("Medal" plays as we start tonight's Ground Zero with the GWA World Champion, Kurt Angle. The crowd chants "Kurt sucks" in tune with the music. Angle is annoyed initially but takes it in stride. He steps through the ropes and gets a mic.)

KA: Whoo! Last week, I proved yet again why I deserve to wear this title around. I faced Lance Storm, a wrestler's wrestler and yet again, I was the man with his hand raised. So now I'm looking to next Sunday and the Gauntlet. Six men will enter and one will leave the World Champion. And I see absolutely no reason to believe that won't be me. I've taken on anybody who's wanted to face me. I've beat the Rock twice, I pinned Taz, I knocked Chris Benoit out. I even lowered myself and gave the likes of Joel Maximo a shot at the belt. But no one could take it away. And why? Because no one is better than me. Oh it's true...it's true.

("Master of Puppets" by Metallica then plays as Doug Williams walks down to the ring. He grabs a mic and rolls under the ropes.)

DW: What are you talking about Kurt? You want to harp on your gold medal. And sure, that's impressive, but it doesn't change the face that you could've been overtaken. And you have been by me. Like I've said, I kept honing my craft until there was no one left on the entire continent of Europe that was a challenge to me. So I came here. And since some of the so-called best have chosen to run away with their tails between their legs rather than face me, you're my main target. You...and the World Title. See, I'm sick and tired of people thinking wrestling is centered in the US. When I beat you, I'll show that not even the best in the US can stand up to me.

("Them Bones" by Alice in Chains then plays as Ken Shamrock walks down the aisle. He steps through the ropes and grabs the mic from Angle.)

KS: You're sick and tired? I'm sick of you two guys. Always talking about how you're the best wrestler. It doesn't matter. In the Gauntlet match, rest assured, both of you are going to get hurt. Williams, you made a deal to get into this match. I went through 30 other people to get where I am. Do you really think I'm not bringing my all? You don't realize then when you're in the ring with me, one false move means your ankle gets snapped.

DW: That's your problem then. You assume I make mistakes.

("Swamp Thing" by Juno Reactor then plays as Taz walks down the aisle with a mic in hand.)

Taz: What I hear right now is a lot of nothing. Kurt thinks he's gonna win. Williams thinks he's gonna win. Shamrock, you think you'll win. Me? Of course I think I'm winning.

(Taz gets in the ring and walks up to Angle.)

Taz: But where I'm different? I'll show you why.

(Taz headbutts Angle in the face and then starts punching him. Williams and Shamrock start brawling as well. Soon enough, Ultimo Dragon and AJ Styles run down the aisle and enter the ring as well, turning this opening segment into a six-way fight. Eventually, Tully Blanchard walks to the entryway to stop this.)

TB: That's enough! If you guys want to fight so much, you can do it later on tonight. Pair up in tag teams, I really don't care how, and in the main event tonight, we'll have a triangle match between the teams. Now get out of the ring. You're holding up the show.

(The six men look at each other warily as we go to the back with the Dynasty [minus AJ Styles obviously].)

Steve Corino: Rock, Rock, Rock...last week, the King of Old School Steve Corino decided to go easy on you. You and Taz faced me and Rhyno, and after a while, I decided to just walk away. Let you have your moment. Besides, there's no reason to give away the sight of Steve Corino pinning the Rock. No, let's let everybody pay for that privledge. So I was content to walk to the back after giving you a taste of what you were in for at Day of the Dead. But Rhyno? He was furious. And I suppose that's my fault. The King of Old School Steve Corino made a decision on the fly. I didn't talk it over with him. I didn't let Rhyno know beforehand. And he still wants more. Isn't that right Rhyno?

Rhyno: I want to GORE him!

SC: That's right. So earlier in the week Rock, I went to Tully Blanchard and I requested a match between you and Rhyno to make up for it. I've heard you accepted. I'm glad. Because the King of Old School Steve Corino will get to have a front-row seat as Rhyno splits you in two with the...

Rhyno: GORE!

Christian: And one more thing. Lance Storm, you've wanted a piece of the Dynasty for a while now. And all because we said you weren't good enough to join. And let's face it, you just aren't. You aren't transcendant. You aren't charismatic. But at Day of the Dead, I have nothing to do right now. So I'll show you exactly what the Dynasty means and just how far you are from being mentioned in the same breath as us. Think of it as charity Lance. And to answer that lingering question in your head: why am I doing this? Because that's just how I roll.

(The camera cuts to the ring where "Knife Prty" by Deftones plays as Matt Hardy walks down to the ring to some boos. Hardy's been taking losing increasingly poorly over the last two weeks, first kicking various objects around ringside after losing to Kanyon and then throwing Paul London over the top rope to the floor last week. He steps through the ropes and gets a mic.)

MH: Last week, I came out and apologized to all my fans for my actions. This week, I'm doing the same thing. It's a week-by-week process. I'm trying to become a better person for all my fans, all the little Mattitude Followers out there. I can only hope you all stand by me as I go through this. And I promise you, I'm doing everything in my power to make sure that nothing like what's happened the last two weeks happens again.

("Spine" by Tiamat then plays as Paul London runs down the aisle. He's looking for some payback after what happened last week. London runs right past the fans looking for handslaps and slides under the bottom rope to start the match.)

[Matt Hardy vs. Paul London]

London rushes Hardy to start the match and tackles him to the mat, pounding him with punches. The ref pulls London off and Hardy scrambles to his feet. London runs at Hardy and smacks him with a forearm, then whips him into the corner. He follows him in and jumps to bring him down with a monkey flip, but Hardy holds on and puts London on the top rope. He smacks him with a couple punches to the face and then pulls him down by his hair, slamming him facefirst to the mat. London gets up slowly holding his face, allowing Hardy to grab him from behind and throw him shoulderfirst onto the ringpost. London rolls over holding his arm and Hardy stomps him repeatedly in the affected area. Hardy drags London over to the ropes and grapevines his arm in the ropes, driving his knee into the arm. The ref makes him break the hold, but Hardy drops a fist on London's head. The ref admonishes Hardy as he brings London to his feet and whips him into the ropes. He tries to land a lariat, but London ducks under and hits a spinning leg lariat on the rebound. Both men get up and London knocks him down with the dropsault, making a cover for two. London brings Hardy back to his feet, but Hardy pops him with a punch to the stomach. He rocks him with a headbutt, then puts him down with the Side Effect. He makes the cover, but London kicks out at two. Hardy gets to his feet and extends London's arm before dropping a leg on it. He gets up, bringing London to his feet, and punches him directly on the shoulder. London bends over to deal with the pain and Hardy follows with some forearms to the shoulder. He grabs and lifts him for a vertical suplex, but London kicks his feet and forces Hardy to put him down. Hardy lifts him up again, but London manages to roll him up in a small package and hold him for three.

Paul London pinned Matt Hardy after a small package in 0:06:25.
Rating: *** 1/4

London wins again! Hardy gets up in a huff, but London slides out of the ring and backs up the ring clapping. He holds up two fingers at Hardy while Hardy glares at him. Hardy runs his hands through his hair and threatens to hit the referee, but thinks better of it and leaves the ring.

(We go to the back where AJ Styles is walking in the back.)

Man: Hey. Wait up a second.

(Styles turns around to find Kurt Angle.)

KA: Do you want to be my partner for tonight?

AS: Sure, no problem. It doesn't matter who I'm teamed with. I am excellence itself.

KA: ...right. Anyway, I feel you're one of the few trustworthy guys in the GWA and you're my first choice.

AS: Of course I am. I have this *pats his Tag Team Title*. That means that I'm the best tag team wrestler in the sport. Anyone I team with will be raised to my level.

KA: Whoa, whoa. I'm a gold medallist. I'm the World champ. I don't get raised to anybody's level. They get raised to mine.

AS: If you say so. But just remember, in a week, I think it's time that the GWA gets a new World champion. Someone who's a little more...phenomenal.

(Styles walks away as Angle just shakes his head. We then go to the ring where "At the Helm" by Hieroglyphics plays as the Spanish Announce Team walk down the aisle. The Maximos have had their share of problems with their opponents tonight Liquid Sticks, who have been seemingly annoying everyone in the tag division since entering the GWA. The Maximos acknowledge the fans and hop over the top rope.

"Tell Me Why" by Paul Van Dyk plays as Liquid Sticks, Deranged and Spanky walk to the entryway. They dance their way down the aisle with Deranged insulting the fans as they go. These two teams have met in some singles matches and in a Scramble match at Fallout, but this is the first time the two teams have faced each other in a straightforward tag match. They enter the ring and Deranged spits at the Maximos. The referee separates the two teams and demands one man leave the ring from each team. This starts to happen and the bell rings.)

[The Spanish Announce Team vs. Liquid Sticks]

Jose and Spanky start out. They lock up and Spanky forces Jose into the ropes. He whips him across the ring and hiptosses him to the mat. Jose quickly spins on the mat and sweeps Spanky off his feet. He makes a cover for two, then Spanky sweeps Jose and covers for a two count of his own. Both men get up and Jose brings Spanky down with an armdrag. Spanky slides and stands up, then takes a charging Jose down with a Japanese armdrag. Jose gets up and Spanky catches him with an armdrag, keeping the arm hooked. Jose manages to get free and both men get to their feet. Jose punches Spanky in the face and whips him into the ropes, knocking him down with a shoulderblock. Jose then runs into the ropes to do more damage, but Deranged grabs him by the hair and pulls him to the mat. The ref scolds Deranged for doing that as Spanky gets to his feet and pops Jose with a leg lariat. Spanky tags in Deranged, who comes in with some stomps.  He starts to choke at Jose, but breaks when the ref gets to four. Deranged brings Jose up and tries to whip him across the ring, but Jose reverses it. Joel grabs Deranged by the hair and pulls him to the mat. The ref scolds Joel while Deranged gets up slowly. Jose hits Deranged with a series of right hands to force him into the corner, then tags in Joel. They whip Deranged into the ropes and bring him down with a double flapjack. Deranged pops back up to his knees, but Joel bounces into the ropes and hits him with a dropkick. He makes the cover, but Deranged gets a shoulder up at two. Joel brings Deranged to his feet and whips him into the ropes, throwing him in the air with a backdrop. Deranged goes screaming to the canvas and tries to roll out of the ring, but Joel stops him. He brings him to his feet and smashes his head into the turnbuckle, then tags in Jose. Deranged tries to move away from the corner, but Joel rocks himwith a couple forearms. He then places Deranged on the turnbuckle as Joel and Jose both stand on the middle rope. They grab him for the Spanish Fly, but Spanky comes in the ring and clubs Joel from behind. He then pushes Joel over the top rope and to the floor! The ref sends Spanky back to his corner, allowing Deranged to hit Jose with a low blow, knocking him off the turnbuckle and to the mat. Deranged scuttles off the turnbuckle and covers Jose. The ref is a little late to count and Jose is able to get a shoulder up for the near fall. Deranged stomps Jose repeatedly and then brings him to his feet. Jose has trouble standing, but Deranged props him up and hits him with a spinning thrust kick. He starts to run into the ropes, but Jose grabs his hair and drags him down to the mat before falling himself. Both men start to crawl to their corners to tag in their partners. Deranged tags in Spanky, who comes in to cut off Jose, but he's too late and Joel enters the ring, knocking Spanky down with a clothesline. Deranged runs back in, but Joel knocks him down with a right hand. Spanky gets up only to be whipped into the ropes and knocked down via a Joel dropkick. Deranged gets up, but sees Joel running at him and leaves the ring. Jose walks over and dives with a slingshot plancha, but Deranged moves out of the way, leaving Jose to hit the floor! Back in the ring, Joel tries to whip Spanky into the ropes, but it gets reversed, allowing Deranged to trip Joel as he hits the ropes. Joel kicks him away, but Spanky takes the opportunity to run and grab Joel by the neck, springing off the turnbuckles for the Sliced Bread #2! Spanky makes the cover for three.

Liquid Sticks defeated the Spanish Announce Team when Spanky pinned Joel with the Sliced Bread #2 in 0:07:35.
Rating: *** 1/4

And Liquid Sticks steal one away from the SAT! Joel fought hard, but he was too hurt after tumbling to the floor to kick out of the Sliced Bread #2. Spanky and Deranged leave the ring laughing as Jose starts to get to his feet. He walks over to the timekeeper and gets a mic, then rolls in the ring to stand over Joel, who's still on his back.

Jose: Deranged...Spanky, I've had it with you two. You want to keep cheating? You want to get in our faces? Well, next week, Day of the Dead...you get a partner, we'll get a partner, and we'll have a Six-Man scramble match! What do you say?

Deranged and Spanky look at each other and shrug. Spanky nods his head while Deranged yells unflattering things toward the Maximos. They head to the back while Jose helps Joel to his feet.

(We then go to a pretaped statement from Jerry Lynn.)

JL: CIMA, next Sunday night's been a long time coming. June 18th, 2005. The date's etched in my brain. And why? Because you did the most deliberately vicious act that I've seen in quite some time. And worse, you did it to me. I tweaked my knee and lost to Tajiri. And you came down to the ring afterward. To this day, I still don't know why. You knock Tajiri out of the ring and then it's just you and me. I'm on the ground holding my knee. I don't know you. I haven't talked to you. I haven't bothered you ever. But you still wrapped a chair around my knee, then came off the top rope and stomped on it. I can't even describe the pain that caused. And for what reason? Just to show you could? Let me tell you, that's the work of an evil, evil man.

But I rehabbed. Despite your best efforts, the injury was serious, but not too serious. I came back. And I attacked you. I hounded you. I'll admit, some people got in the way. It was unfortunate that Rey Misterio had to get that chairshot to the head, but he was collateral damage. I had to rid the GWA of you. And now, a little more than four months after the incident, our paths will cross in this grudge match. It's a fitting term. Grudge. You tried to take my livelihood for no reason and failed. Next Sunday, I will definitely succeed in ending your career. You know what the grudge match means? It means the rules are lax. There are still countouts and DQs certainly. But the referee understands some things may get out of hand. So your main advantage goes out the window. You surprise people with your brutality CIMA. But I see how you operate. And I spent years in ECW, I've seen that type of wrestler before. And I beat them just like I'll beat you. But like I said CIMA, this won't stop with just beating you. I won't be satisfied until you lose something that you cannot get back.

(We go to the ring where "Drought" by Pelican plays as Kanyon walks down the aisle with his new bodyguard Delirious in tow. Delirious is in loose chains around his wrists presumably to keep him from going nuts. Kanyon steps through the ring and gets a mic.)

Kanyon: Hey everybody! It's time once again for the Kanyon Challenge! Cause after all, who betta than Kanyon?

Fans: Everybody!

Kanyon: Nononononononono! How many times do you guys need to be told? Ain't nobody betta than Kanyon. But anyway, last week, the Kanyon Challenge became the Delirious Challenge and my boy made me proud by beating Tony Mamaluke and showing that I made a wise $500.26 investment when I hired him to be my bodyguard. He showed me that he can protect me from all the crazies. Guys like your Tazes or your CIMAs. But don't think for a second that the Kanyon Challenge is going to change. Because this ring is for sane people only! You must be able to pass an ink blot test in order to step into the ring with me. So now I'll open my ring up to anybody with the usual Taz/CIMA/MMW exceptions. Anybody who wants a piece of Kanyon, step on up.

(Kanyon waits while Delirious paces in a circle around him. After a few seconds, "Blue Flowers" by Dr. Octagon plays as Quiet Storm walks down the aisle, followed by the returning Trinity. Kanyon is clearly shocked by this. Kanyon and Storm were starting to become tag team partners when Kanyon quit the GWA earlier this year due to fearing for his safety against CIMA. Storm walks down the aisle and steps through the ropes.)

Kanyon: Hey buddy! So you came to see me beat up some chump who ain't betta than Kanyon?

(Storm shakes his head no.)

Kanyon: So this is really what you want, huh? Fine. But don't say I didn't try to let you of this.

(Trinity cheers on Storm as Kanyon tells Delirious to leave the ring. The timekeeper is about to ring the bell, but Kanyon stops him and leaves the ring. He covers Delirious's ears and nods to the timekeeper, who rings the bell.)

[Kanyon (w/Delirious) vs. Quiet Storm (w/Trinity)]

Kanyon gets back into the ring, but Storm lays into Kanyon with forearms before whipping him into the ropes, knocking him down with a jumping elbow thrust. Kanyon gets to his feet and backs into the corner, but Storm rushes after him, jumping on the middle turnbuckle and raining punches on his head. Trinity counts along, but Kanyon is able to lift him and then toss him facefirst onto the top turnbuckle. Storm holds his face in pain and Kanyon immediately goes after the area with a punch to the face. He whips Storm into the ropes and drops him with a kick to the head. Storm starts to get up, but Kanyon helps him up and dusts him off. Storm responds with a punch to the stomach followed by more forearms to the face. He whips Kanyon into the ropes and brings him down with a hiptoss. Kanyon gets up, only to walk right into an armdrag. Storm drops a bunch of knees into Kanyon's ribs as he holds the arm, but Kanyon is able to rake him in the eyes to get free. Storm tries to shake off the pain, but Kanyon takes the opportunity to grab him by the hair and throw him out of the ring. Kanyon takes a breather in the ring as Storm picks himself off the concrete. Delirious is in Storm's area, generally annoying him, but there's no confrontation and Storm reenters the ring. Storm runs at Kanyon, who takes the opportunity to slide out under the bottom rope. He regroups on the outside and calls Delirious over. Storm, however, runs into the ropes and interrupts the huddle by diving with a tope con hilo! Delirious runs out of the way, but Kanyon takes the impact head on. Storm rolls Kanyon back into the ring and enters, hooking the leg. Kanyon manages to kick out at two. Storm brings Kanyon to his feet and kicks him in the stomach and goes for a Rocker Dropper, but Kanyon lifts him higher in the air and counters with a power bomb. Instead of making the cover, Kanyon leans against the ropes to regain his breath. Storm gets up, but Kanyon kicks him in the stomach and drives him to the mat with a sitdown faceslam. He quickly makes the cover, but Storm gets a shoulder up for a near fall. Kanyon brings Storm to his feet and whips him into the ropes. He lifts him up, but Storm catches him with spinning headscissors. Kanyon slides for a bit, but gets to his feet and walks into a dropkick from Storm. Kanyon gets up and Storm knocks him down with a running elbowsmash. Kanyon tries to stand, but Storm surprises him with a Rocker Dropper for two. Storm paces around the ring as Kanyon gets up wobbily. Storm then charges and hits a couple forearms followed by the Roaring Elbow! Kanyon goes flying backward as Delirious goes nuts on the outside and runs around the ring, making Trinity run away in order to get away from the crazy man. Storm is distracted by this and doesn't make the cover, but tries to attack Delirious from inside the ring. Kanyon wobbily stands again and Storm rushes to do more damage, but Kanyon is able to drive him into the mat with the Flatliner. He then turns Storm over and covers for the three count.

[Kanyon Challenge]:
Kanyon pinned Quiet Storm with the Flatliner in 0:07:05.
Rating: *** 3/4

Kanyon wins and immediately slides out of the ring. He grabs Delirious by the wrist chains and heads to the back, dragging Delirious with him. He gets to the top of the ramp and motions for Delirious to raise his arm in victory. Delirious tries, but can't lift his arms high enough with the chains. Trinity meanwhile is in the ring checking on Storm. Kanyon just gives up after a few seconds and walks to the back where Delirious follows him.

(We go to the back where Taz is putting on his gear. Doug Williams walks up to him.)

Taz: What do you want?

DW: You should know by now. I want you to be my partner.

Taz: Don't want to ask anyone else?

DW: Even assuming Shamrock and Ultimo Dragon liked me, I wouldn't want them. Shamrock may be violent, but he doesn't have any discipline at all. I couldn't count on him.

Taz: And you think things will be different with me. Let me set the record straight: I don't like you.

DW: I don't like you much either. But I can get past it for one match. We win, and we show them all who the guys to beat are. And if we get some teamwork tonight, maybe we can show some teamwork next Sunday too.

Taz: ...fine. I'll be your partner tonight. But you better do your part too or you'll be just another victim.

DW: Don't worry about me. I wouldn't dream of lagging behind.

(We then cut to Red who's with Adam Bramledge.)

AB: Red, I...

(The Maximos run into the shot.)

Jose: Just the man I was looking for.

Red: What do you need?

Joel: You don't have a match for Day of the Dead right?

Red: Right.

Jose: Would you be our partner in the Scramble match then.

Red: Sure, no problem. You know you didn't need to ask, right? We're family.

Joel: Of course. Thanks man.

(Red walks off with the Maximos, leaving Bramledge with no one to interview. Instead, he just throws to the ring. "Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine plays as the Havana Pitbulls walk down the aisle. Rocky Romero and Ricky Reyes have had a lot of success since entering the GWA, beating a number of the top tag teams here and taking the rest to the limit. They're in for another test tonight. They step through the ropes and wait for their opponents.

"Lounge Act" by Nirvana then plays as the Young Lions walk to the entryway. They're gearing up for their match Sunday against Mexico's Most Wanted and want momentum going into that contest. York and Matthews slap hands with the fans as they run down the aisle, then hop over the top rope. They stand on the middle turnbuckle and raise their arms in the air to get some cheers, but "Chinga Tu Madre" by Brujeria plays as Jake Roberts walks out to the entryway. The Lions are distracted and wait for Roberts to come down and attack, but Roberts is content to stay at the top of the ramp. The Lions then hop to the mat and the match starts.)

[The Havana Pitbulls vs. The Young Lions]

Reyes and York start out. They circle each other and York tries to lock up, but Reyes tags him with a kick to the thigh. York holds his thigh in pain and Reyes follows with a huge chop that immediately sends York to the mat. York pops up to his feet, but Reyes hits him with a kneesmash and whips him into the ropes. Matthews tags himself in as York passes and Reyes backdrops York to the mat. Matthews enters the ring though and takes Reyes down with a dropkick. Both men get up and Matthews tries to hiptoss Reyes, but Reyes reverses and goes for a hiptoss of his own. Matthews counters that with a monkey flip to send Reyes into the corner. Reyes tags in Romero, who comes in and locks up with Matthews. Matthews puts Romero in a wristlock, but Romero quickly rolls forward and kips up, sweeping Matthews to the mat. Matthews gets to his feet allowing Romero to pop him in the face with a forearm. He whips Matthews into the ropes and runs behind him, driving a knee into his stomach. Matthews hits the mat in pain as Romero tags in Reyes. They enter the ring and both start hitting Matthews with a flurry of knee strikes. Reyes whips Matthews into the corner and tags in Romero. Reyes slides to the floor and trips Matthews, crotching him against the ringpost. Romero backs up and runs toward the corner, hitting Matthews with a Basement Dropkick. He drags Matthews closer to the center of the ring and covers, but York makes the save. Romero tries to knock York off the apron, but York drops to the floor first. Romero turns around and Matthews pops him with a lariat. Romero gets to his feet and Matthews whips him into the ropes, dropping him to the mat with a backdrop. Matthews winces in pain and tags in York, who enters the ring and brings Romero to his feet. He whips him into the ropes and both Lions hit him with a double dropkick! Matthews celebrates the move, but Reyes enters and turns him inside out with a lariat. Matthews rolls out of the ring as York hits Reyes with a forearm and whips him into the ropes, taking him down with a backbreaker. Romero rushes at him, but York lifts him up and drops him on the top rope with a Hotshot. York points at Roberts to tell him to look at what's coming next. He brings Romero to his feet, but Romero quickly slaps him in the face and jumps in the air, wrapping his legs around York's arm. He rolls to the ground and cinches in the Romero Special #2! York tries to fight it, but he realizes he can't break free easily and taps out.

The Havana Pitbulls defeated the Young Lions when Romero made York submit to the Romero Special #2 in 0:06:06.
Rating: *** 1/4

The Havana Pitbulls pick up a big win as York didn't want to risk injury to his arm. York rolls out of the ring holding his arm and Matthews holds him up while they glare at Roberts. Roberts just laughs and walks to the back. Meanwhile, Romero gets a mic.

Romero: Since we've come into the GWA, we haven't backed down from anybody. We've faced whoever, whenever. And I'd say we've picked up more than our fair share of wins. We won the Scramble match at Fallout, tonight we beat the Young Lions...and we want what's ours. We're patient guys, so we won't demand anything. AJ, we know you have a match tonight and next week. That's fine. But two weeks from now, on Ground Zero, Ricky and I want our title shot. And when we get, we'll show why we are the best tag team the GWA has to offer.

(We go to the back where Ultimo Dragon is tying  on his cape. Shamrock bursts in.)

KS: Hey! You're my partner now! Got it?

(Dragon looks at him strangely.)

KS: Well?

Dragon: ...

KS: ...

Dragon: ...

KS: I see. You're trying to improve our unspoken communication. Interesting tactic. See you in the ring.

(Shamrock leaves as Dragon shrugs and resumes what he was doing. Back at the ring, "Livin La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin plays as Ricky Marvin walks down the aisle. Marvin's been looking to get on track in the GWA, and he picked a big opportunity to do so. He signed an open challenge contract for a TV Title shot from Chavo Guerrero Jr. He doesn't do much dancing as he concentrates on the match ahead of him. He steps into the ring and bounces off the ropes a couple times.

"Daylight" by Aesop Rock then plays as the T.V. champion, Chavo Guerrero Jr. walks out. He has the title around his waist and slaps hands with the fans as he walks down the aisle. The winner of this match will defend the belt against Edge at Day of the Dead, and Chavo is looking to have a long reign. He steps through the ropes and hands the belt to the referee. The ref raises the belt in the air, hands it to the attendant and calls for the bell.)

[Ricky Marvin vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.]

Marvin runs at Chavo to start and drops him to the mat with a dropkick. Chavo rolls to his feet, but Marvin kicks him in the stomach before whipping him across the ring to knock him down with an elbow. Chavo sits up again, but Marvin hits him from behind with a dropkick. Chavo falls back to the mat and Marvin covers for two. Both men get up and Chavo catches Marvin with a European uppercut to stagger him. He follows that with some punches and whips Marvin into the corner. Chavo follows in, but Marvin backdrops him over the top rope. Chavo lands on the apron and immediately tries to punch Marvin, but it gets blocked and Marvin blasts him in the face with a forearm. Chavo tries to shake off the effects of the blow, but Marvin slingshots over the top rope and brings Chavo down to the floor with spinning headscissors! Chavo lands hard on his back and writhes in pain as Marvin claps to get the fans to cheer more. He brings Chavo to his feet and rolls him into the ring. He follows him in and makes the cover, but Chavo kicks out for the near fall. Marvin brings Chavo to his feet and then sends him to the mat with a snap mare, following with a soccer kick to the small of the back. Chavo grits his teeth to block out the pain, but starts to get to his feet. Marvin responds with some forearms to the head and whips Chavo into the ropes, knocking him down with a lariat. He makes another cover, but Chavo kicks out at two. Marvin calls for the finish and then picks up Chavo, slamming him to the mat. He climbs to the top rope and jumps off with a moonsault, but Chavo gets his knees up making Marvin writhe in pain on the mat. Chavo takes his time getting to his feet and meets Marvin with a series of punches. He then kicks him in the midsection and grabs him, bringing him down with a vertical suplex. He twists his hips and maintains his grip, bringing Marvin up and then down for a second suplex. He goes for the third vertical suplex, but Marvin blocks it and then lifts Chavo up, driving him to the mat with a front-layout suplex. Marvin is too winded to cover immediately, but eventually does roll over Chavo for a pin attempt that gets two. Marvin brings Chavo to his feet and kicks him in the thigh, then jumps up to deliver an enzuigiri, but Chavo ducks under the blow. Marvin gets up slowly and Chavo rocks him with a gutbuster. He then lifts him up and places him in the Gory Special. He walks around the ring as Marvin tries to break free and then drives him to the mat with the Gory Bomb! He rolls Marvin over and covers for three.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. pinned Ricky Marvin with the Gory Bomb in 0:07:14.
Rating: ***
(Chavo Guerrero Jr. retained the GWA T.V. Title.)

Chavo retains and will be taking the T.V. Title to Day of the Dead to face Edge. He revives Marvin a little and shakes his hand, then leaves the ring, raising the title in the air to cheers from the fans.

(We then go to the back where Jake Roberts has commandeered a mic.)

JR: Christian York, Joey Matthews, you boys just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you'd been born 10 years ago, you'd be fine. You'd probably be being paid as good-looking acts to bring the girls to the shows. And in its own way, there's no problem with that. However, you were not born then. You were born now. And your existence...your very purpose in the GWA conflicts with mine. I and my associates, Mexico's Most Wanted, we're clawing and scratching to keep our names remembered. Not just now, not just next month...not just next year...but for eternity. We've accepted the depraved acts that will likely take. So when we see two guys like you...two men just having fun, without a care in the world...clearly, we have to change that. If you're wondering why we picked you, it's not just because of our over-arching desire. No, it's because every time we look at you, you make us sick. 5, 10 years ago, you wouldn't be dealing with this. You wouldn't have to cope with someone with this overwhelming sense of purpose. But it's not 5 or 10 years ago. It's the present. And you will have to deal with Mexico's Most Wanted. And that is something that will not end well for you. Trust me...

(We go to the ring where "Head Like a Hole" by Nine Inch Nails plays as the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels walks to the entryway, hooded and with his head down. He lifts his head and flips his hood back as the fans boo. He walks down the aisle, taunting the fans as he goes. Daniels has been embroiled in a feud with Elix Skipper ever since disbanding Triple X a couple months ago. He lost a singles match to Skipper at Fallout due to a rollup and he's looking for revenge tonight. He steps through the ropes and raises his arms in the air as he waits for Skipper.

"Simple Man" by the Grouch then plays as Elix Skipper walks down the aisle completely focused on Daniels. They've been exchanging punches and barbs for two months now. A second win over Daniels will improve Skipper's case that Daniels just held him back while they were in Triple X. Win tonight and he'll show that he's his own man. Skipper rolls under the ropes and enters the ring, raising his arms in the air for cheers.)

[Christopher Daniels vs. Elix Skipper]

Daniels kicks out at two again and stands off with Skipper who yells that he was one second away. The two men lock up and move around the ring trying to gain the advantage. Daniels eventually gets Skipper in the corner and lays into him with a couple chops. Skipper throws Daniels into the corner and works over him with forearms to the face. Daniels pokes Skipper in the eyes to break free and walks to another corner to get a breather. Skipper walks over, but Daniels kicks him in the stomach and follows with a forearm to the back to send Skipper to his knees. Skipper covers for two. He brings Daniels up and places him in a headlock, but Daniels is immediately able to squirm free and take him facefirst to the mat. He follows that up with a stomp to the back of the head to make Skipper squirm on the mat. Skipper starts to get up, but Daniels is on him with a headbutt. Skipper staggers back and Daniels pops him with another headbutt, then whips him into the ropes, knocking him down with an elbow. Skipper bounces to his feet and Daniels catches him with a forearm then whips him into the corner. He follows in with a lariat, but Skipper moves out of the way! Daniels staggers back in a daze and Skipper bounces off the ropes, knocking Daniels down with a flying clothesline. Daniels lands hard on his back and pops up to a seated position. Skipper waits for him to get up and rushes him with another lariat, but Daniels ducks under and drops him with an STO. He then rolls them both over and locks in the Koji Clutch! Skipper struggles to get to the ropes as Daniels wrenches in the hold. Skipper slowly drags himself toward the ropes, but Daniels fights to keep him away. Skipper, however, is able to turn his body so that his legs are in the ropes. Daniels breaks the hold after four and gets to his feet, stomping Skipper on the back of his neck. He brings Skipper to his feet and tries to hit a German suplex, but Skipper blocks it and goes behind. Skipper drives Daniels into the ropes and rolls back, cradling Daniels. Skipper makes a bridge, but Daniels gets a shoulder up for the near fall. Both men get up and Daniels knocks Skipper down with a high knee. Skipper gets up holding his face and Daniels kicks him in the stomach, then hooks both arms. He goes for the Angel's Wings, but Skipper blocks it. Skipper breaks free of Daniels' grasp and kicks him in the stomach. He puts his leg over Daniels' neck for the Play of the Day, but Daniels pushes Skipper in the back to throw off the rotation. Both men face each other and Daniels charges him. Skipper lifts him up for a slam, but Daniels pokes him in the eye and slides down his back. He tries to hit the Last Rites, but Skipper pushes him off midmove, sending Daniels stumbling toward the referee. Daniels manages to stop himself, but the ref cowers defensively for a second, allowing Daniels to hit Skipper with a mule kick. Skipper goes to one knee, but Daniels quickly brings him up and drops him with a uranage. He then runs over to the turnbuckle and jumps off with the Best Moonsault Ever. He hits it and hooks both legs for three.

Christopher Daniels pinned Elix Skipper after the Best Moonsault Ever in 0:10:59.
Rating: **** 1/4

Daniels gets to his knees and raises both arms in the air as the referee declares him the winner. He brings Skipper's head up and points to his raised arm, while laughing in his face. Daniels has evened the match score, though by less than legal means. It's clear that Elix Skipper is coming into his own as a GWA wrestler and also that this dispute is not over.

(The camera goes to the back where Kanyon is in his dressing room, trying to relax while Delirious is rooting through the trash, throwing the contents behind him haphazardly. Liquid Sticks come into the room.)

Deranged: Hey buddy.

Kanyon: Hey! How can I help you?

Spanky: As you probably saw, we're in a scramble match with the SAT. They picked Red to be their partner. We were wondering if you wanted to be ours.

Kanyon: No can do. As much as I'd love to, after all these Kanyon Challenges, I'm going to take the opportunity to go to Miami Beach and have some mojitos.

Deranged: Really? Some people get what they want and just forget about the guys that helped them on the way up.

Kanyon: When did I say I forgot about you? I just said I couldn't make it. Those plane tickets are bought. Team with Delirious.

Spanky: Delirious?

(Spanky looks over at Delirious, who has his head in the trash can.)

Spanky: I'm not sure that's a good idea.

Kanyon: Nonsense. When the bell rings, get out of his way and let him do his thing. You won't be sorry.

Deranged: I'm not getting anywhere near him and a bell. I remember what happened last time.

Kanyon: It won't be an enclosed space. You'll be fine.

Deranged: But...

Kanyon: No buts. You guys helped me out with this protection problem. Think of my bodyguard as your bodyguard. Besides, this way I don't have to figure out how to check Delirious at the airport. He's too big for those dog cages.

Spanky: This better work out.

Kanyon: It will. Don't worry guys. Would Kanyon ever let you down?

Deranged: Well...

Kanyon: Of course not. Who makes promises betta than Kanyon?

Spanky: Well, ev...

Kanyon: Don't you even say it.

(The camera cuts to the ring where "Raining Blood" by Slayer plays as Rhyno walks to the entryway along with Steve Corino. Rhyno beats his chest and then runs down the aisle, sliding under the ropes. Corino just shakes his head and follows him down the aisle. Rhyno stands on the middle turnbuckle and raises his arms as the crowd boos him. Rhyno demanded this match after feeling that he didn't get to do enough damage to the Rock after Corino ordered him to walk to the back.

"This Means War!!" by Busta Rhymes then plays as the Rock walks to the entryway and glares at the two people at ringside. The Rock has had a problem with Corino since he cost him a match against Chris Jericho at Fallout. More recently Corino cheated during the Royal Rumble and pulled the Rock out of the ring after he was already eliminated, costing him a spot in the Gauntlet match and therefore a World Title shot. He'll meet Corino next Sunday, but first wants to get through Rhyno. The Rock gets on the apron and raises an arm in the air to salute the fans, then steps through the ropes.)

[Rhyno (w/Steve Corino) vs. The Rock]

Rhyno charges the Rock but gets a punch to the face to rock him. The Rock follows up with a series of punches to knock Rhyno to the mat. Rhyno rolls to his feet and hits the Rock with a kneesmash, but the Rock responds with a right hand to make him stagger to the ropes. The Rock then charges and clotheslines him over the top rope. The Rock follows to the outside as the ref warns Corino not to get involved. Rhyno tries to shake off the cobwebs, but the Rock grabs him by the head and slams his face into the apron. Rhyno tries to walk away, but the Rock catches up to him and pounds on him with a forearm to the back. He spins Rhyno around to do more damage, but Rhyno grabs him and runs into the guardrail. The Rock falls to the floor in pain as Rhyno breaks the count. Rhyno brings the Rock up and whips him into the ringsteps, causing him to bounce up and fall hard on his back. Corino walks up to the Rock and starts mocking him. The Rock tries to get to his feet and attach him, but Rhyno bludgeons him from behind and drives his face into the guardrail. He rolls the Rock into the ring and follows, making the cover for a near fall. He brings the Rock up and smacks him across the face with a couple forearms. He whips the Rock into the ropes, but the Rock comes back with a flying clothesline to knock Rhyno down. Rhyno gets to his feet first and hits the Rock with a double-axhandle to stagger him as he gets up. He keeps on him with some punches, but the Rock fires back with punches of his own. He starts to whip Rhyno, but Rhyno reverses then pulls the Rock into a short clothesline. He makes another cover but only gets two. Rhyno immediately starts choking the Rock after the kickout and the ref forces him to break. The Rock gets to the ropes and Rhyno runs at him, trying to drop a leg on his back, but the Rock moves. Rhyno crotches himself on the middle rope and falls back into the ring. Both men get up slowly and the Rock charges Rhyno, knocking him down with a lariat. Rhyno gets to his feet again only to be taken down by a second lariat. The Rock takes a breather on the ropes as he waits for Rhyno to get up, then charges toward him, booting him in the stomach before dropping him with a DDT. He makes a cover, but Rhyno gets a shoulder up. The Rock brings Rhyno to his feet and whips him into the ropes, but Rhyno knocks him down with a lariat of his own. He doesn't go for the cover but instead lifts the Rock up for a running powerslam. He starts to run forward, but the Rock slides down his back. Rhyno turns around and the Rock takes him down with a Samoan drop! Corino gets on the apron to yell at the Rock, distracting the Rock from following up. The Rock walks up to Corino to yell at him, but Rhyno gets up and runs at the Rock from behind. The Rock moves out of the way, but Rhyno stops before hitting Corino. The Rock, however, grabs Rhyno by the back of his head and rams his head into Corino, knocking him off the apron. Rhyno staggers back and the Rock grabs him before hitting the Rock Bottom! He then makes the cover for three.

Rocky Maivia pinned Rhyno with the Rock Bottom in 0:08:28.
Rating: *** 1/4

Rhyno rolls out of the ring as Corino throws a fit on the outside. The Rock stands in the center of the ring and motions for Corino to just bring it, but Corino walks over and helps Rhyno to walk to the back. They stop midway up the aisle and yell at the Rock, who's standing on the middle turnbuckle. The Rock slowly claps three times as Corino heads to the back, shaking his head. With the Dynasty up the ramp, the Rock raises his arm in the air to celebrate with the fans.

(We then go to the back with Lance Storm.)

LS: If I could be serious for a minute, I'd like to talk about the challenge put forth by Christian. First, I definitely accept. Christian, you want to talk about how I'll never be Dynasty material. At this point, that's fine. I don't want to be. Over the last few weeks, I've come to an epiphany. We're all doing this first and foremost as a job. We want to be able to provide for our families. I thought perhaps if I could be a part of the Dynasty, I could get more money, thereby improving my life and theirs. But that's shortsighted. And that's because in doing so, I would give up the morals and ethics who made me who I am. So if I get to the top, great. If I don't, I'll still feel proud of my career because I did it my way. Wrestling's not about charisma. It's not about catchphrases. It's about wrestling. Two men getting in the ring and one showing himself to be better. Last week, I got my shot at the World Title. It was my biggest match in a while and I came up just short. But I won't quit. I'm not going to take shortcuts to get what I want. I'll just keep improving. And when I go through you Christian and all of the Dynasty, it'll mean that in the end, I was better. And when that happens, my charisma won't matter. My height or build won't matter. All that matters is that I'll be the best wrestler.

(The camera cuts to the ring for the main event. "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains plays as Ken Shamrock and Ultimo Dragon walk down the aisle. Shamrock won the Royal Rumble, so he'll be entering fourth in the Gauntlet match while Ultimo Dragon is the first entrant. They walk down the aisle and enter the ring. Shamrock may have been forced to team with Ultimo Dragon, but Dragon is also the only person in the Gauntlet match that he has no problem with. they bump fists and the second team comes out.

"Master of Puppets" by Metallica plays as Doug Williams and Taz come to the entryway. They're standing far apart and Taz has head down with a towel covering it. Williams is the fifth entrant in the Gauntlet while Taz is third. They stalk down to the ring and get in at separate spots. This is the uneasiest of the three teams, but they may be able to get through the match.

"Medal" then plays as the final team, the GWA World Champion Kurt Angle and one-half of the GWA Tag Team champions AJ Styles, walks out to the entryway. Angle is the final entrant in the Gauntlet match while AJ Styles will be second. Angle has taken on all comers as the North American and now World champion. As a result, Styles is the only person that Angle feels he can even sort of trust. Angle and Styles get on the apron and Angle directs the ref to ensure that no one attacks them as they enter. They then step through the ropes. The ref gets all but two men out of the ring and calls for the bell.)

[Ken Shamrock and Ultimo Dragon vs. Doug Williams and Taz vs. Kurt Angle and AJ Styles]

Shamrock and Williams start out. They lock up and Williams immediately gets behind Shamrock, lifting him up and taking him to the mat. He floats over to apply a headlock and cinches back on the neck to cause Shamrock more discomfort. Shamrock fights to his feet and elbows his way free of Williams' grasp. He then takes Williams down with a double-leg takedown and fires off a series of right hands. He puts his forearm under Williams' chin and pushes up, but Williams hits him with some punches to the midsection to make him roll off. Both men get up and Williams applies a second headlock and goes to a knee so Shamrock can't power out of it. Shamrock rolls to the side, putting Williams' shoulders on the mat for two. Both men get up and Shamrock charges at Williams, who hits him with a high knee. Williams tags in Styles, who hops over the top rope and immediately starts stomping Shamrock in the head. Shamrock catches one of Styles' boots and rolls him to the mat. He goes for the Ankle Lock, but Angle immediately comes in to break it up. Angle leaves the ring as Shamrock regains his composure. Styles rushes him and hits a forearm before whipping him into the ropes. Shamrock, however, knocks him down with a shoulderblock as he comes back. Shamrock runs into the ropes and Styles flips on his stomach so Shamrock can pass over. Shamrock stops and drops an elbow instead. Styles gets up slowly and Shamrock knocks him down with a kneelift, then tags in Dragon. Dragon comes in and peppers Styles with kicks to the thigh, but Styles stops that with a poke to the eyes. Styles then snap mares Dragon to the mat and hits him in the back of the head with a dropkick. He tags in Angle who comes in and stomps Dragon in the back of the head repeatedly. Dragon tries to cover up as best he can, but still feels the damage. Angle brings Dragon to his feet and whips him into the ropes, but Dragon comes back with a spinning leg lariat. Angle brings Dragon up, but Dragon quickly sweeps Angle to the mat. Angle tries to get up only to get blasted in the chest by a kick from Dragon. Dragon tries to tag in someone, but Angle manages to stop him. He clubs him in the back, but Dragon kicks him in the stomach and knocks him down with a jumping side kick. He then tags in Taz! Taz steps through the ropes, but Angle immediately scrambles away and tags in Shamrock.

Shamrock gets in the ring begrudgingly and goes face to face with Taz. Taz pops him in the face, but Shamrock pauses a beat and responds with a punch of his own. They trade strikes back and forth until Shamrock hits Taz in the stomach with a knee to keel him over. He clubs him in the back and then punches him in the face to knock him down. Taz struggles to his feet, but Shamrock stomps him in the head. He tries to stomp him again, but Taz grabs his leg and stands up. He then takes Shamrock to the mat with a leg capture Tazplex. Shamrock rolls away and tags in Styles, who enters the ring...and then tags in Angle. Angle looks at Styles horrified and doesn't notice Taz walking toward him. Taz grabs Angle by the shoulders and tosses him into the ring. Angle clutches his back in pain, but gets up to receive a clothesline from Taz. Angle pops up quickly and Taz shoves him in the corner, working him over with forearms. Angle kicks Taz in the knee to slow him down and knocks him down with a European uppercut. He tags in Dragon, who comes in and peppers Taz with a series of kicks to the thigh and stomach followed by a jumping back kick. Taz is slow to get to his feet, allowing Dragon to jump off the middle rope with an Asai moonsault, which connects. Dragon hooks the leg, but Styles pulls him off. Dragon, undaunted, goes back to the attack, stomping Taz in the head repeatedly. Taz starts to get to his feet, but Dragon hits him with a dropkick, causing him to slump against the ropes. Dragon tries to whip Taz across the ring, but Taz blocks it. Dragon hits a couple chops and tries again, but Taz reverses it. He follows in, but Dragon jumps on the middle rope for another Asai moonsault. Taz moves out of the way, but Dragon lands on his feet. Taz responds by sticking him with a lariat. He makes a cover but Dragon gets a shoulder up at two. Taz tags in Williams, who comes in and clubs Dragon in the back with a forearm and hits him with a series of kneelifts. He brings him up and hits him in the stomach with a knee, then brings him to the mat with a gutwrench suplex. Williams gets to his feet and waits for Dragon to get up, then he goes behind him and lifts him for a German suplex. Williams brings him up and punches him in the face, then whips him into the corner, following in with a high knee. Dragon staggers out and Williams runs into the ropes, where Styles tags himself in. Williams hits Dragon with a high knee, but the ref informs him that Styles is the legal man. Williams turns to look and Styles hits him with a springboard forearm to take him out of the ring!

Styles works over Dragon repeatedly with stomps and forearms, then whips him into the ropes, snapping him down with a powerslam. He hooks the leg, but Dragon manages to get free before three. Styles lifts Dragon in the air and connects with a backbreaker, then runs into the ropes and jumps onto him with a somersault splash. He makes another cover, but Shamrock breaks it up. Styles takes his time getting up, but eventually brings Dragon to his feet. He whips him into the ropes again, but misses with a clothesline. Styles waits for Dragon to come back and goes for the discus clothesline, but Dragon ducks under it. He stops and kicks Styles in the stomach as he turns around. Styles catches it, but Dragon scores with an enzuigiri to send both men to the mat. Both men get up and Styles charges at Dragon, who sweeps his legs so that he flies into the ropes and lands hard on his upper back and neck to stun him. Dragon quickly brings Styles up and whips him into the ropes, bringing him down with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Styles lays on the ground clutching his back while Dragon goes for the Dragon Sleeper. Williams rushes in the ring though and clobbers Dragon from behind with a kneesmash. He lifts Dragon and runs into the ropes, coming out with the Chaos Theory! Dragon is out and rolls toward the ropes while Williams waits for Styles to get to his feet. He grabs him around the waist, but Styles breaks free and staggers Williams with the Pele Kick. He then gets to his feet and drops Williams with the Styles Clash. He turns him over for the pin, but Taz enters and hits Styles from behind. He lifts Styles up and drops him to the mat with a T-Bone Tazplex, making Styles roll to the outside of the ring. Taz glares at Styles, but that allows Angle to dart in the ring and drop him with the Angle Slam! Angle raises his arms in the air as Taz rolls out of the ring, but Shamrock enters and spins Angle around, taking him down with a belly-to-belly suplex. Angle bounces onto his stomach from the impact and Shamrock applies the Ankle Lock! Angle tries to fight his way free, but starts tapping. The ref won't allow the decision since neither man is the legal man, but Shamrock has gone insane and doesn't let go of the hold. Styles reenters the ring and kicks Shamrock hard on the face to make him break the hold. Shamrock tries to regain his composure, but Styles puts the boots to him. Taz, however, tags the motionless Dragon on the inside and steps through the ropes. Taz goes behind Styles as he puts Shamrock in position, calling for the Styles Clash, and wraps him in the Tazmission! Styles flails his arms to try to get free to no avail as Taz completes the body scissors and drops to the mat. Styles taps out quickly.
