Booking a no-contest finish?

HugeRockStar760Posted on 06/11/06 at 22:40:59

Is it possible? As DQs in ECW aren't something that happens, I would like to book no-contest finishes at times.

The only thing I can think of to work around there not being a no-contest is to book a draw or a double countout, and just use the Circuit Editor to make it a no-contest in the results.

HRS, I hate to tell ya this, but in ECW the rules were simply "One fall to a positive finish" (at least through the end of their run on SportsChannel America before it became Prime Network/FSN) thusly making no-contest finishes pointless to anyone trying to accurately depict the "glory years" of ECW 1992 to 1996 (not that B.S. that was on Spike TV, when they actually started to try to book like their big brother, WWE).  And for the most part, any result you see from an ECW card during this period that has a "no-contest" result is merely because it was a schmozz match whereby several people would interfere and the ref would get pissed enough to actually make them a part of the match as well turning a singles match into a tag match into a 6 man tag match, which happened on more than one occasion in ECW.

I watched ECW through the glory years of te SportsChannel and the local Philly networks that would run Hardcore TV, WGTW-48 and PAX-65, and I think I saw one count out total. I remember Joey Styles was livid over the fact that there was a count out in ECW.
