Backstage: The Rock arrives at the arena. He's asking people hanging around if they've seen Kevin Nash.

Locker room: The Rock runs into X Pac. X Pac explains he hasn't seen Nash since Smackdown last week. The Rock exits without saying a word.

Footage of Piper & Tatanka challenging Jerry Lawler, Honky Tonk Man, and Jeff Jarrett to a 6 man tag team match at King Of The Ring airs.


Kane pinned Tatanka with the Choke Slam From Hell in 0:05:59.

In the ring: Afterwards, Jerry Lawler starts to taunt Tatanka. He then smacks him around a little bit until Piper runs out to face Lawler.

Lawler agrees to the match at the ppv and wants to know who their third man will be.
Piper tells him not to worry about it and be concerned with not getting his ass kicked too bad.

Smackdown highlights air.

Ringside: Jim Ross discusses the debut of the Midwest Wrestling Federation beginning Friday, June 29th.
He announces we'll get a sneak preview of some of the talent on Smackdown this week as an 8 man tag team match will take place. On one team will be CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, and Harry Smith.
The opposing team will be Chavo Guerrero, Gregory Helms, Joey Mercury, and Johnny Nitro.

Backstage: X Pac is shown getting ready for his match.

Ringside: Jim Ross talks about the King Of The Ring PPV this Sunday.

In the main event, Andre the Giant defends the Heavyweight Title against The Undertaker.

Strike Force defend the Tag Team Titles against Demolition.

In a 6 man tag team match announced earlier this evening, Roddy Piper, Tatanka, and a mystery partner will face Jerry Lawler, Honky Tonk Man, and Jeff Jarrett.

And of course the 8 Man King Of The Ring tournament:




Ringside: Via satellite, Andre the Giant is interviewed by Jim Ross. They discuss the match with The Undertaker, as well as the possibility that Vince McMahon maybe involved with The Undertaker.

During the interview, the feed starts to flicker a bit. It then goes out briefly and when it comes back on The Undertaker is standing in a graveyard. He cuts a promo telling Andre at King Of The Ring he will be another victim.

We then return to Raw and Jim Ross asks Andre what his thoughts are on what he just heard. Andre says he doesn't fear the dead man and he will take care of him Sunday night.

Locker room: Mean Gene Okerlund is with both Chris Jericho and Brian Pillman.
Chris Jericho talks about how confident he is heading into the King Of The Ring tournament this Sunday and how strong he feels his odds are of winning.
Pillman interrupts him that if he had qualified, Jericho wouldn't stand a chance and he'll prove it out in the ring next.

Aisle way: After the match, Mean Gene talks to Jericho again and ask if this shakes his confidence. Before he has a chance to answer, Kurt Angle begins to make his way to the ring. He stops and says of course Jericho's confidence is shaken, because Angle is in the tournament.
He tells him that everyone better get use to bowing before their new king.

[Roddy Piper interfered against Jeff Jarrett.]


Locker room: DX is sitting around as Shawn Michaels is on his cell phone with someone. The Rock enters and Scott Hall restrains X Pac.  Rock wants to know where Nash is. They tell him he's out of town and aren't sure when he'll return. The Rock says he'll face any of them in the ring tonight and won't stop until he gets to Nash.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Locker room:The Rock is upset and pacing back and forth. Hulk Hogan enters and tells him he thought what Nash did was wrong and if Rock needs any help he's on his side.  Rock thanks him and tells him come out to the ring later tonight, he's got a challenge.

Office: Mr. McMahon is with Big John Studd when The Rock enters. The Rock wants to know what he plans on doing about Kevin Nash. Mr. McMahon answers that he's busy with his own concerns about the King Of The Ring PPV Sunday night. He tells Rock that his lawyers tell him there is nothing he can do about Kevin Nash. Kevin Nash has a legal contract and The Rock is going to have to get it back on his own.

Gorilla Monsoon talks about Smackdown being pre-empted next week for the debut of the Midwest Wrestling Federation. You will see a preview of some of the talent involved in our next match.

Near the end of the match, Piper distracted Honky Tonk Man. When Honky Tonk Man turned around Michaels hit him with the super kick.

In the ring: After the match, The Rock comes out to call out DX.
Triple H & Scott Hall come to the ring. Rock tells them until he gets to Nash, he'll just keep on beating up on DX. and wants to face them right here, right now. They agree and start fighting when Hulk Hogan comes to the ring followed by some WWF officials. They try to get things calmed down.

Jim Ross discusses some of the matches we will see tonight and just as he is about to finish Rob Van Dam's enterance music begins and we are underway.

Ringside: The commentators are discussing what Mr. McMahon is doing following The Undertaker. Jesse Ventura says I told you so! Undertaker has got to be working with McMahon.
