[Taped for Anarchy]:
The Havana Pitbulls defeated the Spanish Announce Team when Romero pinned Jose after the Cuban Missile Crisis in 0:07:56.
Rating: **** 1/4

(Ground Zero starts with Doug Williams standing in the middle of the ring. He's holding a mic.)

DW: Last week, the lot of you saw the debut of Anarchy Rules. And those rules are whatever I want them to be. As a result, I proved why I'm the best wrestler in the GWA and why I should be the favorite in the Gauntlet match at Day of the Dead. Even though I handicapped myself by not allowing any kicks last week, I was still able to pin Ultimo Dragon in the center of the ring. I'm simply of a different class of wrestler than everyone else here. And in two short weeks, that'll net me the World Title.

("Them Bones" by Alice in Chains plays as Ken Shamrock walks out to the entryway with a mic in hand.)

KS: I don't know what you're talking about Williams. You think I should be scared of you? It doesn't matter how well you wrestle, I can take you down to the mat and make people tap out. I've already been a champion in the GWA and I'm looking to add to the collection. If you know what's best for you, you'll just stay out of my way.

DW: Isn't that cute? What you don't realize Shamrock, is that standing up, lying down, sitting down, I'm better than you. I'll take advantage of you or whoever else. It is in my blood to be World champion. And I'm extremely close to doing it. I came here to face the best and beat them. That's exactly what I'll do.

KS: I want you to check out my match tonight then. You'll see just what you're in for and why I'm the World's Most Dangerous Man.

(Shamrock makes a step to leave, but then brings his mic up.)

KS: On second thought, why don't I show you now.

(Shamrock runs down the aisle and slides under the bottom rope. Williams meets him with some stomps, but Shamrock powers to his feet and hits Williams with some forearms. He whips Williams into the ropes, but Williams holds onto the top rope and leaves the ring. He backs away down the aisle slowly while glaring at Shamrock.

The camera cuts to Adam Bramledge standing by with the Rock.)

AB: Rock...

(The Rock motions for him to stop talking.)

AB: What?

RM: Finally...the Rock...has come back to Vegas! And tonight, the Rock's doing a little roll of the dice. You see, the Rock had his choice of any partner, any partner at all, to face that candyass Steve Corino and one of his cronies. Now who does the Rock pick? Does the Rock grab some random guy backstage to show that yes, the Rock can take on the Dynasty alone and win? So the Rock went and thought a little...weighed the pros and cons. And the Rock came up with one man. One man who is always ready to whip that ass. And that man is Taz. So tonight Steve Corino, the Rock wants you to come down to the ring. The Rock wants your partner to come down to the ring. Because tonight, Steve Corino, you will get what's coming to you. Tonight, the Rock is going to be whuppin that ass all up and down the Vegas Strip. If you smellllllllllllll...what the Rock...is cookin.

(The camera goes to the ring for our first match tonight. "Blue Flowers" by Dr. Octagon plays as Quiet Storm walks out down the aisle. He's starting to come back after a feud with Mexico's Most Wanted that's cost him a lot. Both his manager, Trinity, and his tag partner, Tajiri, have been taken out by them. He steps through the ropes looking to get back on track in the GWA.

"Underworld" by Anathema then plays as Ultimo Dragon walks down the aisle, arms folded. He will the first man to enter the Gauntlet at Day of the Dead. Last week, he lost the first ever match with Anarchy Rules to Doug Williams after Williams illegally kicked him in the head. Dragon hops over the top rope and then stands on the middle turnbuckle to look out into the crowd. He hops back down to the ring and the bell rings.)

[Quiet Storm vs. Ultimo Dragon]

They circle each other to start and Dragon kicks Storm in the thigh. Storm recoils, allowing Dragon to step in with a chop to the chest. He tries to push Storm into the ropes but gets caught with a forearm. Storm quickly catches him in an armwringer and applies a wristlock. He puts more pressure on the wrist until Dragon rolls forward and gets to his feet to reverse into a wristlock of his own. He sweeps the leg of Storm and then makes a quick cover, but Storm kicks out at 1. Both men get up and Dragon catches Storm in the face with a dropkick. Storm gets up slowly and Dragon rushes toward him, kicking him in the midsection. He whips Storm into the ropes and knocks him down with an elbow. He runs into the ropes, but Storm gets up quickly and brings him down with a hiptoss. Dragon gets to his feet, but Storm takes him down with a Japanese armdrag. Dragon gets to his feet again, but Storm takes him down with an armdrag and keeps the armbar applied. Dragon squirms his way free and both men get to a vertical base, though Dragon is still in the armbar. Dragon kicks Storm in the legs until he goes down to one knee and lets go of the hold. Dragon then kicks Storm in the chest to send him flying backward. Storm rolls to his feet and charges at Dragon, but Dragon sidesteps him and tosses him over the top rope and to the floor. He waits for Storm to start to get up, then hops over the top rope to the apron and then dives on him with an Asai moonsault! Dragon gets up and spends a little time pumping up the crowd before rolling Storm into the ring. He waits on the apron as Storm stands, then climbs to the top rope coming off with a flying dropkick. Storm hits the mat hard and Dragon makes the cover for two. He brings Storm to his feet and whips him into the ropes, bringing him down with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. He makes another cover, but Storm kicks out again. Dragon calls for the finish and brings Storm up for a power bomb, but Storm hits him with a punch at the apex of the lift, making Dragon drop him. Storm grabs Dragon and smacks him with a couple forearms followed by the Roaring Elbow! Dragon drops to the mat and Storm quickly covers, but Dragon kicks out for the near fall. Storm quickly brings Dragon up to his feet and drops him with a back suplex. Storm brings Dragon up again and grabs him for the Storm Cradle Driver. He lifts him up, but Dragon counters with a snap mare. Storm runs at Dragon, but Dragon takes him down with a drop toe-hold and then rolls him up in a Magistral cradle for two. Both men get up and Dragon ducks under a lariat. Storm turns around, but Dragon jumps on him with an Asai moonsault. Instead of going for the cover, Dragon sits Storm up and locks him in the Dragon Sleeper! Storm tries to fight his way out, but he taps in short order.

Ultimo Dragon made Quiet Storm submit to the Dragon Sleeper in 0:07:51.
Rating: **** 1/4

Ultimo Dragon picks up a win tonight over Quiet Storm. Storm put forth a solid effort, but Dragon was able to stay one step ahead of him and get the submission victory. They shake hands after the match and Dragon hops on the middle turnbuckle, surveying the crowd with his arms folded.

(The camera goes to the back where Elix Skipper is stretching in preparation for his match tonight. Chris Daniels walks up to him.)

CD: Well look at you. You're really thinking big things. You think you're going places.

ES: I have to admit Chris, it seems like getting kicked out of Triple X was the best thing that ever happened to me. I started picking up the wins and tonight I've got a match with Ken Shamrock. It's allowed me to focus on myself and show that everybody that it's Prime Time.

CD: Oh yeah?

ES: Yeah. You thought you were better than me...that I was an afterthought. But I beat you. And what have you done since? Me and Low Ki weren't keeping you down, you were keeping us down.

CD: That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

ES: Look, the only reason I keep talking to you is to see that one day. That one day when you realize that you were the weak link of Triple X. That you needed to manipulate other people. That you can't get the job done on your own. I want to see the look on your face when you realize that.

CD: You think I'm the weak link? Look, you got lucky one time and all of a sudden you think you're better than me. I'm going to knock you down to the level you should be at. Next week, Elix, you vs. me in the ring.

ES: That's no problem at all. It'll be fun to beat you again.

CD: So you think. I'm afraid that's not what'll happen though. I'm going to torture your soul.

ES: You shouldn't talk so big. Remember what happened last time.

(Daniels fumes and walks off. We come back with Matt Hardy already in the ring with a microphone.)

MH: I'd like to take this time to apologize to everyone: to the GWA, to my loyal fans brimming with Mattitude, to Kanyon, to whoever, about my actions last week. Last week, I signed up for the Kanyon Challenge. I wanted to show that yes, I, like everybody else, was better than Kanyon. And I had the match going just the way I wanted it, but when I went for the Twist of Fate, Kanyon rolled me up and pinned me. I should have been able to live with that, but I wasn't. I took it out on the ringkeeper, I took it out on the ring, I completely lost it. I could have hurt somebody in my rage last week and for that I'm sorry. Just know that it'll never happen again. Now as for my opponent tonight, why don't you get down here so we can start the match.

(Hardy tosses the mic aside and "Spine" by Tiamat plays as Paul London makes his debut in the GWA. He runs down the aisle and hops on the apron before jumping over the top rope. He takes a couple leisurely bounces off the ropes before turning to face Hardy.)

[Matt Hardy vs. Paul London]

They lockup and Hardy quickly puts London in a headlock. London tries to push him off, but Hardy wrenches in tighter, forcing London to push Hardy into the ropes. London whips Hardy across the ring and runs after him, but Hardy knocks him down with a shoulderblock. Hardy runs into the ropes again, but London regains his composure and flips over, making Hardy jump over him and run into the ropes again. London gets to his feet and hiptosses Hardy to the mat. Hardy gets up quickly to receive another hiptoss from London. Hardy rolls through and charges London, but London connects with a leg lariat. He makes the cover for two. Both men get to their feet and London hits Hardy with some forearms, but Hardy regains control with a knee to the stomach. He knocks London to one knee with a huge forearm, then bounces into the ropes and pops London with a kick to the head. London gets up holding the side of his face, allowing Hardy to bring him down with a lariat. Hardy makes a cover for two. He stomps London in the head then brings him back to his feet. He connects with a headbutt to send London staggering back into the ropes, then walks over and peppers him with chops. He whips London into the ropes, but London jumps in the air, connecting with a flying forearm. Both men take some time to recover and get up around the same time. Hardy hits London with a forearm, but London comes back with some kicks to the stomach followed by a dropkick. Hardy lands hard on his back and rolls over before getting to his feet, allowing London to run in and take him down with a swinging neckbreaker. London quickly jumps on Hardy with a standing moonsault and hooks the leg, but Hardy manages to kick out for the near fall. London spends a couple seconds in disbelief that he didn't get the pin, then brings Hardy to his feet, but the hesitation allows Hardy to catch him with a jawbreaker. London goes down to one knee, but Hardy pulls him up, driving him into the mat with the Side Effect. Hardy climbs to the second turnbuckle and plays to the fans before jumping off with a legdrop, but London manages to roll out of the way! Hardy gets up gingerly and London knocks him down with an enzuigiri. He jumps to the top rope and then jumps off with the London Calling (shooting star press)! He then covers for the three count.

Paul London pinned Matt Hardy with the London Calling in 0:07:48.
Rating: *** 3/4

Paul London has made a very impressive debut by beating Hardy with his high energy offense. London celebrates as Hardy gets to his feet. Hardy starts to curse himself, but London offers his hand. Hardy looks up at the ceiling for a second, then shakes it...but then pops London in the face with a forearm! He stomps away at London and then brings him to his feet before tossing him over the top rope and to the floor. London lands hard on his back and is in a great deal of pain. Hardy doesn't do any more damage, but leaves the ring and walks to the back.

(Jerry Lynn is standing by backstage.)

JL: Tonight, CIMA, will be a very good night. And that's because I have a chance to get my hands on you inside the ring. There won't be referees to pull us part. It'll be you and me...and two other guys along for the ride. So even though tonight's match is a tag team match: me and Red vs. you and Spanky, it'll still serve my purpose. And that purpose is having my fists collide with your face. You took me out of action for two months. You put me in my bed for two months while I had to watch you and the other wrestlers here in the GWA do what I love while I couldn't walk without aid. But I'll get even. Maybe it'll be today, maybe it'll be in two weeks at Day of the Dead, maybe it'll be in the future. But I'll get you. And when that happens, you'll wish you had never stepped in the same ring as Jerry Lynn.

(The camera cuts back to the ring as "Tell Me Why" by Paul Van Dyk plays as Deranged dances his way down the aisle. Last week, Chavo Guerrero Jr. successfully defended the T.V. Title against Deranged's partner Spanky. Deranged took exception and challenged Chavo to a match this week, which has been accepted. Deranged steps through the ropes and yells at some fans.

"Daylight" by Aesop Rock then plays as the T.V. champion walks to the entryway with the belt around his waist. Since winning the three-way dance between himself, Lance Storm and Rhyno to capture the T.V. Title, Chavo's been trying to raise the respect he gets from fans and GWA management. Facing all comers is his way of doing that. Chavo steps through the ropes and takes off the belt, holding it above his head. He hands the belt to the referee, who also holds it up. Chavo jaws with Deranged as the ref hands the belt to the attendant and rings the bell.)

[Deranged vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.]

Chavo tries to lock up, but Deranged walks away and leaves the ring. He circles the ring and eventually Chavo has enough and walks to leave the ring. Deranged trips Chavo and drags him halfway outside the ring. He lifts one of Chavo's legs and drives it on the ring apron. He does it one more time and reenters the ring. Chavo tries to bring himself into the ring, but Deranged hits him with a series of stomps. Deranged starts to choke at Chavo, but the ref manages to break it up. Deranged brings Chavo to his feet but gets hit with a headbutt. Deranged staggers backward, allowing Chavo to come forward with a series of punches to the head, knocking Deranged to the mat. He pops back up, but Chavo whips him into the ropes. Deranged ducks under a lariat, but Chavo throws him high into the air with a backdrop on the second pass. Chavo waits for Deranged to get up, but Deranged rakes him in the eyes to regain control. He clubs Chavo to the mat with some forearms and goes to the apron. Once Chavo gets up, Deranged hits him with a springboard dropkick, sending Chavo flying backward. Deranged makes the cover, but Chavo kicks out at two. Deranged brings Chavo up to his feet and places him on the top turnbuckle. He rakes Chavo in the eyes and climbs to the top rope, but Chavo fights back with forearms and then pushes Deranged to the mat. Deranged pops up to his feet and Chavo jumps off the turnbuckle, hitting Deranged with a European uppercut. Deranged lands hard on the mat and Chavo quickly jumps on top of him, lifting him up and dropping him with the Gory Bomb! He rolls Deranged over and covers for the three.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. pinned Deranged with the Gory Bomb in 0:07:06.
Rating: ***
(Chavo Guerrero Jr. retained the GWA T.V. Title.)

Deranged rolls out of the ring as Chavo gets his belt from the ring attendant and holds it in the air. Chavo has successfully defended his title against both members of Liquid Sticks in successive weeks. He soaks in the cheers from the crowd and starts to leave the ring, when "Ticks & Leeches" plays, stopping him in his tracks. After a few seconds, Edge walks out to the entryway, clapping. He runs down to the ring and slides under the bottom rope. He grabs a mic from the announcer and then faces Chavo.

Edge: Well Chavo, I'd like to thank you. You won the T.V. Title, my belt, and you've kept it warm for me. Most importantly, you didn't let the Rhynos of the world get a hand on it. But now I'm back from my injury, my arm's completely healed. So it's time for you to give me back my belt.

Chavo looks at Edge funnily.

Edge: Don't give me that look. You didn't think this was permanent, did you? I'm going to give you the easy way out. Just give me back the belt. Give it to me.

Chavo doesn't move.

Edge: Give it to me!

Chavo grabs the mic away from Edge.

Chavo: You want me to give it you, huh?

Edge nods his head and motions around his waist. Chavo then shrugs, drops the mic and lays into Edge with a series of punches. He eventually knocks Edge to the mat, causing Edge to scurry out of the ring. Edge staggers to the back angrily as Chavo stays in the ring, holding the T.V. Title above his head.

(We then go to the back with Lance Storm.)

LS: If I could be serious for a minute, I'd like to talk about tonight's opportunity. All the time that I spent in the Hart Family Dungeon, being stretched for hours upon end...all the time that I spent honing my skills across the world...were all for one purpose: being the best. And in this sport that means being world champion. So I've spent my entire career working my way up. I've become better and better little by little, and it's brought me here...to tonight. And in the main event, I'll face Kurt Angle for the GWA World Title. And make no mistake Kurt, I respect you in the ring. You've done a lot. You've won the gold medal, you've won titles wherever you've been. But tonight, not only am I going to achieve my life's goal, I am going to show that the best wrestler in the world is from Calgary...Alberta...Canada.

(The camera cuts to the ring where "Drought" by Pelican plays as Kanyon walks to the ring with Delirious behind walking behind him, darting his head from side to side. Delirious yells at the fans as Kanyon gets to the apron and steps through the ropes. Last week, Kanyon's bodyguard arrived, and yes, proved to be Delirious. Perhaps this means he'll have a little more confidence. Delirious finally rolls in the ring as Kanyon gets a mic.)

Kanyon: Hey everybody! It's that time again! It's time for the Kanyon Challenge! Cause after all, who betta than Kanyon?

Crowd: Everybody!

Kanyon: No, no, no, no! *ahem* Anyway, as I'm sure you all saw last week, my bodyguard from Ahmed's Hired Help arrived, and quite frankly, he doesn't look like much. But I need to see if he'll be able to stop the crazies of the GWA, so this week, the Kanyon Challenge requires someone to take on this man: Delirious! So who back there (with the usual no-crazy, no psycho killer exceptions) thinks they're man enough to face Delirious?

(A couple seconds pass and "Kids With Guns" by Gorillaz plays as Tony Mamaluke walks out with a determined look on his face. Delirious huddles in the corner as Kanyon looks at him and shakes his head before leaving the ring. Mamaluke's put up a good fight on a number of occasions, but he's still looking for a marquee win to get his GWA career on track. Mamaluke steps through the ropes and stretches while waiting for the match to start.)

[Delirious vs. Tony Mamaluke]

The bell rings and Delirious immediately goes nuts, diving out of the ring and running on the outside while Mamaluke and the ref are trying to figure out what happened. Eventually, the ref starts counting Delirious out, but Delirious reenters the ring at 6, tackling Mamaluke and laying into him with a wild barrage of slaps. He starts choking Mamaluke and bouncing his head off the mat repeatedly until the ref pulls him away. Mamaluke tries to catch his breath, but Delirious runs at him and drops an elbow on him. Delirious brings Mamaluke to his feet and starts delivering a series of kneelifts to the head. Mamaluke tries to block as many as he can and eventually is able to catch one of Delirious's legs and put him down with a dragon screw. Delirious scrambles up to his feet, but Mamaluke drives him into the mat with a big back suplex. Mamaluke takes the opportunity to catch his breath as Delirious gets to his feet. Mamaluke runs at Delirious to hit him with a spear, but Delirious kicks him hard in the face. Mamaluke lies on his back, shaking out the cobwebs as Delirious runs into the ropes and hits him with a double kneedrop to the stomach. Mamaluke screams in pain and rolls back and forth on the mat as Delirious climbs to the top rope. He starts to teeter back and forth as Mamaluke gets to all fours, but then jumps off the top rope and lands on Mamaluke's back with a flying bodypress. Mamaluke flattens and Delirious quickly applies the Cobra Stretch, at which point Mamaluke has no choice but to submit.

[Kanyon Challenge]:
Delirious made Tony Mamaluke submit to the Cobra Stretch in 0:05:03.
Rating: *** 1/2

The bell rings as Delirious lets go of Mamaluke and moves over to the corner. Kanyon enters the ring in shock for a second, then claps loudly and raises Delirious's hand. Delirious is definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with in the GWA.

(We then go to the back where Edge has commandeered a camera.)

Edge: Chavo Guerrero, you are an idiot. Who the hell do you think you are? I am the greatest TV champion in the history of the GWA...no, scratch that, I am the greatest champion of any type period. I deserve to just have my title handed back to me. But since you don't want to do that, I'm exercising my "rematch" clause. I'm taking you on for the belt I never lost at Day of the Dead. At Day of the Dead, there won't be any time limit draws to save you. We'll go until there's a finish. And believe me, that finish will end with my hand raised.

(The camera cuts back to the ring where "Yatahaze" by dredg plays as CIMA and Spanky walk to the ring. CIMA hasn't gotten along with the majority of the roster here, but for some reason, he and Liquid Sticks seem to be civil toward each other. However, he is on decidedly less than civil terms with their opponents.

"Final Resistance" by Dark Tranquillity plays as Jerry Lynn charges down the aisle. CIMA took Jerry Lynn out of action for two months with a knee injury and Lynn has vowed to repay the favor ever since he's gotten back in the GWA. However, this has led to a lot of collateral damage with other wrestlers such as Rey Misterio Jr. being caught in the fray. Lynn slides under the bottom rope and tackles CIMA as the bell rings.)

[CIMA and Spanky vs. Jerry Lynn and Red]

Lynn pelts CIMA with right hands as Spanky stomps on Lynn's back to move him off. However, the Cruiserweight champion, the Amazing Red runs down the aisle and slides into the ring, knocking Spanky down with a spinning leg lariat. Spanky rolls out of the ring and Red follows him out. Lynn gets to his feet and brings CIMA up, whipping him into the ropes. He throws him up in the air for a flapjack and then knocks him down with a kneelift when CIMA pops up. Instead of going for the cover, he gets on top of CIMA and lays into him with more punches. He finally brings CIMA up, but receives a poke to the eye and CIMA smashes his head into the turnbuckle. CIMA follows that up with some chops and a forearm to the face to rock Lynn. He tags in Spanky, who comes into the ring and brings Lynn down with a snap mare, then stomps him on the back of the head. Lynn gets up slowly and Spanky whips him into the ropes, knocking him down with a leg lariat. He tags in CIMA and drags Lynn closer to the corner. CIMA comes in with a slingshot somersault splash and makes the cover for two. He brings Lynn to his feet, but Lynn responds with a series of punches to the head. He whips him into the ropes and brings CIMA down with a big backdrop. He waits for CIMA to get to his feet and charges in with a lariat, but CIMA ducks under, dropping down with a chin crusher to stagger Lynn. CIMA gets to his feet and knocks Lynn down with a superkick. He makes the cover, but Red makes the save in time. Spanky brings Lynn to his feet, but Lynn hits him with a couple kneesmashes, then goes behind him, lifting him up for a back suplex. Spanky lands hard and Lynn slowly crawls toward his corner. Spanky tries to pull his leg to stop him, but Lynn manages to tag in Red! Red hops over the top rope and takes Spanky down with a lariat. Spanky gets up quickly, but Red hits him with slaps to force him into the ropes, then whips him across, dropping him with a powerslam. He hooks the leg, but CIMA breaks up the pin. He grabs Red by the back of the hair and tosses him over the top rope and to the floor! Red lands hard on his back as CIMA leaves the ring. The ref starts to count Red out, but Red is able to barely beat the count. However, this has given Spanky the time he needed to recover and he jumps on him with a series of stomps. Red gets up slowly holding his back and Spanky drops him with an enzuigiri. He rolls him over and covers, but Red kicks out for the near fall. Spanky brings Red to his feet and hits him with a couple forearms, then runs into the ropes and pops him with a flying forearm. Red goes down in a heap and Spanky makes the cover again, but Lynn is able to make the save. The ref forces Lynn back to his corner and Spanky takes the opportunity to choke Red behind the ref's back. Eventually Spanky brings Red to his feet and whips him into the ropes, but Red reverses it. However, as Spanky hits the ropes, Lynn grabs him by the hair and pulls him to the mat. Spanky gets up slowly and Red pops him with a spin kick. Red looks at Lynn, who shrugs, and then tags him in. He runs at CIMA and knocks him off the apron and into the guardrail with a running forearm. He then dives onto him with a plancha, leaving both men dazed! Inside the ring, Lynn waits for Spanky to get to his feet, then keels him over with a knee to the gut before putting him in position for the Cradle Piledriver. He hits it, completely knocking Spanky out. Lynn then makes the cover for the academic three count.

Jerry Lynn and the Amazing Red defeated CIMA and Spanky when J. Lynn pinned Spanky with the Cradle Piledriver in 0:09:01.
Rating: *** 1/4

Jerry Lynn and Red pick up the win, but Lynn did not get a chance to fight CIMA like he would have liked. CIMA drags himself out from underneath Red on the outside of the ring and hops over the guardrail. He looks at Lynn and makes a throat slash gesture as Lynn screams for him to enter the ring. CIMA leaves through the crowd as Spanky rolls out of the ring. Lynn plays to the crowd with his METAL! pose as Red pulls himself up and nods to Lynn.

(The camera goes to the back where Adam Bramledge is interviewing the Dynasty.)

AB: Steve Corino, tonight you and Rhyno are going to face the Rock and Taz. What's your strategy to come out with the win?

SC: Strategy? My strategy is to stick to what I do best. Wrestle. The Dynasty is a collection of men focused on getting things done in the ring. And from there, we'll get whatever our hearts desire. The cars, the houses, the women. All of that will be ours. But it all starts in the ring. So when the King of Old School Steve Corino looks at you Rock, he's not worried. Because when I look at you, all I see is a man who thinks that wrestling is a side job. Wrestle a few matches then go film a movie. Wrestle a few matches then go on Leno. Wrestle a few matches then be in a rap song. That's not how it works. Wrestling is life. Wrestling is all-encompassing. And while your natural athleticism may have gotten you far, it will not get you anywhere against someone who's devoted his life to this sport. And that is exactly what the King of Old School Steve Corino is. So regardless of whether you're teaming with Taz or not, I know that when you will not be able to beat me and Rhyno in that ring. Instead, you'll see why you should refer to me...as God.

AB: Rhyno, any thoughts?

Rhyno: Tonight...someone will get GORED!

AB: ...succinct. AJ Styles, one question for you. All of the other participants in the Gauntlet match are wrestling, trying to get momentum going into the title match. You aren't. Why not?

AS: What a stupid question. Do I even need to? I'm one half of the GWA Tag Team champions. I'm the most athletic man in wrestling today. I do things in my sleep that would be unthinkable for the rest of humanity. I need no momentum. I am momentum. I am excitement. The way I see it, I'm the man to beat.

SC: Anyway, that's enough questions. In just a little bit, we'll be going to the ring and doing what we do best. And Rock, you'll see just how lacking you are.

(The camera goes to the ring as "Simple Man" by the Grouch plays as Elix Skipper makes his way down the aisle. Since being kicked out of Triple X, he's been stringing together wins. This is perhaps the biggest match he's had so far in the GWA, and a win against Ken Shamrock can get his foot in the door for the World Title picture. He steps through the ropes and claps to pump himself up as he waits for his opponent.

"Them Bones" by Alice in Chains then plays as Ken Shamrock walks out to the entryway and screams. In two weeks, Shamrock will be in the Gauntlet match for the World Title, entering fourth due to winning the Royal Rumble. A win here will take him in the match with some momentum. Shamrock steps through the ropes and then stretches on the top rope for a second.)

[Elix Skipper vs. Ken Shamrock]

They lock up and Shamrock immediately goes behind Skipper and takes him to the mat. He jumps on his back and starts swinging away with right and left swinging punches until the ref pulls him away. Skipper rolls away and gets up holding his face. They walk toward each other again and Skipper kicks Shamrock in the stomach, then smacks him in the back with a forearm. Shamrock winces from the pain and Skipper follows with another forearm and a dropkick to knock Shamrock down. Shamrock starts to sit up, but Skipper dives on him, putting him in a headlock. He wrenches away, but Shamrock manages to roll Skipper onto his back for a two count. Both men get up and Shamrock wallops Skipper with a lariat. He makes the cover, but Skipper gets the shoulder up in time. Shamrock brings Skipper to his feet and throws him in the corner, working him over with a series of punches and knees to the midsection. He backs away to scream and charges into the corner with a lariat, but Skipper manages to move out of the way. Shamrock staggers back and Skipper hits him with a dropkick to knock him facefirst into the turnbuckles. Skipper gets behind Shamrock and works over his back with some forearms. Shamrock hits him with an elbow to break the string and throws a wild punch, but Skipper ducks under, grabbing Shamrock and putting him on the mat with a belly-to-belly suplex. He covers but only gets two. Skipper immediately grabs Shamrock's arm and puts him in a hammerlock, but Shamrock manages to get to his feet. He stomps on Skipper's foot a few times until he lets go, then takes him to the mat with an ipponzei. He keeps Skipper's arm grasped and quickly drops to the mat, applying short arm scissors. Skipper squirms and thrashes on the mat trying to get free, eventually making it to the ropes. He gets up slowly, shaking his arm, allowing Shamrock to deliver some kicks to the thigh. Skipper goes down to one knee and Shamrock blasts him with a forearm to the face. He makes a cover, but Skipper puts a foot on the ropes. Shamrock brings Skipper up and whips him into the ropes. He jumps for a Frankensteiner, but Skipper catches him, driving him to the mat with a power bomb. He holds him down but only gets two. Skipper takes the opportunity to climb to the top rope, but Shamrock is able to recover and stop him with some punches to the gut. He then tosses him off the top and to the mat. Skipper gets up holding his back and Shamrock scores with a jumping elbow thrust. He hooks both legs, but Skipper still manages to kick out before three. Shamrock brings Skipper up, but Skipper immediately stuns him with a jawbreaker. He follows it up with a snap mare and a soccer kick, but Shamrock gets up instantly, incensed. Shamrock clobbers Skipper with a series of forearms to the head, but Skipper interrupts with a spinning thrust kick to keel him over. Skipper adds another kick to the gut and grabs Shamrock for the Play of the Day. He begins the rotation, but Shamrock grabs his foot and swings him to the mat, applying the Ankle Lock! Skipper tries to fight the pain and get to the ropes, but Shamrock has him locked in the middle of the ring. After a few more seconds of agony, he taps out.

Ken Shamrock made Elix Skipper submit to the Ankle Lock Submission in 0:08:34.
Rating: **** 1/4

Shamrock gets the win, but Elix Skipper certainly has nothing to be ashamed of. Skipper rolls to the apron holding his ankle while Shamrock raises his arms in the air. He stops, however, when he sees Doug Wiliams standing at the top of the ramp. Shamrock braces for a fight, but Williams stands where he is and says that's not enough. He then laughs and heads to the back, shaking his head. So despite Shamrock's victory tonight, he doesn't seem to have intimidated Doug Williams in the slightest.

We then go to the back with Kurt Angle.

KA: Tonight is a very important night. It's the first defense of the GWA World Title. Lance, don't think I'm looking past you. I'm focused right now on the objective. I was the only GWA North American champion. I held that belt for three months and I beat everybody I defended it against in the middle of the ring. And I did with preparation. I did it with the three I's: intensity, integrity and intelligence. They've gotten me this far, and they'll get me much further. This is no doubt the biggest night of your life...just getting the chance to take this belt. But you won't take it, I won't let you. In the end, I will beat you and I'll take the title to Day of the Dead where I'll beat those guys too. And that...is true.

(The camera cuts to the ring where "This Means War!!" by Busta Rhymes plays as the Rock and Taz walk down the aisle. The Rock has had several problems with the Dynasty recently, beginning with Steve Corino costing him his match against Chris Jericho. Taz doesn't really need a reason to beat people up, but is looking for momentum like all of the other men in the Gauntlet match. They step through the ropes and the Rock stands on the middle turnbuckle, raising his arm. Taz glares at the entryway waiting for their opponents.

The lights go out and "O Fortuna" by Therion plays as Steve Corino and Rhyno walk to the entryway. A spotlight pans the crowd before landing on them, then follows them as they walk down the aisle. Corino took over control of the Dynasty a few weeks ago after a coup deposed Chris Jericho. Tonight, he's looking to get one up on the Rock before their match at Day of the Dead. They step through the ropes and the Rock tries to get things going immediately, but Corino ducks out of the ring and tells the ref to get things under control. Once Taz leaves the ring, Corino steps out and the bell rings.)

[The Rock and Taz vs. The Dynasty]

The Rock and Rhyno start out. Rhyno charges the Rock but gets met with a series of right hands. The Rock pushes him into the corner and starts laying into him with some punches, but Rhyno eventually blocks one and responds in kind. He smashes the Rock's head into the turnbuckle and then hits him with a couple shoulderblocks to the stomach. Rhyno grabs the Rock for a belly-to-belly suplex, but the Rock elbows his way out. Rhyno staggers backward and the Rock whips him into the ropes. He misses with a lariat, allowing Rhyno to score with a flying clothesline. He stomps the Rock in the head a couple times then tags in Corino. Corino comes in and clubs the Rock in the back before punching him in the face a few times. He chokes the Rock, breaking it before the ref counts to five. He brings the Rock to his feet, but the Rock responds with a punch to the face to knock Corino down. He brings Corino up to do more damage, but Corino pokes him in the eye and quickly tags in Rhyno. Rhyno charges in, but the Rock takes him down to the mat with a backdrop. Rhyno struggles to his feet as Taz gets tagged in. The Rock and Taz whip Rhyno into the ropes and take him down with a double backdrop. Rock leaves the ring as Taz brings Rhyno to his feet and smacks him in the face with a punch. He follows that with another punch, but Rhyno responds with one of his own. They trade punches until Rhyno hits him with a kneesmash. Taz staggers back from the impact, allowing Rhyno to hit him with a lariat. Taz goes down in a heap allowing Rhyno to hit him in the head repeatedly with stomps. He runs into the ropes and drops a knee on Taz's head, then makes a cover, but the Rock makes the save. Rhyno brings Taz to his feet and whips him into the ropes, but Taz reverses and hits a lariat of his own. Rhyno gets to his feet, but Taz is behind him and brings him up for a German suplex. Rhyno hits an elbow to block the move. Rhyno turns and tries to attack Taz, but Taz grabs him by the waist and lifts him for an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Corino can't believe that Taz got that move in and distracts the referee. Taz makes a cover, but there's of course no one to count. He gets up and tries to attack Corino, but Corino drops off the apron. He turns around to be met by a charging forearm strike to the throat by Rhyno. Taz goes down in a heap and Rhyno tags in Corino. They bring Taz to his feet and toss him in the corner, then Corino walks over and spits in the Rock's face. The Rock tries to enter the ring, but the ref stops him, allowing Corino and Rhyno to kick Taz in the corner and choke him without reprecussions. Rhyno and the Rock eventually leave the ring, and Corino brings Taz to his feet. He whips him into the ropes, knocking him down with a dropkick. He jaws with the fans instead of following up, and sure enough, Taz gets to his feet and lays into Corino with some forearms. He whips Corino into the ropes, but Corino reverses it. He tries to hit Taz with a leg lariat, but Taz ducks under and Corino hits the mat. Taz waits for Corino to get up and grabs him for a T-Bone Tazplex, but Corino gets out of it with a forearm. Both men stagger back and Taz tries to hit Corino with a lariat. Corino ducks and scores with a superkick, knocking Taz to the mat. He makes the cover, but the Rock breaks up the pin in time. Corino tries to bring Taz to his feet, but Taz grabs him and snaps him to the mat with a Northern Lights suplex for two. Taz grabs Corino by the hair and drags him to his corner, but Corino pokes him in the eye and scrambles back to his corner, tagging in Rhyno. Taz tags in the Rock and both men get in the ring.

Both men charge each other and trade punches. The Rock gets the best of the exchange and knocks Rhyno to the mat. Rhyno pops up, but the Rock punches him in the face again and whips him into the ropes, knocking him down with a lariat. Rhyno gets up, but the Rock kicks him in the stomach and pops him with a DDT. He makes the cover, but Corino breaks up the cover. Corino leaves the ring, but the Rock tries to get at him. Rhyno runs in from behind and hits him with a forearm to the back of the neck. He tags in Corino, who comes in and chokes the Rock on the middle rope. Corino lets go and the Rock staggers to the middle of the ring. Corino catches up to him and spins him around to hit another move, but the Rock lifts him up and plants him with a spinebuster. The Rock is still woozy from Rhyno's forearm and can't follow up. He slowly rolls over to his corner as Corino shakes off the effects of the spinebuster. The Rock tags in Taz, who comes in and runs over Corino with a lariat. Rhyno starts to enter the ring, but Taz knocks him off the apron with a kneesmash. Taz turns around and grabs Corino, dropping him to the mat with a T-Bone Tazplex! He calls for the Tazmission, but Corino rolls out of the ring. He tells Rhyno to follow him and both members of the Dynasty head up the ramp. Taz and the Rock wait in the ring, but Corino and Rhyno don't come back and get counted out.

Rocky Maivia and Taz defeated the Dynasty when Taz defeated Corino by countout in 0:10:43.
Rating: ** 1/4

The Rock and Taz get an unsatisfying victory over Corino and Rhyno. The Rock stands on the middle turnbuckle and motions for the Dynasty to bring it, but Corino motions for him to shove it and continues walking to the back. The Rock hops down and bumps fists with Taz, then basks in the cheers from the crowd as Taz leaves the ring and heads to the back.

Backstage, Lance Storm is WALKING. Kurt Angle is WALKING. The main event is next!

("The Hollow" by A Perfect Circle plays as Lance Storm walks to the ring. He's become a bit of a fan favorite since starting his feud with the Dynasty and it's certainly led to good results in the ring. He was unfortunately eliminated from the Royal Rumble by Steve Corino, preventing him from being in the Gauntlet at Day of the Dead, but he's got a World Title shot tonight as a result of pinning Christopher Daniels last week. Storm steps through the ropes and waits for his opponent, serious as always.

"Medal" then plays as Kurt Angle walks to the entryway with the World Title around his waist. This will be Angle's first defense of the World Title as the North American Title was retired a few weeks ago. Angle will be at the end of the Gauntlet match in two weeks time, so he's making his statement tonight against a quality opponent. Angle steps through the ropes and takes off the World Title, raising it in the air. Storm waits patiently in the corner until the referee starts the match.)

[Lance Storm vs. Kurt Angle]

They circle each other before locking up. Angle goes behind Storm and puts him in a waistlock then takes him down to the mat facefirst. He floats over to put him in a front facelock, but Storm manages to squirm free and put him in a hammerlock. Storm hits him a few more times as Angle gets to his feet. He pushes Angle into the ropes and then whips him across the ring, taking him down with a back elbow. Angle gets to the apron and steps through the ropes, making Storm immediately charge him with forearms to the back. Angle blocks a knee from Storm and scores with an elbow to the gut. He then forces Storm back with a series of right hands, but Storm manages to block one and respond with a punch of his own. Storm then takes Angle to the mat with a headlock takedown, wrenching it in. Both men manage to get to their feet and Angle gets free following some forearms to Storm's back. He tries to bring him down with a German suplex, but Storm blocks it and goes behind him. Angle gets free with a string of elbows and then whips Storm into the ropes. He misses with a lariat on the first pass, allowing Storm to knock him down with a spinning leg lariat. Angle gets up a little too quickly and walks into a backbreaker for Storm. Storm grabs Angle's legs and tries to put him in the Sharpshooter, but Angle squirms free and leaves the ring again. This time Storm follows him outside, allowing Angle to pop him with a right hand. He then grabs Storm around the waist and drives him backfirst into the apron. Storm crumples to the ground in pain and Angle takes the opportunity to hit some well-placed stomps.

Angle rolls Storm back into the ring and follows him in. He stands over Storm and kicks him in the head repeatedly, then drops an elbow on him. He brings Storm up to his feet and whips him into the ropes, knocking him down with a lariat. He spins his hips and keeps his hands grasped, bringing Storm up for another German, but Storm manages to block it. He gets free with a couple elbows to the face and goes behind Angle, popping him with a forearm to the back of the head. Angle drops to a knee for a second, then gets to his feet, rushing at Storm with a lariat. Storm ducks under and then surprises Angle with a superkick! Both men go down and Storm is slow to cover, allowing Angle to get a shoulder up for the near fall. Both men get up slowly and Storm rocks Angle with an inverted atomic drop and follows with a lariat. He moves over to the ropes and steps to the apron. He waits for Angle to get to his feet and then comes into the ring with a springboard dropkick to send the champ flying backward. Storm rolls Angle over and hooks a leg, but Angle manages to kick out. Storm gets to his feet and waits for Angle to stand. When he does, he steps forward and throws another superkick, but Angle catches his foot and locks in the Ankle Lock! Both Angle and Storm go to the mat and Storm frantically kicks Angle with his free leg to break free. Storm gets up and takes a few steps to regain feeling as Angle gets up as well. Angle tries to kick Storm in the stomach, but Storm catches it, spinning him around before scoring with a jawbreaker. He sweeps the legs of Angle and locks him in the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring! Angle tries to crawl to the ropes, but Storm has it applied too well. Angle raises his hand to tap, but then pushes up to try and power out. Storm eventually loses leverage and falls forward, holding his ankle. Very well written cards.

Has a little bit of everything in it from the serious wrestlers to a bit of comedy. Just needs a little more "sex" added with perhaps a few women as managers/valets.

You have a great roster - lots of my favorites. I just wish someone would do Kanyon as "Happy" Canyon.

Keep up the good work.
