(VERY) Early predictions...

Kawada takes Block A

Kojima takes Block B

And Kawada takes G1
rebelinsPosted on 09/27/07 at 20:02:02

I'll predict Misawa taking Block A and Nakanashi taking Block B.  Misawa takes G1.
LillaThrillaPosted on 09/29/07 at 00:46:36

Muto & Hayabusa.

Although Misawa vs Tiger Mask IV could be neat as they could argue over who was the better Tiger Mask.

CarlzillaPosted on 10/01/07 at 01:18:38

Mostly because I'm a puro nerd, and it seems awkward to me, but you're not really paying too much attention to keeping the Juniors and Heavies separate so far, is that the plan the whole way through, or just for the G1.

Also, I'm confused, Kawada got 5 points for beating Bernard, who doesn't appear to be in the tournament, but Hashimoto got zilch for beating Gedo, who also isn't in the tournament, but if one wrestler can score points for a win over a guy not involved, then why not both?
The PhantomPosted on 10/01/07 at 07:11:53

For this G1, both Heavyweights and Juniors are in it.

I have posted two cards so far. The first being the qualifer for the G1 and the second being matches from each block.

So instead of making a post after each card with the up to date standings, I will update the one post with the standings after each round of the round robin tourney.

I thought I was pretty clear but I suppose I could put the standings after each round then delete them from the previous post.
CarlzillaPosted on 10/01/07 at 07:21:57

for some reason I missed the qualifier part. My bad.
The PhantomPosted on 10/06/07 at 17:21:28

[G1 Climax Block B]:
Satoshi Kojima defeated Manabu Nakanishi by countout in 0:01:18.
Rating: **
[Great Sasuke interfered against Manabu Nakanishi.]
Comment: Not sure why Great Sasuke interfered against Nakanishi, he beat him last week after all, but Kojima seemed to know about it since it was his distraction that allowed it.
OCC Comment: I thought about not letting this match end on a countout but after I saw that someone interfered, you can't beat drama like that.

Rating: ***

Card rating: ***

I love this circuit  :)
The PhantomPosted on 11/26/07 at 16:59:23

Thanks. I've seen enough Japanese Wrestling to know they don't have countouts or interference for the most part, but I love the way TNM works so I allow it from time to time.
UnrightPosted on 11/29/07 at 15:46:33

Man, don't you hate 3 minute main event title matches?  :-/

Still, great job so far.
The PhantomPosted on 11/29/07 at 23:33:57

Yeah, but Misawa had a match earlier in the card so he was tired. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  :D

Now I have to crown my next champs, not sure which one I want to do first. I'll figure it out on Saturday. Thanks to those who have been reading my circuit.

I'm really liking this circuit. Any Japanese DVDs you reccomend?

By the way, is the circuit booked?
The PhantomPosted on 01/03/08 at 20:35:37

Glad you like it, it's unbooked.

I don't have many on DVD but I have a lot on VHS. If you still have one, I would get the History of the IWGP and Triple Crown videos. But if you have someone you like, then look for DVD with them in it. The only Japan wrestling that I didn't like was Toryumon.
