Events that occured during the show


At the opening of the show, DX enter their locker room.
Kevin Nash and Sting are present. They inform them they made a big mistake last week on Smackdown.
DX denies any connection to the limo explosion.

The MWF division of the Injustice League is backstage.
Their celebrating their success at the previous night's MWF New Year's Revolution Pay Per View.
At the ppv, Chavo Guerrero won the MWF World Heavyweight Championship and Gregory Helms won the

MWF North American Championship.
The MWF division announce they've come tonight to fight and all 4 will have matches.

Jerry Lawler issued an open challenge, which was accepted by Dan Severn.
After the match, Severn announced he's come to the WWF to aide Ken Shamrock in his fight against Kurt Angle.

In his office, Shane McMahon talks to Mr. McMahon about being a bigger part of the family business.
Mr. McMahon tells Shane he'll take some time to think it over.

During the main event, Jim Ross announces there has been an altercation backstage.
The titan tron show that Lex Luger has been attacked.
A sledgehammer is found at the scene.
This being shown on the titan tron distracts Nash and Guerrero allowing X Pac to score the pin.

Afterwards, Hall & X Pac immediately get out of the ring and start to leave, as Nash and Guerrero raise a ton of hell in the ring.

Hour 1


Brian Pillman pinned Davey Boy Smith after a piledriver in 0:08:06. Davey Boy Smith injured his right knee. He will be out for approximately 6 weeks.

Events that occured during the show


When the Injustice League arrive, they are accompanied by a group of security guards due to the attack on Luger.
They look for DX backstage, only to learn they are not present tonight.

Shane McMahon is in Mr. McMahon's office. He asks if he'll get to take more of a role in the company.
Mr. McMahon informs Shane he doesn't think he's ready.
Shane is very upset.

Bruno Sammartino makes some announcements about No Way Out.
Lex Luger had a minor injury due to the attack on Raw.He will receive his Intercontiental title shot at No Way Out instead.
However, Sting will still be in action tonight defending the Intercontiental title against Steve Austin.
Due to the manner in which Rick Rude defeated Kenta Kobashi on Raw, Kobashi will receive another shot at the upcoming PPV.
And to make sure there is no interference, the match will be held in a steel cage.
Bruno has also determined X Pac will be the #1 Contender for the Cruiserweight title, facing Psicosis at No Way Out.

Bobby Heenan, Chris Masters, and Randy Orton celebrate their win backstage.

Kevin Nash announces he's ready to use his title shot contract and will face Undertaker at No Way Out.


After the show, Mr. McMahon is shown in the parking lot getting ready to leave.
As he gets to his limo he finds the Injustice League waiting for him.
Sting tells Mr. McMahon he should have accepted Shane's request.
The masked man who attacked Linda McMahon runs out and brutally attacked Mr. McMahon.
The man takes off his mask revealing himself to be Shane McMahon as the show goes off the air.  


Chris Masters & Randy Orton are now the #1 Contenders for the Tag Team titles.

Events that occured during the show


Shane McMahon comes to the ring with the Injustice League and a group of security guards.
Shane announces he has joined their stable.
He reveals his motives for the attacks on his parents.
With both of them out of action, he is now in control of the company.
Bruno Sammartino comes out and informs Shane that he is still the general manager and Shane must work with him.

Harry Smith calls out Brian Pillman.
Harry wants to face Pillman for injuring his dad on Smackdown last Friday.

After his match, Andre the Giant challenges Randy Savage to face him at No Way Out.

Piper's Pit segment.
Piper welcomes Kevin Nash to discuss his title match at No Way Out.
Nash talks about wanting to be champion for a long time.
He guarantees he will win at No Way Out and the Nash era will last a long time.  
The Undertaker comes to the ring.
He responds to Nash's comments.
Once he's done speaking, Nash and Undertaker stare at each other briefly before Nash exits the ring.

In the main event, Steve Austin's interference allowed Demolition to win.
As he was heading back to the backstage area, Austin could he heard yelling now your messin' with a son of a bitch!

Backstage, after the main event. Shane asks Bruno what he's going to do about what happened tonight.
When Bruno informs Shane he refuses to punish Austin,
Shane snaps and attacks Bruno.

Events that occured during the show


At the opening, Shane McMahon accompanied by a group of security guards, comes out to announce tonight Smackdown is presented by the Injustice League.
Shane announces the card for the evening.

Backstage, stable members are upset at having to face each other.
Ric Flair and Arn Anderson try to approach Shane to voice their displeasure, but they are turned away by his security team.

Backstage, before The Rock's match, Shane informs him that if he loses he can never aide any stable again. If he does aide any stable he will be fired.

After the main event, all members of the Injustice League are in the ring attacking Undertaker.
DX and the Four Horseman run out and fight their way through Shane's team of security guards to help Undertaker.
Shane begins to run away and makes it to the top of the stage, only to find The Rock blocking his path.
Shane warns Rock not to get involved and The Rock steps aside, allowing Shane to pass.
Once backstage, Shane is hit in the head with a chair.
The camera reveals, Mick Foley has returned.

Events that occured during the show


In the opening, Shane McMahon is in the ring with his security guards.
He announces he's given the Injustice League the night off.
He also announces DX and The Four Horsemen have been banned from the arena.
He shows footage of earlier in the day of those stables arriving, only to be turned away.
Shane says he did make an exception for X Pac and calls him out.
Shane informs X Pac even though Bruno Sammartino named him the #1 Contender for the Cruiserweight title, he will have to earn that title shot tonight.

Backstage, Mean Gene Okerlund conducts an interview with Mick Foley.
Foley explains that during the time away from the ring, he's become a changed man.
Not knowing all this time who his attacker was really bothered him.
Now that he knows it was Shane he's here to get some payback.
However, he's no longer the goofy Mick Foley, he is now Cactus Jack.
He challenges Shane to a hardcore match at No Way Out.
Shane comes to the ring and tells Mick he won't turn down the challange, if Foley can defeat an opponent of Shane's choosing tonight.
Mick agrees.  

Shane is in his office when Steve Austin enters and demands a match with Sting at No Way Out.
Shane refuses his request, but tells him he can face the Road Warriors instead.
Shanes tells him he'll be generous and let him find a tag team partner.

Footage airs from this past weekend's MWF Superstars of Chris Jericho showing up to challenge Lance Storm to face him at No Way Out.

After the main event, Shane McMahon and Vader attack Cactus Jack.
Cactus Jack manages to take down Shane, and the fight with Vader spills out into the ringside area and then into the crowd.
As Shane watches from the ring, the lights go out.
When they come back on, Shane finds the Undertaker standing there.
Shane starts yelling for his security team.
A camera backstage reveals, his team is knocked out cold.
A sledgehammer is seen at the scene of the attack.
The Undertaker gives Shane a tombstone piledriver.
He then cuts a promo about his match with Kevin Nash at No Way Out.

Events that occured during the show


The Injustice League are in the ring when the show starts.
Sting announces Shane is absent tonight and his security team has been fired.
They are looking for a bodyguard for Shane.
They also claim they know DX is responsible for the backstage attacks on them recently.
They say they know who it is, and when he finally shows himself they will get even.
Kevin Nash then discusses his match with Undertaker and says it is now personal due to Undertaker giving Shane a tombstone piledriver on Raw.
Nash then announces he wants a warm up match tonight against any of his old teammates who have the guts to step up and face him.

Backstage, Scott Hall announces he's accepting Nash's challange tonight.

Steve Austin reveals The Rock will be his tag team partner when he faces The Road Warriors at No Way Out.


Backstage, Sting finishes up a phone call.
He reveals he found a bodyguard for Shane and that this person will be on Raw this Monday.

After their match, members of DX and the Injustice League begin to fight around the ring.
Once referees manage to get things under control, The Undertaker comes out.
He stands in the ring and stares at Kevin Nash.
Nash tells the rest of the Injustice League to leave.
Undertaker makes the throat slitting gesture towards Nash, who then gets in the ring and starts to fight Undertaker as the show goes off the air.

After the match


The Injustice League come out to celebrate with Kevin Nash.
Shane McMahon puts the Heavyweight title belt around Nash's waist.

Bruno Sammartino then comes out onto the stage.
Bruno informs the crowd that the show isn't done yet.
He was just approached backstage by an individual.
This man won the money in the bank ladder match at Wrestlemania and wants his title shot, right here and right now.

The Rock then comes out.

Kevin Nash and the Injustice League protest.
Bruno Sammartino demands the Injustice League return to the locker room.
A group of referees have gone down to the ring to get the stable to leave.

Once they do, the match is underway.

Near the end of the match, with The Rock in control, The Injustice League rush back out but a group of referees and officials are trying to hold them back.
The Rock and the referee in the ring are distracted by this.
Nash blindsides The Rock and delivers a powerbomb.
As the referee in the ring is yelling at everyone outside the ring to leave the area, Triple H's theme begins to play.

Triple H comes out and stands on the stage with his sledgehammer.
He is then joined by the rest of DX.
Nash stands in the ring staring up at Triple H & DX.
The rest of the Injustice League run up to the top of the stage and they begin to fight.

As this is going on there is a huge roar from the crowd.
The camera then reveals Shawn Michaels is in the ring standing behind Kevin Nash.
Shawn begins to tune up the band.

Nash turns around not realizing Michaels is behind him.
Michaels immediately hits Nash with the super kick.
Nash is knocked out cold.
Shawn then turns and exits through the crowd.  

The Rock comes to and see Nash just laying there.

By time the Injustice League see what's going on in the ring it's too late...


The Rock pinned Kevin Nash after an elbowdrop in 0:07:05.

[Shawn Michaels and Triple H interfered against Kevin Nash.]



Notes on the Pay Per View


Jesse Ventura and Gorilla Monsoon provided the commentary for the odd numbered matches.
Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler provided the commentary for the even numbered matches.

Throughout the evening, Mean Gene Okerlund interviewed participants to get their thoughts on their matches.

Steve Austin's interference allowed Lex Luger to defeat Sting.
Afterwards, Lex Luger offered Sting a handshake.
Sting gave him a dirty look and then left the ring.

Before his match, Kevin Nash told the rest of the Injustice League not to interfere because he knows he can Undertaker on his own.

After The Rock defeats Kevin Nash, he grabs the title belt and exits through the crowd to avoid the Injustice League.

Kevin Nash is so upset he power bombs the referee and then storms off followed by the Injustice League as the show goes off the air.
