitmer with a chair on the outside rendering him unconcious. As Martin tried to tend to his downed partner, JTG snuck up & hit the Running Front Flip Neckbreaker to retain the championship.

Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) defeated Andrew Martin and BJ Whitmer when JTG pinned Martin with the Running Front Flip Neckbreaker in 0:24:01.

After the match:
The Naturals assault on Whitmer continues until Martin recovers & gets out of the ring to come to the aid of his partner. The Naturals flee before Martin can strike, and the camera cuts away to the "Mind Storm" montage.
Supreme: Rob Van Dam, tonight, I gave you your first lesson in what the word "extreme" is all about. Next week, will be lesson #2.
Andrew Martin: (with BJ Whitmer) Naturals, you cost us the tag team titles. Now, it's time for you to take your punishment.
Shad Gaspard: (with JTG) Yo G, I told you that no one would take the gold from us.
JTG: The party ain't even begun yet because Cryme Tyme is comin' back again. And we gonna get more o' dat money money yeah yeah.
Both: Money. Money. Yeah. Yeah.
Andy Douglas: Andrew Martin, BJ Whitmer, you 2 never deserved a shot at those belts to begin with. All we did was speed up the inevitable.
Chase Stevens: You want to try & "punish" us? Bring it on boys. It'll be your funeral.
Axl Rotten: Sean Waltman, I warned you last week that if you got into the ring with me I would pound you into dust. But you just wouldn't listen. You must be one sick S.O.B. since I've been told you want to do it again next week. Well, I like sick S.O.B.s. And since I'm one myself, I'm happy to beat you down one more time.
Sean Waltman: Axl Rotten wants to call me sick. He thinks I can't get enough of a beating. Maybe he's right. But, I'm not gonna go down easy. And before it's all said & done; I'm gonna take this whole company with me.
Rob Van Dam: Supreme, you did what you said. You showed me just how extreme you can be. Now you say you've got another lesson lined up for next week. Well, I've got a something I can teach you too. (brings a chair into frame) It's called "Vandaminator 101" and I hope you're a slow learner so I can repeat it over & over.

Next Week:

BJ Whitmer & Andrew Martin vs. The Naturals
BLKOUT vs. The Harris Brothers
Rob Van Dam & Axl Rotten vs. Sean Waltman & Supreme

Rating: ** 1/4

After the match:
Mack refused to release the hold on Doring. Referees & officials tried to pull Mack off, but, none could break his grip. It wasn't until Christian York rushed the ring with a chair to save his friend that Mack released the hold. But, it took all the refs, officials, & Jazz to keep the 2 men apart as we go to the first break.

After the break, order is restored & footage is shown from last week of the debut of The Harris Brothers.

The Harris Brothers (Ron Harris and Don Harris) and BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) battled to a double countout in 0:16:16.

The fight between the 2 teams continue to brawl through the crowd as we head to our next break.

Back from the break, new backstage interviewer: Trinity is with Luke Hawx.
Trinity: Luke, earlier tonight we saw your opponent for tonight, Christian York, come to the aid of Danny Doring. And then almost get into it with your part-time tag team partner: Rodney Mack.
Luke: You know Trinity, I don't know what that boy was thinkin' first signing up for a match against me. Then risking his career by tryin' to get in The Dogg's face. Well, I've talked to Jazz & I got her to get The Dogg out of the building so I can take care of York on my own. Tonight, he's in store from some good ol' fashion Southern Stompin'!

Christian York pinned Luke Hawx with the Moonsault in 0:15:03.

Nova pinned Julio Dinero with the Kryptonite Krunch in 0:07:55.
Rating: ** 3/4

After the match:
The Blue Meanie comes to the ring to help his partner celebrate. The crowd chants "BWO, BWO" as the 2 strike poses like the men that they parody.

Trinity is backstage with Sean Waltman & Supreme.
Trinity: Okay guys, last week you split your respective matches with Axl Rotten & Rob Van Dam. And 2 weeks ago, the 4 of you had an out of control tag team match that saw them getting the better of you.
Sean Waltman: Maybe you better shut your mouth before one of us does it for you. Two weeks ago, they got lucky. Last week, Axl Rotten needed weapons to beat me. And as for everybody's hero: RVD, well, let's just say he got taken to a new level of extreme.
Supreme: Van Dam thinks he's the whole show? He think's he's a highlight reel? Well last week, he was crushed by the feature length horror film. And tonight, if I have to, I will bleed him dry.
The 2 walk off & as we head to our final break, the camera cuts to Axl Rotten & Rob Van Dam discussing strategy as they walk to hall.

Sean Waltman and Supreme defeated Axl Rotten and Rob Van Dam when Waltman pinned RVD with the X-Factor in 0:13:30.
Rating: ** 3/4

After the match:
Waltman & Supreme hurry up the runway as Van Dam & Rotten corner referee Chris Cloud about the questionable & seemingly fast count he made on Van Dam. When he tries to stand up for himself, Rotten shoves Cloud to the mat. Cloud gets back up and tries to shove Rotten back, exclaiming that he's an offiial & Rotten can't touch him. Rotten looks out to the crowd, then to Van Dam. The two smile at eachother & then both hit Cloud with right hands, sending him crashing to the canvas. Rotten picks him back up and delivers a DDT to the stunned referee as Van Dam scales the turnbuckle. As Cloud's back hits the mat yet again, Van Dam comes off the top & hits the 5 Star Frog Splash on the now unconcious official much to the crowd's approval. The camera cuts away as the 2 celebrate in the ring to the "Mind Storm" montage.

"Hollywood" Nova: Well you know something, brother! The bWo is ready for our shot at the tag team titles, brother. And next week, dude, there's only one question left for Cryme Tyme to answer. Whatcha gonna do brothers, when the bWo takes your belts & runs wild on you? (poses like Hulk Hogan)
Christian York: (his back facing the camera) You see that name? It's says York. As in Christian York. I ain't some gimmick heavy wannabe. I ain't some over the hill never was. Some call me underrated. Some call me forgotten. Some call me overlooked. But after next week, I am gonna make everybody stand up & take notice.
Supreme: Rob Van Dam, Axl Rotten, this war between us is far from over. I'm the personification of the word extreme. I've been set on fire, put through tables, hit with light bulbs, had my flesh torn to ribbons by barbwire, and I keep coming back for more. (looks down) Some say I'm sick, twisted, and just plain bizarre. (looks back up with a sick grin) And I like it.Ron Harris: Ruckus, Sabian, if you 2 midgets want another piece of me & my brother, all you got to do is show up. We don't care if it's next week in the ring, in the parking lot, in the airport, or anywhere else. We're gonna squash you 2 like the cockroaches you are.
Sean Waltman: (holding a lit candle) How'd it feel Rob? How'd it feel when I drove your head into the mat & pinned your shoulders 1, 2, 3? Oh I know how you feel Rob. You feel that burn deep in your stomach. You feel that flame of desire in your soul. The heat of competition in your veins. Well it's gonna build everytime we're in the ring & I beat you. And soon, you're just gonna burn out. (blows out the candle)
Shad Gaspard: bWO, you want a shot at our belts. Well bring it on son. You got to bring ass to get it. And we gonna bring it real good. See, we don't like nobody. Sometimes (points at JTG) I don't even like him that much. But its all about the money, money yeah yeah.
(JTG joins the chant) Together: Money. Money. Yeah. Yeah.
The Blue Meanie: (speaking with a bad spanish accent) First chu get the gold. Then chu get the money. Then chu get the power. (flicks his toothpick at the camera)
Axl Rotten: Supreme, you think anything you've been through can match up to the things I've done? Chairshots? Tables? Fire? Barbwire? Been there, done that. You think you're bad because you were a part of some "Johnny come lately" company in Cali? I was with the real deal, the original. I grew up fighting in the streets. I bled from Baltimore to the Bay. YOu're just upset because the people see you for what you truly are: an Axl Rotten wannabe.
Rob Van Dam: Sean Waltman, it's time you realized what's going on here. I mean, I predicted that I could beat you before I ever met you. And for nezxt week, I'm predicting that you're gonna go down faster than when you used to drop on your knees in front of Hall & Nash. But I'm gonna do your buddies a favor. I'm gonna kick your teeth down your throat so that it smooths out the ride. Why? Because I'm that kind of guy. Because I'm (points at himself) ROB VAN  DAM.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: FEBRUARY 2, 2008
LOCATION: THE THOMPSON-BOLING ARENA, THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE, KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE

Kevin Kelly: On the eve of the most highly antisipated Superbowls in recent history, tonight the GWR comes to you live from the University of Tennessee's Thompson-Boling Arena, here in beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee.
JIm Neidhart: That's right baby, and just like tomorrow night's big game is going to be the thing to watch, tonight's main event between Rob Van Dam & Sean Waltman is gonna be off the hook, daddy!
Kevin Kelly: These 2 have some history that goes back not only just to the debut of GWR Saturday Night, but, rumor has it that these 2 have some deep rooted resentment that dates back a long way. One thing is for sure, this one will be explosive. That big main event plus, tonight starts the qualifying matches for a tournament to determine the first GWR Heavyweight Champion.
As soon as Kelly finishes his sentence, the opening video plays. After the video is done, we are taken straight to the ring for the opening match.

Andrew Martin defeated Julio Dinero by disqualification in 0:10:21.
Rating: *

Dinero thought he could use his wrestling prowess to counter anything that Martin could throw at him, but, Martin's own surprising combination of speed, power, & wrestling ability kept Dinero at bay. Martin was in firm control of the match when Dinero sensed that the end was near. In an act of sheer desperation, Dinero pulled referee Mike Sparks in the way as Martin charged at him with for a clothesline. Unable to stop himself, Martin hit the official & laid him out. That still wasn't enough for Dinero to stop Martin as the 2 kept fighting as Sparks recovered, calling for the bell & disqualifying Dinero.

When the show returns from it's first break, a quick video package is shown of the past 2 weeks highlighting the matches between BLKOUT & The Harris Brothers.

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:

Hawx continued to stomp & assault York until officials flooded the ring to drive him off. Just before we head to another break, the camera cuts backstage to catch an alterication between The Harris Brothers & GWR Tag Team Champions: Cryme Tyme. The 2 teams are exchanging blows as officials & agents try to seperate them. The camera cuts away & we head to commercial.

We come back from the break just as The bWo is being introduced. Nova & Meanie come to the ring to a loud ovation. Kevin Kelly explains that even though The bWo wanted this match to be for the title, it was decided at the last second that Cryme Tyme will defend the belts against The Harris Brothers next week.

Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) defeated The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) when S. Gaspard pinned Nova with the Spinebuster Slam in 0:15:49.

[Don Harris interfered against JTG.]
[Ron Harris interfered against Nova.]

Both Harris Brothers could not wait until next week for another chance to get at the GWR Tag Team Champions, so they took it upon themselves to try & take out both teams. We are thrust to another break as we watch all 3 teams brawl around ringside & back up the runway.

Back from the break, we are taken backstage to Trinity.
Trinity: I'm here right now with Aaron "The Idol" Stevens. Aaron, up next you've got a GWR Heavyweight Title Tournament Qualifying match with BJ Whitmer. A man that has spent the last 3 weeks in tag team competition. Earlier we saw your partner, Julio Dinero, face Andrew Martin; who just happens to be BJ's partner. (Stevens interupts)
Aaron Stevens: You know, contrary to popular belief, what my partner does on his own time, and who he faces in a single's match is completely his business. Unless he asks me for my assistance, I keep out of his business & he keeps out of mine. Now, just because we just happen to be facing 2 guys that just happen to be partners, doesn't mean a thing. It's just a conicidence made by the guys that hold the pencils that make the matches. And now, BJ Whitmer is just going to have to face the fact that he's going to get on his knees & worship this Idol on his way to the top.

GWR Heavyweight Title Tournament Qualifier:
Aaron Stevens pinned BJ Whitmer with the Downer in 0:12:44.
Rating: ** 1/4

Back from the break, Luke Hawx is already in the ring awaiting the arrival of his opponent.

After the break footage is shown of the rivalry between Sean Waltman & Rob Van Dam.

Rob Van Dam pinned Sean Waltman with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:07:42.
Rating: *** 1/4
[Supreme interfered against Rob Van Dam.]

Even with Supreme's help, Waltman could not over come RVD. But, when the match ended, Supreme's assault hit full force. Both Waltman & Supreme beat down Van Dam until Axl Rotten charged the ring with his signature steel chair. Rotten chased both men off and helped Van Dam to his feet as we head into the "Mind Storm" montage.
Aaron Stevens: Another step toward greatness. Another step on the path to the top. Soon all will bow before "The Idol".
Christian York: Just like I said, I'm on my way to the top & everyone is taking notice. In just afew more short weeks, there will be only one Christian on the collective mind of the wrestling world. And that's Chirstian York.
Julio Dinero: Andrew Martin, while you may be happy with squeaking by with a dq, I assure you that I am not.  I will get my revenge and you will be the one that gets "punished".
Luke Hawx:  I'm gonna stomp my way to the top, and there's not a man alive that can stop me from getting that GWR Title.
Shad Gaspard: Atlanta, Georgia, The ATL, next week, Cryme Tyme is coming. Harris Brothers, you want what we got? You want our belts? Well, you 2 over grown skinheads better be prepared for the fight of your lives. The 90's ended & the present is passing you by. It's our time now. These belts belong to Cryme Tyme and we will do anything to keep 'em.
Supreme: Someone has to lose. Some one has pay. Someone has to bleed. Axl Rotten, next week, that someone is you.
Axl Rotten: (wrapping his fore arm in a strand of barbwire) Blood, sweat, & barbwire. Supreme, you & I both know just how painful this is gonna be. The only question is: How much can you take before you give in to Severe Skull Trauma?
Rob Van Dam: Once again, Rob Van Dam delivers the goods. It's only a matter of time before before I get my hands on some gold and start what should be another highlight reel filled with championship victories. And with that, they'll be lining up around the block just to get a shot at (points at himself) R-V-D.

Great card. Love the line-up and looking forward to the next show.
wicked_rexPosted on 02/06/08 at 04:43:15

This may seem like an odd question, but how do you determine who and why to change the heat on certain wrestlers? And, how exactly do you do that?
JustinCaseYouForgotPosted on 02/06/08 at 09:55:44

I'm running the "Put Up Or Shut UP" What If scenario. In it the starting heat values are altered (it's in the discussion section). All the other heat changes after the first show are automatic. I just go with whatever is given to me.

Aaron Stevens: You see, BJ Whitmer got a first hand taste of what it's like to face "The Idol". He took that loss so hard that he didn't even show up here tonight. In 2 weeks, I plan on walking out with the GWR Title firmly in my grasp, because there's not a man alive that can beat me. (Rob Van Dam walks into frame.) You got somethin' to say?
Rob Van Dam: Actually, yeah I do. I'm gonna cut right to the chase and put it in terms that everybody should be able to understand. You say that there's not a man alive that can beat you right? (Stevens shakes his head in agreement.) Then how about you put your money where your mouth is & put that spot in the tournament up against me tonight? (Stevens looks shocked.)
Aaron Stevens: I worked damn hard for that spot & you just want me to put it up like it was nothing?
Rob Van Dam: Hey it's cool, you know. I mean, if you're too much of a pussy...
Aaron Stevens: Pussy??! Who the hell do you think you are? You want your ass beat that bad. You're on! (Stevens storms off.)

Trinity: Danny, it's been a long time since you've been in a title hunt. Last week your chances were cut short by Luke Hawx. But, up next, you get a second chance against Sean Waltman.
Danny Doring: You're right Trin, I've been kept away from titles too long. Sidetracked by feuds with former partners on the indys, screwed out of matches here & there, it's all been down hill for me. But tonight that all changes. Tonight, I put Sean Waltman in his place & get back to business.

Aaron Stevens: I told you all, there was no one here that can stop me from reaching the top. Even the great Rob Van Dam couldn't get the job done. You all need to get on your knees to worship this "Idol".
The Blue Meanie (with Nova): Cryme Tyme got past the Harris Brothers. How are we going to be able to beat them? What are we gonna do?
Andrew Martin: All that stand in my way will be put to the test. In 2 weeks I will stand on top of the mountain as champion. Let all that oppose me be ready for their punishment.
Nova (with The Meanie): It's not what are we gonna do against Cryme Tyme, brother. It's Cryme Tyme, What are you gonna dowhen "Hollywood" & The Blue Guy run wild on you? (points at the camera & then poses)
Rob Van Dam: Sean Waltman, you must be real proud of yourself. You finally got 1 over on RVD. But make no mistake about it, I won't forget what you did and I won't let you get away with it for long. I already know I can beat you. I already know I'm better than you. And when I find a way to get that GWR Title, you will know just what it mean to be totally defeated by (points to himself) R-V-D.

Kevin Kelly: Ladies & gentlemen, the GWR comes to you tonight from the "Biggest Little City In The World" Reno, Nevada. And tonight is the last chance for one man to qualify for next week's GWR Heavyweight Title Tournament.
Jim Neidhart: Not only that, Kevin, but, tonight we will six of the seven men that have already qualified in action. "The Punisher" Andrew Martin will take on "The Badd Dogg" Rodeny Mack. Kevin Kelly: Not only that but in our main event; 11 of the men that have either failed to qualify or have yet to recieve shot will all get their chance in an over the top rope Royal Rumble match. The last man standing will be in next week's Heavyweight Title Tournament.
Jim Neidhart: Those 3 matches alone would normally be enough to get any fan's attention, but, there is so much more on tonight's show, we need to head up to the ring right now so we can fit it all in.

Aaron Stevens: You know Trin, you're not saying anything that isn't common knowledge. Christian York, he's pretty accomplished wrestler. He's made alittle name for himself out there. And who doesn't know the name of Axl Rotten? Or the reputation that comes along with it? But nothing is going to stop me from competing next week & taking that gold home. I mean, I'm the man that beat Rob Van Dam last week, in record time. And I did it all by myself.
Trinity: But didn't Sean Waltman...
Aaron Stevens: ALL BY MYSELF! I pinned him. I got my hand raised. And if good ol' RVD gets into the tournament through some miracle, I'm prepared to do it all over again.

Trinity: Supreme, earlier tonight you suffered what can only be concidered an upset at the hands of Sabian. Does this affect your chances in the Royal Rumble up next?
Supreme: It was just a minor set back. Just because some midget got one over on me, doesn't mean that I'm washed up. I'm gonna go out there, regardless of what number I get, and I'm not going to stop until I get that last spot in the tournament. Then, it's just a matter of time before that gold is around my waist.

Before the Rumble match starts, Kevin Kelly runs down the pairings for next week's tournament:

Rating: *** 1/2

As soon as the match ends, the camera cuts away to the "Mind Storm" montage.
Luke Hawx: One week off, I'm the best rested man going into this tournament. Well, at least I would be if the woemn would stop knockin' down my door & keepin' me up all night. But just as hard as I play, I'll work that much harder to take the GWR Title next week.
Andrew Martin: One man will walk out with the ultimate prize. Seven others will suffer the punishment of defeat.
Rodney Mack: They say every dog has will have it's day. Next week, I'll be the top dog in the yard when I take the biggest bone in the GWR: the Heavyweight Title.
Aaron Stevens: RVD, I beat you once already. I have nothing to prove to you. Next week, you'll be just a small speed bump on my road to the title. And once again you'll be on the ground worshipping the one true "Idol".
Shad Gaspard: Nova, Meanie, you boys think you're bad 'cuz you beat us tonight? Well you had better be ready for the fight of your lives if you think you can take our belts. You think that you're bad 'cuz you came from some back alley bingo hall? We grew up on the streets. We lived on the sidewalks. And we gonna bleed you dry when we get in the ring again.
Christian York: One more week, one more match, one more victory. Everytime the critics say I'm done, Christian York rises to the occation. No one's giving me a chance to win that title. But, I'm full of surprises & my bag of tricks is far from empty.
Sean Waltman: Somebody needs to tell the other 7 guys in the tournament that they shouldn't even bother showing up next week. All they'll get is disapointed when I walk out with the gold.
Nova: No more games, no more laughs, no more impressions. Cryme Tyme, your time is running out for your title reign. The bWo is taking over. We beat you once, we'll do it again. In the streets, in the ring, anytime, anyplace. We've got your number, and we're taking your titles.
Axl Rotten: Another step in the right direction. Another victim on my way to the top. Just as predicted, it's gonna be a Rotten year for the GWR.
Rob Van Dam: Aaron Stevens likes to brag that he's beat me. So what? I've lost before & come back stronger. Next week, round 1, he'll get another chance to make lightning strike. And Sean Waltman says that everybody else should just stay home. Well, I guess that's the only way he figures he has a chance to win. It's just too bad that next week we won't be in Vegas, because everybody knows where the smart money should go when it comes to who's going to win that tournament & take home the gold. The odds are just right & your best bet, as always, is (points to himself) R-V-D.

The opening video plays & the broadcast team of Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart welcome everyone to tonight's show. Kelly hypes up the first match & a video package is shown of how each of the 2 men got into the #1 contender's match.

Number-One-Contenders-Match:
Aaron Stevens pinned Andrew Martin with the Downer in 0:17:07.
Rating: ***
[Julio Dinero interfered against Andrew Martin.]

After the match; Dinero & Stevens continue their assault on Martin until officials pulls them off, sending us to the break.

When we come back from commercial, Trinity is backstage with a pair of guests for an interview.
Trinity: My guests at this time are teaming up for the first time tonight: BJ Whitmer & Christian York. (York & Whitmer walk into frame from opposite sides of Trinity) Guys, up next you're facing a team that has been in the ring with both of you on different occations: Luke Hawx & Rodney Mack.
Christian York: Well, it's no secret that Luke & I have our own rivalry going, but, when you factor in his tag team partner, there's no way one man can fight them both alone. So, I had to find someone to help me out that's just as tough as the so-called "Badd Dogg".
BJ Whitmer: That's right. I've gone up against Luke & Rodney Mack before, and I've come out on top. So who better to help Christian out than "The Hangman"? And now tonight, after taking off last week to get my head together, I'm back & ready for anything that those 2 boys from the bayou have to throw at us.

BJ Whitmer and Christian York defeated Luke Hawx and Rodney Mack when Whitmer pinned R. Mack with the Wrist Clutch Exploder in 0:14:12.
Rating: **

Whitmer & York celebrate in the ring as we head into another break.

Danny Doring pinned Supreme with the Bareback in 0:14:26.
Rating: ** 3/4

Back from the break and Trinity is backstage, this time with the new #1 Contender to the GWR Heavyweight Title: Aaron "The Idol" Stevens.
Trinity: Aaron Stevens, earlier tonight you became the new #1 contender to Rob Van Dam's GWR Heavyweight Title...
Aaron Stevens: Thank you Ms. Obvious. (chuckles) Seriously though Trin, you know I love you. It's Rob Van Dam that I can't stand. He walks around here with that gold belt thinking he's so damn great. Well, I beat him before in under a minute, and next week, I'm gonna take that gold & put it right where it belongs: around my waist. And then there will be no doubt in anyone's mind who the best really is. And who knows, maybe I'll let you be my manager when I take the title. (Trinity smiles as Stevens walks off)

BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) and Rob Van Dam defeated The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) and Austin Aries when Ruckus pinned C. Stevens with the
Hate Crime in 0:10:14.
Rating: ** 1/2

Footage is shown form last week of The bWo becoming the #1 contenders to Cryme Tyme's GWR Tag Team Title.

The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) defeated Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) when Meanie pinned JTG after the Blue Light Special in 0:10:39.
Rating: **
(The bWo won the GWR Tag Team Title.)

As Nova & Meanie celebrate in the ring with their newly won championships, the crowd chants " B-W-O, B-W-O". The new champs pose with the belts in the ring as the camera cuts away to the "Mind Storm" montage.
Andrew Martin: Julio Dinero, you stepped in the way of my destiny. But you made one fatal mistake: you didn't finish me off. Sooner or later I will get my hands on you, and you will pay for putting your nose in my business. You won't know where, you won't know where, but, you're punishment will come.
Aaron Stevens: It's down to just a matter of days Rob Van Dam. Seven to be precise. Seven days & your championship reign comes to an abrupt end. Then "The Idol" will take his place at the top & all will bow at my feet.
Andy Douglas: (with Chase Stevens) Ruckus, Sabian, this has gone on long enough. Our 2 teams are too evenly matched. So next week, let's see who has more balls. (holds up a thick chain) Double dog collars,
Julio Dinero: Oooo, I'm sooo scared. "The Punisher" is gonna spank me. Or maybe he'll send me to my room. First things first Andrew, you have to catch me. And even if you manage to get ahold of me, you still have to beat me.
Ruckus: (with Sabian) Naturals, you boys think we're afraid of some chains? Our people suffered in chains for generations. Next week, we're gonna return the favor.
Rob Van Dam: What is there to say? Next week, Aaron Stevens, Rob Van Dam, GWR Title.
Nova: (with The Blue Meanie) We did it brother! We went to the mountain, and we made that climb. Now we're on top, lookin' down dude. There's no limits to where we can go. The bWo is gonna run wild forever man. So all the other teams out there need to ask themselves: Whatcha gonna do, when The Blue World Order destroys you?

Trinity is backstage with Julio Dinero.
Trinity: Julio Dinero, last week you helped Aaron Stevens defeat Andrew Martin to become the #1 Contender to Rob Van Dam's Heavyweight Title. Be honest; aren't you alittle nervous that "The Punisher" is gonna be looking for revenge?
Julio Dinero: Nervous? Me? COme on Trinity, I'm Julio Dinero. There is no way that anybody, especially Andrew Martin, can make me nervous.
Trinity: Then why not face him tonight, instead of avoiding his challenge to face him one on one?
Julio Dinero: Because Andrew Martin is a nobody. He doesn't deserve to be in the ring with me. I'm too cool, too smart, & just too good to waste my time on someone so low. He just can't handle the fact that I'm Julio Dinero, and he's not. (Dinero walks off.)

Nova pinned Julio Dinero with the Kryptonite Krunch in 0:08:17.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: MARCH 22, 2008
LOCATION: THE CASPER EVENTS CENTER, CASPER, WYOMING

Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart welcome everyone to the show & run down some of the feature matches for tonight's broadcast. As they finish up, The Naturals' music plays as Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens make their way to the ring for our first match.

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Towel Match:
Andy Douglas (w/Chase Stevens) defeated Sabian (w/Ruckus) with a choke against the ropes in 0:34:49.
Rating: ***

Both men traded submission holds & even finishing moves in this hard fought opener that spanned a few commercial breaks. At one point, the referee got caught between Douglas & Sabian as they crashed into the corner & had to be replaced by a stand-by official. The match ended when Douglas took the towel from his partner & used it to choke out Sabian, forcing Ruckus to throw in his towel to save his partner.

Aaron Stevens pinned Danny Doring with the Downer in 0:06:58.
Rating: ** 1/2

Stevens, coming off a hard loss last week, looked to have a renewed fire against Doring, who hasn't had much luck in single's here in GWR. But, Doring didn't make it easy as he stood toe to toe with "The Idol" when the action spilled outside the ring. But, in the end, Stevens was able to pick up the victory when he hit the Downer. Doring protested that he felt the count was quick, and when shown on the replay, both Kelly & Neidhart agreed. Unfortunately, the referee's discision is final & it will go down as another loss for Doring tonight.

Back from the break, a video is shown from 2 weeks ago of Julio Dinero costing Andrew Martin a shot at the GWR Heavyweight Title. After the video, Martin makes his way to the ring.
Andrew Martin: Julio Dinero, you gutless coward, it's time you stop running & face your punishment like a man. (Dinero's music hits & he steps out onto the runway with a mic of his own.)
Julio Dinero: Andrew, Andrew, Andrew, do you really think that I'm going to make it that easy for you to get your hands on me? Let's just say that the games have only just begun. You see, I'm going to set up a few little "roadblocks" in your path to get to me, starting tonight.
Just then, Cryme Tyme come through the crowd & attack Martin from behind. The referee calls for the bell & the next match is underway.

Handicap-Match:
Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) defeated Andrew Martin when JTG pinned Martin after the G 9 in 0:11:10.
Rating: * 1/2

Even though they jumped him from behind, Andrew Martin was able to fight Cryme Tyme back & force them to regroup. Martin tried to isolate the smaller JTG from his partner, but, Shad Gaspard used the "handicap" rules to his team's advantage & the 2 double teamed "The Punisher" mercilessly. Everytime Martin started to gain an advantage on one member of Cryme Tyme, the other would cut him down and take control right back. At one point, Martin actually gained a near fall on JTG, but, Shad was there to break the pin before the ref counted 2. It was just after that, that Shad lifted Martin onto his shoulders & JTG hit the G-9 for the win.

Before the next match, a highlight video is shown from earlier tonight of the Towel match between Andy Douglas & Sabian.

Ruckus pinned Chase Stevens with the Hate Crime in 0:13:24.
Rating: ***

Ruckus was out for revenge for his partner from earlier tonight, and he found it in a big way. Chase Stevens seemed off his game as Ruckus came at him from all angles. Whether it was flying off the turnbuckles, or srpringing off the ropes, Stevens had almost no way to counter Ruckus' unorthodox offense. And with both their partners getting medical attention from their brutal match earlier, both were on their own. Ruckus lost control of the match for afew moments outside the ring, but, quickly regained the momentum when he sprung from the ring apron onto Stevens. When Ruckus hit the Hate Crime for the win, he evened the score in this rivalry for the night, but, it was clear that this war is far from over.

Austin Aries and Julio Dinero defeated BJ Whitmer and Rob Van Dam when Dinero pinned Whitmer with the Jalapeno Popper in 0:17:37.
Rating: **** 1/4

Four of the hottest stars in GWR faced off in this match. The cocky duo of Austin Aries & Julio Dinero took the fight straight to the tough as nails BJ Whitmer & the seemingly unstoppable R-V-D. Double teaming would be the main strategy of Dinero & Aries, where Van Dam & Whitmer would rely more on wrestling technique & high impact offense. Not to say that Dinero & Aries didn't show their vast abilities, Aries came at Whitmer with an arial attack that kept the larger of the 2 at bay. But, it was RVD's own arial offense that put Aries in his place. The end came when RVD flew over the top rope onto Aries, who was standing on the arena floor, Whitmer, along with the referee turned to check on their condition & this allowed Dinero to sneek up & hit the Jalapeno Popper for the win.

The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) defeated Luke Hawx and Supreme when Meanie pinned Luke with the Meaniesault in 0:20:31.
Rating: ** 3/4
(The bWo retained the GWR Tag Team Title.)

This was the first tile defense for Nova & The Meanie & they meant to hold onto the gold, whatever it took. But the 2 former Deathmatch Champions would not go down easy. Luke would match his skills & high flying ability with Nova. And Supreme & Meanie could almost match up in girth. But it would be the experience of the champions that would make the difference. While Luke & Supreme have faced off against each other in the past, this was the first time the 2 ever teamed up. The champs used double teaming to take control & used the art of distraction to keep the referee out of position long enough to keep it. And it would be that double teaming that kept the titles in the camp of the b.W.o. When Nova & & Meanie double slammed Luke, following it up with a devestating Meaniesault, The b.W.o proved that they are deserving champions.

Nova & Meanie celebrate in the ring as we go off the air.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: MARCH 29, 2008
LOCATION: THE HOLMES CENTER, BOONE, NORTH CAROLINA

Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart welcome everyone to tonight's broadcast. Immediately after, a video is shown from last week of Andrew Martin's valiant, yet futile, attempt to take on both members of Cryme Tyme by himself. After the video, teh participants for our opening match are on their way to the ring.

Andrew Martin and BJ Whitmer defeated Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) when Martin pinned JTG with the Pumphandle Powerslam in 0:09:48.
Rating: ** 1/4

With the odds even this week, it was a completely different story for Andrew Martin. Whitmer & Martin worked together like a well oiled machine, despite the fact that they hadn't teamed in weeks. When the match spilled to the arena floor, neither team could gain an advantage, but, it would be when the action got back in the ring when Whitmer's wrestling ability stood out & he & Martin could regain control for the remainder of the match & secure a win over the former Tag Team Champions.

Christian York defeated Rodney Mack by disqualification in 0:08:20.
Rating: * 1/2
[Jazz interfered against Christian York.]

York, while the smaller of the 2 men, had control of the match early on. The technically sound York, started out using a high flying & technical assault on Mack. But, the larger man started to shake off some of the moves, and York found himself being hoisted up & tossed to the ringside floor. Normally, Mack would be the main aggressor when it comes to an arena floor brawl, however this time, York took over the fight & smashed Mack's head into the ringpost. York's vast arsenal of holds kept Mack at bay, That is, until Jazz mae her presense felt by tripping York as he bound off the ropes at the fallen Mack. The momentary distraction was just enough to give "The Badd Dogg" enough time to recover & mount an ambush on York. Mack continued to control the pace for the next few minutes. Even though her man had control, Jazz again tripped up York after Mack sent him into the ropes. This time the referee figured he had seen enough, deciding to call for the bell & disqualify Mack for the interference. Mack & Jazz argued with eachother over the call, forgetting about York as he celebrated half-heartedly on the runway.

A video is shown of the match between Danny Doring & Aaron Stevens form last week. After the video, Aaron Stevens is with Trinity in the interview position.
Trinity talks to "The Idol" about his victory over Doring last week. She mentions how it was Doring's protests to officials that sparked this rematch. Stevens comments on how he feels that Doring is just an overrated crybaby that should quit while he's behind. Stevens, then changes the subject & reminds Trinity of his hinting about the possibilty of her managing him in the near future. Trinity smiles at the thought & Stevens heads to the ring for the next match.

Aaron Stevens and Danny Doring battled to a double countout in 0:08:46.
Rating: * 1/2

Doring came at Stevens hard in the opening minute to knock "The Idol" off balance. Stevens tried to use every dirty trick he knew, but, Doring beat him to the punch on several occations due to his vast "Extreme" experiences. Doring quickly took this to teh floor & both men battled back & forth around the ringside area, with nieither getting a clear advantage. Soon, the referee had no choice but to call for the bell when he reached 10 after what can only be concidered a long count. The 2 continued to trade punches as they headed to the back, officials trying to seperate them the entire way.

A video is shown of the rivalry between BLKOUT & The Naturals, including footage from last week's towel match between Sabian & Andy Douglas.

BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) and Axl Rotten defeated The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) and Austin Aries when Ruckus  pinned C. Stevens with the
Hate Crime in 0:16:13.
Rating: ** 3/4

For the first 7 minutes or so of this 6 man tag match, Ruckus & Sabian would only tag out to eachother, as all 3 of their opponents saw multiple times between the ropes. When he was finally brought into the match, Axl Rotten made sure to use the fact that he was the biggest man in the match to his advantage. He tossed around Austin Aries like a rag doll. Even when Chase Stevens tried to help Aries, Rotten's size proved to be too much for any of his opponents. After softening up all 3 members of the opposing team, Rotten tagged back out to Ruckus. When Ruckus got in the ring, Sabian quickly joined him & the 2 double teamed, worked over both members of The Naturals. When the ref forced Sabian to leave the ring, it gave Ruckus time to hit the Hate Crime to pick up the win for his team.

Footage is shown from last week of the GWR Tag Team Title match of The b.W.o. taking on the makeshift team of Supreme & Luke Hawx.

The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) defeated Luke Hawx and Supreme when Meanie pinned Supreme after the Blue Light Special in 0:18:51.
Rating: ***

This one went kind of backwards, as last week Supreme & Hawx had a chance to capture the GWR Tag Team Title. Now this week's match is a non-title contest. The Blue Meanie nearly ended this one in the first 2 minutes when he hit Hawx with the Meaniesault, but, the youngester from Louisiana showed great heart by kicking out at 2 1/2. Supreme & Hawx fought with everything they had, as if the title was on the line, but it wouldn't be enough. All the brawling that Supreme is known for helped only momentarily as both members of The b.W.o. brought their "bingohall best" to put him down. The end came when Meanie set up to hit Supreme with the Meaniesault. He changed his mind as he reached the top turnbuckle, calling for Nova to enter the ring & lift Supreme. Meanie then hit the Blue Light Special to pin "The Human Horror Film" and show the kind of dominance that champions are to be known for.

Backstage, GWR Heavyweight Champion: Rob Van Dam is being interveiwed by Trinity.
Trinity asks RVD if he's at all alittle apprehesive about taking on the man that won their tag match last week; Juio Dinero. Van Dam stayed confident that he would prevail easily in their match up next. He even went so far as to state that even though Dinero scored the pinfall last week, he didn't pin R-V-D.

Rob Van Dam pinned Julio Dinero with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:09:39.
Rating: ****
(Rob Van Dam retained the GWR Heavyweight Title.)

Dinero showed his conciderable skills as he & RVD went back & forth with some great chain & counter wrestling at the beginning of the match. Dinero, however, would let his cocky streak take over when he had Van Dam in trouble. Instead of going for the pin on a few occations, Dinero taunted the crowd instead. Dinero did escpae a near fall after the champion hit the 5 Star Frog Splash, but, RVD took to long to cover his challenger & this gave Dinero the chamnce to recover. The 2 would trade offense in the ring with neither getting one up on the other. The final moments of the match came when the cation spilled to the outside. Van Dam, another with a long "Extreme" history, used all that knowledge to bully Dinero from post to guardrail & back again. After rolling Dinero back into teh ring, the champion went for the timekeeper's chair & brought it into the ring. First he used it as a springboard to hit Dinero with a spinning leg lariat. Then to finish him off, RVD bodyslammed the challenger onto the collapsed chair & then hit the 5 Star Frog Splash sandwiching Dinero between his crashing weight & the combination of the chair & hard canvas. This time the champion was quick to crawl over for the cover & the referee 3, declaring RVD the winner & still champion as we head off the air.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: APRIL 5, 2008
LOCATION: THE WICOMICO YOUTH & CIVIC CENTER, SALISBURY, MARYLAND

Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart welcome everyone to tonight's show. Kelly reminds everyone that Cryme Tyme has left the GWR, so, tonight Andrew Martin & BJ Whitmer will be teaming up against 2 men that will be making their debut. The opening video plays & as soon as its over, 2 somewhat familiar faces make their way to the ring for the opening match.

Kid Kash and Matt Bentley defeated Andrew Martin and BJ Whitmer when Kid Kash pinned Whitmer with the Dead Level in 0:13:59.
Rating: *** 1/4

Since Martin & Whitmer were unprepared for who they were going to be facing, Kash & Bentley had the element of surprise on their side. And they used that advantage to keep their opponents off balance for the entire match. The combination of speed, high flying, & technical execution was too much for the power of Martin to deal with. Even Whitmer's conciderable skills were no match for the newcomers' desire to make an impact. That impact was felt when Kash hit the Dead Level on Whitmer to pick up a hard fought win over 2 well traveled veterans.

A video is show highlighting the rivalry between The Naturals & BLKOUT.

Sabian pinned Chase Stevens with the Black Jesus Stomp in 0:09:06.
Rating: *** 1/2

Sabian was out to avenge his loss in the towel match 2 weeks ago to Stevens' partner: Andy Douglas. And it was with vengenace & malice that the "Black Jesus" went after his opponent. Both would rely on a high flying, high impact offense. And both would pay the price for attempting too much of that style. First, Sabian missed a plancha onto Stevens when he was on the arena floor. Then, Stevens missed a shooting star press just moments later when a semi-concious Sabian rolled out of the way at the last second. Sabian finally managed to gain enough control to make it to the top rope & hit the Black Jesus Stomp on Stevens to pick up a win & a measure of revenge.

Footage is shown from the past 2 weeks of the matches between Aaron Stevens & Danny Doring. After the footage, the camera cuts to Trinity who is standing by with "The Idol". Trinity questions him about Danny Doring. Stevens tells her that Doring is nothing more than a bump in the road on his way to the top. Then Trinity brings up how Stevens seems to have been hinting at making her his new manager in recent weeks. Stevens laughs at the subject and tells Trinity she's stupid for thinking that a man of The Idol's stature would ever be interested in any kind of relationship with with a woman like her. He then brings out someone he says is the only woman deserving of his time & attention: Allison Danger. Danger walks on screen & Trinity stares her down. Both Stevens & Danger laugh at Trinity's assumption as they leave to head to the ring.

Aaron Stevens pinned Danny Doring with the Downer in 0:12:45.
Rating: * 1/2

Doring & Stevens picked up where they left off last week, exchanging punches at the opening bell. Neither man was able to keep the advantage for more than afew moments as both are known for dirty tactics and using every trick in the book to get ahead. Allison Danger's part in the match, while small, was just enough to give her man the chance he needed to get Doring where he wanted him. As Danger distracted the referee, Stevens hit Doring with a low blow, followed by the Downer to pick up another win over the "ECW Original".

Christian York pinned Julio Dinero with the Moonsault in 0:13:46.
Rating: ** 3/4

Dinero was eager to prove himself after losing to GWR Champion: Rob Van Dam last week, and he figured that York would be an easy target since he only won last week by dq. BUt it would be York that would be the aggressor as he had a counter for whatever Dinero had to throw at him. Dinero tried to get the advantage back by dumping York to the arena floor, but, York would not be stopped as he took the fight straight to him. Dinero got some offense when he reversed a whip by York into the ringsteps. But, that wouldn't last when he rolled York back into the ring. York quickly hit Dinero with a stiff kick that set up a chance for York to scale the corner & hit the Moonsault for the win.

Footage is shown again of the rivalry between The Naturlas & BLKOUT.

Table No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Ruckus defeated Andy Douglas by putting him through a table in 0:13:16.
Rating: *** 1/2

Ruckus & Douglas tried to make this a normal wrestling match for the first several minutes, but, Douglas eventually got frustrated & decided to take it to the floor to see who the better brawler really was. Suprisingly, it was Douglas that took control of the match, sending Ruckus into both the guradrails & the ringsteps numerous times. Ruckus battled back & tried to drive Douglas through the anouncer's table. Douglas blocked an attempt at a cradle suplex, and sent Ruckus crashing to the floor. The action found its way back into the ring, but, it quickly went back to the arena floor. Ruckus threw Douglas out of teh ring & then springboarded onto Douglas with a moonsault to the outside. Ruckus again set Douglas up on the announcer's table and attempted another cradle suplex. This time it found the mark & the table collapsed under the weight of both men, leaving the referee no choice but to declare Ruckus the winner.

Rob Van Dam pinned Supreme with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:07:26.
Rating: *** 1/2

Van Dam & Supreme have a history that goes back to the first few shows of GWR. Both men wanting to prove to the other just who can get more "extreme". Usually it was be Van Dam that came out on top & tonight would be no different for the GWR Champion. Supreme had a power advantage, but, Van Dam's unorthodox offense kept the playingfield even. High flying moves & his "educated feet" made Van Dam nearly unstoppable. Van Dam had solid support from the fans in the arena, whose deafening cheers pushed the champion to seemingly fly higher than he had in previous encounters with Supreme. Van Dam made quick work of the "Human Horror Film", hitting him with the 5 Star Frog Splash for the victory. But, it was after the match that proved to be where the champion was most vunerable. As Van Dam celebrated in the ring with his GWR Title, Austin Aries ran out from the back to attack the champion from behind. Aries leveled Van Dam with a hard chairshot across the back, then grabbed the ring announcer's microphone. Aries made his point simple, by laying out a challenge for the now fallen champion for next week.

The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) defeated Luke Hawx and Rodney Mack when Meanie pinned R. Mack with the Meaniesault in 0:10:21.
Rating: * 1/4
(The bWo retained the GWR Tag Team Title.)
[Jazz interfered against The Blue Meanie.]

With each passing week, the GWR Tag Team Champions continue to prove their dominance. No one thought this former comic relief duo could or would be champions, but, they happily prove their detractors wrong. Hawx & Mack put up a good showing, but, the champions were more than ready for anything the 2 Louisiana natives could bring to the table. Not even Jazz could help turn the tables in favor of her team. Soon, it would be Rodney Mack's turn to feel the crunch as The Meanie climbed to the top corner & hit the Meaniesault for the victory. The champs again celebrated all around ringside with the fans as we head off the air.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: APRIL 12, 2008
LOCATION: THE BIG SANDY SUPERSTORE ARENA, HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA

Just as the opening video ends, Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart welcome everyone to the show. Neidhart reminds everyone of tonight's main event GWR Title match between Austin Aries & Rob Van Dam. Then Kelly calls for the footage to show everyone just how this match came about. After the video ends, Luke Hawx's music plays as the "Bad Boy from the Bayou" makes his way to the ring. There is a long pause as Luke is in the ring alone. Luke begins to pace in frustration as he waits for his opponent. Tat's when Theory Of A Deadman's "Hating Hollywood" plays as a somewhat familiar steps out from the back. He is wearing silver tights that flare at the bottom, a matching full length silver fur coat, and dark sunglasses. The crowd's low cheers become a loud roar when the ring announcer let's everyone know that JOEY MATTHEWS has arrived in the GWR.

Joey Matthews pinned Luke Hawx with the Snapshot in 0:09:55.
Rating: ***

Even though this was Joey's first appearance in GWR, Luke was determined to make it his last. Luke showed his conciderable skills to counter the offense of Matthews, but, even going arial with a Asai Twisting Plancha onto Joey as he stood on the arena floor. Things looked to be well in hand for Luke, who kept the momentum brawling with Matthews outside the ring, but, as soon as he rolled Joey back into the ring, Matthews caught Luke by surprise with the Snapshot to pick up a hard fought win much to the crowd's approval.

Aaron Stevens & Allison Danger are backstage with Trinity. Stevens cuts a promo about how now with Allison Danger by his side, no one can stop him from reaching the top. Trinity mugs Danger as she stands gloating holding Stevens' arm. Stevens tells Trinity not to worry, he's sure that one of the typical inbred West Virginians is tired of their family gene pool & would give her a try. He & Danger laugh as they leave to go to the ring.

Aaron Stevens pinned Ruckus with the Downer in 0:12:28.
Rating: ***
[Allison Danger interfered against Ruckus.]

Stevens used his size to bully Ruckus around the ring, but, Ruckus used his unorthodox offense to fight back. When Ruckus sent Stevens to the floor, he followed him out with a corkscrew plancha on top of "The Idol". But, instead of capitalizing on the advantage, Ruckus let Allison Danger distract him & allowed Stevens to regain his senses From there, Stevens & Ruckus went back & forth on offense, until Ruckus took a hard clothesline that sent him over the top rope to the floor. Stevens continue to keep the pressure on by whipping Ruckus from the guard rail & then into the ringsteps. Stevens then rolled Ruckus back into the ring, and hit the Downer for the win.

Footage is shown from last week of the debut of Kid Kash & Matt Bentley when they faced, and defeated, Andrew Martin & BJ Whitmer.

Kid Kash and Matt Bentley defeated Andrew Martin and BJ Whitmer when Bentley pinned Martin with the Head on Collision in 0:13:20.
Andrew Martin suffered a back injury. He will be out for approximately 1 card.
Rating: *** 3/4

BJ Whitmer was in the ring to open the match against Kash & the 2 put on a proverbial clinic. Exchanging holds with both Bentley & Kash seemed to show that Whitmer was better prepared than he & Martin were last week. With both Kash & Bentley begging off, Whitmer tagged out to his more muscular partner. Martin used his power to keep the pressure on, but, soon fell victim to double teaming. The odd thing was, that every time Martin would make his way to the corner to tag his partner, Whitmer would be distracted & miss the opportunity. The double teaming from Kash & Bentley lasted for several minutes, each time the referee tried to regain control, Whitmer would step in to help his partner & distract him, letting Kash & Bentley continue their assault. When Martin finally did fight back enough to seperate himself from his opponents & make the tag, Whitmer came in fast, springboarding over the top rope. Kash & Bentley backed off as if they could foresee the beating that awaited them. but, Whitmer did the unexpected. Instead of attacking Kash & Bentley, Whitmer walked over & shook their hands. Whitmer then turned around & tagged Martin back into the match. All 3 men dragged him back in over the top rope & proceeded to brutalize him. Kash & Whitmer held Martin up so that Bentley could hit the Head on Collision. Whitmer then forced the refereee to make the 3 count. After the count was made, Whitmer tossed the referee from the ring & the 3 resumed beating on Martin. That is until Christian York & Danny Doring ran out armed with steel chairs to force Whitmer, Kash, & Bentley to retreat.

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Triangle Match:
Axl Rotten defeated Julio Dinero and Rodney Mack when Axl pinned R. Mack with the Severe Skull Trauma in 0:31:50.
Rating: ** 3/4
[Jazz interfered against Julio Dinero.]
[Jazz interfered against Axl Rotten.]

The action in this match was all over the place as the rules stated that the first man to score a pinfall or submission would be declared the winner. All 3 men were in the ring at once, and when the action went that way, they were out of the ring together as well. Jazz tried her best to help her man keep the advantage, but, each time it didn't last long since he had another man to deal with. The crowd was solidly behind Axl Rotten as the 3 men traded blows in the center of the ring. It would be Rotten that got the better of the other 2 as he sent Dinero to the floor with a big clothesline over the top rope. He then turned to hit Mack with Severe Skull Trauma to pick up the win in the longest match of the night.

The Blue Meanie pinned Supreme with the Meaniesault in 0:04:28.
Rating: ** 1/2

Supreme & Meanie picked up where they left off 2 weeks ago. This time it seemed like Supreme could never get out of the gate, as The Meanie just dominated him for the entire match, setting him up for the Meaniesault to pick up a quick win. During the match, The Naturals cut an insert promo talking about how next week, they will be getting a shot at the gold, and that The bWo should preapre for a Natural Disaster.

Sabian pinned Nova with the Black Jesus Stomp in 0:10:03.
Rating: ***

Up next was a battle between a risktaker & a crafty veteran. The other half of the GWR Tag Team Champions: Nova did everything he could to try to hold off Sabian, but, the "Black Jesus" would not be out done. His high flying offense set the tone for the first few minutes of the match, but, when he went for a 450 splash, Nova rolled out of the way, leaving Sabian nothing to hit but the canvas. Nova wold then grab the time keeper's chair & use it as a springboard to launch himself onto the groggy Sabian as he pulled himself up in the corner. The action stayed at a fast pace for the remainder of the match with both men trying, & failing, at high risk moves. It was after Nova slammed Sabian off the top rope that he felt the end would be near. As Sabian slowly got to his feet, Nova rebounded off the ropes. That's when Sabian struck. Sabian caught Nova completely off guard with a stiff clothesline, and quickly ascended the turnbuckle to hit the Black Jesus Stomp to pick up the victory.

A video is shown from last week of Austin Aries' attack on GWR Heavyweight Champion: Rob Van Dam.

Rob Van Dam pinned Austin Aries with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:12:39.
Rating: **** 1/4
(Rob Van Dam retained the GWR Heavyweight Title.)

In their 3rd ever meeting, Aries & Van Dam let it all hang out as they pushed each other to the edge. This one quickly went to the floor as RVD backdropped Aries over the top rope, right out in front of the announcer's table. The champion quickly followed up with a springboard plancha that sent both crashing into the guardrail. It didn't take long for RVD to follow up that with a standing moonsault that sandwiched his challenger between his body & a steel chair. The referee managed to get the action back into the ring, but, Aries was still unable to get much going as the champion changed up his gameplan & started using submission holds. Aries finally got some momentum on his side when he reversed a whip from Van Dam into the corner. After RVD hit the mat, Aries quickly locked on the Rings of Saturn, but, was unable to pick up a submission. As Aries argued with the referee, RVD recovered and managed to sneak out of the ring for an old ECW favorite: the frying pan. When Aries followed him out, the champion hit Aries over the head with a resounding clang. The brawl went all around the ring, and when it got back inside the ropes Aries was back in control. Aries hit the champion with stiff kicks & chops, leading to whip across the ring form corner to corner. Following RVD in, Aries set him up on the top turnbuckle & hit the champion with a Top Rope Frankensteiner. He followed that with a No Hands Lionsault. Only able to pick up about a 2 1/2 count, the challenger wanted to land the final blow. He once again mounted the top rope & attempted what can only be described as a "Savage" Elbowdrop. Van Dam had enough left to see the move coming and just before it landed, the champion rolled out of the way. As Aries lay on the canvas clutching his elbow, RVD scaled the turnbuckle & hit the 5 Star Frog Splash to retain his title in what had to be his toughest defense yet.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: APRIL 19, 2008
LOCATION: "THE IGLOO" THE MELLON ARENA, PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA

The show opens with a short video package from last week of BJ Whitmer turning on his partner Andrew Martin during their match against Matt Bentley & Kid Kash. Then of Danny Doring & Christian York chasing the trio off with steel chairs for the save. After the video, Kevin Kelly reminds everyone watching that Andrew Martin suffered a back injury & was not cleared to wrestle tonight, so Doring & York will take on Whitmer, Kash & Bentley in a 3 on 2 handicap match.

Handicap-Match:
Christian York and Danny Doring defeated BJ Whitmer, Kid Kash and Matt Bentley when York pinned Whitmer with the Moonsault in 0:04:13.
Rating: ** 1/4
[Andrew Martin interfered against BJ Whitmer.]

This match was short, but, wild. The referee had a hard time keeping control & keeping track of who the legal man in the ring was. The when the injured Martin came to teh ring to support his new firends, any control the referee had was completely lost. As the referee's attention was diverted when Doring lept over the top rope onto Bentley & Kash, Martin struck Whitmer with a steel chair across the back, allowing York to hit the Moonsault for the win. A win that gave "The Punisher" a small amount of revenge.

Axl Rotten pinned Julio Dinero with the Severe Skull Trauma in 0:15:39.
Rating: *** 1/2

The action spilled back & forth between Rotten & Dinero for most of the match. Dinero's in ring ability countered Axl's brawling on the outside. There were plenty of near falls throughout the match as each man pulled out all the stops, but, it was Axl who was the first to hit his finisher: Severe Skull Trauma to secure the win. During the match, Supreme cut an insert promo talking about how he & Axl still have a score to settle, & next week some dues will be paid.

Aaron Stevens & Allison Danger are backstage with Trinity for a quick interveiw. Stevens again puts down Trinity for assuming that he would name her as his new manager. As he & Danger snicker to each other about it, Trinity glares at them and reminds Stevens that he has a match with Sabian coming up next. Stevens says that he had no problem beating Ruckus last week, so, his tag team partner will just be another step forward for "The Idol". Danger tells Trinity not to feel too bad, maybe one of the "Steel Town Boys" will take her out for a good time after the show. She & Stevens laugh again & head off to the ring, leaving Trinity fuming over the comment.

Aaron Stevens pinned Sabian with the Downer in 0:08:02.
Rating: ** 3/4

Stevens continued on his roll as he put down both members of BLKOUT in consecutive weeks. While Sabian thrilled the crowd with some high flying moves, he was no match for the determined "Idol". After the match, Danger joined her man in the ring & the 2 celebrated with a small public display of affection, then they taunted the crowd some more before deciding to leave.

Backstage, GWR Heavyweight Champion: Rob Van Dam runs into Joey Matthews. They joke back & forth for a few seconds & seem genuinely happy to see each other. Joey then dropped a few hints that he might want a shot at RVD's title someday. The champion agreed that it sounded like a good idea somewhere down the road. But, Matthews said that down the road alot can change & that he wanted his shot sooner than that. Van Dam got alittle angered by Matthews' brazen attempt to get at the title, but, then thought about it. Then Van Dam said since tonight is April 19, that makes tomorrow one of his favorite days of the year & nothing was going to ruin his mood. So, if Joey can beat Rodney Mack later tonight, he can have his shot next week. Until then, no matter the outcome tonight, tomorrow the 2 of them will be out burning the town up.

Ruckus pinned Luke Hawx with the Hate Crime in 0:10:29.
Rating: *** 1/4

Both men did their best to trade holds & exchange high flying moves. When Luke would go for a move from the top, Ruckus would get out of the way in the nick of time. When Ruckus would go for a suplex, Luke would counter with a small package. No 2 men on the roster could have been so evenly matched. Even when the action spilled to the ringside floor, neither man could get a clear advantage. But Ruckus proved to be just one step ahead by hitting a cradle suplex & following it up with the Hate Crime. Just like last week, one memeber of BLKOUT falls to defeat, while the other soars to victory.

Footage is shown from earlier of the interaction backstage between Rob Van Dam & Joey Matthews.

Joey Matthews pinned Rodney Mack with the Snapshot in 0:17:27.
Rating: **** 1/4
[Jazz interfered against Joey Matthews.]

With the added motivation of a chance at the GWR Title next week, Matthews went after Mack as soon as the bell sounded. Within the first minute of the match, Matthews hit the Snapshot for a near fall. Mack fought back & used his power to push Matthews around the ring for the next several minutes. It was when Matthews reversed a whip to the corner, when he caught Mack totally off guard with the Snapshot again for another near fall. The stunned Mack battled back & again overpowered Matthews & locked him in the Blackout. Matthews fought with everything he had to make it to the ropes to break the devastating hold. Mack kept the pressure on & battered Matthews around the ring. He then set Joey up for a bulldog that Matthews reversed into a 3rd Snapshot. This time, just before the referee could count to 3, Jazz put Mack's foot on the bottom rope to stop the fall. With the referee distracted, Matthews used afew dirty tricks he knew to keep the advantage over Mack. Mack tried to fight back, but, all the punishment he took wore him down enough for Matthews to hit one more Snapshot & finally pick up the victory, earning a shot at the GWR Heavyweight Title next week. As Joey celebrated in the ring, GWR Heavyweight Champion: Rob Van Dam stepped out from the back & stood in the entranceway, applauding his friend, & the next challenger for his title.

Footage is shown of the last 3 meetings between The Naturals & The bWo.

The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) when C. Stevens pinned Nova after the Natural Disaster in 0:18:42.
Rating: ****
(The Naturals won the GWR Tag Team Title.)

After veiwing the video package of their past 3 meetings, the fans were treated to another classic tag team match, pitting the wily veteran team of Nova & The Meanie against the upstarts Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens. The Naturals kept the champions off balance with alot of double teaming early on, as has become their trademark of sorts. Not to be outdone, Nova & Meanie used their own double team moves to show the young challengers just why they are the top team in GWR. The Naturals isolated Meanie for several minutes, trapping him in all 3 corners, but away from his own. Quick tags kept the challengers in control, and kept Meanie guessing which direction he was getting hit from next. That is, until Nova finally saw enough & charged at The Naturals to save his partner. That tactic would have worked too, except for the fact the referee cut him off & forced him back outside. This did however give The Meanie an unexpected chance to fight back. After hitting Chase Stevens with a low blow, Meanie managed to make it to the corner & tag his partner, who came in with a vengeance. But, for all his fire, Nova's offense only lasted less than a minute befoer The Naturals' double teaming took its toll on him as well. Nova still managed to mount some offense to keep the challengers at bay. Nova hit the Novacaine & then exitted the ring to grab the time keeper's chair. The fans cheered as Nova laid the chair down on the mat & then hit Douglas with a belly to belly suplex onto it. As the referee removed the chair form the ring, Stevens jumped Nova from behind & helped his team regain control. Meanie tried to enter the ring to even the odds, but, was prevented from helping by the referee. The end almost came when The bWo hit Douglas with the Blue Light Special, but, Stevens made a save in the nick of time. From there it was more quick tags & cheating from the challengers that kept Nova isolated enough for them to hit the Natural Disaster to capture the tag team gold.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: APRIL 26, 2008
LOCATION: THE FRANK ERWIN CENTER, AUSTIN TEXAS

The show opens with footage from last week of Joey Matthews defeating Rodney Mack to earn a show at the GWR Heavyweight Title tonight. After the title video, Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart welcome the viewers & further hype the main event.

Kid Kash and Matt Bentley defeated Christian York and Danny Doring when Bentley pinned Doring with the Head on Collision in 0:15:15.
Rating: * 1/4

Back & forth double teaming set the pace for the opening match early on. Doring & Bentley would try to outwrestle one another, with neither getting a real advantage. When York finally came in, he tok the fight straight to Bentley, sending him out of the ring & battering him all around the ringside area. It was Kash that got his team back into it, by out flying York. York would hold his own for afew minutes more until fatigue started to set in, then it was time to bring Doring back. Doring held his own, but, the constant double teaming from Kash & Bentley wore him down quick. York tried to help his partner get back intto it, but, Kash & Bentley just wanted it more tonight. And when Bentley landed the Head On Collision to Doring's jaw, the match was over.

A video package is shown of the rivalry between Axl Rotten & Supreme.

Axl Rotten pinned Supreme with the Severe Skull Trauma in 0:12:05.
Rating: ***

It didn't take long for Supreme to draw first blood, literally, as he bounced Axl's head off the ring post in the opening minute of the match. Axl fought back, but, the cut on his forehead was deep enough to turn him into a bloody mess for the entire match. The blood seemed to fuel Rotten's rage further as the wild brawl went on. Rotten's battle hardened fists pummeled Supreme, then Axl used a piledriver to set up for Severe Skull Trauma to pick up another victory.

Rodney Mack and Luke Hawx defeated The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) when Luke pinned Nova with the Holy Driver in 0:12:14.
Rating: *** 1/4

Mack & Hawx were looking to avenge a pair of solo losses from last week & The bWo were looking to regain the momentum they lost when they dropped the tag team gold to The Naturals. Luke was more easily pushed around by the former tag champs whenever he was in the ring. It was Mack's power that made the difference for his team. Pressing Nova over his head was just one way Mack dominated the former champs. But, not to be outdone, Nova & Meanie double teamed the stronger Mack to keep themselves in the game. Nova even went so far as to bring a chair into the irng to use on Mack while Meanie kept the referee distracted. Both team scored afew near falls, but, when Luke got into the ring, it would be for the last time. His speed knocked Meanie off the apron & on the rebound from that, he hit Nova with a stiff dropkick. Hawx followed that up with the Holy Driver for the 1, 2, 3.

Backstage; Trininty stands alone when Aaron "The Idol" Stevens walks up without Allison Danger. He talks to Trinity about how he & Danger had a huge fight & now she's left him & the GWR for good. He tells her how he made the wrong choice by picking Danger over her and then offers the chance to make things right. Trinity smiles & says its about time that he came to his senses. Just as she is about to accept his offer, Allison Danger attacks her from behind. Danger sends Trinity to the floor & continues to assault her until officials pull her off. As the trainers & officials tend to Trinity, Danger & Stevens walk off together laughing.

Aaron Stevens pinned Austin Aries with the Downer in 0:18:53.
Rating: *** 1/4
[Allison Danger interfered against Austin Aries.]

In an oddly competitive & cleanly fought match, Stevens & Aries traded offense several times. Stevens would try a "ground & pound" style as opposed to Aries risk taking & high flying moves. Both men scored several near falls, but, it was when Aries tried to finish off Stevens with the 450 splash when Allison Danger would make her presence felt the most. She jumped up on the apron & pushed Aries off the top rope causing him to crash to the mat. This gave Stevens enough time to recover to hit the Downer to secure a yet another victory.

A video is shown highlighting the rivalry between BLKOUT & The Naturals & then of The Naturals capturing the GWR Tag Team Title last week.

The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) when A. Douglas defeated Ruckus by disqualification in 0:08:17.
Rating: ** 1/4

This one was another fast paced, high risk contest between these 2 teams. Neither showed anything special that hasn't been seen from their previous encounters. That is until Ruckus threw the rule book out the window & tossed referee Chris Cloud over the top rope after making a questionable call. After that all 4 men got into the ring & a wild brawl broke loose. As soon as Cloud recovered he called for the time keeper to ring the bell, disqualifying BLKOUT for Ruckus' behaviour. The sound of the bell wasn't enough to stop the 2 teams from fighting. They continued as their battle spilled into the crowd & all the way to the back.

Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart talk up the recent events involving BJ WHitmer & Andrew Martin. The to remind the viewers a video is shown of Whitmer's attack on Martin 2 weeks ago & Martin's retaliation last week. After the video, the camera cuts backstage to Whitmer, who is backstage with Allison Danger. Whitmer tells her that its nice to have an interviewer with some class. He then goes into why he turned his back on Martin, stating that he was tired of carrying "that musclebound oaf". Now, he has a new partner with plenty of talent. Julio Dinero walked into frame. Dinero said that together they would run Martin out of the GWR & out of wrestling all together.

Handicap-Match:
Andrew Martin defeated BJ Whitmer and Julio Dinero when Martin pinned Whitmer with the Pumphandle Powerslam in 0:07:10.
Rating: ****

Martin was out for vengeance against the 2 men that have done him the most wrong lately. Dinero for costing him a shot at RVD's GWR Title. And Whitmer for viciously attacking him with Matt Bentley & Kid Kash 2 weeks ago. Whitmer & Dinero would try to double team Martin & us etheir numbers advantage to keep him off his feet. But, Martin's power was just too much for them. He made short work of the 2, first dumping Dinero to the floor as he attempted a move off the top rope. Then turning his attention to Whitmer, Martin used power moves & hard slams to set for his patented Pumphandle Powerslam to pick up some revenge & the win.

But his victory would only be short lived when Dinero got back into the ring with a chair & started to pound Martin across the back. When Whitmer recovered, he joined in until officials stormed the ring to pull them off & send them to the back.

As officials try to help Martin to the back, a video is shown of Joey Matthews beating Rodney Mack last week to earn a shot at the GWR Heavyweight Title.

Rob Van Dam pinned Joey Matthews with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:18:16.
Rating: **** 1/4
(Rob Van Dam retained the GWR Heavyweight Title.)

Matthews & Van Dam both showed a great display of chain wrestling & counters to open the match. Then when they decided to take it to the air, both men used the best moves at their disposal. The crowd's reaction swayed to whoever was on the offensive. First cheering Matthews, then Van Dam. Matthews scored near fall, after near fall on the champion. But, Van Dam's resiliance kept the gold just out of reach. Matthews looked to have the match sewn up when he hit the Snapshot. Neither the crowd or Matthews could believe it when Van Dam got his shoulder up at 2 & 1/2. Matthews let his frustration get the better of him when he brought a chair into the ring. And for those frustrations, he would pay the price as the champion hit the Van Daminator for a near fall. But, Van Dam wasn't the only one whose resiliancy thrilled the crowd. Matthews even kicked out of the 5 Star Frog Splash moments later. Over the next several minutes, the momentum would go back & forth with each man scoring a number of near falls. By the end the crowd was on their feet when the champion once again scaled the turnbuckles to hit the 5 Star Frog Splash to retain his title.

After the match; Van Dam & Matthews embraced & congradulated eachother on such a superb match.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: MAY 3, 2008
LOCATION: THE BANKCORPSOUTH ARENA, TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI

The show opens with highlights from last week main event between Joey Matthews & Rob Van Dam. After the video concludes, Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart welcome everyone to tonight's broadcast. They run down the card for tonight's show, hyping the main event Tag Team Title match between reigning champions: The Naturals & long time rivals: BLKOUT.

Matt Bentley pinned Danny Doring with the Head on Collision in 0:10:07.
Rating: ** 1/4

This week opened with Doring's age & experience taking on Bentley's youth & hunger. Doring started strong, using stiff chops & kicks to control Bentley & keep him grounded. Doring continued to pound Bentley all over the ring, never really letting him get any offense. But, Bentley made a quick turn around, catching Doring with a swinging neckbreaker as he rebounded off the ropes. From there it was just afew sudden moves leading to the Head On Collsion to give Bentley the win.

Andrew Martin pinned Supreme with the Pumphandle Powerslam in 0:11:35.
Rating: *** 1/4

Supreme started off the match with some wild brawling to keep Martin backpeddling. Martin fought back to keep himself in the match, but, Supreme would not be stopped. Supreme took the fight to the floor & as the action went around the ring, set Martin up on the announcer's table for an attempt at a power bomb. Martin blocked the attempt & fought back again, chasing Supreme back into the ring. Martin kept the heat on Supreme as he pounded him into the corner, then pulled him out to deliver the Pumphandle Powerslam to pick up the victory.

Footage is shown of the rivalry between Andrew Martin & the new combination of BJ Whitmer & Julio Dinero.

BJ Whitmer and Julio Dinero defeated The bWo (The Blue Meanie and Nova) when Whitmer pinned Nova with the Wrist Clutch Exploder in 0:20:53.
Rating: *** 1/2

Whitmer & Dinero used an offense heavily based in double teaming to keep the former GWR Tag Team Champions where they wanted them. First by trapping Meanie in their corner, they set a pace of hard hitting brutality & tight submission holds. But the Meanie showed his toughness by holding on & eventually making a desperate tag to Nova. NOva used all of his knowledge & prowess to keep his opponents off balance, but, with Meanie nursing wounds on the apron, he could not keep up as they took him on 2 on 1. Nova looked at his best when the referee finally regained control over Dinero by forcing him to leave the ring. He sent Whitmer to the floor & proceeded to use anything he could get his hands on to maintain an advantage. Even when the action got back into the ring, Nova kept his head about him. Dinero tried to double team NOva without Whitmer's knowledge & when Nova ducked out of the way, Whitmer took his partner down with a lariat. This gave Nova time to tag the now rested Meanie back into the match. Whitmer gave Dinero another chance as they beat down Meanie yet again, and the 2 fought tooth & nail for an advantage. Meanie came out on top of the exchange & set Dinero up for a finish as he went to the top for the Meaniesault. But, just a half a second before impact, Dinero got his knees up. From there it was just a matter of time, as Dinero & Whitmer held onto control no matter which bWo member was in the ring. Whitmer whipped Nova into the corner & as he rebounded out, hit the Wrist Clutch Exploder to secure victory for his team.

After the match, Whitmer got the ring announcer's microphone & called out Andrew Martin. Martin slowly walked out onto the entranceway, where Whitmer went on to challenge him to a match to end their rivalry once & for all. Whitmer & Dinero took turns insulting Martin's intelligence, before Martin pulled out his own mic (where he was hiding it; no one knows). Martin accepted the challenge, but, only on the grounds that he get to pick the type of match. Dinero told him it wouldn't matter what kind of match he chose, he would still come out the loser. Martin thought for a second, & then told the duo in the ring that they have 2 weeks find 2 more partners because they would face Martin & a team of his choosing inside the giant steel cage of WAR GAMES! Dinero & Whitmer freaked out when they heard the choice of match, as Martin smiled & walked away.

Aaron Stevens pinned Axl Rotten with the Downer in 0:19:59.
Rating: * 1/4

These 2 went right after each other as soon as the bell sounded. They traded punches & chops, but, soon the brawl got out of control. They spilled to the arena floor & fought into the crowd & back over the guardrail to the announce position. Stevens whipped Rotten into the rail & then into the announce table. Stevens then slid into the ring & back out quickly to break the referee's count & continue the wild fight. This time Axl was ready for him. Rotten caught him with a stiff punch to the side of the head that sent "The Idol" reeling. Stevens went on a hasty retreat, forcing Roten to chase him around the ring. And that was the opportunity that Allison Danger was waiting for, as Rotten rounded the cornerpost, she sprung up to try & catch him off guard. Unfortunately, Axl was ready for her & tossed her aside easily. The crowd was solidly behind Axl as he battered Stevens back into the ring. As he was cornered, Stevens finally struck back & hit Rotten with a low blow to stop the assault. Stevens then used his technical superiority to control the match, leading up to the Downer for yet another win to add to his current streak.

After the match; Stevens & Danger celebrate in the ring as Trinity comes out & stands on the entraceway, armed with a microphone. She goes on to say that since being snubbed by Stevens, she's had a chance to see just what kind of man he truly is, and now she knows what a real man is suposed to be like. Stevens smiles & tells her that she just might have a chance with him yet, but, she stops him in mid sentence to let him know that due to his actions, she feels that "The Idol" is no real man. Trinity went on to say that she has a few friends in low places. So, she hoped Stevens & Danger have enjoyed all their success so far because next week, it all comes to an end. And that up until now they have just gotten lucky. Too bad next week, that luck runs out. She drops the mic & walks off leaving Danger & Stevens looking confused.

Joey Matthews pinned Rodney Mack with the Snapshot in 0:17:21.
Rating: *** 1/4
[Jazz interfered against Joey Matthews.]

Two weeks ago, Matthews defeated Mack to earn a shot at the GWR Heavyweight Title. This week, Mack was looking for revenge. Mack went right after Matthews as soon as the bell rang. He used his power to punish Matthews for the 2 week old loss. But, Joey caught Mack by surprise with the Snapshot for what would have been a shocking victory, had Jazz not put her man's foot over the bottom rope to stop the count. Mack battled back to put Matthews down for a near fall after a flying clothesline, but, Joey would not be denied. Matthews used his high flying background to gain several near falls in just about 2 minutes, but, Mack used his experience to throw Matthews out of the ring & take the fight to the floor. After battering Matthews on the floor, Mack pressed Matthews over his head to toss him back into the ring. Mack continued his ground & pound attack, until Matthews reveresed a whip into the corner, which he followed up with a splash sandwiching Mack between himself & the turnbuckle. Matthews went for a second Snapshot & the result was the same as the first: the ref counted 2 & Jazz put her man's foot on the bottom rope to break the count. Mack wasn't the same after that. Matthews kept the pressure on, hitting him with a flying clothesline, followed by a ropeflip moonsault. After another near fall, Matthews dragged Mack to the center of the ring to hit a 3rd Snapshot to end the match.

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Triangle Match:
Christian York defeated Austin Aries and Kid Kash when York pinned Aries with the Moonsault in 0:10:31.
Rating: *** 3/4

Kash & York picked up where they left off last week, but, now with the added influence of Aries, the match went to new heights (literally).
York & Kash's brawling quickly spilled to the floor on the runway, from there, Aries mounted his arial offense by hitting both men with an Asai moonsault form the second rope to the floor. Aries recovered first & rolled York into the ring for the first near fall of the match. Luckily for York, Kash was able to break the pin at the last second. From there, the 3 traded kicks & punches with no one getting a clear advantage. When 1 man would hit a move for a near fall, another would be there to break the count. The end came when Kash hit the Dead Level on Aries, then from out of nowhere, York hit both men with the Moonsault. He then rolled Kash aside & pinned Aries to pick up the victory.

A video is shown highlighting the rivalry between BLKOUT & GWR Tag Team Champions: The Naturals.

The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) when C. Stevens pinned Ruckus with the Shooting Star Press in 0:10:12.
Rating: *** 1/2
(The Naturals retained the GWR Tag Team Title.)

Ruckus & Sabian opened the match with quick tags to keep Andy Douglas isolated from his championship partner. Sabian's high flying & the unorthdox offense of Ruckus made the possibility of new champions more & more likely with each passing minute. But, when The Naturals were finally able to mount some double team offense, the momentum switched quickly back in the champions favor. They pounded Sabian in their corner, and everytime Ruckus would try & intervene, the ref would cut him off. Sabian fought back valiantly, and finally made a hot tag to his partner. And when Ruckus entered the ring, anything that resembled a normal match was soon thrown away. All 4 men brawled in the ring & then outside it as well. As Douglas kept Sabian busy on the outside, Stevens hit Ruckus with the Shooting Star Press to retain the tag team gold.

GLOBAL WRESTLING REVOLUTION SATURDAY NIGHT
DATE: MAY 10, 2008
LOCATION: THE MID-SOUTH COLISEUM, MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE

The opening video plays & Kevin Kelly & Jim Neidhart welcome everyone to tonight's broadcast. After that, they talk up tonight's card & hype the first match as a highlight video is shown in case you missed how it came about from last week.

No-Countout-Match:
Christian York pinned Austin Aries with the Moonsault in 0:19:14.
Rating: ** 3/4

Aries claimed that York would not have beaten his last week if Kid Kash didn't get in the way. York shot back that Aries was about to get beat by Kash anyway so he shouldn't hate on the smarter man. When the bell rang, this match didn't resemble the high flying contest from last week; it was a straight up fight. Taking it to the floor within the first minute, Aries whipped York into the guardrails & the ring steps. York fought back and stunned Aries enough to attempt an Asai Moonsault on the former ROH Champion. Unfortunately, Aries got out of the way & York landed hard on the floor. Aries brought the match back into the ring & continued to punch & chop York, backing him into a corner. It was when Aries whiped York to the ropes that the momentum shifted again. York rebounded & as Aries went for a backdrop, York caught him with a jumping DDT. From there, the 2 exchanged holds & offense, it was when York went for an Asai Moonsault on the standing Aries that things looked darkest. Aries caught York & hit a Tombstone piledriver. He followed it up with the Savage Elbowdrop for a 2 count. Aries wanted to finish it so he went for a No Hands Lionsault, that York countered by pulling up his knees. York then went up to the top & as Aries writhed in pain on the mat, York came crashing down with the Moonsault for the victory.

Luke Hawx pinned Joey Matthews with the Holy Driver in 0:11:35.
Rating: **

This one goes back several weeks, to the night Matthews debuted in GWR as a surprise opponent for Luke. On that night, Luke had no way to prepare for the man he was facing, but, tonight Luke was ready for everything Matthews had to throw at him. Luke dominated the opening minutes with stiff kicks & high flying moves. Joey made a desperation reversal to the turnbuckle turned the tide back in his favor. Too bad that it didn't last long, Luke caught Joey with a sharp enzuigiri to take back control. From there it was just more of the same as Luke pounded Matthews from corner to corner, finally hitting the Holy Driver for the win.

Aaron Stevens & Allison Danger come to the ring & Stevens snatches the ring announcer's microphone. Stevens calls out Trinity saying that he's been backstage all day & he hasn't seen her supposed friend anywhere. He & Danger ran down Trinity saying that there wasn't anyone in the world that would come to Trinity's aid. Trinity had finally heard enough & came out to the ring with as mic of her own. Stevens & Danger continued to verbally assault Trinity about how she has no friends & how if she wants to play games, maybe she'd like to play them as the membver of a threesome. Trinity stood her ground, telling Stevens & Danger that if she took them up on that offer they should concider themselves 2 of the luckiest people in the world. But, too bad for them that her friend is here; so as for their offer she only has one thing to say...Sorry about your damn luck! On that cue, the music hit & out walked a man carrying a beer bottle, dressed in a camoflauge trenchcoat & black cowboy hat. The crowd erupted as they realized that "Comboy" James Storm has returned to his homestate of Tennessee.

James Storm pinned Aaron Stevens with the Last Call in 0:12:48.
Rating: ** 3/4
[Allison Danger interefered against James Storm.]
[Trinity interfered against Aaron Stevens.]

As Storm took off his ring gear, Stevens saw the opportunity to get ahead & attacked from behind. Storm quickly fought back & had Stevens reeling from hard punches. Stevens battled back with some good counter wrestling, even catching Storm in the Idol Lock. Storm fought out of the hold & took back control. Both men traded punches & holds for the next few minutes. When Stevens took control back, Trinity tried to get into the action, but, Allison Danger stopped her & a cat fight ensued on the outside. Stevens took a couple seconds to admire the view of the 2 lovely ladies rolling on the floor, and that was all that Storm needed to recover. He hit Stevens from behind whipped him to the ropes for a flying clothesline & a near fall. Stevens kicked out & counter wrestled his way back into control. But, as the referee was distracted by Danger, Trinity snuck into the ring & hit Stevens with a chair across the back. Storm got his senses back & hot Stevenms with the Last Call (Superkick) to pick up his first win in GWR, much to the pleasure of Trinity.

A video is shown highlighting last week's GWR Tag Team Title match between The Naturals & BLKOUT.

The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated BLKOUT (Ruckus and Sabian) when A. Douglas pinned Sabian with the Natural Selection in 0:20:32.
Rating: ***
(The Naturals retained the GWR Tag Team Title.)

This match mirrored last week's meeting between these 2 teams, in which double teaming from the champions kept them in control for a long time. Isolating Sabian made the champs look strong, & when Ruckus tried to come to his partner's aid, the referee cut him off & kept him on the outside. When the ref finally got the champs under control, Sabian was able to reverse a whip to the ropes & hit a clothesline to stun Chase Stevens. Saban then rolled to his corner to make the tag to Ruckus. Ruckus fought off both members of The Naturals & had things firmly in hand for his team. But, just when things looked brightest, the champions used their best cheating tactics to swing things back in their favor. From there it was back & forth between both teams, with BLKOUT using their high flying aresnal & The Naturals using every dirty trick in the book. The underhanded tactics finally took their toll on Sabian when Stevens hit a low blow so Douglas could hit the Natural Selection to retain the titles.

Backstage, Andrew Martin talks to GWR Champion: Rob Van Dam about his match tonight with BJ Whitmer. Martin warns RVD not to trust anything abut the man that used to be his tag team partner. Just then, Whitmer, Julio Dinero, Kid Kash, & Matt Bentley all attacked Martin & RVD. Danny Doring & Christian York came to their aid, but, the 4 men were too much for them as well. Using chairshots against Martin & his friends, the damage had been done. Whitmer informed the 4 men that they had just met his team for War Games (Dinero, Kash, Bentley, & himself) and he hoped that Van Dam was ready to drop the belt tonight since the special referee for their title match would be Bentley.

Axl Rotten pinned Rodney Mack with the Severe Skull Trauma in 0:11:57.
Rating: * 3/4

This one wasn't pretty as 2 of the best brawlers in wrestling went at it before the bell even sounded. From there it was just a straight up brawl to see who could hit harder. During the match Supreme cut an insert promo challenging Axl Rotten to one more match between the 2 for next week. And since it would be such a special night, he wanted their match to be just as special. It would be 1 in which the victor would be the man that drew FIRST BLOOD! The action was brutal in the ring, but, it all lead to Axl hitting Severe Skull Trauma for the win.

A video is shown of what went down just before the last match of the backstage attack on Andrew Martin & Rob Van Dam. After the footage, Kevin Kelly lets everyone know that Andrew Martin has chosen his team as well for next week's main event. The team will consist of: Martin, Danny Doring, Christian York, & GWR Heavyweight Champion: Rob Van Dam.

Kid Kash pinned Danny Doring with the Dead Level in 0:05:59.
Rating: ***

Due to the punishment he suffered in that backstage attack earlier, Doring put up a valiant effort, but, it wasn't enough to hold Kash off. Kash dominated the match, going after the sore back of Doring & eventually hitting the Dead Level for an easy win.

Andrew Martin pinned Julio Dinero with the Pumphandle Powerslam in 0:08:55.
Rating: *** 3/4

Martin, who was also still hurting from the attack earlier, was able to keep Dinero at bay with his power & size. But, Dinero's dirty tricks kept the match even. Martin risked disqualification on a few occations by choking Dinero against the ropes, only breaking when the referee's count was near it's limit. Dinero cheated his way back to getting the momentum in his favor, but, Martin stood tall and battled back each time. Surprising not only Dinero, but, most of the crowd, Martin used some good counter wrestling to regain control & set Dinero up for the Pumphandle Powerslam to gain the 1, 2, 3, giving his team some momentum going into War Games next week.

Match with Special Referee Matt Bentley:
BJ Whitmer defeated Rob Van Dam by disqualification in 0:15:21.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Rob Van Dam retained the GWR Heavyweight Title.)
[Danny Doring interfered against BJ Whitmer.]

Van Dam went on the offense early on, but, eachtime he had Whitmer where he wanted him, Matt Bentley would exercise (& abuse) his power as referee & seperate the 2. He would not exercise the same values when it was Whitmer doing the same thing. When Whitmer tried for a pinfall, Bentley attempted to fast count the champion down & rob him of the belt. Thankfully, RVD was not as hurt as they thought & he managed to kick out. Bentley let the rules get bent (sometimes flat out broken) when RVD brought a chair into the ring. Instead of using it as a weapon, however, he used it as a platform to take off & hit Whitmer with a spin kick. From there, RVD took complete control of the match, and had it just about won when he hit Rolling Thunder on the challenger. He then mounted the top turnbuckle & landed the 5 Star Frog Splash on Whitmer, but, Bentley made a painfully slow count that allowed his War Games partner to kick out. Whitmer battled back & took the fight to the arena floor. Both men traded shots, with Whitmer finally getting the better of it. Whitmer rolled the champion back into the ring & just as he hit a missile dropkick on RVD, Danny Doring came running to the ring armed with a chair. As Whitmer made his cover & Bentley started his count, Doring got into the ring & hit Whitmer across the back with the chair, giving Bentley no choice but to dq the champ. Doring cleared the ring of Whitmer & Bentley with the help of the champion as the show went off the air.
