(Fireworks explode as GWA Ground Zero begins! We are in Seattle, Washington and tonight, our main event is the GWA Tag Team champions AJ Styles and Christian defending their titles against the Young Lions! The GWA T.V. and Cruiserweight Titles are also on the line tonight!

First, however, "Medal" plays as the GWA World Champion Kurt Angle walks down the aisle. He has the GWA World Title around his waist as the crowd boos him. He steps through the ropes and gets a mic.)

KA: I first want to announce something. You see, two weeks ago, my GWA North American Title was changed into the World Title, and I wanted to make the first defense something special. So I decided to open it up to everybody. I'll be watching each match tonight and the person who impresses me the most will get a shot next week. Oh, it's true. But as for Day of the Dead, last week, pretty much everybody in the GWA fought for the right to enter the Gauntlet match. And who's at the end of that gauntlet? Me and the GWA World Title. But I don't feel like I'm threatened by any of the people in the match. I mean, Ken Shamrock? I beat him. Taz? I beat him. Ultimo Dragon? I could definitely beat him. AJ Styles? I have a lot of respect for him, but he's not an Olympic gold medallist. And as for Doug Williams...

("Master of Puppets" cuts Angle off as Williams walks down the aisle on cue. He steps through the ropes and takes the mic from Angle.)

DW: As for Doug Williams? You have not had the upperhand on me at all since I've come to the GWA Kurt. I've been fighting everybody in England and I outwrestled them all. What makes you think you can do any better?

(Angle grabs the mic back.)

KA: Hello! Gold medal! Olympics! Best in the world! It's true!

(Williams grabs it back.)

DW: That's what you got? Something that happened 10 years ago? I'm the best on a continent RIGHT NOW. And I came here to prove it.

("Them Bones" by Alice in Chains plays as Ken Shamrock walks down the aisle. He grabs a mic from the timekeeper and stays in the ring.)

KS: You two can blabber on about who's better all you want, but you seem to be forgetting someone. I am the man who threw everybody else over the top rope to get my entry into the Gauntlet. And while, yeah, you might have beaten me once Kurt, I've also beaten you.

KA: Everybody gets lucky once Shamrock. You put you and me in the same ring 100 times and I'll win at least 95. Oh, it's true. You're just like Taz. When push comes to shove, you're just going to punch and kick.

KS: Hmm, a better man would just laugh that off. But I guess I don't know any better.

(Shamrock hits Angle with a forearm smash to take him down to the mat and then jumps on him, smacking on him with elbows to the head. Williams comes in with stomps to both Shamrock and Angle, but leaves the ring as Ultimo Dragon and Taz run down the aisle. Angle manages to roll out of the ring in the confusion.

We cut from there to the back with the Young Lions.)

Joey Matthews: Are you sure you're up to this match?

Christian York: Definitely. I've had three weeks off now after Halloween hit me with a DDT on the floor. I'm back healthy again. And I'm always up for facing Styles and Christian.

JM: Especially now that they're the champions.

CY: We're a three count away from having the tag team gold.

JM: But what are we going to do about Mexico's Most Wanted?

CY: That is a problem, but we're going to have to stay focused. If we want to be tag champs, we have to be prepared for everything and everyone wanting a shot at us.

JM: True, true. But if we do what we've been doing, we'll beat them and get the belts.

CY: Let's go for it.

(We come back to the ring where "Final Resistance" by Dark Tranquillity plays as Jerry Lynn walks down the aisle. Since returning from injury, he's been trying to fight CIMA to get revenge for his injury. As a result, he's interfered with Red as well many times. However, he's also been winning, so he's getting a title shot at Red's Cruiserweight Title tonight. Lynn steps through the ropes and waits for his opponent.

"Edge of the Earth" by 30 Seconds to Mars plays and the Amazing Red runs down the aisle, quickly springing onto the apron. Red managed to defeat CIMA against all odds at Fallout to retain his title, but that was partly due to the distraction of Lynn, who was trying to get into the ring. Red has spoken about his annoyance at the collateral damage Lynn has racked up to try to get at CIMA, including his idol Rey Misterio Jr. Tonight, he has a chance to settle it. Red hops over the top rope and enters a staredown with Lynn.)

[Jerry Lynn vs. The Amazing Red]

They lock up and Lynn gets Red in a headlock. He wrenches it in, but Red backs his way into the ropes and whips Lynn across the ring, taking him down with a flying forearm. He jumps on top of Lynn and starts punching away. Both men get to their feet and Red peppers him in the face with a kick. Lynn staggers back into the ropes and Red whips him across again, but Lynn manages to reverse it and knock him down with a back elbow. Red tries to spring to his feet, but Lynn catches him with some stomps to the head. He brings Red to his feet and knocks him backward with a headbutt and covers for two. Lynn brings Red back up to his feet, but Red responds with some forearms and a spinning leg lariat. Lynn gets to his feet and Red runs at him, but Lynn brings him over with a hiptoss. Red lands on his feet and tries to hit Lynn with a hiptoss of his own, but Lynn counters and brings Red down with a monkey flip. Red quickly gets up and snaps Lynn down with an armdrag. Lynn gets to his feet and brings Red down with an armdrag of his own. Both men get up and face off, then lock up again. Lynn goes behind Red, but Red is immediately able to snap mare Lynn to the mat. He sits Lynn up and then dropkicks him in the back of the head, making Lynn layout on the mat. He makes a cover, but Lynn gets a shoulder up in time. Red brings Lynn to his feet and whips him into the ropes, but Lynn connects with a high cross body for two. Both men get up and Lynn cuts off Red with a back elbow. Red staggers to the corner and Lynn follows him in. He gets on the second rope and starts punching him in the face as the crowd counts along. Lynn hops back to the mat, then whips Red into the other corner. He follows him in, but Red manages to leapfrog over him. Lynn stops himself from hitting the turnbuckles and turns around, but Red knocks him down with a spin kick. Red then runs into the ropes and jumps on Lynn with a somersault splash, then covers for a two. Red brings Lynn up to his feet, but Lynn pops him with a European uppercut. He hits a headbutt to knock Red into the ropes, then whips him across, throwing him in the air for a flapjack. Red lands hard and Lynn immediately puts him in position, then lifts him up and hits a power bomb. He holds him down, but Red kicks out for the near fall.

Lynn brings Red to his feet again and whips him into the ropes. He lifts him for a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, but Red slides down Lynn's back. Lynn turns around and Red sweeps him, then tries to hit the Red Star Press, but Lynn rolls out of the way. Both men get up and Lynn staggers Red with a chop and brings him down with a short clothesline. Lynn goes to the apron and waits for Red to get up. As he does, Lynn climbs to the top rope and jumps off the top rope, driving him down with a flying bulldog. He makes another cover, but Red squirms free for two. Red tries to get up, but Lynn stomps him in the head repeatedly. He brings Red to his feet and lifts him up, dropping him with a front-layout suplex. Red pops up to his knees and Lynn punches him in the face to send him face-first to the mat. Lynn brings Red up to his feet and tries to lift him up for a vertical suplex, but Red blocks it. Red quickly takes Lynn down with a dropkick to the knee then rolls him up, but only gets two. Both men get up and Red charges at Lynn, who picks him up and drops him with a gutbuster. He puts Red in position and lifts him for the Cradle Piledriver, but Red flails his legs about and forces Lynn to put him back down. Lynn lifts up Red again, for a power bomb this time, but Red punches him in the head and takes him down with a huracanrana. He then holds his legs down for three!

The Amazing Red pinned Jerry Lynn after a huracanrana in 0:11:42.
Rating: *** 1/4
(The Amazing Red retained the GWA Cruiserweight Title.)

Red retains the title! Lynn sits in the corner in shock over his loss as Red raises his belt in the air, but eventually gets up and stands face-to-face with him. Red readies himself for an attack, but Lynn extends his hand. Red starts to shake it, but CIMA comes out of the crowd with a chair and enters the ring, plastering both Red and Lynn with chairshots to the head! Red gets knocked out of the ring and Lynn struggles to get up, but CIMA hits him with a second chairshot to put him back down. CIMA then climbs to the top rope and jumps off, landing on Lynn's chest with a double foot stomp! CIMA springs to the turnbuckle and looks at the crowd with a wide smile on his face as Lynn and Red are left laying in the ring.

After that, we go to the back where AJ Styles and Christian are standing by.

C: Last week was disappointing for most of the Dynasty, but our man AJ got into the Gauntlet match and has a very real chance of being World champion as well as Tag champion.

AS: That's right. When you have four superstar-level athletes like the Dynasty has, it's inevitable that one of them will get through.

C: Unfortunately, due to dirty cheaters like Taz and the Rock, the rest of us didn't make it as well. But it's all right. We've calmed down. Steve Corino and Rhyno are taking the week off. And as for us?

AS: We have a match with our favorite punching bags.

C: That's right. The Young Lions. Two guys who don't realize how ridiculous they look week after week. You guys aren't so young anymore. It's time to grow up.

AS: But what I hate most about them is that they made their careers with fluke wins over us. In every match that's mattered, you two couldn't step up and beat us.

C: That won't change tonight. After chasing these titles for four months, we got them. Chris Benoit is not going to wrestle again as a result. There is absolutely no way that we're going to lose them in our first title defense.

AS: Especially not to two guys like you.

C: Tonight, we'll show why we hold these belts. Why we're head and shoulders above every other team in the GWA.

AS: And we'll show why we're in the Dynasty and why you guys never will be.

(The camera fades from them and goes to the ring. "Drought" by Pelican plays as Kanyon walks down the aisle. He did not have a very good showing last week in the Royal Rumble, being eliminated by Chavo Guerrero Jr. while trying to run away from Damien 666 and Taz. He steps through the ropes and takes the mic.)

Kanyon: It's time for everybody's favorite part of Ground Zero, the Kanyon Challenge! Last week, I'll admit I got eliminated from the Royal Rumble when I was chasing Taz around the ring and Chavo tripped me like the midget he is, but tonight, I'm going to get back on the winning track. Cause after all, who betta than Kanyon?

Crowd: EVERYBODY!

Kanyon: No! No, no, no, no! God...you people... But it's all right. I know you guys are just trying to keep me humble. Anyway, any sane person in the back who wants to challenge me, come on out and I'll take you on.

("Knife Prty" by Deftones plays as Matt Hardy walks down the aisle. He slaps the hands of the fans as he makes his way to the ring and then rolls under the bottom rope. Kanyon tosses the mic out of the ring and prepares himself for the match.)

[Kanyon vs. Matt Hardy]

Hardy charges at Kanyon and rocks him back with some forearms, but Kanyon manages to hit a kneesmash to keel Hardy over. He pops Hardy with a forearm to the back and then throws him into the corner, following in with a couple shoulderblocks. He takes a second to talk to the fans, allowing Hardy to burst out of the corner with a flying clothesline. Kanyon gets up quickly, but Hardy brings him down with another clothesline and covers for two. Both men get up and Hardy kicks Kanyon in the stomach, then hits him with a forearm to knock him into the ropes. He whips Kanyon into the ropes, but Kanyon reverses and brings him down with a flapjack. Hardy pops up holding his ribs and Kanyon measures him before landing a kick right in the side of the ribs. Hardy goes down to all fours and Kanyon moves on top of him, punching him in the head repeatedly. He then brings Hardy back up to his feet and brings him down with a sitdown faceslam, covering for a near fall. He brings Hardy to his feet, but Hardy drops down and stuns him with a jawbreaker, then attacks him with rights and lefts. Kanyon manages to duck under one and goes for the Flatliner, but Hardy gets out of it with an elbowsmash. He then grabs Kanyon and takes him to the mat with the Side Effect and covers, but gets a near fall. Hardy gets to his feet and waits for Kanyon to get up. When he does, Hardy kicks him in the stomach and grabs him for the Twist of Fate. He starts the move, but Kanyon pushes him off midmove, sending Hardy chestfirst into the corner. Kanyon then quickly gets behind Hardy and rolls him up, holding him for three.

Rating: *** 1/4

Kanyon pops up and pumps his fists in the air celebrating while Hardy is on his knees with his hands over his head trying to figure out what happened. Kanyon stands on the turnbuckle and tries to get the crowd to cheer along with him, but his attention is diverted by Hardy throwing a tantrum in the corner. Hardy gets to his feet and kicks the bottom turnbuckle pad repeatedly, then rolls out of the ring and pushes the timekeeper off his chair. He folds it back up and bashes it against the ringpost repeatedly before throwing it in the ring. Kanyon takes the opportunity to leave the ring and dash to the back. Hardy shakes the guardrail in frustration and slowly walks to the back as the crowd boos.

After the match, we cut to Kanyon in the back walking to his dressing room when suddenly Deranged comes out of nowhere.

D: It's here!

K: What?

D: The shipment from the bodyguard place!

(Deranged runs over to Kanyon's dressing room and waves him in. Kanyon [and the camera guy] follow and find a six foot wood-paneled box in the middle of the room.)

K: This is my bodyguard?

D: Yeah. See, look on the tag. "Ahmed's Hired Help".

K: Is it even legal to ship a person like this?

D: Who knows? But let's get it open before he suffocates and you're out your money.

K: Hmm, I guess we'll need a crowbar.

D: Already brought one.

(Deranged takes a crowbar off a chair and uses it to pry the box open. One of the sides of the box, falls on the floor, followed by a slender, 6 foot man, wearing a green mask with tassels on it. He falls to the floor on all fours and gasps for air.)

K: ...

D: ...

K: This is it?

D: I did say you get what you paid for.

K: Exactly! I paid good money!

D: Well...

K: What?

D: You could have paid more.

K: Ridiculous. Hey, what's your name?

Man: *in between breaths* ierhsd hdjksh xkldjf

K: Awesome. He doesn't even speak English.

D: It doesn't sound like he speaks anything.

K: Maybe he's still out of breath. He has been in a package for the last 20 hours.

D: Maybe he can't hear. WHAT'S YOUR NAME?

Man: seiorhgah sherkjh hserkj ahsfkja

(Kanyon sighs and looks down, then notices a sheet of paper on the bottom of the box. He picks it up and reads.)

K: "Thank you for doing business with Ahmed's Hired Help, the leader in discount bodyguards since August 2005. The help you've selected is named Delirious. Due to the low amount of money dedicated to your purchase, your help does not have the amenities of speaking English, or speaking anything recognizeable as well as a modest build. However, your help is extremely loyal and well skilled in fighting. Enjoy your purchase and we hope you'll do business with us again.

P.S."

(Deranged looks around the room.)

D: Oh, what's this?

K: "Don't ring a bell in his presence except when absolutely necessary."

D: Oh, it's a bell. Why would he have a ring bell here? Might as well ring it.

(Kanyon looks up and sees Deranged with the bell. He moves over to stop him for ringing it, but it's too late. The bell rings and Delirious' head pops up. He darts his eyes over the three people in the room and the cameraman immediately drops the camera and darts out the door, closing it behind him. Kanyon and Deranged aren't so lucky and soon the camera picks up their screams and chairs being thrown around. Kanyon drops facefirst in front of the camera and tries to crawl away, but gets dragged back by Delirious offscreen.)

K: No! Not my duodenum! I need that!

D: Mommy!

(We then cut from there to "Livin' La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin plays as Ricky Marvin walks down the aisle. He's a recent addition to the GWA roster and he hasn't had a lot of success so far. He's improving each week though and he's looking to get a big win tonight. He hops over the top rope and bounces off the ropes while waiting for his opponent.

"Simple Man" by the Grouch then plays as Elix Skipper makes his way down the aisle. He had a disappointing showing in last week's Royal Rumble, despite drawing the final number as he fell over the top rope after catching Christopher Daniels in midair. Like Marvin, he's trying to get back on track tonight. Skipper steps through the ropes and slaps hands with Marvin. The bell then rings.)

[Ricky Marvin vs. Elix Skipper]

They lock up and Marvin immediately snaps Skipper to the mat with an armdrag. Skipper rolls back to his feet and Marvin charges at him with a kick to the midsection. He pops him with a couple forearms to the chest and whips him into the ropes, knocking him down with a dropkick. Skipper starts to get up and Marvin strikes him with a kneelift to stagger him. He runs into the ropes again, but Skipper catches him with a spinning leg lariat. He then brings a groggy Marvin up and drops him on his head with a belly-to-back suplex. He makes a cover, but Marvin manages to get a shoulder up. Skipper brings Marvin to his feet, hitting him with forearms as he does. He whips Marvin into the ropes again, but Marvin brings him down with spinning headscissors. Skipper gets up quickly and Marvin hits a jumping side kick to knock him down again. He makes the cover, but Skipper kicks out at two. Both men get up and Marvin punches Skipper in the face, but Skipper responds with a shot of his own and then executes an armwringer. He brings his leg over Marvin's head and quickly snaps him down with the Play of the Day! He makes the cover for three.

Elix Skipper pinned Ricky Marvin with the Play of the Day in 0:04:19.
Rating: ** 3/4

Elix Skipper gets the impressive victory over Ricky Marvin. He gets his arm raised as we go to the back with a prerecorded statement from the Rock.

RM: Steve Corino, the Rock is sick and tired of you. First, you stick your nose in the Rock's business and cost him a match against Chris Jericho. You made me lose to that jabronie! And then, after the Rock knocks you over the top rope last week, you took it upon yourself to reach back in the ring and push the Rock out. So the Rock has a new mission. He's going to whip your ass, the asses of all your Dynasty guys, and whoever else wants to get in the Rock's way. The Rock is going to win the GWA World Title that he deserves and it's clear to the Rock that he has to smack some people down first. So next week, Steve Corino, the Rock has a challenge for you. You take any one of the Dynasty and you face the Rock and a partner of the Rock's choosing in a tag match. And then, when you're getting your ass whooped by the Rock, the Rock can make sure that you never get in his way again. If you smell what the Rock...is cookin.

(We go back to the ring where "Underworld" by Anathema plays as Ultimo Dragon walks down the aisle with his arms folded. He is perhaps the surprise entrant in the Gauntlet match and will be entering first. He's looking to get even more momentum by beating one of his competitors in the match. Dragon steps through the ropes and stands on the middle turnbuckle, looking into the crowd while keeping his arms folded.

"Master of Puppets" by Metallica then plays as Doug Williams makes his way to the entryway and raises his arms in the air. He gained a spot in the Gauntlet match as part of his payment for serving as enforcer for the Angle/Taz match at Fallout. Two weeks ago, he wrestled a match with Johnny Jeter that led to Jeter tearing his ACL, putting him on the shelf for a very long time. Williams steps through the ropes and takes a mic.)

DW: Two weeks ago, before I was interrupted by that halfwit Johnny Jeter, I was telling all of you about Anarchy Rules. And since this match is going to be under Anarchy Rules, I'll explain it. You see, I was given the ability to give some of my matches my own rules...to declare what is or isn't legal. I came here to face off against the best wrestlers in the world. And I'll do that. But against the rest, I need to give myself some handicap. Beat them with a symbolic hand tied behind my back. So for this match, I think that any form of kick should be illegal. Knee strikes and punches are still perfectly fine, but kicks? Unacceptable. And that's Anarchy Rules.

(Williams drops the mic to the mat and the bell rings.)

[Ultimo Dragon vs. Doug Williams]

The announcers discuss how the rules hurt Ultimo Dragon considerably more than Williams as they lock up. Williams gets behind Dragon and lifts him up, taking him chestfirst to the mat. He floats over and applies a front facelock, but Dragon manges to get to his feet, then slip out and bring Williams down with a drop toe-hold, floating over to put Williams in a headlock of his own. Williams gets to his feet and tries to bring Dragon down with a back suplex, but Dragon flips over and lands on his feet. He knocks Williams back with some chops and forearms, then starts to kick him in the chest out of habit, then pulls back to avoid disqualification. This allows Williams to knock him down with a forearm smash. Williams then walks over, bringing Dragon to his knees, then jumps up, bringing both knees into Dragon's face. He covers, but Dragon kicks out at two. Williams brings Dragon to his feet and whips him into the corner. He follows in, but Dragon does a handstand on the turnbuckle. Unfortunately, Dragon can't kick Williams in the chest because of the rules and has no way to get down, so Williams shoves him off the top rope and to the floor. The ref admonishes Williams as Dragon lies sprawled out on the floor. Eventually, Williams brushes the ref aside and leaves the ring. He brings Dragon to his feet and throws him into the guardrail, then smacks him hard with a forearm. He rolls Dragon back into the ring, then climbs to the top rope. He jumps off the top rope with a flying kneedrop and hits it. He makes the cover, but Dragon gets a shoulder up for the near fall. He drags Dragon to his feet and whips him into the ropes, hitting him with a knee to the stomach as he passes. Dragon flops to the ground, but immediately rolls Williams up for two. Both men get up and Williams nails Dragon with a lariat to stop him again. He brings Dragon to his feet and whips him into the corner. He follows in with a running high knee, but Dragon moves out of the way! Wiliams stumbles backward and Dragon brings him to the mat with a back suplex. Williams rolls over and gets to his feet, but Dragon meets him with a couple forearms, then jumps on the middle rope and comes back with an Asai moonsault! He holds Williams down, but Williams gets a shoulder up for the near fall. Both men get up and Williams runs at Dragon, who snaps him down with spinning headscissors. Dragon quickly scrambles to the top rope, then jumps off with a flying cross body press to take Williams down. Williams kicks out at two and scrambles to the corner, trying to untie the turnbuckle pad. The ref runs over and stops him, then reties the pad on. While the ref's distracted, Williams runs over and blasts Dragon with a kick to the head! Dragon lands hard on the mat, then Williams brings him up and runs him into the corner, rolling back out with the Chaos Theory. The ref gets back in position to make the three count.

[Anarchy Rules - Kicks are Illegal]:
Doug Williams pinned Ultimo Dragon with the Chaos Theory in 0:08:54.
Rating: **** 1/4

Williams gets the win over Ultimo Dragon, though he did cheat in his own match. Ultimo Dragon did very well for himself despite not being able to use any of his many kicks. Williams raises his arms in the air as he walks to the back.

We then cut to Adam Bramlage standing by with Taz.

AB: Taz, last week, you got into the Gauntlet match by surviving over an hour in the Royal Rumble match before being thrown out by Ken Shamrock. Any thoughts on the Gauntlet?

Taz: That's right. I fought for an hour against pretty much everybody in the GWA. I entered 6th and I finished second. And that is a very bad thing for the other five men in the match. I came as close as a man can come to the title at Fallout. That could have...should have...been me being given the World Title two weeks ago. But Angle managed to fight just long enough in the Tazmission to roll me up. But now, I've been given a second chance and I'll definitely be making the most of it. Kurt, I bet you thought you were rid of me...that all those words you said wouldn't come back to haunt you since you managed to fluke out a victory. Well, you're wrong. And now, I have even more motivation to choke you out as soon as I see you. And as for Doug Williams, I have unfinished business with you too. Ever since you came to the GWA, I've wanted to choke you out. And at Day of the Dead I will. As for the rest of you guys, you can try your best, but it won't be enough. Beat me if you can boys...survive if I let you.

(Taz walks out of the shot as Bramlage throws it back to the ring. "At the Helm" by Hieroglyphics plays as the Spanish Announce Team walk down the aisle and enter the ring. They've had mixed success in the tag ranks, but a win here can greatly boost their resume and get them in line for a title shot.

"Chinga Tu Madre" by Brujeria plays as Mexico's Most Wanted come down the aisle led by Jake Roberts. MMW have been laying waste to teams left and right since entering the GWA. The announcers report that Tajiri has had to remove himself from the GWA roster after the vicious shot that Damien 666 gave him last week, causing him to land hard on top of the guardrail. Mexico's Most Wanted step through the ropes and the bell rings.)

[The Spanish Announce Team vs. Mexico's Most Wanted (w/Jake Roberts)]

Halloween and Damien rush the SAT and beat them with forearms to the back and kicks. Damien kicks Joel out of the ring and follows, leaving Halloween and Jose on the inside. Halloween stomps Jose in the head repeatedly, then brings him to his feet and whips him into the corner, following in with an avalanche. Jose staggers out of the corner and Halloween grabs the back of his head and plants him into the mat. Jose gets to his knees and Halloween brings his hands down with an axhandle to knock him back down to the mat. He brings Jose to his feet and goes for a DDT, but Jose fights out with punches to the midsection. Halloween staggers back and Jose whips him into the ropes, knocking him down with a spinning leg lariat. He tags in Joel, who comes in and knocks him down with a lariat. Halloween pops back up and Joel hits him with forearms, then whips him into the ropes, but Halloween reverses. Damien clubs Joel in the head as he passes the ropes and Halloween picks him up, dropping him with a backbreaker. He tags in Damien, then picks Joel up and slams him to the mat as Damien comes off the top rope with a flying headbutt. Joel rolls on the mat, holding his chest in pain as Damien tries to intimidate Jose. Damien brings Joel to his feet, but Joel manages to respond with a kick to the midsection and a swinging neckbreaker. Damien gets up slowly and Joel stomps on his head a couple times before pushing him into the ropes. He whips him across the ring, but Damien reverses and then nails Joel with a Western lariat! He makes a cover, but Jose interrupts the count. Damien tosses Joel over to Jose's corner, who tags himself in. Jose hops over the top rope, firing into Damien with a series of punches. Damien blocks one and then pokes Jose in the eye before bringing him down with a gutwrench suplex. He tags in Halloween, then hits Jose with an atomic drop as Halloween comes off the ropes to blast him with a kick to the head. Damien leaves the ring and is tagged in again as he climbs to the top rope. Halloween puts Jose in the pendulum and Damien comes off the top for the Armed Robbery! Damien covers Jose as Halloween cuts off Joel and gets the three.

Mexico's Most Wanted defeated The Spanish Announce Team when Damien 666 pinned Jose after the Armed Robbery in 0:07:17.
Rating: ** 1/2

Mexico's Most Wanted has obliterated the SAT! They roll Jose and Joel out of the ring as Jake Roberts steps through the ropes, mic in hand.

JR: I have just one thing to say tonight. Young Lions, I'm sure you think that we're going to attack you again, just like we did at Fallout. That's not the case. You see, we took you out at Fallout, but since you're the golden boys of the GWA, you got a title shot anyway. Ridiculous. But I'm not going to be fooled again. We'll leave you alone tonight, and in fact, I hope you two win tonight. I've gotten a match for Day of the Dead: The Young Lions vs. Mexico's Most Wanted. And should you win tonight, that'll be for the titles. Either way, you'll find out our desire to stay remembered. Trust me...

There aren't many tag teams that want a piece of Mexico's Most Wanted, but it looks like the Young Lions are going to meet them at Day of the Dead.

("Alkaholik" by Xzibit plays as Spanky struts his way down the ring. He earned this shot by throwing Chavo Guerrero Jr. over the top rope last week in the Royal Rumble. He's also been making the name for himself both in singles and tag competition, but this has to be the biggest match he's been in so far. Spanky hops on the apron and steps in the ring, dancing a little as he waits for the champion.

"Daylight" by Aesop Rock then plays as Chavo Guerrero Jr. walks out with the T.V. Title around his waist. He won the belt two weeks ago by pinning a weakened Lance Storm to claim the vacated title. This is his first title defense and he rolls under the bottom rope, then takes his belt off and hands it to the ref.)

[Spanky vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.]

They start out by trading forearm shots. Chavo gets the best of the exchange and forces Spanky into the ropes, whipping him across the ring. Spanky ducks under a back elbow and manages to connect with a flying forearm on the way back. Chavo slowly gets to his feet and Spanky runs at him, knocking him down with a flying clothesline. He then jumps on top of Chavo and starts choking him. The ref forces the break and Spanky does, but then stomps Chavo in the head. He brings Chavo to his feet, but Chavo responds with a European uppercut to send Spanky sprawling to the corner. He runs in and connects with a lariat, then brings him out with a vertical suplex. He picks Spanky up again and slams him to the mat, then runs into the ropes for an elbowdrop. Spanky rolls out of the way and knocks Chavo down with a leg lariat. He makes the cover, but Chavo kicks out at two. Chavo gets to his feet and Spanky runs at him, but Chavo throws him onto the ropes with a Hotshot, snapping Spanky down to the mat. Chavo takes the time to shake off the cobwebs, then brings Spanky to his feet, shoving him in the corner. He hits him with some forearms, but Spanky pokes him in the eye to regain advantage. He throws Chavo in the corner and kicks him repeatedly, but Chavo eventually comes back with a forearm to the face. He knocks Spanky back with a European uppercut, then shuffles to the second rope and jumps off, knocking Spanky down with another European uppercut. Chavo makes the cover, but Spanky kicks out. Chavo brings Spanky up to his feet and picks him up for a bodyslam, but Spanky slides down his back and connects with a Russian legsweep. He makes a cover, but Chavo gets a shoulder up in time. Both men get up and Spanky knocks Chavo down with a spinning leg lariat. He climbs to the top rope and waits for Chavo to get up. Spanky then jumps off the top with a flying leg lariat as Chavo regains his bearings, but Chavo manages to duck out of the way. Spanky hits the mat hard and struggles to his feet, allowing Chavo to run at him and drop him with a bulldog. Spanky lies flat on the mat and Chavo brings him up, driving him to the mat with a brain buster. He then climbs to the top rope and jumps off with a frog splash. It connects and he hooks the leg for three.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. pinned Spanky after a frog splash in 0:08:11.
Rating: ** 1/2
(Chavo Guerrero Jr. retained the GWA T.V. Title.)

Chavo Guerrero Jr. has a successful first title defense by cleanly pinning Spanky. Spanky put up a good fight and came close to capturing the title, but Chavo had too much experience and pulled out the win. He gets his belt back and straps it around his waist before leaving the ring and heading to the back.

We go to the back where Elix Skipper is walking...until Chris Daniels steps in front of him.

CD: Pretty good job tonight.

ES: Yeah, I know.

CD: But Ricky Marvin's small potatoes. Next, you're going to see what a real wrestler looks like.

ES: Yeah, sure, Chris. Are you done?

CD: *chuckle* No, this isn't nearly done. This won't end until you say that I'm the better wrestler and that you're completely insignificant.

ES: Whatever man.

(Skipper walks away as Daniels glares back at him. We then cut to the ring, where "The Hollow" by A Perfect Circle plays as Lance Storm walks down the aisle. He acknowledges the fans that are cheering him and steps into the ring. He's been getting into a feud with the Dynasty as of late, started by Chris Jericho's refusal to accept him into the group. He managed to pin Rhyno two weeks ago, but didn't have enough left to fight off Chavo Guerrero Jr. after and lost the title.

"Head Like a Hole" by Nine Inch Nails plays as Christopher Daniels walks to the entryway, wearing a robe and hood. He walks down the aisle, praying the entire time. Daniels broke up Triple X about two months ago, but has been fighting off Elix Skipper since then. He's vowed to show that he doesn't need Skipper and winning tonight will be a big step in that direction. Daniels steps through the ropes and takes off his robe, tossing it over the top rope. He stretches on the ropes and the bell rings.)

[Lance Storm vs. Christopher Daniels]

They measure each other up and then lock up. Daniels gets Storm in a headlock, then takes him to the mat. Storm rolls Daniels onto his shoulders for a two count, but Daniels rolls back over keeping the headlock applied. He squeezes Storm's neck, causing Storm to hit him with forearms to the back until he lets go. Both men get to their feet and Storm takes Daniels down with a double-leg takedown. He tries to turn Daniels over for a Boston crab, but Daniels manages to kick him off. He gets to his feet and charges, but Storm brings him down with a hiptoss. Daniels scrambles to his feet and Storm catches him in the face with a dropkick. Daniels gets up holding his jaw and Storm rocks him with a forearm smash. He whips Daniels into the ropes, but Daniels reverses and catches him with a leg lariat. He chokes Storm on the mat for a few seconds, then brings him up and slaps him in the chest. Storm steps back a bit and Daniels follows with chops and slaps. Storm hits a kneesmash to double Daniels over, but Daniels pokes him in the eye to immediately regain control. He grabs Storm by the waist and throws him down with a waistlock suplex. He moves over and makes the cover, but Storm kicks out at two. He brings Storm to a seated position and applies a sleeper. Storm fights to his feet and hits Daniels with a couple elbows to the gut. Storm hits another elbow to break free and runs into the ropes. He tries to hit him with a lariat, but Daniels ducks under and drops him with the STO. He makes the cover and Storm kicks out again. Daniels picks Storm up and slams him to the mat, then runs over to the corner. He hops up the turnbuckles and comes back with the Best Moonsault Ever, but Storm rolls out of the way! Daniels bounces up holding his ribs and Storm picks him up, hitting an atomic drop. Daniels hops up and down, keeled over, allowing Storm to kick him in the head to take him to the mat. He leaves to the apron as Daniels gets to his feet, then comes back in with a springboard dropkick! Daniels flies backward and Storm rolls him over and covers, but Daniels gets his shoulder up for the near fall. Daniels starts to get to his feet, but Storm punches him repeatedly. Daniels slingshots Storm into the corner and then connects with a back suplex as Storm staggers back. Daniels brings Storm to his feet and whips him into the corner, but Storm reverses it. Daniels hits hard and staggers out, allowing Storm to pop him in the chin with a superkick. Daniels falls like a stone and Storm makes the cover, but Daniels gets a shoulder up for a near fall! Storm brings Daniels up and goes behind him, trying to lift him up with a German suplex, but Daniels holds onto the ropes. Daniels hits him with a series of elbows to make him break his grasp and Storm turns away, dropping to a knee. Daniels darts in and lifts him, hitting the Blue Thunder Bomb! The ref counts, but Storm gets a shoulder up just before three. Daniels gets frustrated, but brings Storm up and sets him up for the Angel's Wings. He starts to lift him up, but Storm squirms free and brings Daniels down with an armbar takedown. He tries to apply a Fujiwara armbar, but Daniels stays on his knees and fights it. Daniels rolls through to break the hold and gets up, charging at Storm. Storm, though, rolls him up in a small package and holds him for the three.

Lance Storm pinned Christopher Daniels after a small package in 0:09:09.
Rating: *** 3/4

Lance Storm steals the win away from Christopher Daniels! Daniels slaps the mat and rolls out of the ring as Storm stands in the ring with his arms raised. Daniels gets to the back and "Medal" plays as Kurt Angle walks out to the entryway with a mic.

KA: Okay, Lance, as far as I'm concerned, I don't even need to watch the last match. You showed up Daniels completely in your match. You get the title shot next week.

Storm nods at Angle, but otherwise doesn't show much of a change in expression.

KA: But don't think you're going to win Lance. At the end of the day, you're going to tap like everyone else. Oh, it's true.

("Medal" starts up again as Angle raises his arms in the air and heads to the back. Storm has a small smirk on his face when we cut to the back.

The Young Lions are WALKING. AJ Styles and Christian are WALKING. Tonight's main event is next!)

(Back at the ring, "Lounge Act" by Nirvana plays as the Young Lions run down the aisle, slapping the hands of the fans as they do. They received this title shot because they were attacked by Mexico's Most Wanted during the Scramble match at Fallout, removing them from that match. They've been at odds with the Tag Team champions ever since the GWA's inception, but this is the first time these two teams have wrestled for the Tag Team Titles. They enter the ring and slap hands while waiting for their opponents.

"God Hates a Coward" by Tomahawk then plays as the GWA Tag Team champions, AJ Styles and Christian, walk down the aisle. Christian has his belt draped over his shoulder while Styles is wearing his around his waist. These two defeated Chris Benoit and Ken Shamrock to win the belts at Fallout and are having their first title defense tonight. Interestingly enough, these two men started teaming together in part because they both hated the Young Lions. They step through the ropes and hand their titles to the ref, who holds them up. Both teams then go nose-to-nose as the bell rings.)

[The Young Lions vs. AJ Styles and Christian]

York and Styles start out. York tries to lock up, but Styles kicks him in the stomach and then hits him with a kneelift to knock him down. York holds his face as Styles hits him with a couple stomps before bringing him to his feet. York responds with forearms to the face and then takes Styles down to the mat, putting him in an armbar. Styles gets up to his feet and York lets go then grabs him from behind. He lifts him up for a German suplex, but Styles blocks it and hits a couple elbowsmashes to break free. He tags in Christian, who comes in charging at York, knocking him down with a clothesline. York gets up quickly and Christian whips him across the ring, bringing him down with a drop toe-hold. He then floats over and smacks York in the back of the head. York starts to get to his feet, but Christian stomps him to stop that. Christian drops a knee on York, then rolls him over and chokes him. He breaks it before the ref disqualifies him and brings York to his feet. He hits York with a couple kneesmashes, but York catches a breather by armdragging Christian to the mat. Christian gets to his feet and York connects with an inverted atomic drop, and then another before whipping Christian into the ropes, bringing him to the mat with a drop toe-hold. He floats over and slaps Christian in the back of the head. Christian rolls away and throws a tantrum in the corner as York tags in Matthews. Matthews comes in and rocks Christian with a series of punches before knocking him down with a dropkick. Christian scrambles to his feet holding his face, but Matthews stays on him, clubbing him from behind with a forearm. He whips Christian into the ropes, and Styles tags himself in as Christian passes, but Matthews still brings Christian down with a hiptoss. Matthews turns around and Styles pops him with a springboard forearm to knock him down. Matthews gets up slowly and Styles whips him into the ropes. Christian drops to the mat in front of him to make Matthews hop over him, but Styles uses that moment to hit him with a perfect dropkick to the face! Matthews lands awkwardly and Styles covers for a near fall. Styles brings Matthews to his feet and whips him into the ropes, but lowers his head too quickly and Matthews kicks him in the face to knock him down. Matthews tags in York, who comes in and delivers lariats to both Styles and Christian. However, Styles then takes York out with a spin kick.

Styles brings York to his feet and slams him to the mat, then tags in Christian. They bring York to his feet and whip him into the ropes, throwing him in the air with a big flapjack. York rolls over and crawls to the ropes to get away, but Christian comes over and chokes him on the middle rope. The ref makes him break and gives him a warning, but Christian brushes him aside and brings York to his feet. He whips him into the ropes and pops him with a back elbow to knock him down. York pops up to a seated position, but Christian pushes him on his back and drops three consecutive knees on his chest. He makes a cover, but Matthews breaks the pin. The ref forces him back into the corner as Christian chokes away at York. He eventually stops and brings York to his feet, putting him in an abdominal stretch. The ref checks to see if York wants to submit (he doesn't), while Styles grabs Christian's arm to give him extra leverage, but releases before the ref can see it. After a few of these exchanges, the ref pops his head up early and sees the cheating, then kicks Christian's and Styles' hands free. York takes the opportunity to hiptoss Christian to the mat and crawl to his corner. He starts to reach it, but Christian cuts him off and brings him to his feet, but York stuns him wiht a jawbreaker. Christian drops to his knees as York crawls the last bit and tags in Matthews! Matthews comes in as Christian tags in Styles and knocks Styles to the mat with a spinning leg lariat. Christian comes back in and Matthews picks him up and slams him. Styles gets up again, but Matthews slams him again. York recovers and runs at Christian, clotheslining him over the top rope to the floor. Styles gets up wobbily and Matthews brings him down with a back suplex. He climbs to the top rope as York brings Styles up for a vertical suplex. Matthews steadies himself, then jumps off with a flying dropkick to complete the Train Wreck, but Christian comes in and chopblocks York to send him and Styles to the mat. Matthews whiffs totally and crashes to the mat as Christian knocks York out of the ring with a baseball slide. Styles gets to his feet as Matthews rolls in pain. Christian brings him to his feet and whips him into the ropes, tossing him in the air with a backdrop. Styles catches him and then puts him in position for the Styles Clash. He then drops forward to hit it and rolls Matthews over for the three count.

The Dynasty (AJ Styles and Christian) defeated The Young Lions when Styles pinned Matthews with the Styles Clash in 0:11:30.
Rating: *** 1/2
(The Dynasty retained the GWA Tag Team Titles.)

AJ Styles and Christian retain! The Young Lions fought hard, especially Christian York coming back from his injury, but Styles and Christian were too good of a team to be beaten tonight. Styles brings Matthews up to his feet and throws him out of the ring as Christian gets their titles. He hands Styles his belt and they raise them in the air as the camera fades out.

Just saw the card, good stuff.  Never read the fed much but noticed "God Hates A Coward" by Tomahawk as a theme song.  Great choice, one of the best songs that just screams wrestling theme.
AzraelPosted on 07/21/07 at 00:23:20

Good to see you enjoyed it. Hopefully, I'll be able to crank these out faster than I have been.

I do spend a lot of time on picking theme songs for people, especially since you can't actually hear them during the writeup.  ;D
