(NWA) National Wrestling Alliance

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The thread starts here! I, Superstar Jimi C. came up with a new circuit, I decided to come out with one I grew up watching in my teenage years, but with a new twist. Bring back Jim Crockett Promotions and World Championship Wrestling. One of the new things we have will be a six-sided ring. I know TNA started it, but we are revitalizing that ring. We are going to have 3 championships in this promotion:

- NWA World Heavyweight Champion
- NWA United States Heavyweight Champion
- NWA World Tag Team Champions

Also the headquarters for NWA and Jim Crockett Promotions are in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA.

No current WWE or TNA stars will be part of the NWA. Also no WWE or TNA employees either, that includes ECW.

I have brought back to NWA 8 Legends and 3 current wrestlers to the promotion:
- MAGNUM T.A. (Former 2-time U.S. Champion)
- RONNIE GARVIN (Former NWA Champion)
- TULLY BLANCHARD (Former NWA TV & U.S. Champion)
- THE BARBARIAN
- JIMMY VALIANT
- IVAN KOLOFF
- NIKITA KOLOFF
- PAUL HEYMAN (manager)
- "Scrap Iron" ADAM PEARCE
- JOEY "Magnum" RYAN
- KARL ANDERSON

The talent is up to you. Who do you the fans want to see join the new NWA? I'll take the 14 best wrestlers with all the votes (13 wrestlers - 1 manager). Past or Present. Sorry NO CURRENT WWE, TNA or deceased wrestlers. Let me know soon on this post.
Larry MondelloPosted on 02/29/08 at 06:58:36

Got to have Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, the Midnight Express!
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 02/29/08 at 07:02:36

The Midnight Express (Eaton, Lane and/or Dennis Condrey) I can have, but the bad news is this. They can't have Jim Cornette, due to his contract with TNA as part of TNA management.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 02/29/08 at 07:16:39

The Midnight Express (Beautiful Bobby Eaton & Sweet Stan Lane) have officially signed with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Making a total of 12 wrestlers & 1 manager. NWA needs to sign 12 more wrestlers to make a total of 24. Past or Present. Please, No WWE, TNA or deceased wrestlers. Magnum T.A. is our Franchise wrestler as he signed for 52 cards.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 02/29/08 at 08:02:42

Another announcement on the first day of the revised NWA. World Championship Wrestling telecast have signed a TV deal with Superstation TBS. Every Saturday night for 2 hours from 9:00pm to 11:05 pm.
rey619Posted on 02/29/08 at 08:09:58

Larry Sweeney as a mouthpiece.
CarlzillaPosted on 02/29/08 at 12:09:50

I'll take Minoru Tanaka and Minoru Fujita...Minoru Super Plus!

(Yes, I know they've never teamed in real life. They did however team extensively in my old TNM feds.)

You can also add the third member of the team...Minoru Kanyon if you want.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 02/29/08 at 13:25:39

I also failed to mention last night, former WWE & TNA wrestlers currently not under contract are allowed to be part of the wrestlers that you vote on as well. Remember, Please No Current WWE, TNA or Deceased wrestlers.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 02/29/08 at 13:36:51

"Sweet & Sour" Larry Sweeney has officially signed with the NWA as the new manager for Joey "Magnum" Ryan & Karl Anderson. Minoru Tanaka & Minoru Fujita have officially signed with the NWA as they are collectively known as Minoru Super Plus. That's 14 wrestlers and 2 managers. I only need 10 more wrestlers to make 24.

Shouldn't you hire the roster you want instead of relying on us, the fans?

I imagine the thought process is that you'll be more apt to read it if you had some input in the foundation of the circuit. How will the Superstar write the guys you want to see?

We're already at two pages and no cards have been released. I'd be more apt to read a card if there were actual results released. He's done this before many times.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 02/29/08 at 16:54:33

It would take the fun out of it. I just want to run a circuit based on the talent that you would want to see in the NWA. I'm doing this for you "The Fans".
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 02/29/08 at 16:56:10

The latest wrestler to sign with the NWA is...
Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. After all, he's a Former NWA United States Champion and co-holder of the NWA World Tag Team Champions.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 02/29/08 at 17:27:44

Three more wrestlers signed with the NWA...
Rock & Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) who are former 4-time NWA World Tag Team Champions. The other signee is Jerry Lynn, who is a Former 2-time
co-holder of the NWA World Tag Team Champions. How do you like that for some signed wrestlers? That's 18 wrestlers, 6 more then i'll have 24.
Larry MondelloPosted on 02/29/08 at 17:46:00

I'm digging this tag team division you've got going here, but I don't see any real power tag teams.  I'm thinking maybe you should sign Meng/Haku who can team up with the Barbarian as the Faces of Fear.  I always liked that team.  And how about throwing Kevin Sullivan into the mix?  He can manage the Faces of Fear and double as a wrestler.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 02/29/08 at 18:10:53

Kevin Sullivan, Meng, Tommy "Wildfire" Rich, Quicksilver and manager, Jimmy Hart have all signed with the NWA. That's 22 wrestlers, we need two more wrestlers to make 24.

This thread is on its second page & all we have so far is hype. When will we see a show?
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 03/01/08 at 05:06:35

Either tonight or tomorrow. I have to sign 2 more wrestlers yet, but within the next two days the first card will happen so count on tomorrow. My plan was to have the show every Saturday Night, you know, the old-World Championship Wrestling way. So no, it's not all hype, promoting a card takes creativity. But you guys don't get it.

I know I don't get it.

Insulting your audience always is a good way to get readers.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 03/01/08 at 06:41:40

I apologize if I insulted my fans. I won't let that happen again. But tomorrow will be my first card. I'll give you a hint about the card. The main event will be a (20-man) Battle Royal to determine the first NWA World Heavyweight Champion. How do you guys like that for starters?
Larry MondelloPosted on 03/01/08 at 06:52:25

I like it.  I'm pulling for Ivan Koloff.  He beat Bruno Sammartino for the WWF belt, and I think he'd make a great NWA heel champion as well.
JustinCaseYouForgotPosted on 03/30/08 at 15:07:34

Man this was a good title.
JustinCaseYouForgotPosted on 05/02/08 at 00:28:41

What ever happened to this?

It WAS all hype.  JimiC has turned his back on the fans. :(
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 05/02/08 at 03:47:41

I didn't turn my back on the fans. I gave up on that and started running the UWF.
megatron_85Posted on 05/02/08 at 04:20:21

can i run the nwa?
JustinCaseYouForgotPosted on 05/02/08 at 04:38:48

Only if you keep it in the proper time period

I don't know. I mean, you have some pretty big shoes to fill. Think you can do it? I assume that we, the fans, have to come up with a list of wrestlers for you and might even have to write and simulate the cards too, right? Let me know.

No, we have the MatchMaker-plugin for that. And you don't have to write a lot either, just copy and paste. It's old school, without angles where everything can happen.

Thanks for letting me know this. Are there any rules for this?

Including things like the 'bed of thumbtacks' match. You can't tell me you never saw the one that Lou Thesz and Hardboiled Haggarty did in the 50's.
JerokuPosted on 05/03/08 at 06:02:19

I'm sure I saw gillberg and Barry Horowitz job in 1 or 2
DJ UnrightPosted on 05/06/08 at 21:36:36

Best fed thread ever.

I think posting a card would actually ruin this whole concept.
blslivewirePosted on 05/07/08 at 02:54:11

It's a lot like that fed that will give Vince a run for his money that Hulk Hogan is always meaning to start.

I really don't want to pile on but the line was there.
