3CW Resurrection 9-22-07

JustinCrediblePosted on 09/23/07 at 01:12:20

After months of trying new circuits & not liking how they were turning out. I really missed running 3CW so, I came to the descision that it needed to come back. This time, I've sacled back alittle, and won't be running weekly shows. Just monthly ones like an indy fed might. I'm not using a ruleset. But if all goes as planned I may write out my stradegy for the new 3CW as one.

So here it is... the big comeback.... 3CW's Resurrection

The show opens up with ring announcer Larry Philips coming to the ring & welcoming the crowd in attendance back to Third Coast Wrestling. And seeing how this is a new beginning for the company, new champions need to be crowned. So up first is a tag team match in which the winning team will go on to face eachother in a 1 on 1 match for the new 3CW Cruiserweight Title.

Shannon Moore and Steve Lewington defeated Davey Richards and Derek Frazier
when S. Lewington pinned Frazier with the Flying Dropkick in 0:15:45.
Rating: ** 1/2

Frazier & Richards came so close on many occations to picking up the victory, but, it was the speed & strength of Moore & Lewington that allowed them to pick up the win & advance to the next match for the title.

Match for the vacant 3CW Cruiserweight Title:
Shannon Moore pinned Steve Lewington with the Mooregasm in 0:09:48.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Shannon Moore won the 3CW Cruiserweight Title.)

Even after such a hard fought opening match, these 2 didn't hold anything back as they battled it out for the gold. It would eventually be Moore's experience that would be the deciding advantage as he hit the Mooregasm for the win & the title.

After the match, 3CW owner: Jack Turner came out to welcome everyone back to 3CW. He let us know that he's missed everybody and appreciated all the support for him, the company, and the boys in the back. He claimed there were about forty people backstage who hadn't slept in three to four days trying to put the show together. He then introduced the new 3CW commissioner, Bill DeMott, who came out to announce a big surprise was in store later on in the show. DeMott reiterated Turner's sentiment of being back in business, thanking the fans and wrestlers on hand to work. All of the sudden, Justin Credible's music plays & the self proclaimed "Impact Player" joined DeMott in the ring. Credible goes on a rant about how DeMott is a has been that can't cut it in the ring anymore so he has to come out & pander to the fans for cheap pops. DeMott starts to get upset but with Turner standing next to him, he is reminded that he can't do anything physical in the ring or he will lose hs position as commissioner. Security comes out to the ring to escort DeMott to the back so the show can continue.

3CW Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarterfinal:
Justin Credible pinned Joey Matthews with the That's Incredible in 0:08:42.
Rating: ** 1/4

It was back & forth all the way as these 2 former WWE superstars battled it out for what is believed to be the first time ever. Credible's underhanded tactics & "extreme" background proved to be enough of an edge for him to pick up the win & advance in the tournament.

3CW Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarterfinal:
Bryan Clark pinned Ken Kennedy with the Meltdown in 0:18:40.
Rating: *** 3/4

Ken Kennedy, made his return to 3CW & proved to be up to the test for Clark, who was making his return to wrestling as well. Both held their own in this standard brawling match. But it was Clark's experience & power that lead him to victory over Kennedy when he hit the Meltdown for the 1, 2, 3.

No-Time-Limit-Four Corners Match for the vacant 3CW Tag Team Title:
Too Cool (Brian Lawler and Scotty 2 Hotty) defeated Los Pochos Guapos (Aaron Aguilera and Kaos),
The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) and The Pitbulls (Kid Kash and Jamie Noble):
x Lawler beat J. Noble after the Tennessee Jam in 0:16:07
x Lawler beat M. Briscoe via countout in 0:45:01
x Lawler beat Aguilera after the Tennessee Jam in 0:48:52
Rating: *** 3/4
(Too Cool won the 3CW Tag Team Title.)

After the match, Los Pochos Guapos attacked Too Cool prompting The Voodoo Kin Mafia to charge the ring. B.G. James announced that he and Kip James wanted the 3CW tag titles. Commissioner DeMott came out to announce that the main event would be a three way match between Too Cool, Los Pochos Guapos, and VKM for the 3CW Tag Team Title.

3CW Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarterfinal:
Patrick Brink pinned Kenny Dykstra with the Brink of Destruction in 0:13:45.
Rating: **

These 2 young lions went all out for the next spot in the tournament. Dykstra had the speed advantage over his larger opponent but it was when he got distracted by a ringside fan, that cost Dykstra the match. Standing on the top rope preparing for a moonsault, pausing to argue with the man, allowed Brink to get up & hit the Brink of Destruction (Razor's Edge) and pick up the win.

3CW Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarterfinal:
Sonny Siaki pinned Chris Hero with the Siakoylpse NOW in 0:13:06.
Rating: *** 1/4

Siaki, the second of only 2 "3CW originals" to return to the company, and Hero battled all around ringside as they both wanted the final spot in the Heavyweight Title Tournament. Hero's high flying & hardcore abilities paid off while outside the ring, but, when the referee regained control, it was Siaki's power that spelled doom for the man from Metropolis.

Matt Hardy pinned Montel Vontavious Porter with the Twist of Fate in 0:14:05.
Rating: ** 3/4

It was a treat for the fans to see 2 of Friday Night Smackdown's hottest stars take eachother on live & up close. MVP's WWE U.S. Title was not on the line however as he & Hardy fought hard throughout the arena. Alot of good chain & counter wrestling from both men, but in the end it was a good thing for MVP that it was a non-title match, as Hardy hit the Twist of Fate to pick up the win, much to the crowd's delight.

No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Triangle Match:
Voodoo Kin Mafia (B.G. James and Kip James) defeated Los Pochos Guapos (Aaron Aguilera and Kaos) and
Too Cool (Brian Lawler and Scotty 2 Hotty) when B.G. James pinned Lawler with the Pumphandle Slam in 0:16:27.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Voodoo Kin Mafia won the 3CW Tag Team Title.)

It is interesting to note that B.G. James was wearing a T-Shirt that said "James Gang", but that Kip was wearing his Mr. Ass trunks. During B.G.'s standard ring introduction he said, "TNA proudly brings to you, your soon to be 3CW Tag Team Champions of the World, the Road Dogg Jesse James, the Bad Ass Billy Gun, the New Age Outlaws!" Kip got on the mic & said "So much for intellectual property rights. So, if you're not down with that we got 2 words for ya...." He held up the mic & the crowd responded with a huge pop as they shouted "Suck It!"
The match itself was fast paced as saw alot of interesting in ring combinations. Too Cool nearly got the win when Lawler hit the Tennessee Jam on B.G. Kip made the save & kept the match alive. As Kip & Scoty 2 Hotty battled with Los Pochos Guapos outside the ring, B.G. managed to recover & hit Lawler with the Pumphandle Powerslam to pick up the win & the 3CW Tag Team Titles, crowning new tag champs for the second time tonight to end the show.

Card rating: ***

3CW Newsline:

With 3CW's big return being concidered a success by those that viewed it, we prepare to go forward with our next show on Oct 20, 2007: CYBERSLAM!

Justin Credible, Bryan Clark, Patrick Brink & Sonny Siaki have all qualifiedfor the semi-final round of the 3CW Heavyweight Title Tournament. One of these men will walk out of Cyberslam with the gold.

VKM shocked everyone by not only showing up at Resurrection, but, by walking out with the 3CW Tag Team Title in a suprise Main Event made by Commissioner Bill DeMott.

Speaking of Demott, the 3CW Commissioner seems to be having trouble with Justin Credible's attitude. But, unable to physically get back at "The Impact Player", will Demott find another way to shut the upstart's mouth?

Shannon Moore walked away from Resurrection as the new 3CW Cruiserweight Champion after over 25 minutes of action by pinning his own tag team partner from the opening match. At Cyberslam, Moore will defend his newly won gold against one of the men he faced at Resurrection: "Pure Impact" Derek Frazier.

Back to the VKM/Tag Team Title situation, what was not covered earlier is that neither Kip nor B.G. James are under contract with 3CW right now. That leaves the 3CW Tag belts being held by a team that in all possibilities could refuse to come back to 3CW to defend them. We'll have more on this as we get closer to Cyberslam.

Already signed for Cyberslam on Oct 20:

3CW Cruiserweight Title match:
Shannon Moore ( c) vs Derek Frazier

3CW Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Finals:
Sonny Siaki vs Patrick Brink
Justin Credible vs Bryan Clark

** The winners of these matches will face off for the 3CW Heavyweight Title later in the night.

More updates to come!

3CW Special Update:

Cyberslam 2007 draws ever closer & as it does, news of the event just keeps getting bigger.

As you all know the vacant 3CW Heavyweight Title will be filled as 4 men battle in 2 semi final matches to determine just who will walk out with the gold. Justin Credible, Patrick Brink, Bryan Clark, & Sonny Siaki will all be ready to see who the best really is.

Current 3CW Tag Team Champions: B.G. & Kip James (The Voodoo Kin Mafia) will defend the tag team titles in a special guantlet match. Other teams involved will be The Pitbulls, Los Pochos Guapos, & former champions: Too Cool. The rules are simple: 2 teams start out & as 1 team gets eliminated, another comes down to continue the match until only 1 remains. The last team standing will be crowned 3CW Tag Team Champions.

But perhaps the biggest announcement is that we have finally found a home venue. From now on, 3CW will be coming from the Festival Hall at Navy Pier overlooking Lake Michigan in Chicago. It will be the new "3CW Arena" (unofficially) & we look forward to bringing our special brand of action to all the fans from this great location for a long time.
