Match observations:
We are just four days away from Heat Wave and business has rally picked up in the CWA. The final card has been cemented and it looks to be out of this world. Of course, one of the big mysteries is who, in fact, will answer Tito Ortiz' open challenge. All we know is that Traci Brooks will be debuting the so called "Centerpiece of Brooks International" at Heat Wave. Tito has defeated both members of Virtual Insanity individually over the last two weeks and tonight he took them on in a handicap match. New week, same result as Ortiz choked out Deranged with his Rear Naked Choke. After the match, Traci Brooks came out of the back and applauded Ortiz for his convincing victory. She told Ortiz that it is one thing to beat up Virtual Insanity week in and week out but things will be completely different when he steps into the ring with her man on Sunday.

All three men participating in the triangle match on Sunday were in singles competition tonight and all three looked exceptional. Of the three, AJ Styles looked the best as he and Bryan Danielson put on a wrestling clinic in just over five minutes. Jeff Hardy and Daniel Puder went on for ten minutes with Puder controlling a majority of the match until Hardy's high risk, high reward offense got him back in the match and ultimately won it for him. It was clear to the fans in attendance that Jerry Lynn is focused on this Sunday and his match against Chavo Guerrero. Edge isn't the wrestler you can look passed as he capitalized on several Lynn mistakes, ultimately culminating in a Spear for the victory. One has to believe that the winner of this match will put himself in prime position to challenge the winner of the CM Punk/Randy Orton match for the World Heavyweight Title.

Both participants in the main event had tune up matches tonight. CM Punk took on Chavo Guerrero and Randy Orton made his first title defense against one half of the North American Tag Team Champions, Austin Aries. Both looked impressive in their respective outings. CM Punk took on a less than 100% Guerrero as Jerry Lynn jumped him before the match even began. By the time that referees got control of the situation the damage had been done. Guerrero fought valiantly but CM Punk is on a whole different level right now. Orton looked equally focused as he made his first ever World Heavyweight Title defense. Originally the match was scheduled to be a non-title affair but Orton and Aries got into a heated confrontation backstage earlier in the night. Orton told Aries flat out that he is a loser and doesn't deserve to be World Heavyweight Champion. He told Aries that Roderick Strong's back must hurt since he is the one that carries Generation NEXT. He responded by asking Orton that if he was such a loser then why doesn't he put the World Title on the line, since Aries obviously posed *no* chance at winning the belt. Orton agreed and said that Aries will get the first shot. These two put on a great match and it looked as if Aries was going to be a double champion as he had Orton set up for the 450 Splash but the champ was able to roll away and get on the offensive, eventually hitting the RKO for the victory and his first title defense.

One last match was added to the card as the opener will feature a Triple Threat match between Daniel Puder, Bryan Danielson and the debuting "All That" Adam Jacobs. The final card has been set for CWA Heat Wave 2007 and it looks like this:

World Heavyweight Title Match
