Backstage, Mr. McMahon announces due to his victories over Andre the Giant he is naming himself as Superstar of the year. He then invites everyone to attend a Christmas party he's throwing on Smackdown Friday. A video airs at 10:59-et. It shows some of the attacks caused by the Injustice League. We then see a seperate photo of each member come on on screen as a gunshot is heard in the background. A message then reads: The hunters, become the hunted. the clock now shows. 17 days 22 hours 56 minutes Vader is the #1 contender for the Heavyweight Championship. Backstage, Bruno Sammartino welcomes back William Regal. Regal returns to action after being out since July due to an injury. The Injustice League are shown arriving. Mean Gene Okerlund interviews them backstage about tonight being the night the countdown hits zero. After the main event, Kevin Nash comes to the ring to confront The Undertaker. Nash announces he's spoken with Bruno Sammartino and he's getting his title shot against Undertaker at No Way Out. Nash leaves the ring and starts heading towards the backstage area, when the countdown comes up on the titan tron. It shows 1 minute remaining. The clock hits zero and nothing happens. Kevin Nash starts laughing as he heads backstage. Nash joins the rest of the Injustice League and we see them exit the arena. They head towards their limo in the parking lot, but before they get to it, the limo explodes. After the explosion, numerous flyers are littering the parking lot. Sting picks one up, he reads the flyer and crumples it. As the show is going off the air, the camera zooms in on one of the flyers and it reads: Time to play the game. Card rating: *** 1/2 |
