ECW on Sci-Fi
January 23, 2007
Resch Center
Green Bay, Wisconsin

The closing moments from the main event on last week's episode are shown, where ECW Champion, Matt Striker and Christopher W. Anderson stare at each other as the show went off the air. "Bodies" by Drowning Pool begins to play as the "ECW: on Sci-Fi" entrance begins. After the video montage ends, the scene opens up inside the Resch Center in Green Bay. The arena seems dark compared to other events, however, the crowd sitting around ringside are cheering like crazy as the camera pans around the arena.

JS: "Welcome everyone to ECW! We are coming to you live from frigid Green Bay, Wisconsin, and we are just five days away from the Royal Rumble! Joey Styles here, along side Tazz. Tazz, coming in less then a week away from the first-ever Royal Rumble with the ECW brand, we know that we will be sending in six participants into the Rumble match, itself. Is there anyone on this roster who could make a strong path to a victory, Sunday night?"
T: "Joey, that's actually a hard question to answer at this moment, seeing as how no one has announced which six members of ECW will be competing this Sunday night. So, at this time, I'm going to say that it's anyone's for the taking."
JS: "We do know that ECW Champion, Matt Striker will be facing off against Christopher W. Anderson in a Random Gimmick Title Match this Sunday night. But, because they are in a title match, they will not be permitted to compete in the Rumble. So, as you were implying, Tazz, that leaves a huge question mark as to who in ECW will be in the main event in five days."

"The Reject" Shannon Moore is introduced to the Green Bay crowd as he appears from the entrance area, in a long, sleeveless jacket. His blonde hair is pointed upwards in a Mohawk, and his face is covered with black paint. The crowd doesn't know how to react to him as he makes his way down to the ring.

JS: "This is the first time we've seen "The Reject" Shannon Moore here on ECW, Tazz. It's going to be interesting to see what he can bring to the "new breed"."
T: "It is going to interesting to see. We're going to see if he has what it takes to hang here in the new ECW.

"Outlaw" Mike Knox is introduced. He walks through the entrance, accompanied by Kelly Kelly, who causes the crowd to holler with excitement. She plays to the crowd for a moment before Knox pulls her back behind her. He quickly walks to the ring, and slides under the bottom rope. This gives Kelly the chance to turn around and play to the crowd more. Knox turns around and starts to yell at Kelly as the bell rings. Moore takes advantage of Knox's preoccupation to gain the early advantage.

Mike Knox (w/Kelly Kelly) pinned Shannon Moore with the Whip It in 15:11.
Rating: *** 1/4

After the match, Knox and Kelly Kelly leave the ring area quickly, as Moore stares at the referee in disbelief.

JS: "Tazz, Shannon Moore had that match won! If it were for Kelly Kelly, Shannon Moore would've walked out of here with the win, tonight!"
T: "To tell you the truth, I'm shocked, myself! I didn't think that pretty little thing would do something like that. When Shannon Moore hit his "Mooregasm", I knew it was all over, Styles. I guess Kelly had other things in mind."
JS: "It just goes to show you... you can't always trust a pretty face."

As Moore slowly gets to his feet and leaves the ring, the scenes cuts to the backstage area, where WWE/ECW Owner, Vince McMahon is seen with Rebecca DiPierto.

RD: "Mister McMahon, a lot of talk has been going around tonight about the reasons why you have shown up here. Could you give us any details about your visit, tonight?"
VM: "I am here tonight, because I've watch the new incarnation of ECW move, unmanaged for almost a month now. Though I feel the new ECW has done well in the last month, I have the feeling that it could do much, much better. And, Rebecca, that is why I am here tonight. Since I have an extremely large interest in ECW - no pun intended - I have decided to put the development of this program squarely on my own shoulders."
RD: "Mister McMahon, you are going to be in charge of ECW?"
VM: "Indeed! And, since we are just a few days away from the Royal Rumble, in which six ECW Superstars will compete, along with 12 Superstars from Raw and Smackdown. Tonight, I intend to see all six of these Superstars in action..."
RD: "... well, Mister McMahon, a lot of people have been wondering: who are the six men that are going to the Royal Rumble?"
VM: "Rebecca, I know the roster is anxious to find out, so allow me to reveal who will represent ECW this Sunday night. The six men will be: Al Snow, Balls Mahoney, Danny Doring, Derek Neikirk, Little Guido, and Tommy Dreamer. And, as I said before, those six men will be in action, tonight, competing in a six-man tag team match. In fact, Rebecca, I believe that this match should take place... next!"

JS: "Oh my God!"
T: "What a match that's gonna be!"

ECW goes to commercial as McMahon walks off-camera, leaving Rebecca alone.

The show returns, showing the ring area.

JS: "Welcome back to ECW on SciFi. Before the break, we found out two bombshells; one of which will change the face of ECW, forever!"
T: "You've got that right, Styles! Tonight, it was announced - that tonight, the six men who are going into the Royal Rumble, will be facing each other in a six-man tag match that's set to take place any moment!
JS: "Tazz, that's only one half of the big news! We also found out that Vince McMahon - the owner and chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment is going to be running the new version of ECW, by himself! Tazz, this is going to change ECW forever!"
T: "Well, I know it's going to shake things up, Styles. But, for now, we need to worry about this match coming up. Vince McMahon's vision of ECW will certainly makes its mark whenever Vince is ready to expose it."

Derek Neikirk is introduced, and comes out to relatively no reaction from the crowd. Soon after, Little Guido is introduced and comes out, accompanied by Big Guido and Trinity who has on a short black mini-skirt and a skimpy black top, which gets a lot of cheers from the male fans. With Neikirk now in the ring, and Guido making his way down the ramp, "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer is introduced. He walks out to a mixed reaction from the crowd...

T: "I don't understand this, Styles. Tommy Dreamer is teaming up with Derek Neikirk and Little Guido? I can't wrap my brain around why."
JS: "It's hard to say, Tazz. Maybe Dreamer just got the bad end of the draw. We'll just have to wait and find out."

With all three participants in the ring, Balls Mahoney is introduced. The crowd begins to chant "Balls, Balls!" as he appears with Francine by his side - who's wearing a short, tight, white dress, showing off her curves. As they make their way down the aisle, Al Snow is introduced. The crowd continues to cheer, this time chanting "We want Head!" as Snow appears, carrying the mannequin "Head" with him. He seems to be speaking to it on his way down the aisle. Next up, "Dastardly" Danny Doring is introduced. The crowd's cheers continue, though slightly softened as he appears and makes his way down the aisle. Now, with all six men in the ring, the referee starts the match. Tommy Dreamer and Al Snow start off...

Balls Mahoney, Al Snow, and Danny Doring (w/Francine) defeated Derek Neikirk, Little Guido, and Tommy Dreamer (w/Big Guido & Trinity) when Doring pinned Little Guido after a crucifix in 4:15.
Rating: ** ½

The bell sounds, ending the match quicker then anyone in Green Bay would've thought. Some of the crowd cheers for the winners, while others boo the fact that the match was so short. Doring slides out of the ring as Little Guido looks on in shocked horror. Doring joins his team mates in the aisle as the losing team looks on in confusion.

JS: "Tazz, Danny Doring stole that victory... and I'm using stole in the nicest way possible!"
T: "He did just that, Styles. Danny Doring took advantage of an opportunity that presented itself, and he got the victory for his team."

Mahoney, Snow, and Doring make their way up the aisle as ECW takes another commercial break.

Coming back from the final time out, a promotional spot for this Sunday's Royal Rumble is shown. A video montage is shown, showcasing all the events that are leading up to the pay-per-view. As the last video ends, the scene cuts to a live shot of ECW World Champion, Matt Striker heading towards the ring entrance area.

JS: "In just five days, that man - ECW Champion, Matt Striker - must put his ECW World title on the line against ECW Original, Christopher W. Anderson in a Random Gimmick Match at the Royal Rumble! But tonight, he will face another ECW Original - one we just saw in the last match - when he steps into the ring with Al Snow, in a non-title match."
T: "Styles, being an ECW Original, myself, I don't care for the punk-ass attitude that Matt Striker as been displaying as of late. So, I'm hoping for two things this week. One, that Al Snow shows the current champ what and ECW Original has in store for him... and that C.W. Anderson walks away form the Royal Rumble with the ECW World Title."

Al Snow is introduced as the crowd begins to cheer once again. Snow was lucky in the last match, in that he didn't spend too much time inside the ring, and that the match was very short. The chants of "We want Head!" are lower then just a few minutes ago, but Snow walks down the aisle holding the mannequin head, all the same. He gets into the ring and throws Head into the air while head-banging to his music. Soon after, Snow softly places Head in the corner, under the bottom turnbuckle, where he lays on the canvas and seems to speak to the mannequin. This odd display is broken up as the ECW Champion is introduced. Matt Striker appears from the entrance area, with the ECW World Title around his waist - much to the hatred of the loyal ECW fans. Striker mocks the crowd on his way to the ring, causing the boos to get louder. He enters the ring and takes off his title as he stands on the turnbuckles, showing off his gold to the Green Bay crowd. He gets off the turnbuckle and motions to Snow that he can't lose before giving the title to the referee as the match begins.

Non-Title Match:
ECW Champion Matt Striker pinned Al Snow with the Golden Rule in 8:07.
Rating: ** 1/4

The bell rings, ending the match, as the crowd continues to boo. Matt Striker gets to his victory as the camera shows a bloodied Al Snow, lying on the canvas. Striker rolls outside the ring and grabs the ECW title from the time-keeper before making his way down the aisle.

JS: "Matt Striker walks out of the ring, once again, as the victor. He is walking into the Royal Rumble on a two-match winning streak."
T: "It's up to C.W. Anderson to show Striker what ECW is made of. This Sunday night, in a Random Gimmick Match. It's going to be very interesting, Styles, to see what comes of this match."
JS: "We'll see what transpires this Sunday night and have more great action next week in Madison. For Tazz, I'm Joey Styles... goodnight!"

ECW goes off the air, as a bloody Al Snow slowly makes his way to the back.

ECW on Sci FI

Kohl Center
Madison, Wisconsin

The show opens with ECW Champion, Matt Striker, in the ring.

MS: "All you people, here tonight... you all thought that Christopher W. Anderson had what it took to beat me at the Royal Rumble. However, I stand before you tonight... still, the ECW World Champion! Sunday night, I proved what I'd been saying since my arrival - that I am the smartest man to ever grace the ECW ring! In fact, I believe it'd be save to say that I'm smarter than the entire ECW roster, combined!"

... at this point, Al Snow has joined Striker, in the ring...

AS: "Matt Striker, you've been running your mouth for weeks now, about how you "claim" to be the best thing to happen to ECW. You don't realize that you're the total opposite of everything ECW stands for! You may be the ECW Champion - for now - and I may have a other obligations to take care of before WrestleMania, but you need to understand that I have a long time to decide who I'm going to face on April 1st. So, don't think you're out of the woods yet, because you may be the unfortunate one. Because, if at WrestleMania, you and I face off... unlike Christopher W. Anderson, I will so you the true meaning of "hardcore"."

Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match:

(Al Snow retained the Intercontinental Championship.)

As ECW come back from commercials, Rob Conway was standing backstage.

RC: "Extreme Championship Wrestling; the home of Hardcore. Well now, it's the new home of yours truly, Rob Conway. You see, over the past few years, I wasn't able to make the name for myself like I wanted, in this business. However, all of that is going to change now that I'm the newest Extremist on Tuesday nights. Tonight, I am going to show all my doubters exactly why I am pure perfection. And, when that is all set and done, I will set my sights on something bigger - the ECW World Championship. Now, I know by looking at me, you are all thinking the same thing: Rob Conway would make the perfect ECW Champion. Naturally, I will have to agree."

After the match, ECW Champion, Matt Striker was backstage, with Rebecca DiPietro.

RD: "Matt Striker, let me begin by congratulating you on your successful title defense, Sunday, at the Royal Rumble."
MS: "Thank you, Rebecca. But, the congratulations can be held back, because it shouldn't have been a surprise. As I said earlier tonight, there's no one in ECW that could possibly take this title away from me."
RD: "Well, we know that Al Snow is the number one contender for whatever title he chooses. Do you feel the same way about the possibility of facing him at WrestleMania?"
MS: "Listen to me, Rebecca. It's obvious that you're not here because you're a great interviewer. Let me break it down for you, and for the people at home - who, I'm sure have the same look that you have on your face right now. Al Snow is not a threat to me and the ECW Title. If he wants a shot at it, that's fine. He has until WrestleMania to decide that. However, Al Snow has found himself in a situation he didn't foresee. Sunday night, he won the Intercontinental Title, along with the Royal Rumble. So, now, instead of having just to worry about which main event he wants at WrestleMania, he now has to worry about all those people who will be wanting title matches against him for a belt he shouldn't even have! The fact is, Rebecca, there is no one on this roster who I'm afraid of. And, to prove it, I'm issuing an open challenge to anyone on the ECW roster to a ECW Title match next week. Since Al Snow has his hands full - for the time being - why should I wait around for him? I will go out to that ring, next week, and give some unlucky person a lesson he won't soon forget."

ECW on Sci Fi
February 6, 2007
Taco Bell Arena
Boise, Idaho

Vince McMahon starts off the program, coming to the ring and reminding everyone in Boise that he is the one and only owner of ECW. The crowd doesn't like this, causing them to think back to the old days of the original Extreme Championship Wrestling. They boo the thoughts of having Vince McMahon as the one in charge. Vince tells the crowd to shut up, because he has something important to say about the ECW World Championship. He tells the crowd that - yes, last night on RAW, Al Snow announced that he will be making his decision as to who he will face at WrestleMania. However, McMahon tells the crowd that Al Snow has other things on his plate, as seen by the attack by Umaga at the end of RAW, last night. Vince says that Al Snow is guaranteed his title match on April 1st, but his opponent may not be Matt Striker. Vince says that, tonight, in Boise, Matt Striker will defend the ECW World Title against the current number one contender - Stevie Richards. The crowd gasps in shock, hearing that Richards - of all people - is getting a chance to be the man in ECW. Vince says that the match will take place with Hardcore Rules. Vince then leaves the ring, leaving the crowd in stunned shock.

In the back, Tony Mamaluke tells Rebecca DiPierto that Chris Masters had no place, taking him out last week. He says that, he may not be one of the bigger players in ECW, but he's not going to sit around and let someone from RAW get away with what happened. Mamaluke then challenges Chris Masters to a match next week.

Balls Mahoney (w/Francine) defeated Hardcore Holly by countout in 16:45.
Rating: 3/4*

The crowd makes sure to let both wrestlers know that they are not happy with the count out decision in this match. He makes his way up the ramp as the crowd continues to show their disapproval.

He says there's a lot riding on this match, because he knows he might not get this opportunity, again.

In a taped message, filmed from the E Center in Salt Lake City, Royal Rumble winner Al Snow said that he may have lost the Intercontinental Title last night, but it wouldn't take his mind off the decision he has to make regarded WrestleMania. Snow promised that everyone in the WWE would know of his intentions this coming Monday, and that it might shock a few people... but, others, it might not.

ECW on Sci Fi
February 13, 2007
Key Arena
Seattle, Washington

Al Snow starts the show, coming to the ring, saying that Matt Striker pinned him in a tag team match last night on RAW. Snow says that the same result will not happen at WrestleMania. The crowd gives Snow a mixed reaction, since he has lost the Intercontinental title and to Matt Striker in the last month. The cheers turn to boos as Vince McMahon comes out to the ring, and reminds Snow that the ECW owner has something special planned for him, later tonight. McMahon says that Snow will be stepping into the ring with someone that McMahon has brought in especially for this match. McMahon says that, the person he has brought in, will destroy the number one contender. The crowd loves this announcement, as they love knowing that someone could be getting a beating later tonight.

In the back, Hardcore Holly confronts Balls Mahoney, saying that last week's victory was a fluke. Holly challenges Mahoney to a no-countout match later tonight. Mahoney says that he'd give nothing more then to beat Holly again in front of all the fans in Seattle. The mention of their city got the crowd to cheer, loudly.

Christopher W. Anderson pinned Shannon Moore after a T-Bone Suplex in 2:23.
Rating: *** 1/4

Backstage, after the match, Rebecca DiPerito is with Mike Knox. Knox tells Rebecca that Roughhouse O'Reilly had no right to do what he did last week, staring at Kelly Kelly at ringside. Rebecca tells Knox that, it's something he may have to just deal with, seeing as the fans tend to find Kelly attractive. Knox threatens to smack Rebecca, but stops when Kelly appears beside him. She tells Knox that she can't help if the crowd likes what she has to offer. She says that she comes out to the ring with Knox, because she's with him; not O'Reilly. Kelly says what she did last week was nothing but flirting, because she knows that O'Reilly has no chance of getting with her. Knox says that's "damn right"... but is interrupter as O'Reilly appears. O'Reilly says that he may not have a chance with Kelly now, but sooner or later, she will realize that she's better then Knox. This infuriates Knox, and he challenges O'Reilly to a no-disqualification match next week in San Diego.

In Vince McMahon's office, McMahon is with ECW Champion, Matt Striker. Vince says that Striker should pay close attention to what happens in tonight's main event as, the person that he has brought over will make an example out of Al Snow. Striker says that Snow doesn't stand a chance against tonight's opponent or Striker at WrestleMania. Vince says that he doesn't see any way that Snow can come out of tonight with a victory. But, if he does, Vince promises that he will make Snow's life a living hell until WrestleMania.

Tony Mamaluke (w/Big Guido & Trinity) pinned Chris Masters after a springboard leaping swinging DDT in 2:27.

Afterwards, Masters had a stunned look on his face as he was shocked by the quickness of the match. Mamaluke, along with Big Guido and Trinity celebrate the match, having finally evened the score with RAW's Masters.

In the back, Vince McMahon tells Rebecca that he was very impressed with the match that Sabu and Test put on last week. He says it was good to hear the crowd get into a match like that, seeing as he was the mastermind behind it. McMahon says that he enjoyed hearing the crowd's approval for the match, that he has decided to have them face each other again, next week... only with a little something added to the mix. Vince says that next week's match will be a Table's Match. Next, Vince says that he is now ready to introduce the man that will be taking on Al Snow later in the evening. A large man, standing about six-foot-seven and looking to weigh two-hundred and seventy-five pounds walks into view as Rebecca stands back. Vince introduces the man as Rex Butler. Vince says that tonight, this man is going to prove that Al Snow does not deserve to be the number one contender for Matt Striker's ECW Championship. Vince says that Rex is going to destroy Snow in front of everyone in Seattle. Rex then begins to laugh, sadistically as the scene fades.

The two men continued to battle outside the ring, which saw Rex Butler throw a battered Al Snow into the guardrail, then smacking his back on the exposed concrete. The crowd booed Butler's actions as Vince McMahon came down to the ring and called off the attack. Vince grabbed a microphone and said that he didn't care if Rex won or lost... the point was made that Al Snow isn't worthy of getting a title shot at WrestleMania. Hardcore Holly came into this match with a slight weight advantage over Moore, but it didn't factor into the match at the beginning, as "The Reject" found himself with the advantage. However, using his experience, Holly was about to turn the tide, and connect with the Alabama Slam for the victory.

Interview:
In the back, ECW newcomer, Chris Masters speaks with Rebecca. When asked his thoughts about coming over to ECW, Masters says that he made his announcement last week, because he wants to put an end to the situation between himself and Tony Mamaluke. Rebecca tells Masters that Mamaluke has been scheduled for the main event, Masters says that he will then issue an open challenge to anyone on the ECW roster that wants to take on "The Masterpiece".

CM Punk made Roughhouse O'Reilly submit to the Anaconda Vice in 9:37.
Rating: *** 1/4

Punk had a much better outing this week, after taking a hit in the wallet for his actions last week. He was determined to make up for his bad decision, and did just that, in taking down the bigger O'Reilly. After the match, Punk made his way to the back, holding his shoulder in pain.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Backstage:
In his office, Vince McMahon tells Matt Striker and Rex Butler that he needs to send a message to Little Guido because he doesn't think the point's getting across. Rex gets an evil smile on his face and - without saying a word - leaves the room, leaving Striker and McMahon to wonder what his intentions are.

Mike Knox (w/Kelly Kelly) pinned Rob Conway after a flying legdrop in 13:20.
Rating: ** ½

Mike Knox kept his winning streak going this week, with a win over Rob Conway - who has yet to successfully make a name for himself since coming over to ECW. After the match, Knox and Kelly celebrated outside the ring as Conway held his throat, inside the ring.

Backstage:
In Little Guido's locker room, he's seen getting ready for the main event match. Tony Mamaluke is standing in the corner, talking to Big Guido and Trinity. From the hallway, Rex Butler enters the room and attacks Little Guido from behind, throwing him into the wooden lockers against the wall. The commotion causes Big Guido to push Mamaluke away and stand face to face with Butler as the crowd begins to murmur in the arena. Butler stares into Big Guido's eyes and smiles, sadistically, before leaving the room. Mamaluke and Trinity tend to Little Guido as Big Guido continues to stare in Rex's direction.

[Big Guido and Al Snow interfered against Matt Striker.]
[Trinity interfered against Rex Butler.]

Little Guido came out, holding his lower back, from the attack before the commercial break. The F.B.I and the team of Striker and Butler took it took each other, as Vince McMahon's men hoped to send their opponents a message from Vince. However, it was Al Snow - who shocked the crowd in San Jose - who sent a message to the ECW Champion, breaking up his pinfall attempt on Little Guido. This infuriated Butler, who entered the ring (along with Big Guido and Mamaluke) as all five men brawled in the center of the ring. ECW officials rushed down to the ring hoping to break up the melee. The program went off the air as the ring began to fill with officials and security.

ECW on Sci Fi
March 6, 2007
Tucson Convention Center
Tucson, Arizona

Beginning:
Highlights from last week's tag team match are shown, including the final moments of the show which involved the five-man brawl as the program went off the air. As the highlight ends, "Bodies" plays as the show's introduction begins. Tazz and Joey Styles welcome everyone to the desert of Tucson. Styles announces that Roughhouse O'Reilly will face Rob Conway, as well as Chris Masters taking on Stevie Richards. Tazz says that Masters has looked good since coming over from RAW... one of a very few people who can say that they've done so.

In the Ring:
Al Snow's music plays as he walks to the ring, holding his lower back from the attack he suffered at the hands of Rex Butler two weeks ago. The crowd cheers for him as he grabs a microphone. He tells the crowd that he came to the aid of Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke... only because he wasn't going to give Vince McMahon the satisfaction of knowing that the Owner's actions had gotten to him. Snow says that he hates the fact that Matt Striker is still ECW World Champion... and that he will do anything to make sure he loses that title come WrestleMania. Much to the crowd's delight, Snow says that the only way he thinks that can happen, is if he - himself - is the Number One Contender. Snow then issues a challenge to Little Guido, for the title match in three weeks in Detroit. The crowd boos as Vince McMahon's music marks the ECW Owner's entrance into the arena. As he gets into the ring, McMahon and Snow stare at each other for a tense moment before McMahon tells the Tucson crowd that Snow and Little Guido will be in a match tonight... but not against each other. McMahon announces that Little Guido will be facing Danny Doring in tonight's main event... whereas, Al Snow will be facing Mike Knox in his match. Sarcastically, McMahon wishes Snow a good evening before leaving the ring as the show goes to commercials.

Interview:
Coming back from commercials, Little Guido is seen, standing with Rebecca DiPierto backstage. Rebecca asks L.G. about the announcement made by Vince McMahon... L.G. says that he's going to stick by what he said last week, about McMahon abusing his power as the General Manager of ECW. He tells Rebecca that, if he had his way, he would give Al Snow his Number One Contenders Match... but that, for now, it'll have to wait. At this time, the crowd starts to boo as ECW Champion, Matt Striker, walks into view. He forces his way inbetween Rebecca and L.G., looking at the current #1 Contender eye-to-eye. Striker tells L.G. that Vince McMahon is abusing his power, and it's only going to help Striker keep the title around his waist. The champion says that, instead of wasting his time - thinking about Al Snow - Guido should be worrying about their up-coming match at WrestleMania. Striker walks off to more boos as L.G. stares in his direction.

Rob Conway pinned Roughhouse O'Reilly with the Ego Trip in 12:20.
Rating: ***

O'Reilly was hoping to make up for his loss to CM Punk last week. However, Rob Conway had a little bit more to prove as he's still in the process of making a name for himself. These two put on a great opening match, that the crowd enjoyed. Conway was booed as he walked away from the ring, telling the crowd how "excellent" he is.

Interview:
After the match, Rebecca was in the back with Al Snow. When asked about the confrontation between he and Vince McMahon, Snow tells her that he's not afriad of what Vince McMahon can do... because he's been around this business for a very long time. He swore to Rebecca that he would do anything to make sure he became Number One Contender for the ECW World Title... which got a huge ovation from the Tucson crowd.

Also backstage, Tony Mamaluke is seen, standing alone in front of a camera. He says that, last week, he had to worry about making sure Little Guido didn't get the short end of the stick. However, he says that the unfinished business between he and Chris Masters never left his mind. Mamaluke says that he isn't hiding from Masters... and if he wants a match, Mamaluke doesn't care when or where it takes place.

Stevie Richards pinned Chris Masters after a superkick in 1:27.
Rating: * 1/2

Stevie Richards came out and shocked the crowd in Tucson, surprising the bigger, taller "Masterpiece" with a Superkick that knocked the ECW newcomer out cold for the three-count. The crowd was awaiting word from Masters about accepting Mamaluke's offer from earlier on... but the shocking defeat quieted the rather outspoken star.

Backstage:
Vince McMahon is shown, in his office - alongside Rex Butler - getting ready to watch the next matach on a television monitor.

Al Snow defeated Mike Knox (w/Kelly Kelly) by disqualification in 4:52.
Rating: * 1/2

Mike Knox's winning streak came to an end, which left the crowd wondering what had gotten into him. After the match stormed out of the ring and made his way to the back, followed by the scantily-clad Kelly Kelly. As Snow kneeled in the corner, trying to get his breath back, Matt Striker slid into the ring. The crowd filled the Convention Center with jeers as Striker attacked Snow from behind... hitting him with the Golden Rule before leaving the ring, smiling. The show went to commercials as Snow attended to by the referee.

Little Guido (w/Big Guido & Trinty) pinned Danny Doring after a dropkick in 12:24.

Guido was able to defeat Doring... with a dropkick of all moves! The crowd cheered the victory, but only for a moment as Vince McMahon appeared on-stage. He shocked the crowd by saying that... in the interest of fairness, he would be giving Al Snow his Number One Contenders match next week... in a steel cage match! McMahon stressed the point that... no matter who wins, the decision is final!

Good show.
The TNM Members ChampPosted on 04/22/07 at 07:20:31

Considering that you are now taking control of the booking, you'll actually get the finishes you want instead. Which is a good thing especially as you get near WrestleMania.
wicked_rexPosted on 04/22/07 at 07:32:15

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. But, I actually like the "surprises" that the program gives me if I don't book. So, I think I'm going back to unbooked.
The TNM Members ChampPosted on 04/22/07 at 07:55:11

I think the best resolution would be to book some matches and let the other matches be unbooked if you are undecided how to proceed.
wicked_rexPosted on 04/22/07 at 16:22:03

Yeah, that was another option I was thinking about. I might try that starting "next week" with RAW... to see how it goes.

ECW On Sci-Fi
March 13, 2007
Sovereign Bank Arena
Trenton, New Jersey

"Bodies" begins to play as the "ECW On Sci-Fi" comes on the air. Following the intro, highlights from last week's main event between Little Guido and Danny Doring are shown. After the highlights, Tazz and Joey Styles welcome everyone to Trenton for the evening's show.

In The Ring:
Danny Doring comes out to the ring, visibly angry over the events that took place last week. He grabs the microphone from the ring announcer and walks around the ring, staring into the crowd.

DD: "As I stand here tonight, I look into the eyes of every one of you ECW fans... and I can see the disappointment in your eyes! I can see the shock that you still have not gotten over from last week; the shock of watching me - Danny Doring - lose a match after taking a dropkick! Trust me, no matter how upset or disappointed you are, it doesn't even compare to the amount of self-hatred I have for myself right now! That is why I am out here, tonight. I am out here to prove to everyone that last week's loss was a fluke! Now, I know that Little Guido has other things planned for tonight (looks up at steel cage hovering over the ring)... so, instead, I am issuing a challenge to anyone in the ECW locker room to come out here and face me.. tonight!"

Doring drops the microphone and awaits for his opponent...

The Big Show pinned Danny Doring with the Showstopper in 10:31.
Rating: ** 1/4

It looks like Danny Doring got more then he bargained for as The Big Show made his ECW debut tonight, with an impressive victory. Doring's goal of coming back from his fluke last week was stopped in it's tracks.

Backstage:
Al Snow is seen talking to one of the stage hands as ECW General Manager, Vince McMahon approaches. Vince taps Snow on the back, causing him to turn around. Snow has a disgusted look on his face...

VM: "Hello, Al. I see that you've found yourself a distraction from what you know is coming to you."
AS: "What do I have coming to me, Vince? Do you have some scheme in store for tonight? Because if you do... all I have to ask is: Haven't you done enough, already? You've busted your ass week in and week out to make sure that I lost my chance at the ECW World Title. Tonight, you're putting me in a steel cage match so I can fight for what I already won at the Royal Rumble. Tell me, Vince... what's your brain telling you? What it is saying will happen when I become the ECW Champion at WrestleMania? I'll tell you what it's saying. It's telling you that come April 1st, the ECW is never going to be the same! And, that Vince, is something that you just can't understand."

Snow walks away from Vince, leaving the owner steaming mad as the show goes to commercials.

Backstage:
Coming back from commercials, The Big Show is with Rebecca, backstage.

RD: "Big Show, welcome to your debut in ECW. How did it feel to get your first victory, here tonight?"
BS: "Rebecca, you're right. I did make my debut here tonight, and I did come out victorious. However, I can guarantee that this is only the beginning of what I will accomplish here in ECW. I plan on making a huge name for myself... and I will do anything I have to, to make sure that happens. This week, it was Danny Doring. Next week... who knows?"

The Big Show walks away, leaving Rebecca standing, silently. The scene changes, showing the F.B.I locker room, where Little Guido is seen talking to Tony Mamluke and Big Guido.

LG: "Tonight is the night, boys! Tonight is the night that the your's truely becomes the number one contender for the ECW World Title. I know that I won the four-corners match a few weeks ago, but Al Snow was taken out of that match by McMahon and his hired henchmen. I stayed true to my word... and I was going to stick by Al until he got what he wanted. But, tonight, all that friendly support ends! Tonight, it's down to myself and Al... inside a steel cage. The winner - the one of us who is lucky enough to survive this match - will be leaving here tonight as the one and only number one contender. And, fellas, just like Al... I can't stand the way Matt Striker is making a mockery of ECW! I can't wait to get my hands on him, either! Tonight, we will see who the better man is."

Guido walks out of view as the camera goes back to ringside.

Chris Masters defeated Roughhouse O'Reilly by disqualification in 10:24.

Coming back from the commercial break, Chris Masters is seen holding the back of his head from the attack by Tony Mamaluke. Masters notices the camera...

CM: "Tony Mamaluke, you said you're not going to run and hide from me? You said that you're not going to go anywhere until you and I finish this thing in the ring? Well, tonight, you helped me make the a decision. So, next week, right there in that ring, I am challenging you to a Random Gimmick Match! I don't give a damn what Vince picks... all I know is that, next week, you will have no chance of escaping the Masterlock!"

Masters walks away, holding the back of his head.

The Trenton crowd was in shock as Test made his return after being suspended for his actions backstage. He came back with a vengeance, starting where he left off - by hitting Sabu in the back with a chair! After the match, with Neikirk and Sabu on the floor, Test repeatedly hit Sabu with the steel chair, bending it! Satisfied with his attack, Test left the scene as Neikirk looked on, impressed.

Backstage:
Al Snow is seen walking towards the stage area, where he is stopped by Rebecca.

RD: "Al Snow, we're just moments away from your Steel Cage #1-Contenders Match. How do you feel going in?"
AS: "Rebecca, tonight is going to be one of the biggest challenges I've had to face since ECW returned to television. However, I thought I had already done what was necessary to get my shot at the ECW World Title. But, just like everyone else on this roster, I have to play by Vince McMahon's rules. Well, I've worked for Vince for a very long time... so, I wouldn't be surprised if something didn't happen. But, I can't worry about that, because tonight, I'm going to finally - once and for all - become the Number One Contender."

Snow walks away, continuing to the ring. In another area backstage, Mike Knox is shown, with Kelly Kelly - who is wearing a very short pair of shorts and bra.

MK: "You know something, Kelly? Last week was a complete shame for me. I know that Al Snow had a lot to prove, but I was on a three-match winning streak! I'm ashamed at the fact that I wasn't able to give Snow a better fight. I would give anything to have another chance at Snow..."
KK: "Why not just challenge him?"
MK: "I would, but he's in tonight's main event. However... (looks into the camera) Snow, if and when you hear this, I am challenging you to a rematch, next week in Grand Rapids!"

ECW goes to commercials as Knox stares into the camera...

ECW on Sci-Fi
March 20, 2007
Quicken Loans Arena
Cleveland, Ohio

(ECW begins, with a recap of last week's show which ends with highlights from the Steel Cage, Number One Contenders match between Al Snow and Little Guido. At the very end of the clip, Al Snow is heard accepting Mike Knox's offer for a match next week...)

"Bodies" begins to play, accompanied by the intro video for "ECW On Sci Fi". As the clip ends, the camera opens up inside the Quicken Loans Arena. In the center of the arena is the ECW ring, lit only by the ring lights, blackening out most of the arena and the audience. Joey Styles and Tazz sit at ringside, ready to begin the program...

In The Ring:
ECW World Champion, Matt Striker appears from behind the curtain. He is dressed in a white sweater and khakis. The ECW World Title is draped over his shoulder. The crowd boos Striker as he slowly makes his way into the ring and grabs a microphone from the ring announcer. The crowd begins to boo as Striker walks around the ring.

MS: "You know something... for a number of weeks now, I've been sitting in the back, basking in the glory of watching Al Snow and Little Guido battle it out, all in the name of respect. They have both wanted a shot at me for so long, and all I've had to do was sit back and watch them wear each other out. (Crowd boos) It's all in the powers of a champion. I have the right to say when and where I wrestle. It also helps to be the WWE Chairman's right-hand man... (Crowd begins to heckle Striker) But, I have decided that I am not going to sit back and watch any longer. It's been almost a month since I stepped into this ring... so, what better place then Cleveland, Ohio, to show Al Snow what he has in store for him next Sunday night at WrestleMania? Snow, you better make sure you pay close attention to what you see out here tonight. Because, you're going to need all the help you can get come April 1st."

Striker drops the microphone on the canvas as the crowd begins to boo, once again. Striker exits the ring and makes his way up the aisle as the show goes to commercials.

Interview:
RD: "I am here, tonight, with Tony Mamaluke. (Mamaluke walks into view) Tony, last week, you attacked "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters, telling the world that you weren't running anywhere from him. After your attack, Masters challenged you to a Random Gimmick Match later tonight. What are your thoughts...."

TM: "Listen, up toots! I know what I said to Chris Masters, and I'm aware that he doesn't want to wait to get back into the ring with me. (Into the camera) So, Chris Masters, you want to take another step forward, and make this a Random Gimmick Match? Well, that's just fine with me, because it doesn't really matter what kind of match we're in... I've beaten you before! Tonight, it's going to be no different! Tonight, I'm going to prove to all of ECW that "The Masterpiece" is nothing but crap!"

(...Mamaluke walks away from the scene, leaving Rebecca alone for a second...)

(... In another area of the area, Test is shown. The crowd boos him as he looks into the camera and begins to speak...)

Test: "I'm sure a lot of you thought you'd never see me again. I bet you all laughed the day that I was suspended for my actions backstage. Well, I could hear it last week... I had stopped all the laughing! Sabu, this thing between us... it's far from being finished. What you need to realize, Sabu, is that it's not over until I say it's over!"

[Trinity interfered against Chris Masters.]

"The Masterpiece" wanted this match, in the hopes of teaching Mamaluke a lesson. However, Trinity and Big Guido had other ideas, as Masters was never able to send his message to the F.B.I member.

After the match, with Masters' attention turned to Trinity, Tony Mamaluke executes a reverse DDT into the center of the ring, causing a mixed reaction from the crowd. He then pulls a sheet of glass from the corner of the ring, and sets it up near Masters. Mamaluke picks up Masters and sends him crashing through the glass with a suplex; glass shatters all over the ring, and the sound of Chris Masters screaming in pain, fills the arena. Mamaluke exits the ring and celebrates with Big Guido and Trinity on their way backstage. Inside the ring, officials and EMTs assist with getting Masters - who's back is bleeding from the many little gashes made by the glass - to the back for medical attention.

Backstage:
Sitting in his office, ECW General Manager Vince McMahon is shown in a grey business suit. He has a smile on his face, and begins to speak as the Cleveland crowd boos...

VM: "Ladies and gentlemen of Cleveland, Ohio... tonight, you all witnessed the powerful destruction of ECW's newest member: The Big Show. However, what you didn't realize was, that tonight, you also witnessed the second match in the "Golden Opportunity" qualifying. (Vince laughs) You see, tonight, The Big Show earned his spot at WrestleMania, by defeated Little Guido. I guess you could say that I'm still doing everything I can to make sure Matt Striker continues to be ECW World Champion!

Vince laughs, once again, as the scene fades back to the ring. The crowd is still in shock from the announcement that was just made.

Mike Knox came out, hoping to avenge his loss to the #1 Contender two weeks ago. He had plenty of help from the lovely Kelly Kelly - escaping from two separate Snow Plows! However, the veteran wasn't stopped, and was able to hit a third Snow Plow to pick up the victory.

After the match, Kelly Kelly entered the ring to tend to Knox as Al Snow left the ring. While walking with his back turned towards the curtains, Snow is blindsided by ECW World Champion, Matt Striker! Striker throws Snow into the barricade and follows it up with a parade of punches to the head. The crowd boos loudly as Striker gets back to his feet, screaming something at Snow, as he leaves the scene.

(Crowd boos) Al Snow has learned from Day One that I'm not the person he wants to come after for this title... and I gave him a pop quiz on that earlier tonight. ECW on Sci-Fi
March 27, 2007
Van Andel Arena
Grand Rapids, Michigan

Vince McMahon starts the program, in the center of the ring, with an announcement about tonight's show. He says that, due to an internal issue on RAW last night, the fourth qualifying match for the "Golden Opportunity" battle royal was unable to take place. Vince says that he wants to make sure something like that never happens again... or someone is going to lose their job! Vince announces that there will be two qualifying matches tonight in Grand Rapids: the pre-scheduled from RAW last night which will put Johnny Nitro against Balls Mahoney and Chris Benoit. Also, there will be the originally scheduled match for tonight: Tony Mamaluke against John "Bradshaw" Layfield and Viscera. Vince says that the first qualifying now, before leaving the ring and sitting at the broadcast table.

(1) Johnny Nitro (w/Melina) vs. Balls Mahoney (w/Francine) vs. Chris Benoit

The extra day of rest seemed to give these three the energy they were looking for... with a shot at going to WrestleMania on the line, they would need whatever they could get. From the on-set, it was every man for themselves. However, Johnny Nitro saved Balls Mahoney from the Figure-Four Leglock - a sure sign that he wasn't doing to help Balls, but to keep himself from losing the match. Balls got lucky, once again, as Francine pulled down the top rope tossing Chris Benoit to the outside, in front of the referee's face... but no DQ was called. Later, as the match spilled out to the floor, again - this time with Benoit with the advantage, "The Crippler" tried to bring back his former ECW days as he attempted a flying headbutt to the outside! Unfortunately, the moved missed, and this took Benoit out for the rest of the match. It also gave Francine a chance to sneak in a steel chair, which Balls used against Johnny Nitro for the pin!

"Golden Opportunity" Qualifying Match:
Balls Mahoney defeated Johnny Nitro and Chris Benoit when B. Mahoney pinned Nitro after hitting him with a steel chair in 18:19.

[Francine interfered against Chris Benoit.]

Backstage, Al Snow says that last week, both he and Matt Striker won their respective matches. But, he says, the difference between the two of them is that Striker has to gloat about his victories... and everyone who's a die-hard ECW fan truly knows what makes an ECW World Champion. Al says that Striker can call him a failure, because he doesn't care... he's heard it all before, and was able to overcome it then. Snow says that Sunday, at WrestleMania, he's going to show Striker what it means to be "extreme".

[hr]

Coming back from the break, Joey Styles informs the at-home audience that Chris Masters stayed overnight at a hospital in Cleveland last week, getting attended. Styles says that Masters       should be returning to the ring in two to three weeks, and if any more information is given, he will inform the fans.

(2) Sabu vs. Derek Neikirk

Derek Neikirk was scheduled to be Sabu's opponent tonight but, instead Sabu was put face-to-face with his attacker from last week: Test. These two went at each other throughout this quick match and the crowd loved every minute of it! However, the match was cut short as Sabu was attacked by a masked person, who quickly left the ring afterwards. Shocked by his attacker, Sabu was blindsided by a big boot from Test!

Sabu defeated Test by disqualification in 5:29.

Backstage, once again, Balls Mahoney tells Rebecca that WrestleMania is going to get a big dose of Balls this Sunday night... much to the crowd's enjoyment. The Big Show interrupts the interview and tells Mahoney that the only person walking out of Detroit with a guaranteed title match is going to be him... and anyone of the five who want the contract, they have to go through The Big Show.

(3) Tony Mamaluke (w/Big Guido & Trinity) vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. Viscera

JBL and "The World's Largest Love Machine" shared the advantage of their smaller opponent for most of the match, with Tony Mamaluke getting a near fall there and again. But, at the end, all it took was a miscue between JBL and Viscera to give Mamaluke the victory and a spot at WrestleMania!

Joey Styles and Tazz welcome us to Fort Wayne and begin the show by announcing that newly acquired Diva, Beth Phoenix, turned in resignation last night... before making her first appearance on ECW. Then, ECW World Champion, Matt Striker and Vince McMahon make their way to the ring. Vince tells the crowd that all three brands have had a fairly successful weekend, with WrestleMania being better then he had hoped, and with the amount of new faces that signed contracts with different brands. Vince tells the crowd that he spent a little bit of time last night, looking over the roster; trying to find the one person who he thinks should be Number One Contender now that Little Guido and Al Snow are no longer associated with ECW. Therefore, Vince announces that Sabu is the rightful owner of a chance to face Matt Striker at Backlash... but there's a stipulation: Tonight, Sabu must defeat Balls Mahoney!

[hr]

(1) Val Venis vs. Shelton Benjamin (w/Momma Benjamin)

Val Venis started off the match, by attacking Shelton before the bell! After taking a small advantage, Venis swiveled his hips for the crowd but, that gave Benjamin enough time to kick-up and hit a hip toss followed by a "Stinger" Splash. He tried to hit a quick T-Bone Suplex by Venis blocked it. Benjamin sent Venis into the ropes, where Momma Benjamin was caught tripping "her boy's" opponent. Referee Jimmy Korderas gave her a warning, but no DQ. With the referee's back turned, Benjamin went for a high knee that was missed, giving Venis an opening to lock on a bow-and-arrow submission... for 11 seconds! Later in the match, Benjamin blocked a clothesline into the corner and hit a Northern Lights Suplex for another 2-count. Benjamin was clearly annoyed by this point, and he hit the T-Bone again, but still only got a 2-count! With the advantage still on his side, Benjamin hit a stomp, a Russian legsweep, a Germen Suplex and a flying clothesline... but STILL only got a 2-count. While Benjamin was arguing with the referee, Venis made a slow recovery, resulting in the two men sharing chops back and forth. Venis' comeback ends as Benjamin kicks him and quickly hits his third Northern Lights Suplex for the win.

Shelton Benjamin pinned Val Venis after a Northern Lights suplex in 6:12.

Backstage, Balls Mahoney says that Vince McMahon is trying to pull ECW apart, limb from limb. He says that, by forcing him to face Sabu tonight in a Number One Contenders match, Vince is hoping to see the ECW veterans turn on one another. Balls promises that nothing like that is going to happen... and that tonight, when the match is all set and done, Matt Striker's reign as ECW World Champion will be one day closer to ending.

[hr]

In his office, after the break, Vince McMahon reiterates to Matt Striker that his chances have losing the ECW World Title are very small, especially since Al Snow and Little Guido are off the roster; something that Vince says he promised would happen. Striker tells McMahon that he hopes Vince's statement is a promise, too... because Striker will not be showing his face on television if he loses the title.

(2) Balls Mahoney (w/Francine) vs. Sabu (#1 Contenders Match; ECW World Title)

Sabu was set to face off with fellow ECW Original, Balls Mahoney, when the announcement was made that Balls would not be competing tonight. The crowd was in shock as Joey Styles and Tazz hinted that Vince McMahon was behind it. Chavo Guerrero, one of many surprise signings to the ECW brand, answered the call. Chavo and Sabu battled throughout this match, giving it everything they had until Sabu brought a chair into the ring and hit a rana for the win! After the match, ECW World Champion, Matt Striker rushed the ring from the crowd and attacked Sabu from behind, getting a lot of jeers from the crowd(!). Striker told Sabu that he has no chance of out-smarting the champ at Backlash, before being escorted out of the ring by security.

(3) Michelle McCool vs. Ariel

The only two Diva's on the ECW roster, now that Beth Phoenix has quit, showed off their stuff inside the ring... but only one showed true experience inside the ring. Ariel dominated this match, even taking the beating to the outside, slamming Michelle into the steel ring steps! The end of the match saw Ariel connect with a Tornado DDT, forcing Michelle to land awkwardly on her head, bending her neck in an uncomfortable position. The EMTs carried McCool away as Ariel was announced the winner.

Ariel pinned Michelle McCool with the Tornado DDT in 11:28. Michelle McCool suffered a neck injury; she will be out for approximately 4 cards (1 Month).

Backstage, Vince McMahon and Matt Striker are seen talking to Chavo Guerrero about the attack on Balls Mahoney just a few moments ago. Joey Styles says that he knew Vince had something to do with the attack, and wonders what Balls Mahoney will have to say in retaliation, next week.

(4) Stevie Richards vs. © Matt Striker (non-title match)

In the final match of the evening, Stevie Richards faced off with ECW Champion, Matt Striker for the second time. And, for the second time, they put on a great main event for the ECW crowd. Throughout the beginning, the match was fairly even. Richards finally took advantage but wasn't able to capitalize on anything. Not being able to dominate his opponent, Striker became infuriated, and through Richards to the outside, where the tide quickly changed. Soon after bringing Richards back into the ring, Striker connected with the Golden Rule for the win.

Not sure I picture Benjamin ECW but will wait to see how he does before I comment more. Striker seems to not be fazed that he has to face Sabu for  the title because he's to worked uped abut Al Snow and Tony Mamaluke. He needs to worry about Sabu and less on those two.

Another solid card.

Vince McMahon comes out to the ring, and says that he is upset about what took place last week. He says that, unfortunately, Sabu did win his match last week against Chavo Guerrero. However, Vince says that Chavo was not his scheduled opponent. Balls Mahoney was the scheduled opponent, but because of some unknown reason, was unable to perform. Therefore, Vince says that Sabu will be in action, once again, against an opponent of his choosing. Vince says that the opponent will be revealed at the start of the match.

(1) Tommy Dreamer vs. Chavo Guerrero (w/Vickie Guerrero) (Extreme Rules Match)

During the commercial break, the crowd in attendance was told that Vince McMahon had switched his opinion of ECW, changing the matches back to "Extreme Rules" unless otherwise notified. The first match under these new "conditions" involved Chavo Guerrero and ECW Original, Tommy Dreamer. The crowd was behind Dreamer all along, knowing that this type of match is his specialty. The crowd was given another shock as Balls Mahoney made his way to the ring, getting payback for Chavo's attack, last week. The weapons were out in full force ranging from a microphone to a stop sign! However, the match came to an end after Vickie Guerrero entered the ring and hit Dreamer with a steel chair! Chavo took this chance to make a fool out of another ECW Original, by sending him to the outside of the ring and throwing Dreamer against the ring steps... busting him open! After an inverted atomic drop, Dreamer slumped to the ground and Chavo picked up the victory.

Coming back from the break, a very angry Balls Mahoney confronts Vince McMahon. Vince says that if Mahoney touches him, he will be fired on the spot! Mahoney holds back on his attack and demands a match against Chavo Guerrero at Backlash. Vince McMahon says it's agreed... but until then, Mahoney is not allowed anywhere near Chavo. Vince says, if Mahoney's upset now, just wait and see how it's going to be come Backlash. Vince laughs and walks away.

(2) Sabu vs. Shelton Benjamin (w/Momma Benjamin) (Extreme Rules Match)

Shelton Benjamin found himself facing off against one of the ECW Originals tonight, as he stepped into the ring with Sabu. Sabu came into this match, looking to add another victory to his belt as he makes his way up the ladder, leading to his ECW World Title match at Backlash. The match was everything that ECW should be: weapons and fighting throughout the arena. Momma Benjamin even got involved on multiple occasions, getting Sabu's attention so that her son could take the advantage. However, she interfered one too many times, and Sabu made her pay for it! In the end, the Number One Contender continued his winning ways with the Triple Jump Moonsault for the victory.

Vince McMahon is asked by Rebecca DiPierto about his thought of Balls Mahoney facing Chavo Guerrero at Backlash. Vince says that he's going to take his time and think about whether or not he's ready to give Balls Mahoney the exposure Backlash would give him. However, Vince did say that if he signed the match for the pay-per-view, he would make sure it was very special.

(3) © Matt Striker vs. Ric Flair (non-title match)

The man some would call the greatest champion of all time made his debut in ECW tonight, taking on the current ECW World Champion, Matt Striker. Flair and Striker put on a great match for the Providence crowd, even with the "Extreme Rules" taken out. Flair looked to have the advantage early on with his knowledge of the ring, but Striker proved once again why he has been ECW World Champion since Day One. The end of the match saw Striker connect with the Golden Rule for the one-two-three.

Sabu should have hit the triple jump moonsult on Mama Benjamin :)

Flair a little outmatched by Striker maybe it's timme for Flair to call it a day...

Think Chavo could be great in ECWl but don't see him as World champ yet but maybe depending on how your ECW goes you could bring back the ECW TV Title. Chavo could rule for a while.

ECW General Manager, Vince McMahon came out to the ring and voiced his displeasure over the fact that Shelton Benjamin was unable to defeat Sabu last week. Vince said, however, that Benjamin is not going to be a victim of his ire. Vince said that, since Sabu is the next original ECW member to get in line for a World Title shot at Matt Striker, Vince has every intention on making Sabu's life a "living hell". Vince announced that tonight's main event would be a tag team match between Balls Mahoney and Sabu taking on Chavo Guerrero and Matt Striker.

(1) The World's Greatest Tag Team vs. Spirit Squad (Kenny & Nicky) (Extreme Rules Match)

"Golden Opportunity" winner and former RAW Superstar, Charlie Haas, made his ECW debut tonight, teaming with Shelton Benjamin to reform the World's Greatest Tag Team. They took on two members of the Spirit Squad, Kenny and Nicky. In a surprise turn of events, the match was made into an Extreme Rules Match to showcase the high-fliers skills. However, this match was spent on the outside of the ring, where the ring and its surroundings were put in play. The match ended slightly after the 20-minute time limit as Nicky hit the Superkick on Haas for the win. After the match, Benjamin sat on his knees in the center of the ring, with his head in his hands as the Squad celebrated their victory.

Backstage, Rebecca DiPeirto tried to get an interview with Charlie Haas, but was stopped by Shelton Benjamin who told her that Haas was really ticked off and didn't want to talk to anybody tonight. Benjamin said that he and Haas had some things to discuss concerning what happened earlier tonight.

Standing alone, in front of a camera, Vince McMahon told the Milan crowd that he had two announcements. The first announcement was that he has, indeed, signed a match for Backlash between Balls Mahoney and Chavo Guerrero. The second announcement, Vince said, will be revealed tonight, at the end of the program... and that it will have to do with a stipulation for the new match.

Balls Mahoney was asked his thoughts on the match that Vince McMahon had just announced he signed for Backlash. Mahoney said that he thinks it's great that Vince is handing Chavo to him in a match with a stipulation. Mahoney said that it doesn't matter what the stipulation is... he will have the upper hand against Chavo next Sunday night. Before Mahoney could continue speaking, he was attacked by Guerrero and ECW Champion, Matt Striker. The two assaulted Mahoney with kicks to the midsection and punches to the back of the head for a few minutes before Sabu rushed in, forcing the attackers to run off in fear. Sabu stayed with Mahoney until officials and medics arrived.

(3) Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Val Venis (Extreme Rules Match)

Jimmy Wang Yang made his surprising debut tonight, facing Val Venis. These two seem very out of place in ECW... but, they signed their names on the dotted line. Much to the fans' surprise, they put on a respectable match that Yang won for his first victory in ECW.

(4) Balls Mahoney & Sabu (w/Francine) vs. Chavo Guerrero & © Matt Striker (w/Vickie Guerrero)

The four men who will be heading to Atlanta for ECW were in tonight's main event... in what could easily be called the greatest match ECW has given it's crowd since it's re-start earlier this year. Matt Striker proved that he belongs in the "world of extreme" as he was in this match for most of it, taking on two of the ECW's most beloved superstars. Chairs were used a lot in this match... which was a surprise, since this match was not "Extreme Rules". Striker took countless chairshots to the head, and even a DDT from Balls Mahoney! However, somehow, he was able to kick out every time! The same could be said for Chavo Guerrero, who was accidentally hit with a chair by aunt Vickie... and then kicked out of the Triple Jump Moonsault from Sabu! Mahoney and Sabu had their breaks, too, mostly in the form of Francine, who used her attractive looks to lure referee Chad Patton from counting the three. However, in the end, as Francine was caught not looking, Chavo hit the frog splash for the victory

Vince said that, after watching what the four men could do inside the ring, he would name both stipulations. In the first match, Mahoney and Guerrero would face each other in a Table Death Match. ECW on Sci-Fi
April 24, 2007
Earl's Court
London, England

The program starts off as ECW World Champion, Matt Striker comes to the ring dressed in a mutli-colored sweater and khaki pants. The ECW World Title is draped over his shoulder as he makes his way down the ramp. The English crowd, getting their first taste of the new Extreme Championship Wrestling, gives Striker a tremendous ovation filled with boos. Striker smirks, shrugging off the negativity and enters the ring where he is handed a microphone. Striker says that last week, Vince McMahon decided to make things interesting, by signing him to face Sabu in a "Chairshot Survival Death Match" this Sunday at Backlash. Striker says that he knows the reason why McMahon signed the match, and it's because he saw what kind of punishment Striker took last week. Striker says that because of his vast intelligence, he knew what Sabu and Balls Mahoney were all about. He knew they would resort to their hardcore past and bring weapons into the match... therefore, he was ready and had already pieced together a way to not let the weapons effect him. Striker says that Vince knew about this plan all along, and therefore asked that the match not be called due to disqualification. He then says that this Sunday night, the result will be the same, as Striker will walk out of Atlanta as the ECW World Champion.

Chavo Guerrero walks out, in a pair of blue jeans and a black ECW t-shirt, to a similar response from the London crowd. He joins Striker in the ring and takes a microphone for himself. Chavo says that, much like Striker's gimmick match this Sunday, he too will be in a gimmick match. Guerrero says that the Table Death Match that has been signed between him and Balls Mahoney is not a worry for him. Guerrero says he has no fear of tables, and that he has the clear advantage because it's obvious that Balls Mahoney isn't up to par with the way he acted in his prime. This brings out Balls Mahoney and Sabu, who rush into the ring with the crowd cheering them all the way. As Sabu and Mahoney slide into the ring, Striker and Guerrero slide out, forcing the crowd to boo them. Guerrero smiles at Mahoney as Striker stares at Sabu, pointing to his head. Striker and Guerrero walk back up the ramp as Mahoney and Sabu scream at them to get back into the ring.

However, with the crowd behind him Harry Smith found the strength to hit the Stampede Powerslam for the win.

In the locker room backstage, Charlie Haas is seen in a pair of running pants and a BACKLASH T-shirt. The room is empty and silent except for the faint hum on noise coming from the hallway outside. Haas leans back against the wall, closing his eyes as the noise inside the room gets louder. From off-screen, Shelton Benjamin comes in the same type of attire. He stands in front of Haas and says that he's sorry for not coming to Haas' aide last week during their tag team match. Haas opens his eyes and stares at Benjamin before getting up and walking off-screen. The noise re-enters the locker room as Haas walks out into the hallway. Benjamin turns and looks towards the door, shaking his head in shame.

Vince McMahon is shown in a light gray suit coat over a black shirt and black suit pants. He walks up to Rebecca who is seen in a red dress that shimmers under the lighting backstage. The crowd cheers as she appears on-screen. Vince says that he's glad he caught Rebecca and starts to eye her from top to bottom. Rebecca smiles and giggles, holding the microphone up to Vince, as he looks around. Vince says that he sat in his office and watched what transpired earlier in the show between his four wrestlers that will be going to Atlanta this Sunday night. Vince tells Rebecca that all four men will settle their differences at BACKLASH but, tonight, they will still be in action. Vince announces that Sabu will take on Chavo Guerrero and Balls Mahoney will face Matt Striker in a non-title match in the main event. Vince walks off-screen as Rebecca is left standing in the middle of the picture.

(2) Ariel vs. Michelle McCool

Michelle McCool returned to action this week after injuring her arm in her first match in ECW. Ironically, she one again faced off against the woman who injured her - Ariel. McCool came out quickly this time around, shocking Ariel and the London crowd. Ariel was taken aback so much, that she resorted to choking McCool, causing the disqualification. After the referee rang the bell, Ariel still had the chokehold locked on. The referee forced Ariel off of Michelle and got her out of the ring as McCool sat in the corner, gasping for air.

Michelle McCool defeated Ariel by disqualification in 3:23.

In a secluded section of the hallway, backstage, Chavo Guerrero and Matt Striker are seen speaking. They are both in their ring attire, and Striker has the ECW World Title draped over his shoulder. He tells Chavo that tonight they have the opportunity to help each other out before BACKLASH. Striker says that if Chavo can do a number on Sabu, then Striker will have a better chance of retaining the title. He says that he'll do what he can to get the better of Balls Mahoney before his Table Death Match with Guerrero this Sunday. The two shake hands, generating boos from the crowd, before walking away in separate directions.

In the rear of the arena, Charlie Haas is seen walking towards the exit leading into the parking lot. He has a disappointed look on his face as he is stopped by Rebecca. She asks Haas about signing with ECW and taking time off after WrestleMania. Haas, who is visibly upset, sighs and takes a deep breath before answering. He tells Rebecca that he signed with ECW for the chance to do something new, and that he felt held back while he was on RAW. As for taking time off after WrestleMania, Haas says that he did it to take a closer look on at his options before making a decision to return to the ring. Haas says that he put his body on the line at WrestleMania and in the process won the right to a title match of his choosing at any time until September 1st. Haas says that WrestleMania was where he decided he was going to change his career, but he's just waiting for the right moment to cash everything in.

As Haas walks away from Rebecca, he is confronted by Nicky, who is dressed in his green and white Spirit Squad attire. Nicky says that Haas' hopes of changing his career are going to be put on hold, just like they were last week when he pinned Haas during the tag team match. Nicky says that even with Shelton Benjamin on his side, Haas wasn't able to beat him. Nicky says that he doesn't think Haas would be able to beat him one on one, either, and challenges Haas to a match next week. Nicky laughs loudly in Haas' face before turning and walking off-screen. Haas' eyes narrow as he looks into the direction that Nicky left.

Vince McMahon is seen walking down the hallway, heading towards the locker room of ECW World Champion, Matt Striker when he is confronted by Val Venis. Venis is in his dress attire, as he has the night off this evening. Val tells Vince that he wants to make a better name for himself in ECW... and since he hasn't won a match since moving over, he feels that he hasn't been given the chance to do that. Vince tells Val that there's nothing he can do for him this week, as the pay-per-view has been set since last week. Vince says that he has, in fact, given Val four chances to prove his worth. He says that Val just hasn't taken those chances and made anything out of them. However, Vince says that he's feeling pretty good tonight, and tells Val that next week he will take on the loser of the ECW World Title match. Vince walks away leaving Val with a small smile on his face.

(3) Chavo Guerrero vs. Sabu

Chavo Guerrero was given an idea earlier in the evening by Matt Striker. One that would ultimately help Striker retain the ECW World Title Sunday at Backlash. However, the number one contender had other ideas. Sabu showed the crowd on London why he is challenging for the title his Sunday night... even taking out Vickie Guerrero who decided to interfere in favor of his nephew. Sabu picked up the victory after a Springboard DDT, giving him a good leg's up heading into his title match at Backlash.

McMahon tells Striker that, to-date, he is the longest reigning champion on either brand. This makes Striker smile and the crowd boo. Vince says that he saw Sabu's win over Chavo but tells Striker not to be too concerned with the outcome. Striker says he's not worried, because he's the smartest man in ECW and will be the champion for a long time to come. McMahon smiles and nods, but says nothing. Then, his smile fades and his eyes narrow as McMahon tells Striker that, if he doesn't retain the title this Sunday at Backlash, all the assistance Vince has given him will be gone with a snap of a finger. Vince walks away leaving Striker stunned.

Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center - Birmingham, AL

The show begins with a short recap of the two ECW matches from Sunday night's Backlash event. ECW World Champion, Matt Striker makes his way down to the ring, showing slight bruising on his face from the Chairshot Survival Match against Sabu. Striker says that he put his life and career on the line, Sunday night, and once against walked out of the ring as the ECW World Champion. He claims that no one on the ECW roster can beat him and take this title away from him. Striker gives credit to Sabu for beating him by submission - which brings on a chant of "You tapped out!" by the crowd - but says that he didn't have what it took to pin Striker's shoulders to the canvas. This brings out ECW general manager, Vince McMahon, who tells Striker that he may have kept the title at Backlash, but he didn't win the match. McMahon tells Striker that he has one more chance to prove that he's worth Vince's time and effort. Vince tells Striker that tonight, he will be defending the ECW World Title in an Extreme Rules match against Sabu.

Backstage, Rebecca interviews Chavo Guerrero. She asks how it felt to defeat an ECW original in a match that was made to fit the "extreme" style of ECW. Chavo says that he knew the odds were going to be stacked against him at Backlash... but that it is obvious he came out on top in the Tables Match against Balls Mahoney. He says that it didn't matter what kind of match he was put into Sunday night. Chavo calls Balls Mahoney overweight and past his prime, and says that Mahoney had no chance of beating him Sunday night. Rebecca then mentions the fact that Chavo is favoring his left side. Chavo says that, for almost an hour, he tried whatever he could to put Balls Mahoney through a table with countless elbow drops. He says that he was checked out by the trainer after the show and was told he has bruised rips and will be out of action for two weeks. As he and Vickie Guerrero walk away from Rebecca, they are confronted by Stevie Richards. Stevie smiles and looks over Guerrero before saying that he's an ECW original, as well. He asks Chavo if he thinks Stevie is past his prime. Chavo narrows his brow and walks away from Richards as he begins to chuckle under his breath.

(2) Nicky vs. Jim Duggan

The arena was quite silent for this match as most of the fans went to concessions. Those who left missed an odd occurrence on the part of "Hacksaw"... as he resorted to hitting Nicky with the 2x4 he brought to the ring with him. The shot to the skull made Nicky more vulnerable to Old Glory, as Duggan was able to pick up the victory.

Jim Duggan pinned Nicky with the Old Glory in 15:11.

A recap of both the ECW World Title Match and the Tables Death Match are shown. Following that, Rebecca is once again backstage... this time with Balls Mahoney. He tells Rebecca that he heard for Chavo Guerrero had to say a little bit ago, and that it doesn't matter what Guerrero said. Mahoney admits to being overweight, and says he's been that way for quite some time. He disagrees with the notion that he's "past his prime" and says that he can take on anyone in any match, anywhere. All he needs is an opponent. Ken Kennedy walks up to Mahoney and says that he overheard him saying he needed a match. Kennedy says that he's been sitting in the back for a couple weeks, itching to get his first taste of ECW. Kennedy challenges Mahoney to a Falls-Count-Anywhere match next week.

Haas says that he has in his possession, something that could change the face of ECW for any time to come.

(4) Sabu vs. © Matt Striker (ECW World Title Match)

Once again, Sabu and Matt Striker put on a wonderful match that grabbed the crowd's attention throughout! After the match, as Sabu was celebrating with fellow "originals", Balls Mahoney and Stevie Richards... Vince McMahon came out to the ring with a look of sheer disappointment on his face. Striker slowly gets to his feet and is stunned to see Vince standing at ringside. Striker lowers his head in shame as Vince tells him that he had given Striker every opportunity to retain the ECW World Title. But, for the past few weeks, Vince had noticed that Striker no longer acted like championship material... so he decided to give Striker one more chance. Vince said that if Matt Striker didn't want to be ECW Champion, then he didn't want Vince's help. Therefore, Vince says that, effective immediately, he will give up control over ECW... and will name his predecessor next week.

ECW on Sci Fi
05/08/07
Mellon Arena - Pittsburgh, PA

"Famous" by Puddle of Mudd plays as the ECW introduction shows on-screen. Following the introduction a video is shown of the ECW World Title Match from last week. Once the video ends, Joey Styles and Tazz welcome the crowd to Pittsburgh and announce that Super Crazy will be making his ECW debut tonight, taking on 16-Time World Champion, Ric Flair. {2:30}

Matt Striker interrupts the commentary, coming out to the ring with a microphone. He looks battered from his match with Sabu last week, and the crowd reminds him that he lost the ECW World Title match last week. Angry and annoyed, Striker says he believes it was planned that he would lose the title to Sabu last week. He claims that Vince McMahon was never really behind him as champion; that it was obvious by the fact that McMahon would find a way to have him lose the belt. Striker says that McMahon ultimately won and now ECW is without the greatest champion it's ever seen.

Striker is interrupted by Charlie Haas who comes out to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He tells Striker that he's the only person to blame for losing the ECW title last week. Haas says that it shouldn't matter whether or not Vince was behind Striker as champion; that a lot of people weren't behind him during his time with the belt... but that it didn't stop him from consistently walking out of the ring with the belt around his waist. Haas says that Striker just didn't have what it took to beat Sabu in his jungle - an Extreme Rules Match. Haas says that, had he wanted to take the opportunity, he would've beaten Striker for the title, himself. Striker tells Haas he should've signed a contract earlier then he did after WrestleMania, or the belt might be around his belt, tonight.

The two men are interrupted by the sound of Shane McMahon's music, much to the shock of the Pittsburgh crowd. McMahon appears outside the entrance in a suit, with a microphone in hand. McMahon tells the crowd that he was two announcements to make, starting with one that will impact ECW as soon as tonight. He says that tonight, in the main event, Charlie Haas will take on Matt Striker in a standard rules match. Infuriated by the announcement, Striker asks Shane what makes him think that he can show up and make matches off the bat. McMahon smiles and says that, as of this morning, he is the new owner and general manager of the ECW brand. This causes the Pittsburgh crowd to go crazy and Striker's jaw drops in shock. Shane says that he will say no more about it, and that the match is still on, before walking away. Haas smiles at Striker before he leaves, as well. {12:30}

MATCH ONE:
Super Crazy vs. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair

Super Crazy made his in-ring debut tonight, and in impressive style, snuck a victory away from "The Nature Boy", reversing a bodyslam into a roll up for the victory. The crowd seemed to have enjoyed this match, seeing the two different wrestling styles between the two men.

Super Crazy pinned Ric Flair after a small package in 15:23.
Rating: ***

After the match, Flair gets up and offers to shake Super Crazy's hand. The two shake hands and Flair pats him on the back before leaving the ring. {0:10}

In the back, Rebecca DiPietro interviews new general manager Shane McMahon. McMahon says that he has some plans for the ECW brand. He says that ECW will be driven in a new direction now that his father is no longer in the driver's seat. Shane says that his plans will begin to take effect next week and will better the brand as a whole.

Before Shane walks away Ken Kennedy appears on-screen and introduces himself. He tells Shane that he has some plans of his own here in ECW. Turning towards the camera, Kennedy says that when he signed with the WWE, he was forced to sit on the sidelines on Smackdown and watch other people get the chances he knew he deserved. He said he couldn't stand not getting the attention he deserved, so he decided to sign with ECW. Kennedy says that ECW had always been in the back of his mind, as a place to make a name for himself. He says that's exactly what he's going to do tonight, when he takes on Balls Mahoney in an Extreme Rules match.

Match Two:
Chavo Guerrero (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. "Bulldog" Harry Smith

Chavo Guerrero and Harry Smith put on one helluva match, here tonight, going just less then 30 minutes! Smith found himself with the chance to win the match very often throughout the match, but for one reason of another, he couldn't put Chavo away. Vickie Guerrero also played a part in keeping Chavo from losing, putting herself in the match on various occasions. The end came - with both men exhausted - after Chavo hit a shoulder block and Smith couldn't muster the energy to kick out. This left the crowd stunned and in shock of the result.

Chavo Guerrero defeated Harry Smith via pinfall in 29:59.
Rating: *** 1/4

After the match, Chavo and Vickie leave the ring as Harry Smith slowly gets to his feet. As Chavo and Vickie make their way up the aisle, Stevie Richards appears, holding his side - in a mocking manner - getting a cheer from the crowd. Visibly angry, Chavo gets into Richards' face and the two begin to share words. Richards laughs and is shoved by Chavo. Richards nods his head and smirks before suddenly connecting with a stiff right hand, knocking Guerrero to the ground. The crowd cheers wildly as Richards looks at Vickie before walking away.

Backstage, Balls Mahoney is with Rebecca DiPietro. He says that, at Backlash, he went through hell against Chavo Guerrero in the Table Death Match. He says that he's been putting his body on the line for this business for years, and will continue to do it because it's what he loves. He says he won't be surprised when Ken Kennedy chooses not to have another Extreme Rules match during his time with the ECW brand. Mahoney promises to show Kennedy that ECW isn't as easy as it may seem.

Coming back from commercials, Charlie Haas is seen talking to Shelton Benjamin, backstage. Matt Striker appears and tells Charlie Haas to never embarrass him like Haas did earlier in the show. Haas smiles and says that Striker shouldn't hold his breath, and reminds him that their match is coming up soon.

Match Three:
Extreme Rules Match
Ken Kennedy vs. Balls Mahoney (w/Francine)

Balls Mahoney made good on his promise of beating Ken Kennedy tonight, however, there was very little use of the "Extreme Rules" stipulation. The crowd was still into the match, as both men gave each other everything they had, but the fans wanted to see what they've come to expect from ECW... tonight, they just didn't see it. Mahoney picked up the win with the Nutcracker Suite.

Balls Mahoney pinned Ken Kennedy with the Nutcracker Suite in 11:19.
Rating: *** ¾

Backstage, the ECW roster is seen huddled together - some seated in metal chairs, others standing in the back - talking amongst themselves. Shane McMahon walks in, causing the group to stop talking and look oddly in the new GM's direction. Like earlier in the program, Shane announces that he has some new plans in mind for the ECW brand, and that he wanted to inform the entire roster at once of his decisions. Shane says that his ideas will better the company as a whole... but that he isn't ready to discuss in detail most of the plans. He does, however, tell the roster that next week a tournament will begin to crown the first-ever ECW Television Champion. Shane says that as the weeks go by, he will begin to unveil more details on what his plans are for the brand. Shane thanks everyone for their time and leaves the room.

Match Four:
Charlie Haas vs. Matt Striker

This match started slowly, which didn't get the crowd into it very much. And, with the hopes of changing the reaction of the fans, the match ended before it could. Striker cost himself the match after losing his temper with the referee, and shoving the official down, giving Haas the DQ victory.

Charlie Haas defeated Matt Striker by disqualification in 7:06.
Rating: **

After the match, Haas rolled out of the ring and celebrated his victory as Striker continued to argue with the referee.

Joey Styles and Tazz thank the audience for tuning in as the show goes off the air.

ECW on Sci Fi
5/15/07
1st Mariner Arena - Baltimore, MD

"Famous" by Puddle of Mudd plays in the background as a recap of last week's show is given. Once the video ends, Joey Styles and Tazz welcome everyone to the program, and say that tonight, neither one of them know what is going to happen as Shane McMahon has said he is going to have an announcement to kick off the show. {1:11}

As if on cue, Shane McMahon's music begins to play causing some of the crowd to rise and applaud while others stay seated. Shane comes out to the ring in a business suit, with a microphone in his hand. He enters the ring and looks around the arena, soaking in the scene.

Shane McMahon: "Last week, I made an announcement to the men and women backstage that there would be a tournament to determine the first-ever Television Championship. Well, tonight, right here in Baltimore, that tournament is going to take place! The first four matches of the tournament will take place this evening, and the tournament will continue until there is a new TV Champion."

The crowd gives Shane a fair reaction, anticipating the action in the TV Tournament.

Shane McMahon: "Also, in tonight's main event, ECW Champion Sabu will be in action. He will take on Chuck Palumbo in a non-title match. And... tonight, I will also reveal a little more of my plans for what I want to do with Extreme Championship Wrestling. Thank you, and enjoy the show."

Shane leaves the ring as ECW goes to commercials. {11:40}

Match One
Television Tournament - Round One
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan vs. Derek Neikirk

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Derek Neikirk started off the TV Tournament with a very impressive match that went very close to the time limit. Neikirk had the advantage for most of the match, has he worn down "Hacksaw" at the beginning of the match. However, Duggan was able to fight back and kick out of two Round Trips and hit the Old Glory for the victory, and the chance to advance into the second round.

Jim Duggan pinned Derek Neikirk with the Old Glory in 22:49.
Rating: ** ¾

After the match, Joey Styles and Tazz voice over as a preview for Smackdown's Judgment Day pay-per-view is shown.

Backstage, Ken Kennedy is shown with Rebecca DiPietro.

Rebecca DiPietro: "Ken Kennedy. Last week, right here on ECW, you lost to Balls Mahoney in an Extreme Rules Match. How do you feel tonight, and what are your plans?"

Ken Kennedy: "Listen to me, Rebecca! I know there's going to be a lot of people in this company that are you going to say that I don't belong in ECW. There are going to be some that snicker and laugh, thinking that I'm in a brand where I have no reason to be a part of. But, the truth is, all those nay-sayers and critics can kiss my ass! Last week, you're right, I did lose to Balls Mahoney. I'm a man's man, so I know where to give credit when it's due. Therefore, Mahoney... congratulations on your victory last week. But, you can be for certain that it's the last time you'll ever beat Ken Kennedy! You are nothing but a road block in my path to the ECW World Title. Right here, right now, I can promise you, there is nothing that's going to stop Missssssssssster Kennnnnnnnnnnnedy!"

Kennedy stares into the camera before abruptly walking away as ECW fades to commercials.

Match Two
Television Tournament - Round One
"Bulldog" Harry Smith vs. Chavo Guerrero (w/Vickie Guerrero)

Chavo Guerrero and Harry Smith battled each other to decide who would be moving to the second round of the Television Title Tournament, in a match that capture the crowd's attention at every turn! These two fought for just over half an hour! Neither the frogsplash or the Stampede Powerslam could put their opponents away. Even interference from Vickie Guerrero - twice - wasn't able to give Guerrero the victory. However, it was a sign of fatigue that allowed the match to end. Smith went to bodyslam Guerrero, but it was reversed into a small package for the victory.

Chavo Guerrero pinned Harry Smith after a small package in 30:35.
Rating: *** ½

After the match, Chavo quickly slid out of the ring as he and Vickie made their way backstage. Inside the ring, Harry Smith sits up, frustrated by losing his chance at advancing.

Backstage, after the match, Rebecca DiPietro is with Stevie Richards.

Rebecca DiPietro: "Stevie, tonight you've bee selected to take part in the Television Title tournament. With your short history with Chavo Guerrero and seeing him advance to the second round, how does it feel to know that you may be facing him later in the tournemant?"

Stevie Richards: "The history between Chavo and I is pretty short-lived, Rebecca. But, you know as well as anyone else... this is ECW. Extreme Championship Wrestling! Chavo Guerrero might've come over here from Smackdown after WrestleMania, and that's fine with me. But, when he starts complaining about the pain his body is going through, that's when I start thinking to myself that he's not really "extreme". Now, I know there's a chance of us meeting in the tournament, and I hope we do... because, whether or not the title is on the line, I will show Chavo Guerrero what ECW is all about!"

Richards walks away from the scene changes. In another area of the back, Chuck Palumbo is seen, standing alone...

Chuck Palumbo: "Later tonight, I am being given the opportunity of a lifetime. Shane McMahon has seen something in the short time that I've been with ECW, and is allowing me to face Sabu right here, in Baltimore. I know tonight's match isn't a title match, but I will give my all and hope for the best."

Palumbo stares into the camera as the scene fades.

Match Three
Television Title Tournament - Round One
Tommy Dreamer vs. Shelton Benjamin

Tommy Dreamer had quite the challenge tonight as he had to take on Shelton Benjamin AND Mama Benjamin. Dreamer showed that he still had a little more gas in the tank, even fighting off Mama Benjamin throughout the match. In the quickest of the matches so far, Dreamer picked up the victory with the Dreamer DDT.

Tommy Dreamer pinned Shelton Benjamin with the Dreamer DDT in 6:40.
Rating: ** ½

After the match, ECW World Champion Sabu is seen entering the arena with the title draped over his shoulder. Tazz and Joey Styles discuss the feeling of seeing someone with such a long history in ECW with the title now that Matt Striker has been taken off the ladder.

Shane McMahon's music welcomes everyone back from commercials as the new owner and GM makes his way down to the ring. Tazz and Joey Styles question what he's going to tell the crowd. McMahon gets into the ring and grabs a microphone...

Shane McMahon: "Well, it's good to see that we've had ourselves some good action, here tonight. I'm glad to see that everyone in this tournament is trying to do their best... and so far, it's shown. But, I think I've come up with an idea that's going to bring ECW back to the following this company once had. Therefore, I am out here tonight, to inform the roster and everyone all you fans that, starting next month, ECW will be moving to a Saturday night timeslot right here on ECW. I am making this move so that I can bring ECW back to how the fans remember it. Starting next month, this will not be the cookie-cutter brand that my father ran for the past few months. That much, I can promise you! Thank you for your time and enjoy the rest of the show."

McMahon leaves the ring as the crowd begins to cheer.

Match Four
Television Title Tournament - Round One Match:
Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Stevie Richards

Jimmy Wang Yang and Stevie Richards battled it out to se who would take the final spot in the second round. Wang showed his lack of experience taking on the ECW veteran, giving Richards plenty of opportunities to gain victory. Stevie did, indeed, keep his promise of moving to the the next round after pinning Yang with the Stevie-T.

Stevie Richards pinned Jimmy Wang Yang with the Stevie-T in 15:39.

Match Five

However, the champion was able to turn it around and connect with the Triple Jump Moonsault for the victory.

He then said that David Young was a nobody in professional wrestling, and that the match lasted as long as it did because "MVP" was rusty and wanted some ring time. He looked around the ring, smugly, and demanded that someone with more ability that David Young take on him from the ECW locker room. After a few minutes of silence, Shelton Benjamin appeared on the stage - alongside his Mama. MVP motioned for Benjamin to "bring it" and set up for a fight. Benjamin rushed down the ramp and slid into the ring as the official rang the bell.

2) Montel Vontavious Porter defeated Shelton Benjamin (w/Mama Benjamin) by disqualification in 9:52.
Rating: * 1/4
[Mama Benjamin interfered against MVP.]

- After the match, Shelton Benjamin grabbed Chad Patton and tried to plead his case. From behind, MVP attacked Benjamin and connected with the "Playmaker" in the center of the ring. MVP stared at Mama Benjamin as he left the ring to more mixed reactions.

- Backstage, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan told Rebecca DiPietro that it felt great to be in the main event last week, wrestling for the ECW World Title. He said that he'd never imagine that he'd be a main event Superstar at his age, especially after all the illnesses he's had to battle during his career. He promised to do whatever it takes to get himself one title before his career his over.

[BREAK]

- Coming back from the break, a promotional video aired for RAW's Vengeance pay-per-view.

- ECW Television Champion Edge - and Lita - are backstage with Rebecca DiPietro. Edge said that he felt no sympathy for Tommy Dreamer and his farewell speech earlier in the show. He said that Dreamer had his one final chance at glory and blew it... because he couldn't beat the "Xtreme One". Edge said that it didn't matter who was number one contender for his title. He said that he was the shocking choice to come into the TV title match, and that he looks forward to keeping the title for a very long time. Edge finished off saying that, in just a few minutes, he'd prove his worth as TV Champion in the ring.

- Jim Duggan is seen walking toward his locker room, when he gets blindsided by Matt Striker. Striker knocked Duggan to the ground and landed kicks into "Hacksaw's" gut. Striker said that Duggan should've never been in the main event last week, and that if anyone deserves a title shot against Sabu it should be the man that held the belt before him. Striker walked off in a fit of rage as Duggan struggled for breath.

3) Non-Title Match:

4) Matt Striker defeated Jim Duggan via pinfall in 14:19.
Rating: 3/4*

- After the match, with the crowd booing, Striker grabbed a microphone and said that he just gave proof why Jim Duggan is past his prime. Striker said that it's about time for him to be the teacher he once was when he was the top man in Extreme Championship Wrestling.

ECW Mayhem
June 30, 2007
Daniel-Meyer Coliseum
Fort Worth, Texas
[hr]

(Joey Styles and Tazz welcome the audience to "Mayhem" live from the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Tazz comments on the irony of a Christian college allowing ECW to hold a show on its campus without feeling morally wrong about it. Styles says that tonight, they're going to push the limits of "morality" with the line-up of matches. First, there will be a tag team match where Super Crazy and Shelton Benjamin will be taking on MVP and Jimmy Wang Yang. Tazz then announces that also tonight, Matt Striker has challenged Kenny to a "No-Disqualification" match that Kenny accepted before Mayhem came on the air. The commentary gets interrupted as Chris Bosh makes his way to the ring. Once inside the ring, he grabs a microphone and looks around the Coliseum, as the fans begin to boo him.)

Chris Bosh: "You all can boo me for as long as you want. None of it will change the fact that, last week, I proved that you don't have to have the biggest muscles in the world to win a wrestling match here in Extreme Championship Wrestling. I proved that I could beat one of the more well-rounded veterans on this roster without even breaking a sweat! And, all you people have to show for my victory is this piss-poor response! It doesn't matter to me because, I heard that earlier, Mike Sanders wanted to challenge me one more time, here tonight. Well, Mike, here I am... standing here all alone inside this ring. Obviously, you're smart enough to know that I'm accepting your challenge! So, why don't you bring your sorry ass down here so I can beat it one more time?"

(Bosh drops the microphone as he gets ready for his opponent's entrance. However, Shane McMahon's music plays as the ECW owner appears on-stage, much to the surprise of the crowd in attendance.)

Shane McMahon: "Chris, now I know you've been waiting to get into the ring with Mike Sanders, here tonight. However, I am here to announce that, due to reasons that are beyond my control - or his - Mike Sanders will NOT be appearing here, tonight. But, Chris, I assure you, you have a match, as I have a suitable replacement... "

(Shane steps aside as "Bulldog" Harry Smith's music begins to play as the crowd begins to cheer. Bosh stands in the center of the ring - his arms folded at his chest, nodding - as he watches Smith walk down the ramp and enter the ring. The referee rings the bell.)

Chris Bosh pinned Harry Smith after a schoolboy cradle in 4:49.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Mike Sanders no-showed.)

(After the match, Chris Bosh quickly slides out of the ring under the bottom rope as the fans boo loudly. Harry Smith angrily smacks his hands on the canvas out of disgust. Bosh smiles as he watches Smith's anger, pointing to his head. Bosh walks away - down the aisle - as the camera goes backstage where Rebecca DiPietro is with Kenny.)

Rebecca: "Kenny, tonight, you have accepted Matt Striker's challenge for a No Disqualification match. After what took place last week, how do you feel going into this match with these stipulations?"

Kenny: "Well, to tell you the truth, Rebecca, Matt Striker feels like he's on top of the world after beating me last week. Yeah, I got a little out of hand and I got disqualified for it. I know that Striker only set this match up so that, if he beats me, he can say he did it fair and square. Well, I'm standing here right now, and I'm telling everyone that's watching me right now, that there's no way I'm letting someone like Matt Striker get the best of me inside that ring tonight."

(Kenny walks away as "Mayhem" goes to commercials.)

COMMERCIAL BREAK

(Mark Henry is shown entering the arena as "Mayhem" returns. As he walks through the hallway, Julio Dinero attacks him from behind, causing a mixed reaction from the crowd.)

Joey Styles: "What the hell is Dinero doing, Tazz?"

Tazz: "I don't know, Styles but, if he's trying to get the big man's attention, he sure got it!"

(Dinero laughs as Henry slowly gets up to his feet before running off, out of sight.)

Super Crazy & Shelton Benjamin defeated Montel Vontavious Porter & Jimmy Wang Yang when Super Crazy made MVP submit with the Pendulum Swing in 7:45.
Rating: N/A

(After the match, MVP is shown holding his lower back in pain as Super Crazy and Shelton Benjamin leave the ring, celebrating their victory. Jimmy Wang Yang is fuming, staring at Super Crazy in the corner of the ring...)

(... backstage, Rebecca DiPietro is shown in a light blue top and black skirt which gets the men in the audience cheering...)

Rebecca: "Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce one of the ECW Originals, Stevie Richards!"

(... Richards appears on-stage, next to Rebecca, in his ring gear. The die-hard fans cheer as he runs his hand through his hair, getting it out of his eyes...)

Rebecca: "Stevie, tonight, you've got the chance to become number one contender for the Television Title, with a title shot against Edge at ECW's first pay-per-view, Hardcore Heaven on August 4th. How are you feeling this evening?"

(... Richards smiles and nods his head before answering...)

S. Richards: "To be completely honest with you, Rebecca, I couldn't be happier then I am right now. I know that my old friend Tommy Dreamer would've loved to hold that TV Title. But, it appears that the self-proclaimed "Xtreme Superstar", Edge, had what it took to take Tommy out for good. Well, I know tonight I have to get into the ring with "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan - a man that I respect; a man that I grew up watching when I was a child. Tonight, he wants what I want. However, Jim Duggan doesn't bleed ECW like Stevie Richards does. And, because of that, tonight... right here in Fort Worth, Texas... I will earn my chance to face Edge at Hardcore Heaven. And, on August 4th, I'll show Edge who the true "Xtreme Superstar" is."

(... Richards smirks at the camera before walking off to a tremendous ovation from the crowd at ringside...)

J. Styles: "Whoa! Tazz, I can't remember the last time I've seen that intensity out of Stevie Richards!"

Tazz: "Styles, a lot of people look at Stevie Richards and are hardly intimidated. But, being a form ECW star myself, I've stepped into the ring with that man plenty of times. I've seen that intensity in his eyes before. I know what he's capable of when he sets his mind on something. Unfortunately, for "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan... he hasn't seen that intensity. And, I think that his lack of knowledge of Stevie Richards could cost him a Television Title match at Hardcore Heaven."

(... the scene then changes to show Matt Striker exiting Shane McMahon's office and walking down the hallway...)

Tazz: "What the hell is going on with Matt Striker and Shane McMahon, Styles?"

J. Styles: "I have the slightest clue, Tazz. But, that's the second week in a row we've seen Striker coming in or going out of Shane's office..."

(... "Mayhem" goes to commercials as the crowd begins to murmur...)

COMMERICAL BREAK

No-Disqualification Match:
Kenny pinned Matt Striker with the Flying Legdrop in 9:35.
Rating: **1/2

(The bell rings, signaling the end of the match as Kenny slides under the bottom rope holding his tailbone but, also celebrating his victory...)

J. Styles: "Kenny wins the match! Tazz, that Flying Legdrop came out of nowhere!"

Tazz: "You're damn right it did, Styles! Watching this match, I didn't think Kenny would have it in him to hit his finisher. After the beating Matt Striker was giving him, I sure as hell thought Striker had this match in the bag!"

(... Kenny celebrates as he walks up the aisle. Inside the ring, the referee looks after Striker, who is shown holding his throat...)

(... in the back, Television Champion Edge - with Lita - is seen entering the arena. He is dressed in casual clothes, and is carrying the TV Title over his shoulder...)

[color blue] J. Style: "Tonight, we will find out who will be facing that man - right there - at ECW's first brand-only pay-per-view, Hardcore Heaven on August 4th!"

Tazz: "It's going to be an interesting contrast of styles tonight, when ECW Original Stevie Richards steps into the ring with a 2x4-wielding "tough guy", "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan..."

(... Edge and Lita walk past the camera as the screen begins to show a hype video for Smackdown's "Great American Bash" pay-per-view...)

J. Styles: "And, speaking of upcoming pay-per-view events... on July 22nd, Smackdown presents the Great American Bash, live from the H.P. Pavilion in San Jose, California!"

Tazz: "It should be interesting to see what comes out of Smackdown over the next month, leading up to the Bash."

(... the promotional video ends as Rebecca DiPietro is shown backstage, once again getting cheers from the crowd...)

Rebecca: "Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time is the second competitor in the Number One Contenders Match for the ECW Television Title... "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan..."

(... Duggan appears on-screen, with his 2x4 over his shoulder. He looks around while biting his lip as Rebecca stares at him for a moment...)

Rebecca: "Hacksaw... earlier tonight, your opponent - Stevie Richards - had some pretty interesting things to say about your match later tonight. Do you care to respond to any of those statements?

J. Duggan: "Rebecca, I heard what Stevie said, and he's right. I may not bleed ECW like he does but, I do bleed good 'ole red, white, and blue! And, because of that... I will go into that ring tonight, like the American troops went into Iraq! And, just like our good guys overseas, I'm not going to leave that ring until the job is done, and this 'ole tough guy is the Number One Contender!"

(... Duggan looks into the camera, holding his 2x4 in the air...)

J. Duggan: "USA! USA! USA!"

(... Duggan then walks away as the camera shows Rebecca standing still...)

Tazz: "Did he just say what I think he said, Styles? I don't know if that plan's gonna work... because, if he's coming into this ring like the American troops, then there's no way..."

J. Styles: "Tazz! Just stop right there. It's time for a commercial break. But, when we return here to Mayhem, we will see who wants a shot at Edge and the TV Title more: Steve Richards or "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan..."

(... "Mayhem" goes to commercials as the camera pans the crowd inside the arena...)

Commercial Break

(Coming back from commercials a video is shown of Mark Henry, backstage...)

M. Henry: "Julio Dinero, I hope you don't think that your little sneak attack earlier tonight was going to keep me away from the Number One Contenders match. Because, if that's what you're thinking, then you're poorly mistaken!"

(... the video fades away into a promotional video for "Hardcore Heaven"...)

J. Styles: "Well, Tazz, it looks like Mark Henry is ready for some payback here tonight! And, if he's able to exact it, we might have our number one contender to face Sabu at Hardcore Heaven."

Tazz: "That's right, Styles. Hardcore Heaven - ECW's first brand-only pay-per-view of 2007 - will be on August 4th from the Tulsa Convention Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It's going to be off the chain, Styles!"

J. Styles: "It certainly will be. And, right now, we will find out who will go to Hardcore Heaven with a title shot against "The Xtreme Superstar" Edge for the Television Title..."

Jim Duggan pinned Stevie Richards with the Old Glory in 10:52.
Rating: DUD

(... the bell rings as Duggan is announced the winner. Stevie Richards is shown holding this throat from the Old Glory clothesline as Duggan celebrates in the ring. Out of the crowd at ringside, Edge jumps over the guardrail and slides into the ring, waiting...)

J. Styles: "Tazz... it's Edge!"

Tazz: "Don't turn around Hacksaw!"

(... as Duggan turns towards the other side of the ring to continue his celebration, Edge runs full speed towards him, connecting with a Spear that flattens Duggan to the canvas. Edge stands over Duggan. "Mayhem" goes to commercials with the crowd booing Edge as Lita stands beside him, smiling and laughing...)

Commercial Break

(... as Mayhem returns, a video is shown of Edge Spearing Jim Duggan from moments ago. When the video ends, Duggan is shown getting medical attention in the backstage area. Out of nowhere, Edge bursts into the room, causing the ECW officials to freak out. They try to separate Edge from Duggan who looks like he wants a piece of the "Xtreme Superstar"...)

Edge: "Duggan... I hope you realize what you're getting yourself into! You have no idea what I'm capable of doing inside that ring. Tonight, what you got was just a taste of what you'll get at Hardcore Heaven! Haha!"

(... Edge leaves the room, laughing, as Duggan buckles over in pain, holding his abdomen. The scene goes back to ringside...)

J. Styles: "Well, Tazz, it sure appears as if Edge has landed the first shot heading into the Television Title match at Hardcore Heaven. Do you think he's at an advantage, going up against someone of "Hacksaw's" age?"

Tazz: "Styles, age doesn't really have a part to play in this match. I mean - yeah, sure - it's going to play a role but, the thing to remember is, Duggan wants a championship around his waist. It's something he's never had the opportunity to do in his career. And, the quicker he can get one, the better because, if he takes a few more Spears like he got tonight, his career could be cut short."

J. Styles: "It'll be an interesting month here on Mayhem as that story is sure to unfold more as we head to Hardcore Heaven. But, heading into tonight's main event... earlier tonight, Julio Dinero attempted to attack Mark Henry as he was arriving here in Fort Worth, trying to get an upper hand and further his chances of walking out with a World Title Match against Sabu on August 4th."

Tazz: "But, as we saw just a few moments ago, it appears the attack only angered the big man more... which, I think, doesn't bode well for Julio Dinero."

Julio Dinero pinned Mark Henry after the Running Forearm Smash in 13:57.
Rating: ***

(... the bell rings as the Fort Worth crowd looks on in shock. Alexis Laree slides into the ring and jumps into Dinero's arms. The crowd doesn't know how to react as Dinero and Laree leave the ring, making their way up the aisle...)

J. Styles: "I can't believe it! Julio Dinero is the Number One Contender for the ECW World Title! OH MY GOD!!!"
