NAWA Blinded By Fury 2005 Preview:

On February 13th, the megastars of the New Age Wrestling Alliance will be Blinded by Fury, as we return to Pay Per View, with a blockbuster triple main event along with many other matches.

NAWA International Title Match:
Jerry Lynn vs. Miles Stylish(c)

For a year, these two men were teammates in the Triumvirate and now they are enemies. Miles Stylish is the upstart young athlete who has set the wrestling world on fire ever since coming to the New Age Wrestling Alliance. Jerry Lynn is the veteran. As noted, they were partners but that parternship dissolved when Stylish attacked Jerry Lynn, putting him on the shelf for the past month. Lynn returns, perhaps a bit prematurely, but ready to gain some revenge on Stylish. On the last Glory, Lynn has told Stylish, who has held the NAWA International Title for the past year, that he wants Stylish at his best. No doubt Stylish will be as these two former partners and former NAWA Tag Team Champions collide for the NAWA International Title.

Prediction:

NAWA World Title Match:
Teddy Hart vs. Harry Harris(c)

Harry Harris captured the NAWA World Title after a long layoff last year at the last event of the year, StarClash 04 but one man in particular set his sights on making his title reign rather shortlived. That man is of course Teddy Hart. The Harts are one of the storied families in wrestling, having held a number of championships, and Teddy Hart is no different, holding the NAWA Cruiserweight Title for thirteen months, the longest reigning champion in NAWA history. This feud began over a month ago when Teddy Hart pinned Harry Harris in a non title match, and declared himself to be more or less, "the uncrowned NAWA World Champion." He further impressed in the Luck of the Draw Match, by making it to the final three, despite drawing number one and beat NAWA International Champion of Miles Stylish in a number one contenders match. Yet no victory was greater than the victory that Teddy Hart scored over Ron Waterman, becoming the second man to beat him in a one on one bout. Hart has been on a roll recently and not even the World Champion can stop him but don't count out Harry Harris, as he has had his back against the wall before and came out on top. This championship encounter will be one to watch.

Prediction:

Scott Steiner vs. Ron Waterman
Make no mistake about it, these two men are among the toughest in the World of professional wrestling. Scott Steiner is the second man ever to hold the NAWA World Championship, beating Jeff Jarrett for the title before losing the belt on the same night to Shane Douglas. Ron Waterman perhaps may be the most dominant NAWA World Champion ever, holding the belt for eight months and defeating all challengers. These two have had their share of altercations over the past couple of weeks, most recently a brawl that started during a tag team match on Glory this past week and spilled into the backstage area, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to the back before these two bruisers were done with each other. Regardless of the outcome of this match, Ron Waterman has an NAWA World Championship match at Reality Check on March 20th against whomever the champion is, but no doubt Scott Steiner would elevate his status well by a strong showing or even a victory over Ron Waterman. You do not want to miss this slobberknocker, folks!

Prediction:

Winner Receives an NAWA International Title Shot at Reality Check
Christopher Daniels vs CM Punk vs Tony Mamaluke vs Raven

This match can be summed up in three sentences. Raven and Punk hate each other. Raven and Daniels hate each other. Everyone hates Tony Mamaluke. Add into the fact that there's an NAWA International Title shot hanging in the balance,  to the hatred these four men have and this bout may be the sleeper match of the night.

Prediction:

NAWA Cruiserweight Championship No Time Limit:
Bryan Danielson vs. AJ Styles(c)

For two years, AJ Styles chased the NAWA Cruiserweight Title through three different champions(Jimmy Yang, Teddy Hart, and CM Punk), before finally winning the title from Punk in a Last Man Standing Match at StarClash 04. Around that match, Bryan Danielson made his NAWA debut, running over the competition, which lead to a battle between these two great athletes at Luck of the Draw. A match that went the full sixty minute time limit, just as Danielson had knocked out Styles. This time, these two men will compete with no time limit, battling for the NAWA Cruiserweight Title.

Prediction:

NAWA Television Title Match:
Rapmaster Killings vs. Sedrick Skyhawk(c)(w/Candace Sweet and Bruno)

Skyhawk entered the New Age Wrestling Alliance with great hype, much to the distaste of the fans, who have grown to hate his pompous and quite lazy ways. The fact that he beat a fan favorite in Rapmaster Killings to capture the NAWA Television Championship further raised their hatred. His shrill valley girl publicist and the fact that Skyhawk hides behind a big muscled goon also added to the hatred of the fans. In fact, Skyhawk has refused to defend the NAWA Television Title other than the bare minimum of once per month. And it so happens, his month is up, as he's going to put the title on the line against the former three time NAWA Television Champion and the man he stole the title from, Rapmaster Killings. It's the rematch from Skyhawk's title victory, at Blinded By Fury!

Prediction:

NAWA World Tag Team Title Match:
Matt Bentley and Chris Sabin vs Armageddon and Destruction of the Archangels of Anarchy(w/Desdomia)(c)

Ever since joining forces about a year ago, Bentley and Sabin have proven to be one of the top teams in the New Age Wrestling Alliances. On the other hand, the Archangels of Anarchy hold the distinction as the top tag team, as they've held the NAWA World Tag Team Titles, capturing the belts against Rapmaster Killings and Raven at StarClash 04 in a controversal match. Still, Bentley and Sabin have proved to be dominant over the champions, beating them in a pair of singles match and in a six man tag over the past few weeks. The next step is of course the NAWA World Tag Team Titles but the Archangels of Anarchy are not going to give up without a fight. The NAWA World Tag Team Titles are on the line at Blinded by Fury 2005!

Prediction:

Tag Team Turmoil Match for an NAWA World Tag Team Title Shot at Reality Check:
Featuring the team of Elix Skipper and Petey Williams, El Dandy and Twizted Youth, Johnny Excalibur and Hi Tech, Norman Smiley and Spanky, Simon Diamond and Alex Shelley, and the Rottweilers(Homicide and Low Ki)(w/Julius Smokes)

New Jack threw open the invite on the suggestion of the Rottweilers' manager Julius Smokes, for any tag team to sign up for a tag team turmoil match and this is the match we have. Two teams will start out and when one team gets beaten, another tag team comes out, until all the teams but one lose. And the last team standing will earn an NAWA World Tag Team Title Match.

Prediction:

Debut Attraction: Samoa Joe vs. Austin Aries

Last year, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin made their NAWA debuts against each other at Blinded by Fury, and this year, two more great prospects come to the NAWA, competing against each other in their first bout in the NAWA.

NAWA International Title Match:
Jerry Lynn vs. Miles Stylish(c)

Prediction: Miles Stylish - It's too early for Lynn's revenge to be finished. The storyline still has legs to it. This will probably have a screwjob ending of some type. But Stylish will still have the belt.

NAWA World Title Match:
Teddy Hart vs. Harry Harris(c)

Prediction: Teddy Hart - Kinda a wild card guess. Teddy would be an interesting way to shake things up.

Scott Steiner vs. Ron Waterman

Prediction: Ron Waterman - Steiner is just a stepping stone on this one. Waterman's destined for higher things.

Winner Receives an NAWA International Title Shot at Reality Check
Christopher Daniels vs CM Punk vs Tony Mamaluke vs Raven

Prediction: Damn. Four Ways are always tough to call. I leaning towards Raven managing to pull off the surprise win.

NAWA Cruiserweight Championship No Time Limit:
Bryan Danielson vs. AJ Styles(c)

Prediction: I predict this might steal the show. AJ Styles to retain, though.

NAWA Television Title Match:
Rapmaster Killings vs. Sedrick Skyhawk(c)(w/Candace Sweet and Bruno)

Prediction: Sedrick Skyhawk retains.

NAWA World Tag Team Title Match:

Prediction: Samoa Joe -- Although I'd be really happy if Aries won, but it seems everything likes to push Joe as the unstoppable monster.
