Sanders welcomes everyone to the premier edition of Georgia Wrestling. John Good continues by stating that Georgia State Wrestling is sanctioned by the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission and that what you see go on at other promotions will not go on here, Just pure wrestling. Sanders then says they have a special guest tonight. A wrestling legend to help them kick of the night and introduced Brad Armstrong. The Georgia Native comes down to the table to modest applause and takes a seat. He thanks them both for having him there for tonights action but before he gets to far "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards comes down to the ring and interrupts. Edwards wonders why they are talking to this fossil from the past when they should be talking to to him the future of the sport. Armstrong tells Sanders that it's punks like Edwards who don't respect the past and thank those who made it possible for him to make a living at wrestling today. Edwards stood up and asked who the hell he was calling a punk? Armstrong not backing down stood up as well. Both Sanders and Edwards tried to calm things down. Armstrong yelled any time he wanted a lesson in respect just let him know, Edwards yelled back that he's not in the business of crippling old people and started to walk away. Armstrong yelled "I'll show you old!" and attacked Edward at the desk. Sanders yelled for security as the scene is switched backstage to Judy Smith Backstage Judy Smith has Georgia State Wrestling Commissioner Ron Sharkey who talks about upcoming events, June 28th back at Phillips Arena there will be a 8 man tournament to crown the GAEC Tri-Cities champion The month after that the Georgia State Tag Team Titles will be crowned in a 8 team tag Tournament. Judy thanks the Commissioner and sends it back to the announce table. Armstrong talks about his past and about not backing down from anything or anyone. He finished by saying that the wrestlers today show no respect for what the previous generation did to make wrestling what it is today and after tonight at least one wrestler learn to respect his elders. Armstrong has demanded a rematch next month but has yet to be cleared by officials to wrestle. Eddie Edwards asked if he would fight Brad Armstrong again said through his spokesman that Edwards feel that it is not in the best interest of Armstrong to continue this fight. Eddie is focused on one thing and one thing only and thats winning the Georgia State Heavyweight title in three months. More on this story later. Negotiations with Mase has come to a standstill and both sides have decided to part ways when Mase's contract expires next month. Mase will be entered into the Tri-Cities Title Tournament next month and should be interesting to see how things shake out if Mase wins the tournament and walks away with the title. It is also reported due to scheduling conflicts, Chris Hero has decided not to renew his contract with Georgia State Wrestling. Hero has said that once his schedule clears out he will be happy to return to GSW. We tried to get a comment from his tag team partner Claudio Castagnoli but he just said no comment. The card for June 28th has been announced and it's setting up to be one tough tournament.
