Oliver's WWF - Royal Rumble '08

VertigoPosted on 12/28/07 at 16:48:34

For those who may not know, Oliver used to a WWF circuit as TNM progressed. I don't plan on posting his results as they can be found on the official TNM site (www.tnm7.com). I just thought it would be interesting to compare Oliver's results for the '08 Rumble with the upcoming Rumble.

Match observations:

The 1-2-3 Kid did the seemingly impossible. Toshiaki Kawada pummeled him from
bell to bell, but in the end, the Kid reigned supreme. Way to go Sean !

Diesel also seems to be on his way back to composure.

What a comeback for veteran WWF superstar Bret Hart. If he keeps his game at
this pace, he'll be in for title shots very soon.

Speaking of title shots, it will be Vader who gets the shot at the WWF champion
at WrestleMania.

Sting kept the WWF title against Razor Ramon and will have to defend it against
Bam Bam Bigelow

Simplicity at it's finest. One of the things that made Oliver's circuit so enjoyable for me was that it was easy to follow and wasn't a task to read.

But check out the roster. How many of those wrestlers are capable of wrestling anymore, let alone ALIVE?

And STING as WWF Champion? I wonder how good a Ladder Match between Hall & Sting would be today? Probably the shits.

HEY, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THAT BENOIT GUY?
Hello MunshunPosted on 12/28/07 at 18:19:47

BENOIT WHO?  ???

Wow. I used to read Oliver's cards all the time when I was just getting started. I loved his post-card write ups. But, I was never able to duplicate them...  Ahh, the simpler times :)
