A fun little fed using in part a famous set of rules. please be aware of some things:

I know that some wrestlers featured were not wrestling in 84 or had a different gimmick.
All title matches run un booked.
Starting roster was picked 100% by the "M" key.
All new hires are brought in using the "M" key.
I'm not going for accuracy just the feel of the time.

Enjoy!

* Solie welcomes everyone to Southern Wrestling and talks last weeks North American tournament. He then introduces the new heavyweight champion Mexico's own, Dos Caras.

The masked Lutadore comes out to the small crowd with the title around his waist. He thanks the crowd for being so supportive and thanks the American's for welcoming him. Before they could go any further, Wayne Bloom came to the desk and interrupted the interview. Bloom sarcastically welcomes Dos Caras to his country and tells him that Americans consider him the greatest. This brings out some boos from the crowd. Bloom asks then demands that Dos Caras give him a title shot later tonight. Dos Caras looks to the crowd and asks if he should but Bloom gets upset and slaps him saying He was talking to you not them. Dos Caras not only accepts the challenge but will embarrass Bloom in a way he has never been before. Solie wraps things up and says it looks like we have our main event.

Bo, tremendous group of people you have. It's tough getting over a foreign champion but Dos Caras is growing on me. It's incredible that the finals were him and Tom Zenk, haha! I even like Wayne Bloom as Dos Caras's first challenger.

The Old school ruleset is also a great one and should be tried as well

Thanks, one of the fun things about the rules is you have no control over who comes in and sometimes you find a diamond. For those who are not familiar with Dos Caras, you can find some of his matches on Youtube, He was a fan favorite and is considered one of the greatest Mexican Heavyweights in history. Very technical. was happy when he came along.

* Solie welcomes everyone to Southern Wrestling and is about to run down tonight's card when a very upset Wayne Bloom comes to the desk. Before Solie could ask him anything, Bloom told him to shut up and just sit there because what he had to say wont take long. Solie mumbled kind of like your match last week. Bloom asked him what did he just say? But Solie said nothing and told him the floor was his. Bloom said that what happened last week was a fluke, a one time event. Dos Caras blind sided him. Bloom then said that since everyone thinks what happened last week ment something and the fact he knows that "Those people" across the border don't make much, he is putting $1000 dollars up that Dos Caras can not repeat what he did last week. He turned to Solie and said he heard what he said earlier and it wasn't funny!

Solie tried to speak but Bloom told him to shut up he wasn't finished. Bloom continued by saying that obviously there is no way in haven he can be beat in under 1 minute so he will be sporting and make it 2.

Once Solie had control of the show again he broke the main event down. Wayne Bloom has put up $1,000 dollars of his money against Dos Caras North American title. If Dos Caras wins the match in under 2 minutes he will take home the money, if Bloom wins he keeps his money and walks away the new North American champion. Folks it gets no better then this!

Dos Caras went up to Solie's desk where the money was in a briefcase and slung the title over his shoulder and picked up the case he grabbed the mic and wanted to think Mr. Bloom for his very generous gift. This money will help put a new hospital in my home village. Bloom was so mad you could see smoke.

You can tell this isn't Memphis because Lawler can't catch a break.
Rick GarrardPosted on 01/12/08 at 01:06:37

or Corey Maclin is booking it (as present day).  ;)

i.e. Maclin now suing Lawler and Vince McMahon over deal that kept Lawler from facing Hogan in Memphis where Maclin lost a huge amount a money because he had to substitute "The Big Show" in place of Lawler, mainly cause Hogan owns Big Show.

How are you figuring the attendance? You said that title matches are unbooked but does that apply also to matches not involving a title?
