EWF- International Incident

shapyPosted on 07/16/07 at 10:16:38

Check out this huge event to crown the first EWF International champion. Plus a contract signing between Bam Bam Bigelow and Ted DiBiase for the World title. It's a bit of a longer read than my other's, but a really good one if I do say so. Please let me know what your reactions are. Thanks, and enjoy!

I needed to read the past cards to get up to speed so some of my comments will also reflect things you've done previous to the PPV.

I like how you have Backlund and Flair both in charge of running things. The decisions are made 50/50. Keeping in mind that Flair IS the "Dirtiest Player In The Game" I do believe things will be shaken up much sooner than later, though.

Historically, Virgil should not be with Dibiase. I think in the few years prior to 2001 Virgil has proven that he would not make much of a bodyguard. However, you may be able to convince me otherwise. I do like the unique combo of Dibiase & Dawn Marie. I think Marie's character would fit well with Dibiase but not too sure what they're connection is about.

I think a Punk/Jericho program would, on paper,  TEH BESTEST~! I'm not too sure if fighting over a girl is exactly the right circumstances, though. We'll see how it plays out.

The buildup for Dibiase and Bigelow is tremendous, as you also seem to be building up tension between the two owners through your top stars. I'm excited to see how the Iron Man match pans out and whether or not Flair has a hand in the outcome. As of now, it's essentially 1-on-3 with Dibiase's entourage, so Bigelow's got the deck stacked against him.

The thing I took out away from the tournament aside from the obvious of Tajiri winning the belt is Scorprio's push. He clearly had the toughest road in the tournament and I feel like you may be building him for bigger things than the International Championship.

All in all, the fed is going well and I'm a fan. You have a couple of key players involved that I'm using in my forthcoming project. The house show idea is neat, mainly because you just don't see that with TNM circuits. Your writeups are good and to the point, although, even you said it, International Incident was a bit lengthy.

VERTIGO,
thanks for the indepth comments. much appreciated. i know most of us here really enjoy knowing how other people react to our feds. yeah, things are really going to be put in full throttle, so to speak, but it takes a few cards to build up, you know? and yes, the write up for Int'l Incident was long, and to be honest, i did not really enjoy spending all that time on it, but i did it to myself by insisting i have a 16 man tournament. that is why i'm only sticking to making Friday night Uncensored a 1 hour program roughly. it will be less for me to write each and every time if i try to cram all my angles and talent into one show, say 2 or 3 hours long. also, that's another reason why i made my roster relatively small, for now, so that i can concentrate on the  key players i want to.

but again, thanks for reading and your thoughts! i intend on returning the favor to you...

This was a really nice card. Looking at the original 16 wrestlers I probably would not have picked Tajiri as the eventual winner. His antics throughout the evening made me despise him! EVIL JAP~!

I agree with Vertigo when it comes to Too Cold Scorpio. I thought for sure that Booker was going to take him out since he received the bye but I was wrong. I really hope that this is the start of something big for Too Cold as he is a personal favorite of mine and is often underused in the TNM world.

The Punk/Trish connection is an interesting one. Punk is definitely a ladies man IRL so it doesn't surprise me that he gats paired with one of the more attractive females in the history of wrestling.

I want to see Piper and Douglas duel....TO THE DEATH~!

Good work, sir.
