Your host: Lance Russell

* Russell welcomed everyone to Southern Championship Wrestling and while they weren't the "other guys", he promised some good old fashioned Southern wrestling. He introduced the "First Family of Wrestling", the Armstrongs - Bullet Bob and sons Brad, Scott, Steve and young Brian who came out to a big cheer from the live studio audience. Bullet Bob said the Armstrong family figured to make a mark for the great fans here in Mobile, Alabama, starting off the show with Brad taking on Armstrong family friend, "White Lightning" Tim Horner. Pistol Pez Whatley came out and threw his arms around Brad and Scott, tried to highfive Steve and pinched Brian's cheek, saying it was just like being home again which drew strange looks from both the Armstrongs and Russell.

Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner battled to a draw in 0:15:00.

Steve was also ready for his main event match with Ox Baker. Lance warned Steve to watch out for the cagey veteran's devastating Heart Punch.

* Lance was joined by Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner as he welcomed everyone this week. Lance commented on their match last week and the good sportsmanship between the two friends. Both agreed it was a good match and they wouldn't have it any other way. They were joined by a sweaty Pistol Pez Whatley who wrapped his arms around both wrestlers. He said it was good to be here with Brad and Tim, telling them "A friend indeed, Is a friend I need" before he spouted off about good sportsmanship and doing it the Armstrong way when Russell reminded him about his disqualification last week for shoving the referee. As Whatley stammered for an answer, Lance took it to the ring.

The Lightning Express (Tim Horner and Brad Armstrong) defeated The Batten Twins (Bart Batten and Brad Batten) when Brad Armstrong pinned Bart Batten with the Russian Legsweep in 0:09:18.

* Lance introduced a very young Sean Michaels from San Antonio, Texas when they were joined by the masked Bullet Bob Armstrong. The Bullet welcomed Sean to Alabama and Southern Championship Wrestling. Art Crews came out of the back, yelling at Lance for wasting his time on these young punks who were a dime a dozen and The Bullet should worry more about getting beat by "The Blond Bomber" than being Alabama's Welcome Wagon.

Bob Armstrong defeated Art Crews by disqualification in 0:10:15.
Rating: -1/2*

* 2nd Commercial Break. Next week surprises galore as Lance discusses the Televison Title picture, Sean Michaels makes his SCW debut and a young superstar comes to Mobile, Alabama!

* As advertised, Lance was joined by Gary Hart and wanted to know who he was trying to get his evil clutches on? Hart laughed it off, saying he was in the territory to do what he did best and that was scouting talent. He said he liked what he saw so far and was looking forward to next week.

Ox Baker defeated Scott Armstrong by disqualification in 0:04:40.
Rating: *
[Steve Armstrong interfered against Ox Baker.]

* Coming off last week's beating, Steve Armstrong was out for a little payback but his chairshot cost his brother the match. While Steve helped Scott to his feet, Baker recovered and hammered both Armstrongs until Pistol Pez Whatley hit the ring. Just as he did last week, Pistol Pez threw down with a flurry of  lefts and rights but took a little too long winding up for one big punch, giving the big man an opening for a Heart Punch. There were two hits, Ox hitting Whatley and Whatley hitting the canvas as the show went off the air.

* Lance was back, opening the show with Sean Michaels in his gear, ready to go. The modest Alabama cheers turned to a heavy dose of booing as Art Crews came out and told everyone to shut up. He let everyone in on a secret, that he and Michaels had wrestled before, in Michaels' debut and just as he won the first time he was going the beat him from pillar to post today.

Sean Michaels pinned Art Crews with the Superkick in 0:10:17.

* Lance was joined by Gary Hart who was asked if he he had found what he was looking for yet. Hart had no comment as he grinned. First up was the impressive SCW debut of Sean Michaels to which Hart agreed and added that Art Crews might be eating through a straw for awhile, next up was the crowning of the Southern States Television Champion. Next week, a 10-man Battle Royal with the winner being the last man standing. The last order of business was this young man coming to Mobile, Alabama from up north ... The Tonga Kid! The Somoan Savage came out to a mixed reaction and didn't appear too happy. He pulled the mic away from Lance and said he left up north looking for some competition and he hoped that Southern Championship Wrestling had some to offer.

The Tonga Kid defeated Rex King by disqualification in 0:05:43.
Rating: 1/2*

* 2nd Commercial Break. Next week surprises galore as Southern Championship Wrestling crowns a champion!

* Back from the commercial, Lance was joined by the evil looking Ox Baker. Mentioning Steve Armstrong's payback last week, Lance was abruptly cut off by the big man who called him an idiot. What Armstrong did was lose the match AND allowed Ox to do something he enjoyed very much ... beat down two people. Speaking of two people, Lance jumped in, this week, Ox was getting a double dose of Armstrong in a Handicap Match against Steve and Scott. Baker bellowed he likes to hurt people as he smacked his taped left fist before leaving for the ring.

Handicap-Match:
Ox Baker defeated Scott Armstrong and Steve Armstrong when O. Baker pinned Steve Armstrong with the Heart Punch in 0:14:22.
Rating: **

* The Armstrongs held their own against the much larger Ox using their speed and quick tags to stay fresh and keep the big man from landing one of his big bombs.Almost going the distance, it was Steve who got tagged which signaled the beginning of the end. Not satisfied with the win, Baker went after Scott, brutalizing him until the referee threatened to disqualify him. That's when Pistol Pez Whatley came to the rescue only to be felled by a clubbing overhand right and a left to the heart. With three down, Ox was chased from the ring by Bullet Bob, Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner as the show went off the air.

* The opening was interrupted as Lance was joined by a loud and angry Ox Baker. After telling the idiots to shutup, he lashed into Lance for his part in keeping the big guy off the show and unable to hurt people, being as that was his favorite thing to do. Lance was quick to assure him, he had nothing to do with who had a match and who didn't. With Baker slapping his big left paw, Gary Hart came out to diffuse the situation. With briefcase in hand, he was prepared to make an interesting offer. Baker calmed for a moment before telling Lance he was off the hook, then turned towards Hart, telling the "snakeoil salesman" he liked to hurt people, first by knocking them down with his Heart Punch, then by kicking them in the face but today all he needed was one. Hart never saw the blow before hitting the floor as Baker stormed off, with a smile on his face.

* Back from the commercial found Brad Armstrong in the ring with The Tonga Kid before the match started. Armstrong offered his hand but the Kid just turned and went back to his corner.

The Tonga Kid and Brad Armstrong battled to a double countout in 0:06:36.
Rating: * 1/2

* With the match over, there were a few angry words between the two as Brad was held back by the referee. The Tonga Kid egged on Armstrong, bringing out a second ref to keep them apart. The Tonga Kid finally left when Tim Horner, Scott and Steve Armstrong came out from the back to pull Brad away. Lance Russell was over with mic in hand for any words. A fuming Brad said that if The Tonga Kid wanted to refuse a handshake, that was fine by him and if he wanted a streetfight, he came to the right place!

* After Brad was pulled away, Pistol Pez Whatley charged out from the back with his fists up, looking for a fight. He said he was out to help his friends, the Armstrongs with the Tonga Kid. Looking around and not seeing anyone, Pez scratched his head and asked where did they go? Lance just shook his head and pointed to the back as the Pistol ran off.

* 2nd Commercial Break. Next week surprises galore as a #1 Contender to the Southern States Television Title is chosen!

* Lance opened the program with Sean Michaels, telling the young wrestler that the fans were behind him 110% last week when it was down to the last two in the Battle Royal. An almost shy Michaels said he gave it his all and wished he could have pulled it out and felt that he could, with the fans support. He hoped that with a win today he'd get a second chance at Landel. Brad Batten came out and wished Michaels luck in the match, hoping the better man would win and go on to face Landel next week. As the two shook hands, Bart Batten came out and said he should be facing Michaels and not his brother. When Lance asked why, Bart said a mistake was made and Lance needed to fix it. Lance said the match had been made and the contracts had been signed, despite whatever Bart was talking about, his brother was facing Sean Michaels today!

Brad Batten pinned Sean Michaels with the FLYING DROPKICK in 0:12:19.

* Near the end of the match, Michaels took a horrific spill to the floor, when Art Crews came out to the ring and pulled down the ropes to help himself up onto the apron. Even with the referee threatening to call the match, Michaels wanted to continue. Afterwards, he had to be helped to the back

Rating: ** 1/4

* After the match, Brad Armstrong along with brother, Steve and Tim Horner, joined Lance. Lance asked if The Tonga Kid's presence had bothered Brad during the match. Brad said he was happy that The Tonga Kid had come out during the match because maybe now he knew what a wrasslin' match was supposed to be and not the brawl the two had last week. It was over pretty quickly when Steve and Tim came out to get his back if there had been any sign of trouble ... but if The Tonga Kid wanted trouble, he knew where to come get some because the Armstrongs didn't back down. Lance turned his attention to Tim who had a match with Ox Baker. He asked if Tim had any plans on how to beat the big man? Tim said it was all in the lightning speed and he was going to try and keep him down on the mat where everyone was the same size. Steve jumped in saying he had Tim's back.

Bullet Bob Armstrong and Scott Armstrong defeated Norvell Austin and Rex King when Scott Armstrong pinned Rex King after a backslide in 0:10:55.
Rating: ** 1/2

* After the match, there were a few words between Bullet Bob and Art Crews, who had come to help Rex King out of the ring. A smug Crews backed away when Armstrong came forward but took a poke at the masked Bullet when he turned away. A second referee and Norvell Austin moved in to seperate both groups going into a commercial.

* 2nd Commercial Break. Next week surprises galore as Buddy Landel makes his first Southern States Television Title defense against the #1 Contender, Brad Batten. Also Lance discusses the Tag Team Tournament to crown a champion!

* Lance was with Southern States Television Champion Buddy Landel. Landel turned slowly to show off his brightly sequined robe to the booing fans. As Lance tried to ask a question, Landel quickly cut him off. He said that suddenly he became the most significant wrestler in the southern states because he held the title belt. He was the one getting all the attention and he was the one everyone was gunning for. It didn't matter who was the better man in the #1 Contender's Match because, HE, Buddy Landel was the BEST. As Landel strutted off, an angry Gary Hart came out to a Lance Russell "Oh brother". When asked what HE wanted, Hart said last week Ox Baker made a very big mistake by putting his hands on Hart ... something he was going to pay for. Gary Hart stepped behind Lance Russell as Ox Baker came out to the ring for his match.

Ox Baker pinned Tim Horner with the Heart Punch in 0:11:20.
Rating: ***

* Horner did as he said by trying to keep out of range of the wreaking ball-like fist and take Baker to the mat. As things turned out, he did that well for a little over 11 minutes, frustrating the big man. It was the last few seconds of the match that was his undoing when he was caught and fell victim to the Heart Punch. With pent up frustration, Baker went on a rampage, taking it out on Horner before Steve Armstrong jumped in, only to be put down. Pistol Pez Whatley rushed out to the ring and was pulled in by his head and whipped across the ring, only to be knocked off his feet by one staggering blow. Baker put the boots to Horner but was run off by Bullet Bob, Brad and Scott Armstrong who attended to the downed Horner as the show went off the air.

* Lance and the injured Sean Michaels, wearing a neck brace opened the show to a big cheer. Michaels thought he had the match against Brad Batten won until Art Crews yanked the ropes down on him and he hit the floor. Lance said the doctors told him that Sean would miss several weeks due to the injury. The boobirds were on as Art Crews strolled on out. He said he told everyone that he'd take care of the cheating Texan and send him packing. Since he was injured, he might as well leave right now. The boos turned to cheers as Michaels leveled Crews with a kick to the chops before walking off

The Tonga Kid and Bart Batten battled to a double countout in 0:09:26.
Rating: **** 1/4

* The Tonga Kid and Bart Batten brawled both inside and outside the ring, hitting each other and the referee with everything and anything they could get their hands on. Busted open, Batten gave a good account of himself in a match that brought several of the wrestlers out from the back to watch.

* Following the match an excited Lance was joined by Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner. Lance quickly broke down the  rules for the tag team titles beginning in two weeks with eight teams competing in a double elimination tournament. That's when Pistol Pez Whatley came out slapping Armstrong and Horner on the back. He told Lance he was excited to be a part of Southern Championship Wrestling history by throwing his name into the hat. When asked who his partner was, Pez turned towards Armstrong and nodded at him. A surprised Armstrong quickly shook it off explaining he was tagging with Horner before the two of them walked off. Norvell Austin walked out from the back and offered his services if the Pistol needed a partner. With a look of disgust, Whatley waved him off before heading to the back.

* The tag match turned into a handicap match as Art Crews was nowhere to be found after taking one on the chin from Sean Michaels to open the show. Bullet Bob and Scott made short work of Rex King, beating him for the second week in a row. After the match, the winners joined Lance. The Bullet was disappointed that Art Crews couldn't make the match and take a little more of a beating. Scott hoped they'd meet up in the tag tournament. For a second time, a smiling Pistol Pez Whatley was out from the back, this time, he came out with hugs for both Armstrongs which drew strange looks from both them and Lance. Pez pushed inbetween the Armstrongs and put his arms around them before going on about the tradition of Alabama wrestling and the greats before him. He said this tournament would allow him to put his name up there with the greats of the past and what better way to become a legend of the sport than by having a legend as his partner? With great surprise, Bullet Bob said he already had a partner. Whatley turned towards Scott who backed away laughing. The Armstrongs left in a hurry while a smirking Lance took it to a commercial.

* 2nd Commercial Break. Next week surprises galore as Lance discusses the Tag Team Tournament to crown a champion!

Ox Baker pinned Norvell Austin with the Heart Punch in 0:09:18.
Rating: ** 1/4

* Austin gave a good showing against the much bigger man, keeping him on the defensive and even staggering the 320 pound Baker several times but just as had happened week after week, Ox showed he needed just one small opening, taking Norvell Austin down with a Heart Punch that sounded loudly throughout the studio. Before he could do more damage, Baker was pulled away by the referee while Steve Armstrong came in and pulled Austin from the ring. Pez Whatley charged the ring but thought better of getting inside.

* Brad Batten joined Lance on his way to the ring. He said that it was unfortunate that last week had to end the way it did with Sean Michaels getting injured but he had been named the #1 Contender and had to move forward. Brother Bart, a bandage on his head, came out complaining. Pointing at Lance, he said he should have been taking on Landel for the title and Brad should have been the one getting his head busted open by the crazy Samoan. Lance said that Bart might have been rammed into those ringsteps just one time too many in his match against The Tonga Kid. Bart said that Lance knew exactly what he was talking about because it was his flub that caused all this. The referees came out and pulled Bart to the back, leaving a confused Lance Russell, shaking his head.

Southern States Television Title Match:
Buddy Landel pinned Brad Batten after a Double Arm DDT in 0:14:33.
Rating: *
(Buddy Landel retained the Southern States Television Title.)

* The match was fairly competitive when Landel wasn't strutting or complaining to the referee about his tights or hair being pulled, when it was plain to see that is wasn't. While it wasn't anything like his brother's match against The Tonga Kid, Brad was able to get the fans' support early on in the match.

* Somewhere in the back, The Tonga Kid stood alone looking directly into the camera. He said Bullet Bob and Scott Armstrong, Brad Armstong and Tim Horner and anyone else in the tag team tournament had better prepare themselves because The Tonga Kid was bringing someone to help him take the tag titles ... off the bodies of anyone who got in their way!

It wasn't really so much meant as a surprise but a foreshadowing of things to come. Will The Tonga Kid be able to actually wrestle a match inside the ring in order to win and will Samu follow suit or will they go down in flames in the first round? I think the surprises will be in the random match-ups.

Lots of plans coming. Following the tag tournament, there are currently plans in place for a big Fairgrounds Show was well as the beginnings to Crowning a Heavyweight Champion.

So climb on board because there is alot on the way. Also, if you like something, let me know. Want to see something, also let me know. Don't like something, I want to know.
