MCPW Live
Cobo Hall
Detroit, MI - 07/20/07-

Welcome to Detroit, Michigan. This week MCPW is coming to you live from the Cobo Hall and what a card we have lined up tonight. Brock Lesnar is in the ring who later tonight will take on Christian Cage for the MCPW title. After the crowd calms down Lesnar talks about how last Cage's actions confirmed every rumor he heard. That Cage was nothing but a bully surrounded by smaller bullies. That if you took the fight to the bully he would back down and not fight. Lasner said tonight the bulling stops. Tonight a bigger bully is in town and is going to dismantle everything Cage has done in MCPW. Lasner finishes by saying that the first thing he is going to take is the MCPW title.

Punk worked over Smith and placed him on the Bed of Nails for the win. Attendants quickly took Harry Smith to the back for attention by doctors.

One reporter ask about the allegations that Brock Lesnar was involved in the attack against former TV champion AJ Styles and what was going to be done? DeMott just said that they were still looking into it but nothing has been confirmed.  Another reporter asked why has Lesnar, a new star here in MCPW was able to jump in and challenge for the MCPW title? DeMott answered by saying that Lesnar's past accomplishments and proven track record was enough to show he was a main eventer. The last reporter said that he has heard that Cage has not arrived yet and may not show. If he does not show what will happen? DeMott answered by saying "simple he will be stripped of the title and we will go from there". The reporters started fireing off more questions but DeMott said he had to go and will talk them on Wednesday like usual.

MCPW Heavyweight Title No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Christian Cage pinned Brock Lesnar with the Unprettier in 0:17:43.
Rating: ***
(Christian Cage retained the MCPW Heavyweight Title.)

It was clear who the fans wanted to win this one. You could feel it in the air that something was about to go down. With the Coalition banned from ringside everyone knew we were looking at the final moments of the Cage Era. But alas Cage shows again why he held the title for as long as he had. Cage did what no one thought he would and took the fight to Lesnar. That didn't mean that Cage was running away with the match, Lesnar was all over Cage but the champ held his till he saw his opening and slid out the ring. With no countout we knew Cage was not trying to get counted out again. Lesnar followed Cage around the ring. Cage grabbed the title off the table and hit Lesnar square between the eyes. Cage regained his strut and swagger as he dragged Lesnar's body in to the ring. He made one more gesture to the crowd then hit the Unprettier on Lesnar and picked up the win. Cage skid out the ring, picked up the belt and slowly made his way to the back as the sold out crowd lit in to him.

Wow! I'm surprised to see Cage pick up the win over Lesnar... but, seeing has how it was no DQ/no count out, the odds were in the champ's favor. I highly doubt that Cage would be successful in a regular singles match.

must admit, there's some talent here i haven't heard of. it looks like a lot of people are using harry smith. i have yet to actually see him in action for myself, as to why i'm hesitant to use him. but, i really liked the bed of nails match. hardcore. i dig christian cage as champ and happy to see him go over brock.
