MWWA Carnage
March 14, 2009
Kemper Arena
Kansas City, Missouri

Batista starts off the program saying that tonight is the last night of his quest to the Heavyweight Title; and that it just happens to land on Justin Credible's name. Batista tells the Kansas City crowd that there is no person he'd rather beat to earn a shot at the title, than Justin Credible. He calls Credible despicable - stemming from his theft of the Heavyweight Title two weeks ago - and says that if Credible doesn't want to step up and face him, then it shows his true colors. Batista is then interrupted by Commissioner Rod Kobyrn who announces that Batista will be facing Justin Credible tonight... but in a TAG TEAM match. Kobyrn tells Batista that he will team up with Heavyweight Champion, Kenta Kobashi to face Trent Acid and Justin Credible. Kobyrn also tells Batista that, after Chaos, next week on Carnage, he will face Justin Credible either for the Heavyweight Title or for a chance to face Kenta Kobashi in two weeks. Kobyrn then wishes Batista a good evening before leaving the ring.

Backstage, after the match, Rex Butler is seen entering the Kemper Arena, as a few of the men and women backstage give him stares and dirty looks. He shrugs off the glances and makes his way to his locker room, where he is stopped at the door by Missy. Missy says she wants a good reason as to why Rex left her stranded in Minneapolis last week. Rex says that he's sorry and that he was just so focused on the Television Title match at Chaos that he didn't think about it. Missy says that's no excuse and that she wants to know what Rex has been up to. Rex says that he just got into town and that he wants to relax before they talk things through. Missy shakes her head as Rex enters the locker room.

Also, in the back, Justin Credible is seen entering the arena with the MWWA Heavyweight Title draped over his shoulder, which receives a loud "boo" from the crowd. As he makes his way down the hallway, he is confronted by Trent Acid. Acid informs Credible about the tag team match signed for tonight's main event; Credible says that if everything works out like it did last week, they will head into Chaos with a victory.

After the match, Carolyn Rand confronts Rex Butler backstage, and asks his opinion on facing Halloween for the Television Title at CHAOS. Butler says that he has worked long and hard to get where he is, and that at CHAOS, he would fulfill the commitment he made to himself, and win the Television Title. But, he tells Carolyn that he won't stop at just being Television Champion... and that one day, he plans on being the top man in the MWWA. Carolyn then asks Rex about the situation between himself and Missy. Rex says that it's none of her - or anyone's - business, and that things will get taken care of in due time.

Batista confronts Heavyweight Champion, Kenta Kobashi backstage, and tells him that tonight will be the night that they can send a message to Justin Credible and Trent Acid. Batista also says that it doesn't matter who has the title after CHAOS, because "the Animal" will soon be carrying the belt over his shoulder.

Commissioner Kobyrn then says that the winning team will receive their title shot once Cloudy is medically clear to wrestle.

I'm not confused but do as you see fit. It is your promotion. Another good card as we spiral into Chaos.

Two questions ... who is Rex Butler and where does he wrestle? I'm not familiar with him though I am enjoying the angle.

There it is ... Match of the night. If only Batista would go away. ;D

Predictions:
Justin Credible with the win.

Rex Butler wins the title.

Masao Orihara & Yuji Nagata

Trent Acid

Rex Butler is actually a character I created for an e-fed I was in a few years ago. I just took the character and put him into TNM so I could see how "I" would do...

rey619Posted on 02/28/08 at 11:19:17

It would have been nice to at least have some short comments on the matches, at least for the main event / overcard. You don't need hold for hold descriptions, but the format as is leaves a lot of questions.

Why were Ace Steel disqualified? How were Skipper counted out? And for what possible reason did Kobashi no-show, when he was in a backstage segment just minutes ago?
wicked_rexPosted on 02/28/08 at 13:00:46

Ah, I see what you're saying...  I'll make sure to have some sort of summary overview at the end of the next card.

Give the man a card to get that answered ... it is possible that he was attacked backstage or possibly locked inside a bathroom. If we get no answer by next card, then let's string him up! GET THE PITCHFORKS!  ;D

Geez, people! There is a reason given in the PPV... which will hopefully be posted fairly soon...

Backstage, Kenta Kobashi enters the arena with his interpreter, and is asked by Carolyn Rand about his surprising no-show during the main event on Carnage last week. Kobashi speaks in Japanese, which the interpreter translates to "Kenta was very upset at a phone call he received moments before last week's main event, in which a member of his family in Japan was seriously injured in a car accident. Kenta says that he would not be able to wrestle at his full potential with that knowledge in his mind." When asked if he would be able to defend the title tonight, against Justin Credible, Kobashi nodded in head, and in English says, "yes."

Trent Acid pinned B-Boy after a screwdriver in 10:42.

Backstage, Carolyn Rand finds Rex Butler getting ready for his Television Title match against Halloween. Rex says that he's been looking forward to this night since he became Number One Contender, and that nothing is going to stand in his way of winning the Television Title. Carolyn Rand asks if that includes Missy, Rex quickly turns around and says that Missy knows what's at stake tonight. Sure, we've had our issues, but tonight... I think she'd know better then to cost me the Television Title. But, if she does, she knows that tonight will be the last night she comes down to the ring with me... ever!

Match Observations:

Al Snow and Aaron Draven started off the event tonight, with a very good match that saw both men earn the respect of the Birmingham crowd. With some more work in the ring, Draven should climb the ladder rather quickly, whereas Al Snow is looking for a final hurrah in the MWWA.

B-Boy made his debut tonight, taking on a very determined Trent Acid. It looked as if the newcomer had the advantage early on in the match, but Acid's experience got the better of the rookie as he picked up the victory.

Ryo Saito and Elix Skipper grabbed their chance at another shot the Tag Team Titles tonight, in a match that saw two big surprises: Jay Briscoe's failed attempt to interfere against Yuji Nagata, and the surprise attack on Jay Lethal by Alan Stone! Stone's interference led to Lethal and Perry Saturn getting eliminated first, but then Nagata and Orihara's dreams of becoming #1 Contenders quickly ended afterwards as Nagata was taken by surprised by a faceslam from Saito.

Missy did the unthinkable tonight, interfering in Rex Butler's match, getting him disqualified and losing his chance to become Television Champion. After the match, Halloween escaped with the TV Title as Rex stood, dumbfounded, in the ring. Missy walked away mouthing "screw you" to Rex as she did. Missy left the stage as Rex slowly stood up and shook his head, sadistically smiling to the crowd.

For the second time in three weeks, Trent Acid and Batista both made the presences known at ringside. However, this time, Batista kept Justin Credible from winning his fourth Heavyweight Title as Trent Acid came up short on trying to help his new-found friend the belt he's been longing for. After the match, the four men brawled until the end of the program where, to the live audience, it was announced that tomorrow night, Justin Credible will be Batista's final opponent in his quest for the gold... and that the match will take place inside a steel cage. It's also announced that Trent Acid will face Kenta Kobashi in a non-title match.
JeepGuyPosted on 02/29/08 at 05:33:36

Nice card though Justin Credible didn't walk away with the belt. He can take out his frustration on Batista next.

With Missy gone, we'll see where Rex goes next.
rey619Posted on 02/29/08 at 08:08:17

I think it's far more interesting now that you have show notes. Nice job!
